Samsung has just expanded the March 2026 update to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Fold 4, Flip 5, and Flip 4 foldable phones. The rollout comes as part of the company’s continuous efforts to safeguard user data and privacy.

While all eyes are on the One UI 8.5 release, Samsung is more widely rolling out its March 2026 security update, with the latest wave covering the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Fold 4, Galaxy Flip 5, and Galaxy Flip 4 foldables.

Users of the Z5 series can identify the update through the PDA build version ending with FZC1, while the Z4 series users can identify it via IZC1. The last three characters are the same, while the fourth last differ due to major releases.

Earlier, Samsung retired the Galaxy S21 series from the monthly category. Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 might be the next to lose priority support. If you are a Fold 4 or Flip 4 owner, there’s no need to worry for at least a year.

Samsung is conducting One UI 8.5 Beta Program with Galaxy users. At the same time, optimization of Android 17 is also underway inside the labs. There’s no official update regarding the rollout timeline of the One UI 8.5 update.

Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 5 are eligible for One UI 8.5 update. It will bring a redesigned user interface with elegant colors and blur. You can also look forward to enhanced multitasking features with the release.

The rollout is currently limited to South Korea. Global users should expect the availability by next week. You can also check for updates manually, through Settings > Software update > Download and install.
