Galaxy S26 Leak Shows How Big (and Small) Samsung’s Next Flagships Really Are

A new Samsung Galaxy S26 series leak has just surfaced, indicating the size difference between the three phones. Tempered glass screen protectors have surfaced online, as they were shared by a well-known source.

New Galaxy S26 leaks highlights the size difference between phones

This image, showing all three screen protectors, comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster. If you check out the image below, you’ll see them yourself, and you can clearly see the size differences.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series tempered glass screen protectors

The Galaxy S26 will be the smallest, followed by the Galaxy S26+, and then the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which will be the largest smartphone in the series. It seems like Samsung really did ditch the Galaxy S26 Pro name and will go with the Galaxy S26. The same goes for the Galaxy S26 Edge, as the Galaxy S26+ will launch instead.

In any case, this image also reveals that all three phones will have flat displays and rounded corners. They will also have a centered display camera hole at the top of their displays, which is not indicated here, of course.

These screen protectors also show how thin the bezels will be

These screen protectors also indicate that the bezels around the displays will be quite thin on all three devices. In fact, they indicate that the phones will have bezels that are of the same thickness.

All three of these smartphones were first expected to arrive in early January, but that won’t be happening, it seems. Samsung allegedly decided to postone their launch. There could be several reasons why, but last-minute changes and the Exynos 2600 chip yield could have something to do with it.

The three devices are not expected to arrive in late February. February 25 is the date, if the latest report is to be believed. The devices will allegedly launch in San Francisco, in the US. That’s where the global launch will take place. Samsung still didn’t confirm anything, of course, it’s still too early.

Samsung is returning Unpacked to San Francisco for one reason

Samsung is preparing for the next Unpacked event, and it’s reportedly returning to San Francisco for one reason: to promote its AI growth story in the city, where this tech is storming.

According to a recent report, the Galaxy S26 series will launch in late February at the Unpacked Event, which is shifting from San Jose, which previously hosted the Galaxy S24 and S25 series in 2024 and 2025, respectively.

An official suggests that Samsung is returning the Unpacked event to San Francisco for the first time in three years, which is assumed as a perfect place to showcase new technologies in the era of AI smartphones.

San Francisco houses the world’s largest AI companies, including the ChatGPT maker OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, xAI, and more. In contrast, SF hosts more than 100 AI startups overall. Since implementing Galaxy AI on a wider scale in 2024, Samsung has continuously focused on improving on-device AI processing to improve such features.

Moving from initial generative AI goals, Samsung is now focusing on multimodal AI to get fluent in text interpretation, speech, images, and videos for interactions. This upgrade is largely based on new chipsets with upgraded NPUs for maximum on-device computing, while providing low-latency for server-side AI such as Gemini Live and Circle to Search.

The improved power efficiency is also playing a major role in ensuring the limited battery consumption while offering these AI capabilities.

The Multimoal AI also simplifies the natural language understanding, making the everyday device interactions simpler than before. For example, Gallery search, in the recent versions of One UI, you can search for a photograph based on a description, and the app will fetch all of the related images.

The Galaxy AI currently has more than a dozen features, including writing assist, live translation, voice transcription, browsing assistance, AI photo editing, object removal, text-to-image generation, AI audio eraser, AI briefing, AI personalized health insights, and more.

This list of features will advance once again with the Galaxy S26 series, and Samsung will unveil its AI surprises at the next Unpacked event as it returns to San Francisco.

Who is to blame for Galaxy S26 series launch delay?

Samsung has decided on the Galaxy S26 series launch delay, and it may be the phone maker’s own fault, except for any external reason.

According to the Korean media, the company will host next year’s first Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, USA, on February 25th. For the past few years, Samsung has been unveiling the S-series in late January or early February.

While the source remained unverified, this appears to be the most reasonable launch date on the face of Samsung’s current decision-making crisis. A Korean analyst believes that the last-minute plan change related to the upcoming devices has caused this stretch.

Previous information suggests that Samsung will revamp the S-series lineup in 2026. It is rumored to remove the standard and Plus variants, replacing these two with a Pro and the Edge models.

