Expert names three players who could leave West Ham in summer
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness has now warned that West Ham United could lose multiple key players in the summer if they are relegated at the end of the season.
West Ham is fighting for survival in the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see if they can secure safety in the flight. They have multiple quality players at their disposal who will not want to compete in the second division of English football.
They must ensure safety to keep those players at the club. According to the former Everton CEO, players like Mateus Fernandes, Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville could leave the club in the summer if West Ham United go down.
Three players who could leave West Ham
He told Football Insider: βCertainly relegation, heβd be gone. Summerville will be gone, no doubt about it.
βHeβs caught the eye, heβs done very well, and heβs fighting hard for West Ham, showing himself to be a quality player, and heβs got no shortage of suitors.
βBut even if they stayed up, the financial constraints that West Ham are in right now may mean that one of their big names will have to be sold anyway.
βAnd thatβs the difficult thing and there will be Fernandes, Summerville, Bowen, those would be the sort of names that would be on everybodyβs lips in terms of what theyβre going to do.β
Can West Ham survive the drop?
All three players have been linked with multiple clubs in recent months, and it will be interesting to see where they end up. There is unlikely to be a shortage of clubs looking to provide them with an exit route. The Hammers must do everything in their power to survive the drop.
There is no doubt that they have quality players at their disposal, and they also have a quality manager. They should be doing a lot better than they have this season.
