Amorim Warns Bruno Fernandes About Reduced Playing Time Next Season

Ruben Amorim has hinted that captain Bruno Fernandes may no longer be an automatic starter next season. Speaking ahead of the clash with Tottenham Hotspur, Amorim said Fernandes will have to get used to squad rotation as United push to compete strongly across all competitions. The coach’s remarks came after Fernandes’ standout display on his 300th United appearance, where the midfielder led the team to victory over Brighton, as reported by SoftFootball.

Amorim stressed that rotation will be necessary as United aim to manage player fitness and sustain their European campaign. He said in a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account:

Just for Bruno to put in his head, maybe next year he’s going to be in rotation in the team. In the future is something that Bruno needs to understand. If you want to win every game, with Europe, is going to have to rotate.

According to SoftFootball’s earlier coverage, the manager has been credited with improving Fernandes’ partnership with Casemiro, a key factor behind United’s recent progress.

Despite his manager’s warning, Fernandes remains vital to United’s ambitions. The midfielder scored 19 goals and provided 18 assists last season, continuing to show his importance in Amorim’s evolving 3-4-3 setup. His leadership, creativity, and ability to adapt have kept him at the heart of United’s plans. Amorim had previously dismissed speculation linking Fernandes with Real Madrid and Al-Hilal, confirming the captain’s future lies at Old Trafford.

In a recent statement shared by SoftFootball, Fernandes reiterated his loyalty to the club, saying he is focused on winning trophies with United. Amorim’s latest comments show that while Fernandes remains trusted, the manager is planning carefully for longevity and balance in his squad.

The Argentine winger has quickly earned the manager’s trust through his work ethic and tactical discipline. Speaking after Chelsea’s recent training session, Maresca said in a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account:

Maresca’s admiration has grown as Garnacho continues to adapt to the tactical demands at Stamford Bridge. The Chelsea boss confirmed that the winger is getting better and better, noting his improvement defensively and offensively. Garnacho’s impact was felt strongly in Chelsea’s 2-2 Champions League draw at Qarabag, where he scored a crucial equaliser, as reported by SoftFootball. His cameos against Brentford and Bayern Munich have also impressed the coaching staff, who believe he’s maturing into a well-rounded forward.

From Chelsea Wonderkid to Forest Star: Callum Hudson-Odoi Celebrates 25 Today

Callum Hudson-Odoi is 25 today. The Nottingham Forest winger has quietly built his way back into form and confidence after a few bumpy years. His story has been one of patience and persistence.

In matches like Forest’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United, he looked sharp and alive again, full of the spark fans once saw at Chelsea. Even when Forest lost 2-0 to Bournemouth, he was still one of the few players driving forward and trying to make things happen.

Now wearing the number 7 shirt, Callum feels like a man reborn. Under Sean Dyche’s new setup at Forest, as reported by SoftFootball, he’s turned into a more complete player with quicker decisions, smarter runs, and more confident finishing.

The 2024/25 season saw him score 5 goals and deliver 2 assists, not a bad turn for someone who once seemed lost in the shuffle at Chelsea.

Wishing you a very happy birthday, Callum! 🎉 pic.twitter.com/ePfi7KkJp3

Born in Wandsworth, London, he joined Chelsea’s academy as a kid and was marked early as a top talent. Injuries slowed him down, that Achilles tear in 2019 especially, but he didn’t fade away.

His loan move to Bayer Leverkusen gave him a reset, and his switch to Nottingham Forest in 2023 turned out to be just what he needed.

Chelsea, via their official X account, shared a post celebrating Callum Hudson-Odoi’s 25th birthday with an image of him lifting the 2021 UEFA Champions League trophy, marking his contribution to Chelsea FC’s victory over Manchester City, a match where Pep Guardiola’s tactical decision to omit key midfielders Rodri and Fernandinho surprised analysts and contributed to the 1-0 upset.