Earlier this year, the Korean phone maker unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, a slim device with trimmed specs. The tech community and reviewers are divided on this phone. Some praised its lightweight and slim design, while others criticized its stripped camera count and small battery life.

These opinions have been echoed and amplified through social media. As a result, the phone has made decent sales in the home ground, but there’s not much enthusiasm among the global consumers.

Since the S25 Edge, rumors also indicated that the Galaxy S26 Plus won’t launch. So, its place will now be booked for the S26 Edge. Just recently, another Korean media reported that the Galaxy S26 Plus project is revived and the S26 Edge is getting canceled due to poor sales performance of its predecessor.

Samsung’s Fault

Most of the people on the internet couldn’t make up their mind about the S25 Edge due to toned-down specifications and a flagship-level price. Instead, the majority of consumers would go for an Ultra compared to opting for aesthetics.

On the opposite side, Samsung had accurate sales data for the S25 Edge, and the decision to readjust the S26 series lineup could have been made much earlier. Eventually, it may have saved this upcoming Galaxy flagship from this delay.

This step shows that Samsung has waited till recently to review the S25 Edge sales performance and decided to revert to the previous device strategy. So, yeah, this Galaxy S26 series launch delay blame goes to the lazy decision-making table.

Current device roadmap

The Galaxy S26 series is likely to bring a Pro, Plus, and an Ultra model. Another major change in this flagship will be the full-fledged return of the Exynos chipset.

Processed with a 2nm technology, Exynos 2600 could play a pivotal role in the Galaxy S26 devices. However, the company will also maintain its pact with Snapdragon and vary the CPU availability based on country and region.

For now, all of this information is speculation because the outlook for the Galaxy S26 series remains foggy and doubtful than any previous S-series smartphones.

Galaxy S26 leak confirms subtle but important design changes

Important design changes of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 smartphone have been revealed in a new case leak. The company isn’t making a major tweak, but the comeback of a camera island is now almost confirmed for the lineup.

Samsung’s design changes for the Galaxy S26 series are subtle but important. The camera rings will be placed inside a dedicated bump. The placement of the three camera sensors remains the same as previous models, vertical.

The camera island has been raised to a level that exceeds the overall body thickness. Metal rings follow the sensor glass and island on top. The LED flashlight is also placed at the same location, but now renders outside the bump.

As shown in the case image, the Galaxy S26 may feature the same rounded corners as the previous model. Samsung may reduce the thickness of the bezels to elevate the screen area, probably leveraging the new solution.

Previously, Samsung was rumored to launch Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge along with the S26 Ultra. Meanwhile, recent reports suggest the company will retain base and Plus models, with plans for Pro and Edge canceled.

That said, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus may share the same design language. The Ultra model will also feature a thick camera bump. However, there would be two more camera rings outside the island, as well as an LED flash.

A recent industry report claimed the Galaxy S26 series could be launched on February 25. The Unpacked event is said to be held in San Francisco and is highly likely to be centered at Galaxy AI advancements.

Here’s when you could buy the Galaxy S26 series

Samsung is reportedly delaying the Galaxy S26 series launch by four weeks, and it will disappoint those looking to buy one of the upcoming flagships. A 4-week delay in unveiling could result in an even later release of the new devices.

Galaxy S26 series launch date

Samsung is expected to hold an Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco. At this Galaxy AI-focussed event, the company will launch the Galaxy S26 series, with models including the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.

This year, the Korean tech giant held its Unpacked event on January 22. The first sale of the Galaxy S25 series started on February 7. It followed a two-week-long preorder period, while the launch followed a reservation campaign.

Galaxy S26 series launch date

The leaked launch date of the Galaxy S26 series is February 25, 2026. If Samsung goes ahead with the same date, it’s a 4-week delay compared to this year. That said, the first sale of the Galaxy S26 series would also face a delay.

If you’re considering to buy the Galaxy S26 series in 2026, you may need to wait till the second week of March. Samsung would begin accepting orders on the launch day itself, but availability is expected in the corresponding month.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra One UI 8.5

A delayed debut and release will also affect the new software update. One UI 8.5 Beta is rumored to start later this month, but as things go differently, the supposed Beta Program launch may also be postponed accordingly.

