Tottenham star Micky van de Ven says goal against Copenhagen best of his career so far
Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has claimed that his goal during the 4-0 win over Copenhagen is the best goal of his career so far, Softfootball reports.
The Dutch defender, who only at the weekend lost the ball which Joao Pedro scored from to hand Chelsea a 1-0 victory against Tottenham in the London derby was a different player against the Danish side as he helped the defense keep a clean sheet while getting among the goals with a goal of the season contender.

Speaking after the encounter in an interview shared on Tottenham’s official X handle. Van de Ven narrates the goal:
I saw the goal back in the dressing room, let me be honest. I get the ball in my own box and saw a little gap or space in front of me. And as I dribble and I was like yeah, I can get a little more. I know when I get my speed and acceleration its difficult to catch up sometimes and along the way, I said I’m through and will go all the way now and try to score, yeah, I did…. best goal of my career for sure.
Micky’s status has continued to rise at Tottenham and he was proud in past of captaining Spurs to a UEFA Champions League game against Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt where he also scored his first goal in the competition.
Brennan Johnson opened scoring for the home side in the 19th as he rounded the goalkeeper before finishing in style with a low shot. Six minutes into the second half, Kolo Muani intercepted a clearance from Copenhagen’s goalkeeper and passed to Wilson Odobert, who made no mistake with his finish in the 51st minute.
In the 64th minute came the moment of absolute magic from Micky van de Ven as he took the ball from the edge of his box, beat three players in midfield and pushed into the final third with great pace, leaving defenders behind like it was a Sunday league for amateur footballers and struck home a powerful shot with his left foot.
