Austin Goosby, one of the top wings in the 2026 class, has trimmed his list to four schools, he told Rivals. The 6-foot-5 small forward will move forward with Baylor, BYU, Duke, and Texas as his finalists. He’s also locked in his commitment date for November 14.

Goosby, a high-four-star prospect, has taken official visits to each of his finalists.

Prior to cutting his list down, Goosby also considered SMU, Miami, and others.

He is the No. 23 overall player in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Goosby talks about his game + what he’s looking for in a school

In a previous interview with Rivals, Austin Goosby discussed his game. 

“I’m an overall scorer. I can facilitate, create for other players, and I like getting my teammates involved. I’m talking more on the court, getting my teammates where they need to be, just communicating in general.”

He also knows what he wants in a future college program. 

“I’ll be looking for a school that communicates well. Someone who reaches out a lot and keeps me involved. Just a school that is like a family, where I have a relationship with, and I can trust the coaches.”

The elite wing a standout at a pair of events

According to Rivals’ Jamie Shaw, Goosby was one of the top performers at EYBL Memphis in May:

Austin Goosby (Drive Nation) brings a lot of tools to the table, with his projectable frame and intriguing length. The 6-foot-5 four-star’s best game was on Saturday when he finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds. While he finished 3-13 from three on the weekend, he showed intriguing passing chops, moving the ball around when it was in his hands. He averaged 16.3 points and 5.0 assists through the weekend.

Austin Goosby is one who consistently shows impressive flashes, both scoring and distributing the ball. He has solid size and can toggle between on or off ball roles. He also tends to drift in and out of production throughout the course of games. He has a smooth jump shot, finishing with 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in his second game today.