He’s played three times for England and was part of that famous U-17 World Cup-winning squad back in 2017. Now with a deal running till 2026, he’s settled, focused, and clearly loving football again.

Tuchel to Announce England Squad as Bellingham Eyes Return and Foden Awaits Fate

It’s squad announcement day for England, and anticipation is high as Thomas Tuchel prepares to reveal his final list for 2025. The England manager will confirm his selections at 10:00 AM (BST) on Friday, November 7, ahead of World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, as shared on their official X account. This will be the last call-up before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following England’s perfect qualifying campaign, as reported by SoftFootball.

Jude Bellingham is widely expected to return after missing the October squad despite being named England’s 2024/25 Player of the Year. Now fully fit with Real Madrid after shoulder surgery, he looks set to be reinstated. However, the big question surrounds Phil Foden. The Manchester City playmaker has hit top form again, scoring twice in a 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, but it remains uncertain whether Tuchel will hand him a recall.

Tuchel defended his earlier squad choices, explaining he wanted to maintain rhythm and build habits following the 5-0 victory over Serbia. With England’s place at next summer’s tournament already secured, Tuchel now turns his attention to shaping his best XI. Jack Grealish could miss out again despite decent club form, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Adam Wharton are both expected to return from injury.

England’s wealth of attacking options continues to spark selection debates, something Steven Gerrard once reflected on as both a blessing and a curse. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out who makes Tuchel’s final squad when the announcement goes live today.

Al Nassr Aim to Extend Unbeaten Run Against Neom SC in Saudi Pro League Clash

Al Nassr will travel to Tabuk to face Neom SC at the King Khalid Sports City Stadium on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The league leaders remain unbeaten in the Saudi Pro League and are determined to continue their perfect start to the season. They enter this clash on the back of a convincing 4-0 win over FC Goa in the AFC Champions League Two, showing their strength even without Cristiano Ronaldo in the squad.

Despite their recent 2-1 defeat to Al Ittihad in the King’s Cup, Jorge Jesus’ men remain focused on maintaining their dominance in domestic competition, as reported by SoftFootball.

Neom SC, on the other hand, have been one of the surprise packages of the season. The newly promoted club, managed by Christophe Galtier, sit seventh in the table with 13 points from seven matches. Their thrilling 3-2 victory over Al-Okhdood last weekend highlighted their attacking threat, with Said Benrahma netting a brace. Neom have shown strong resilience and tactical awareness, proving they can compete with the best sides in the league.

Neom SC will be without key players Marcin Bulka, Salman Al-Faraj, and Ahmed Hegazy due to injuries. Christophe Galtier will rely heavily on Alexandre Lacazette and Benrahma to lead the attack.

For Al Nassr, Jorge Jesus has few injury worries, with Saad Haqawi the only doubt due to fitness concerns. Ronaldo, João Félix, and Sadio Mané are all expected to feature as the Knights of Najd aim to stay top of the table.

Softfootball’s Prediction

Neom SC’s home form and attacking setup could make this an entertaining match, but Al Nassr’s experience and firepower should prove decisive. With Ronaldo in fine form and Jorge Jesus’ men eager to extend their lead, Softfootball predicts a 3-1 victory for Al Nassr.

Tottenham vs Man United: Spurs Seek Home Response as United Aim to Extend Unbeaten Run

After a commanding midweek victory at home, Tottenham will hope to find consistency in the Premier League when they host Manchester United, a side they have not lost to since October 2022. The atmosphere around North London has lifted after Spurs’ 4-0 demolition of Copenhagen, a game in which Micky van de Ven says his goal was the best of his career so far, as reported by SoftFootball.

That win followed a poor 1-0 home defeat to Chelsea, where Spurs managed just 0.1 xG — the lowest by any Premier League side this season. Still, Tottenham’s Europa League triumph over United in May secured Champions League football, a prize that has helped restore belief within the squad. Frank’s men are determined to translate their European rhythm into domestic consistency.