Built on Android 16, One UI 8.5 will bring Glass UI design to Galaxy devices. Samsung is testing the Alpha version internally, with leaks revealing brand-new aesthetics as well as plenty of new and useful features in the pipeline.

Samsung’s full Galaxy S26 trio leaks, and a clever Ultra detail grabs all the attention

Insider Phoneart (@UniverseIce) now leaks the tempered glass screen protector of the Galaxy S26 series ahead of launch. The leak reveals the entire lineup, clearing the clouds of uncertainty after a long session of reshuffling news.

Galaxy S26 series will bring a base, a Plus, and an Ultra model, leaks suggest. The tempered glass picture showcases the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra. The products seemingly belong to a third-party manufacturer based in China.

Like before, the Galaxy S26 is shown as a portable device, while the Plus features an Ultra-like screen size, but a design difference makes the Ultra stand out.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has increased the curvature of corners over the S25 Ultra. It aligns with the leaked CAD renders we’ve seen in the past. The bezels also seem thinner, but you won’t get what is shown in the picture embedded below.

Since the leaked protective glass pieces don’t belong to Samsung, the bezels can’t be considered final. You get bezels looking near what appears in the image, but there’s a lack of authenticity until the S26 series breaks cover.

The image also features a label that reads “Fingerprint unlocking HD ultra-thin,” appearantely highlights the specifications of the third-party protective glass, rather than the screen upgrade Samsung may have planned.

Unpacked 2026

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series on February 25 in San Francisco. We may see a change in dates as we approach 2026, as such things can’t be considered final.

However, the South Korean tech giant is highly anticipated to delay the unveiling of its new flagship phones by weeks to develop the S26 Plus and improve its Exynos 2600 yield.

The Galaxy S26 series might not arrive until late February

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra mockup (modified image of S25 Ultra)

The past week has been packed with Galaxy S26 leaks, but the rumor mill isn’t done yet. A new report has now hinted at when Samsung might finally unveil its next flagship lineup.

According to a Korean outlet (via @Jukan on X), Samsung is reportedly planning to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event for the S26 series on February 25, about a month later than its usual schedule.

The event is said to be an “AI-focused” showcase taking place in San Francisco. A source familiar with Samsung’s plans told the outlet, “Samsung is preparing its first San Francisco Unpacked in three years, since the S23 launch in 2023,” adding, “As San Francisco has emerged as the hub of AI technology, it’s the perfect location for Samsung—the pioneer of the AI smartphone era—to hold its event.”

Samsung is to blame for itself

The delay could be tied to recent adjustments in Samsung’s lineup strategy. Earlier reports suggested that the Galaxy S25 Edge would replace the S26 Plus, but with the Edge’s lackluster sales, Samsung has apparently decided to bring the Plus model back in the league.

That means we’re once again looking at a familiar three-model setup: the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.

Interestingly, the report also claims that the Galaxy S26 series will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chip—including the Ultra model—for the first time since the Galaxy S22 series. However, it will remain a dual-chip strategy, with some markets getting Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 instead.

As usual, Samsung is expected to split regions based on chipset availability, following the same pattern it has used in previous generations.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Unpacked Launch Event Date Leaked

Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro AH exclusive CAD (1)

It looks like the guessing game is over. Samsung has reportedly locked in the date and location for its next big flagship reveal. The highly anticipated Unpacked launch event date for the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is scheduled for February 25 next year, right in the heart of AI tech—San Francisco, USA.

This isn’t just another date on the calendar. The launch window itself is a bit later than the late January or early February reveals we’ve seen recently. Insiders suggest this minor shift gives the company enough time to finalize some strategic decisions, particularly around which models will actually launch.

Samsung tipped to launch the Galaxy S26 series on February 25

Samsung will continue to bet heavily on AI as a key selling point in its mobile flagships. Returning to San Francisco, the established global hub for artificial intelligence, is a deliberate move in this direction. The company plans to use the stage to firmly establish the Galaxy S26 as the definitive “AI phone.” They will also outline their future AI strategy for the tech world to see.

