Galaxy S26 Ultra getting 24MP camera improvement in more regions

5 May 2026 at 12:29

Samsung has finally expanded the second April 2026 update to the Galaxy S26 series, which brings 24MP camera improvement for the Ultra model.

A couple of days ago, Samsung started the rollout of the second April firmware in South Korea. It followed the release in the US, but the Korean build included fixes for the close-up camera problems tied to 24MP mode.

Now, users of Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra are getting a camera improvement that refines the 24MP mode experience. It’s coming as part of another incremental update carrying the April patch, despite releasing in May 2026.

Users reported camera behaviour problems while capturing 24MP shots. The processed image was getting cropped from one side. The preview was optimal, but the bug in processing caused the final image to be broken.

Samsung faced countless reports in its community and online forums. One UI staff acted swiftly and prepared the fix on an immediate note. Now, the rollout is expanding to more regions, with European users getting it today, via TarunVats.

Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus are also receiving the 2nd April update, but the 24MP camera is limited to the Ultra version. Still, the firmware is expected to improve the overall camera experience on the latest Samsung flagship phones.

The firmware AZDE is available across European countries, with a Global expansion likely soon. To get the latest update, head over to the system Settings, followed by Software update page and hit Download and install.

Samsung phones getting April 2026 Google Play system update

5 May 2026 at 08:04

Samsung phones have started receiving the April 2026 Google Play system update. The sequential rollout began for a wide range of Galaxy devices, including phones, foldable models, and tablets.

The latest Google Play system update, hitting Samsung phones install the April 2026 version (via Kailash). This release elevates the core Android experience, thanks to its broad range of content and enhancements.

Here’s what actually matters in April’s Google Play system updates if you’re using a Samsung phone:

Google is quietly laying the groundwork for smoother sign-ins and device setup. Transferring your data from an old phone should feel quicker and less clunky now, especially when moving accounts and settings.

The Play Store is seeing some practical improvements. You’ll now spot clearer content ratings with an additional view, which makes it easier to judge apps before installing. There’s also a new badge for apps optimized for large screens.

Subscriptions are more transparent, too, since you can now see the plans inside app reviews. Some app install prompts will no longer throw you into the Play Store unexpectedly, which should make the experience feel less disruptive.

On the Wallet side, there are a few subtle but useful tweaks. There’s a redesigned interface focused on quicker access and better discovery, along with more control over how your passes interact with other Google services like Autofill.

Location accuracy has been improved, which should benefit everything from Maps to weather apps. Security and privacy updates are, as usual, baked in. WebView and Play services updates bring ongoing fixes and protections.

Lastly, there are a bunch of under-the-hood improvements. Device connectivity, system performance, and stability have all been tuned across phones, wearables, TVs, and even cars.

Overall, this isn’t a headline-grabbing update, but it’s a meaningful one.

New Google Play system update rolling out to Samsung phones on One UI 8.5

29 April 2026 at 22:30

Samsung Galaxy phones running One UI 8.5 Beta are starting to receive a new Google Play system update. It comes right before the arrival of the Stable update, which is expected to start rolling out tomorrow in South Korea.

March 2026 Google Play system update has arrived (via Kailash) for the Galaxy S25 series. It would expand to more models as the stability of the firmware improves.

Google’s March Play system update rolls out a blend of visible tweaks and system-level refinements, with a clear push toward smoother cross-device usage and overall reliability across Android phones, PCs, wearables, and Android Auto.

Fast Pair is no longer limited to phones and tablets, as it now works with larger screens, making accessory pairing on desktops much simpler. There’s also a new Wi-Fi Sync feature that lets your saved networks carry across devices.

On the safety side, Wireless Emergency Alerts are getting more useful. Alerts can now include a map, giving you a clearer sense of where the situation is unfolding and how close you are to it.

Google is tightening things up with improvements focused on system stability and storage handling. The Play Store is also seeing some upgrades, including more precise review searches, better discovery, and expanded support for games.

For developers, this update opens up new tools tied to areas like connectivity, mapping, utilities, and payments. It should make it easier to build apps that interact more smoothly with system features such as Autofill and the Credential Manager.

Galaxy S26 apparently getting camera fixes with second April update

29 April 2026 at 10:46

Samsung doesn’t roll out two software updates in one month quite often. Meanwhile, April 2026 is marking a rare month for Galaxy S26 series, in which the company is releasing the second update, following the initial drop at the beginning.

