Samsung NavStar gets custom icon borders, privacy improvements
We are in December 2025, and Samsung has pushed a new update for the NavStar Good Lock module on Galaxy smartphones. This app allows users to customize the navigation bar and gesture mode. The new update makes the NavStar more useful and comes with version 8.0.00.69.
The update comes with changes to the option to add custom borders to navigation bar icons. This means users can now make their navigation icons stand out more by adding borders around them. It helps improve the look of the navigation bar and gives users more control over how their phone looks.
Moreover, the update also enhances privacy to protect your personal data. NavStar no longer asks for photo and video permissions. Since the app does not need access to your media files to work properly, removing these permissions makes the app safer to use.

The update also fixes FC issues and other bugs that some users may have experienced before. These fixes help the app run more smoothly and reduce crashes. After updating, NavStar will become more stable and reliable during daily use.
To download the new update, users can open the Galaxy Store, tap on the Menu option, and then go to Updates to install the latest version. Also, they can download the update directly through the Good Lock app, where NavStar is listed as one of the available modules. So, download the app now and enjoy enhanced features.
