Now Nudges in One UI 8.5 might use Androidβs Contextual Suggestions
Samsungβs One UI 8.5 is currently in the beta testing phase, and this update will bring several new and smart features to Galaxy devices. Now Nudges feature is one of the main highlights of One UI 8.5, which shows useful information automatically, so users donβt have to search for it.
A reliable tipster, Assemble Debug, has noticed a new feature called Contextual Suggestions in Google Play Services. This feature was earlier known as Magic Cue and was only available on Pixel 10 phones. Google is now making it available for more Android devices. This suggests Samsungβs Now Nudges may be using the same system.
Contextual Suggestions understand how and where you use your phone. Based on that, apps can show helpful tips at the right time. For example, a music app may suggest workout songs at the gym. A video app may suggest casting a match to your TV at home.
All data used for this feature stays on your phone in an encrypted space. Nothing is sent to Googleβs servers, and data is deleted after 60 days. Samsung may add more Now Nudges features with future phones, including the Galaxy S26. This feature aims to make Galaxy phones smarter and easier to use.
Samsung already confirmed that the stable One UI 8.5 update will debut with the Galaxy S26 series next year. After that, more Galaxy devices will get this major update.
