Samsung Auracast feature is now ‘Audio Broadcast’

Samsung has quietly rebranded its Auracast feature to Audio broadcast. With its new identity, the function has seized a clearer future. The rebranding has happened in One UI 8.5, Samsung’s next iteration on Android 16.

Galaxy Buds app now has the Audio broadcast feature in place of Samsung Auracast, via NingSP. This subtle change in identity is stapled with a visual treat, too. The interface looks so clean, featuring a cosmic design with an elegant gradient.

Auracast is becoming an Audio broadcast, but the core standard is unchanged. The feature’s description traces its roots to Auracast. The rename is just Samsung’s way to differentiate Auracast on Galaxy from other Androids.

One UI 8.5’s Audio broadcast feature allows you to broadcast sounds like music and voice from your phone to nearby devices. It’s literally a magical feature with no limitation on connections to share your phone’s sound.

It just requires devices to stay within the range of the signal. Devices compatible with Auracast within the main phone’s signal range operate uninterruptedly. It’s a great tool for group enjoyment by sharing immersive audio.

The redesign also includes a floating navigation menu for the application. The Audio broadcast page has two options, namely Share and Listen. Use them as per your requirement, be on Share if you’re sharing, or switch to Listen to join.

One UI 8.5 Beta is expected to launch today. Even if it misses today’s launch, which is highly anticipated, it would appear this week. Samsung fans are eagerly waiting to welcome the new software with great offerings.
