GameMT has officially teased its new budget gaming handheld, the EX5. The device features a 5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display and runs on MediaTekβs Helio G81 chipset. The company revealed the EX5 through a teaser video on the Roybeila YouTube channel, showing off a design that resembles Sonyβs PlayStation Vita but introduces some unconventional elements.

The EX5 is powered by a 12nm Helio G81 processor, which includes two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, along with a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. GameMT pairs this chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It also comes with a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
The EX5 handles connectivity through dual-band Wi-Fi 5, supporting both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Its 5-inch display has a 1920Γ1080 resolution, which is relatively high for a device in this price segment. The handheld runs Android and supports a variety of gaming platforms. According to the teaser, the handheld supports cloud gaming, native Android titles, and popular emulation frontends like ES-DE and Pegasus.

In terms of design, the EX5 includes a D-pad, face buttons, shoulder triggers, and a single thumbstick on the left. Instead of placing a second thumbstick on the right, GameMT has added a physical switch that allows users to toggle between three performance profiles: Performance, Balanced, and βPwrsave-Auto.β This switch resembles a mechanical dial, which adds a unique touch to the otherwise familiar layout.

The EX5 will be available in three color options: white, black, and dark blue. GameMT has not yet announced a specific release date or price, but the teaser confirms that the device is βcoming soon.β
In related news, Ayaneo has recently introduced the Pocket DMG Silver Limited Edition powered by the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2, and also unveiled the Pocket Vert featuring a 3.5-inch LTPS LCD, a dual-mode hidden touchpad, and a 6000mAh battery.

Qwacks, a Saudi gaming technology startup building next-generation tools for game developers, has raised SAR 1.8 million in pre-seed funding from Merak Capital, a Saudi-based investment firm licensed by the Capital Market Authority. The investment marks a significant milestone for one of the earliest companies in Saudi Arabia focused on developing core technology for game creation and live operations.
As the Kingdomβs game development ecosystem expands, demand for advanced infrastructure and developer-focused tooling is emerging rapidly. Local studios are seeking platforms that help them build, test, and scale their projects more efficiently, creating a growing need for homegrown technology that supports this shift from consumer participation toward production and creation.
Founded in 2024, Qwacks is developing a unified technology layer designed to streamline the entire lifecycle of game development. The platform includes three complementary products: Flock, a scalable Backend-as-a-Service for online and multiplayer games; Protokite, an AI-enhanced playtesting system that connects developers with real players; and DataDuck, a market intelligence engine that aggregates data from platforms to help studios validate ideas and identify market opportunities.
The new funding will accelerate the expansion of Qwacksβ technology stack, enabling the company to enhance its platform, deepen product integrations, and serve a wider network of studios across Saudi Arabia and the broader region. It will also support the companyβs efforts to strengthen operational capabilities as demand for locally built gaming technology continues to rise.
Abdulelah Alsharif, Vice President at Merak Capital, added: βAt Merak, we continue to invest in the people and platforms shaping the future of Saudi Arabiaβs gaming sector. Qwacks is addressing a clear gap in the ecosystem and doing so with a vision that aligns with the Kingdomβs broader ambitions. We see their work as a meaningful step toward building the technical foundations that will enable local studios to thrive.β
Anas Alsahli, CEO and Co-founder at Qwacks, commented: βMerakβs investment marks a major milestone for Qwacks. It allows us to accelerate the development of our unified platform and bring advanced backend, playtesting, and market intelligence tools to more studios across the region. Our mission is to give developers technology that removes friction, shortens production cycles, and helps them build better games, and this partnership moves us significantly closer to that goal.β

Powered by NVIDIA technology, Nintendo Switch 2 games can leverage RTX tech like NVIDIA DLSS and ray tracing to deliver better visuals and enhanced image quality at solid performance. Since launch, Nintendo's own titles had yet to take advantage of either, but it seems like the ray tracing floodgates have been opened by the publisher's latest first-party title, Kirby Air Riders. As confirmed by a screenshot of the game's license readme found in the Nintendo Switch 2's menu shared on ResetERA, Kirby Air Riders reportedly uses the RTXGI SDK, meaning that the racing game uses ray-traced global illumination in some [β¦]

NVIDIA has released a new GeForce Hotfix display driver, version 581.94. This is based on the latest GeForce Game Ready driver, version 581.80, which launched around two weeks ago with day-one optimizations for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Europa Universalis V, and Anno 117: Pax Romana. Following that Game Ready driver, users reported lower performance in some PC games after updating to Windows 11 October 2025 KB5066835 [5561605]. This GeForce hotfix driver resolves the issue, so if you've experienced that, you should download it right away. Otherwise, the fix will be rolled into the next Game Ready driver, anyway.

The fight between Krafton, the Korean company behind games like TERA, PUBG, and inZOI, and the founders of Unknown Worlds Entertainment (developers of Subnautica) continues even outside of court. Cleveland himself submitted the document into evidence, and now Krafton has underlined that several of his comments demonstrated racist views toward Korea and its people, as [β¦]
