Samsung Galaxy S24 FE moves to One UI 8.5 testing stage

12 December 2025 at 01:08

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE smartphone has now joined the One UI 8.5 internal testing devices group. Along with the One UI 8.5 Beta Program, Samsung is also working to make this major update ready for other Galaxy devices.

A new One UI 8.5 testing firmware version for the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, spotted by Tarun Vats, is S721BXXU8DYLB. This is not a beta version, but a stable build, which means it’s the final version of the update that Samsung is testing before it’s made available to everyone.

One UI 8.5 Beta update is currently available for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, but in limited countries. This update lets users try out a new feature ahead of the official release. A new testing build shows that Samsung Galaxy S24 FE users will directly get this major update once the stable version is available and skip the beta phase.

Notably, Samsung confirmed to launch the Galaxy S26 series with a stable One UI 8.5 update next year. However, the exact date is not officially announced yet, but the series is expected to launch in February 2026. It means that after that, Galaxy S24 FE users will get this major update.

Until then, user of the Galaxy S24 FE can make their devices ready for this major update by keeping their software up to date. Stay tuned.