Earlier this month, Galaxy S26 series received the April security patches. The firmware was then expanded to more countries, including the US. Beyond that, Verizon pushed the second OTA in the same month recently.

At first, I assumed the second April update would remain limited to Verizon-branded Galaxy phones in the US. Meanwhile, Samsung has started rolling out Galaxy S26 lineup’s second April update in more regions.

Camera fixes included?

Samsung has acknowledged plenty of Galaxy S26 Ultra camera issues. One of the biggest problems is linked to the close-up shots on the S26 Ultra. Moderators have been promising a fix in the next update, “releasing in the future.”

It seems Samsung is finally bringing fixes to the Galaxy S26’s camera problems. Since the update is rolling out in South Korea, users can evaluate the camera performance.

Samsung was under pressure over continuous camera reports. The team was swiftly working on the firmware to address the glitches. There’s a high possibility that this rare April release is aimed at refining the camera experience.

It’s worth noting that Galaxy S25 series has also received the second April update in the US.

How to update?

To update your Samsung phone’s software, open Settings and then Software update. From here, tap Download and install and finish the process by hitting Install/Restart now.

Samsung pushing second April 2026 update to Galaxy S26 and S25

28 April 2026 at 14:26

Samsung silently released the second April 2026 update for the Galaxy S26 and S25 phones in the US. Verizon has updated its software page, listing fresh new builds for the devices.

Users of the Galaxy S26 and S25 series have already received one update in April 2026 but Samsung has one more to offer.

Samsung is shipping the AZDG update to the Galaxy S26 series, whereas Galaxy S25 (including S25 Edge) users are getting the BZCL update.

Galaxy S26 users are awaiting fixes for camera problems, while Samsung is gearing up to kick off the stable One UI 8.5 rollout to the Galaxy S25 series.

If you are in the US, check if your Galaxy phone may have a new software update pending for installation. If it isn’t, waiting is the only thing left for now.

April 2026 SMR brings 47 fixes to Android and One UI as CVE and SVE items. Meanwhile, US users get four fewer patches, which are exclusive to the Exynos chipset.

Check for updates through Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Galaxy S25 users may begin receiving the stable One UI 8.5 update starting May 4 in the Global market, following the initial drop in South Korea on April 30.

Galaxy Tab S11’s One UI 8.5 Beta 3 adds new AI features and DeX tools

28 April 2026 at 13:37

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra tablets have started to receive the One UI 8.5 Beta 3 update. The fresh build introduces new AI features and DeX improvements.

One UI 8.5 Beta 3 for the Galaxy Tab S11 series can be identified via PDA build version ending with ZZD7. The release also brings April 2026 security patches.

The highlight is the continued push of AI features borrowed from the Galaxy S26 lineup.

Call Screening gets further improvements, making it more reliable in filtering unknown calls and handling them smoothly in the background.

Creative Studio, another AI-powered tool, sees several fixes. Issues like overlapping elements, incorrect sizing while creating stickers, and glitches when working on invitations or sketches have been cleaned up.

Samsung DeX also gets attention in this beta. A bug affecting the Cmd + F shortcut in Guest mode has been fixed, and settings like font size and screen zoom now save properly in DeX Guest mode.

There are also stability improvements when switching between standalone DeX and Second Screen mode, which should make multitasking more consistent.

Lastly, there’s a minor but useful fix for the Weather app, resolving an issue that prevented users from modifying notification settings.

22 April 2026 at 10:29

You may not have minded that your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds haven’t received a new firmware update lately. Well, Samsung hasn’t forgotten, bringing a new update with stability and reliability improvements.

Galaxy Buds Able are in development with an open-clip design. Samsung has Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro as the latest hearable offering. Meanwhile, the company is also making sure older products function pretty well.

Earlier, Samsung rolled out new firmware to the Buds 3, Buds 3 FE, and Buds 3 Pro. Now, the company is rolling out (via TarunVats) the April 2026 update to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (and probably for the Buds 2 as well) in India.

The update carries PDA build version ending with AZD1. Samsung keeps security patches limited to mobile devices; that said, the earbuds are getting “stability and reliability” improvements.

Samsung’s update changelog says these OS-level tweaks improve the device behaviour. Expect an even more fluid experience while accessing your Buds 2 Pro settings through Galaxy Wearable, along with better listening.

The update weighs nearly 6 megabytes, and you can get it through the Galaxy Wearable app. Open the application to access connected Samsung wearables. Here, you need to access Buds settings, followed by Buds software update.
