Samsung now has a working One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S10 FE tablets. Over the past few days, the company has uploaded internal test builds on its software servers for the two tablet lineups.

Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S10 FE lineups will receive the One UI 8.5 update next year. To ensure a seamless deployment, Samsung has started internal testing of the software, which has reached a key stability milestone.

The first builds end with AYL6 andΒ BYL3 for the Tab S11 and Tab S10 FE, respectively. While a Beta Program is unlikely, users can expect a Stable update in the second quarter of the next year, as the first quarter is reserved.

Samsung will hold an Unpacked event in February 2026. At the event, the company will unveil the Galaxy S26 series with official One UI 8.5. The first sale and software release are slated for the first or second week of March.

The twist

Samsung usually bumps the One UI version in the software build. If your device is at β€œB,” it will be replaced by β€œC” when the update installs. Meanwhile, Galaxy tablet models stick to the same alphabet as One UI 8.0.

One UI 8.5 is based on One UI 8.0, with both built on Android 16. Samsung may have been simplifying its build versions, starting with tablets. However, the change hasn’t applied to firmware built for phones and foldables.

This change doesn’t affect the software advancements in any way. Samsung will bring user interface tweaks, dynamic experience with vibrant colors, redesigned apps with extended screen view, and plenty of new useful features.
