Galaxy S26 Ultra gets Virtual Reflector and Ocean Mode with Expert RAW
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra users are receiving Expert RAW 5.0.09.0 version, which adds Virtual Reflector and Ocean Mode camera features.
Earlier, Samsung offered Ocean Mode and Virtual Reflector features to the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 7. The medium for those devices was the same: Expert RAW update, but only One UI 8.5 Beta participants were eligible.
X userΒ Kailash surfaced Expert RAW 5.0.09.0 for Galaxy S26 Ultra, with the changelog confirming the addition of Virtual Reflector and Ocean Model camera features.
We are familiar with the Ocean Mode camera feature. After being limited to professional ocean photographers, the software perk is now available to general users. Samsung, meanwhile, recommends the use of specific cases.
Now comes the Virtual Reflector, which is a big deal.
Virtual Reflector allows you to apply studio-style light to your photos. It also supports the filling of shadows and the enhancement of the light. These tools combined offer outputs that are natural, balanced and professional.
Whatβs new
- Virtual Reflector:
- Simulate studio-style reflectors to fill shadows and shape light for naturally balanced, professional-looking photos.
- Ocean Mode:
- Optimized for water and underwater scenes, enhancing color, clarity, and detail by compensating for light loss and distortion.
Expert RAW is becoming a must-have application on Galaxy flagships. Samsung has already elevated the importance of Camera Assistant. Some basic features now require manual activation through Camera Assistant of Good Lock.
If you own a Galaxy S26 Ultra, head toward the Galaxy Store > Updates. Check if a newer Expert RAW version is available for download. If you never installed it, give it a try as it worth your attention for epic photography.
