NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Pickups: Forwards, December 15: JT Miller Taking a Large Bite Out of the Big Apple Lately
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Anton Lundell, C, FLA @ TB (39% rostered) - DraftKings: $4,700
Lundell has done a solid job "replacing" Aleksander Barkov as the Panthers' first line center. He notched a goal and an assist Friday and is now has nine goals, 25 points, 70 shots on net, 35 hits, 24 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 31 appearances. Lundell has a realistic shot at 20-goals and 50-points for the first time in his career, depending on what the Panthers do at the trade deadline.
J.T. Miller, C/RW, NYR vs. ANA (91% rostered) - DraftKings: $5,800
Miller's first full season back in New York has been a bit rougher than expected. He struggled for good portions of the early part of the season but is finding his way lately. Miller notched a pair of goals, including the overtime winner Saturday, and is now up to eight points in his last nine contests. The hot streak is bolstering Miller's chances to be named to Team USA which is being coached by the Rangers' head man, Mike Sullivan.
Adrian Kempe, RW, LA @ DAL (98% rostered) - DraftKings: $6,400
Another game, another goal for Kempe, or at least it just seems that way. Kempe has four goals and as many assists his last eight games, upping his season marks to 11 tallies and 17 helpers in 31 contests. Kempe has 139 goals the past four seasons. He does not appear to be swayed by the eight-year, $85 million contract extension he signed with the Kings in November..