Regarding the S26 lineup, earlier buzz suggested Samsung might get “Pro” or “Edge” models. These models would have replaced the standard/base and Plus models. However, recent reports point to the company sticking to the familiar, reliable structure: Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This course correction reportedly comes after the predecessor S25 Edge didn’t meet sales targets.

It all comes down to power, and the S26’s AI push requires serious silicon. Leaks suggest Samsung will deploy a dual-chip strategy. Many models will feature the new Exynos 2600 processor. This will mark the return of a custom Exynos chip to the high-end Ultra model in some regions. Other major markets, like the US and Canada, will get the expected Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.

With the event locked for February 25, the stage is now set for Samsung to show the world its answer to the “AI smartphone era.” Recent leaks suggest that the Galaxy S26 device could feature highly improved 3x telephoto camera sensors. This could be a decisive upgrade for Galaxy S fans who are still hesitant to make the switch.

Samsung Galaxy S26 launch date revealed with major delay: Unpacked 2026

Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 series at Unpacked 2026, and the launch date is reportedly revealed. The company is in the final phase of finalizing the venue, which is almost confirmed to be San Francisco.

According to the info (via Jukan), Samsung will hold the Unpacked 2026 on February 25 to launch the Galaxy S26 series. It’s a four-week delay that is caused by the late joining of the Galaxy S26 Plus to the development.

The Galaxy S25 series was unveiled on January 22, and the phones went on the first time on February 7, 2025. That said, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to be available for purchase in the second week of March 2026.

San Francisco is the first choice for the launch venue as the location emerged as a central hub for artificial intelligence. It suggests that the Galaxy AI will take center stage at the Samsung Unpacked 2026 as well.

Why the delay?

A delayed Unpacked is caused by two main reasons: Galaxy S26 Plus and Exynos 2600. By pushing the launch event by four weeks, Samsung has targeted two aims together.

Galaxy S26 Plus development will be continued with the additional time. It was not expected to be included in the lineup next year. However, Samsung has canceled the Galaxy S26 Edge and is bringing back the Plus model.

Exynos 2600 is being tested, and Samsung Foundry’s 2nm yield is around 35 percent. A 1-month delay in commercialization brings the process node another push to improve the performance and yield for the new flagships.

Galaxy S26 series leak points to larger sensors across the board, bigger batteries, and upgraded displays

Galaxy-S26-Ultra

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series has been surrounded by mixed signals for months, but a new set of leaked specs paints a much more encouraging picture. Instead of minor tweaks, the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra may finally bring the camera upgrades fans have been asking for.

One of the biggest rumored changes is to the 3x telephoto camera. Samsung has relied on a 10MP 1/3.52-inch sensor in Ultra models and an even smaller 1/3.94-inch sensor in non-Ultra models for years — a clear disadvantage compared to rivals like the Vivo X300 Pro. The latest leak claims all three S26 models will move to a much larger 12MP 1/2.55-inch sensor for the 3x telephoto, which should improve light capture and overall zoom clarity. The Ultra may even step up to a 50MP 3x sensor, though that part isn’t “confirmed” yet.

The Ultra might also gain a larger 5,400mAh battery, up from 5,000mAh, assuming Samsung can keep thickness in check. All three phones are said to adopt Samsung’s newer M14 OLED panels with QHD resolution: 6.3 inches for the S26, 6.7 inches for the S26+, and 6.9 inches for the Ultra. For comparison, the current S25 uses a 6.2-inch 1080p panel.

The S26 and S26+ are reportedly in for meaningful camera upgrades too. Both may finally get a 50MP ultrawide (up from 12MP), and the 50MP main camera could use a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor — the same size as the S25 Ultra’s 200MP sensor.

Performance will vary by region, with either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powering the lineup. Even the Ultra may ship with Exynos in some markets this year.

One wild card remains: a slim “S26 More Slim” model with a 6.6-inch QHD display, dual 50MP cameras, paired with an unspecified telephoto, and a ~4,300mAh battery. Its status is unclear, but unlike the canceled S26 Edge, it reportedly avoids major compromises.

If accurate, these changes suggest the S26 series could be a far more cohesive — and far more improved — lineup than early leaks indicated.

Samsung Galaxy S26 and Plus to feature Ultra-grade OLED screen

Samsung Galaxy S26 series may get a universal upgrade in the screen segment. It’s being rumored that the company may not keep its most advanced OLED technology limited to the high-end model, i.e., the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

According to a new rumor, Samsung would bring its M14 OLED screen across the Galaxy S26 models with QHD resolution. The base model is the luckiest here, which is getting the advanced and higher resolution panel.

The base Galaxy S25 brings an FHD+ resolution display, while the S25 Plus and Ultra feature QHD+. Plus models’ display matched Ultra last year only, as previous Plus models also used FHD+ panels like the base version.

2026 could mark a major shift in specs of the Galaxy S smartphones. Samsung is expected to use its most advanced OLED technology with the M14 material set. It will bring massive improvements in quality and power efficiency.

The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus could come with 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch OLED screens. The Galaxy S26 Ultra could sport a 6.9-inch display. While Plus’ screen size remains unchanged, the base and Ultra are getting a little larger OLEDs.

Recently, it was reported that the Galaxy S26 series might upgrade its telephoto sensor. Samsung might use a new 12-megapixel camera with a larger size. It will improve light adoption and offer clearer shots of distant objects.

The information is based on recent leaks and rumors. Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed these specs for the Galaxy S26 series. Meanwhile, the company hinted at new cameras, Exynos 2600, and advanced Galaxy AI.

Galaxy S26 May Bring the Telephoto Camera Upgrade You've Been Waiting for Years

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra vs Galaxy S26 Ultra corners AH exclusive 1

The annual competition for the smartphone crown often boils down to subtle refinements in display and processing power. However, the latest leaked specs for the Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup suggest significant upgrades in a key area: photography. Apparently, Samsung will finally implement better and larger sensors for the Galaxy S26 series’ 3x zoom telephoto camera.

Camera-wise, one of the areas that has evolved the most in recent years is optical zoom. Several Android brands—especially Chinese ones—are implementing powerful lenses. However, Samsung has maintained a much more conservative approach. The company has focused primarily on software and processing improvements. But what happens when the hardware is so old that it simply can’t offer notable quality improvements?

Samsung may bring bigger 3x telephoto camera sensor to the Galaxy S26

This has been happening with the Galaxy S models of recent years. For reference, the latest Galaxy S25 Ultra uses the same 10MP 3x optical zoom lens as the older Galaxy S22 Ultra. We’re talking about a pretty small sensor for 2025 premium flagship standards (1/3.52-inch size). However, it looks like that’s finally about to change.

According to Alchemist Leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will receive a big 3x zoom telephoto camera upgrade. The change would be present in all models, from the base variant to the Ultra model. More specifically, the devices would boast a new, larger 12MP sensor with a 1/2.55-inch size. The leak mentions that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could have an even bigger telephoto camera. However, they note that the latter is not confirmed yet.

If true, this change could be the most important camera update in the entire series. After all, a larger physical sensor dramatically increases light capture, leading to cleaner details, less noise, and superior results when you use that common 3x zoom function.

Other camera improvements

Continuing with the camera upgrades, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have an upgraded 200MP main sensor. The 50MP ultra-wide lens will also receive improvements, although no further specific details are available. The 50MP 5x zoom telephoto lens may be the same as the current Galaxy S25 Ultra.

On the other hand, the upgraded 50MP ultra-wide sensor would also be coming to the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus. This would represent a big improvement compared to the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus’ 12MP lenses.

Potentially bigger battery for the Ultra model

Beyond the optical improvements, the S26 Ultra is chasing endurance. Leaks mention the possibility of a 5,400mAh battery cell. Such an increase would give the phone a nice daily battery life. However, the source mentions that this may be subject to change. This is because it’s a “last-minute change,” so Samsung must conduct tests to confirm the feasibility of its implementation.

In terms of processing, every model is set to receive the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite or Exynos 2600. Lastly, the entire lineup, including the S26+ and the standard S26, will also benefit from QHD M14 AMOLED displays.

Overall, Samsung seems to have realized it was falling far behind Chinese brands in terms of camera technology. So, the company appears ready to implement some significant improvements in this area. Let’s hope the rumors are true and we see these camera updates in the Galaxy S26 series next year.