Manchester United travel to London buoyed by a four-game unbeaten run under Ruben Amorim. However, their struggles on the road remain a concern, with just one win from their last 11 domestic away fixtures. Amorim, who said his team is the better team and more confident in a post shared by the team on their official X account, has urged his players to forget the past and maintain focus despite the scrutiny surrounding his leadership.

"We are a better team and we are more confident." 👊

Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall is expected to miss out, while Mohammed Kudus could return after sitting out midweek. For United, Lisandro Martínez edges closer to fitness but is unlikely to feature, although Harry Maguire’s return offers defensive stability.

Possible Lineups

Manchester United (3-4-2-1): Lammens; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Fernandes, Casemiro, Dalot; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko.

Nigerians Blast Atalanta Coach Over Alleged Ademola Lookman Incident

Nigerian fans on social media have fiercely condemned Atalanta coach Ivan Juric following an alleged physical altercation with Ademola Lookman during a Champions League match against Marseille. The uproar comes just months after SoftFootball reported how Lookman was finding his rhythm again at Atalanta after a turbulent summer that almost saw him leave the club.

Tensions between Lookman and his manager appear to have reignited, sparking renewed discussions about the winger’s future. This incident arrives on the heels of SoftFootball’s earlier report on Inter Milan’s failed pursuit of the Nigerian star after Atalanta refused to lower their valuation.

The outrage began when Nigerian user @oku_yungx posted what he described as an open letter to the club. He condemned the coach’s alleged conduct, writing:

Mr. Coach, it has come to our attention that your recent conduct towards Ademola Lookman was both unprofessional and unacceptable… Every player deserves dignity and respect, regardless of nationality.

Media personality @PoojaMedia echoed the sentiment, insisting:

You can’t put your hands on a player. Atalanta must sack their manager. No matter what Lookman said, you don’t put your hand on a player.

The frustration was shared by @john322226, who highlighted Lookman’s stellar record, his historic Europa League final hat-trick, Player of the Season award, and CAF African Footballer of the Year triumph, demanding the respect he deserves.

Other users, like @Wizarab10 and @Buchi_Laba, called for Lookman to leave the club, labelling Juric’s behaviour irresponsible and aggressive. Meanwhile, @abazwhyllzz reminded fans of Lookman’s legacy, noting:

He single-handedly gave Atalanta their first Europa League trophy. He deserves to be treated better.

As the storm rages online, Atalanta’s silence has only intensified fan pressure, with many insisting that the club must act to protect one of their brightest stars.

Sandro Tonali Speaks on His Future at Newcastle United

After Newcastle United’s 2-0 Champions League victory over Athletic Club, midfielder Sandro Tonali opened up about his long-term future with the club. The Italian admitted that football’s unpredictable nature makes it difficult to make promises about staying for many years. His comments came after Newcastle’s inconsistent domestic run, which included a 3-1 defeat to West Ham and a late-heartbreak 2-1 defeat against Arsenal, as reported by SoftFootball.

Tonali, 25, said he prefers a year-by-year approach to his career rather than giving long-term assurances. He explained that football can change quickly and referenced the departure of his former teammate Alexander Isak to Liverpool as a reminder of that reality. He said:

This is football. The last summer was tough for us, for Alex, but this is football. If you have an option for your life, for another team, you need to think about everything.

Despite keeping his future open, Tonali made it clear he is currently happy at Newcastle. He said in a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account:

This is a tough question because, you know, in football you need to think year for year. I don’t want to say I want to stay here 10 years and in two years, three years, four years, or five years I will go. I want to think just for me, year for year.

He also praised the club and fans for standing by him during his 10-month suspension, saying it strengthened his connection with them.

Tonali clarified that the reported secret contract extension, which ties him to Newcastle until 2028 with an option for 2029, was agreed during his suspension. While AC Milan and Juventus are keeping tabs on him, he remains focused on helping Eddie Howe’s side continue their Champions League journey.

Foden Double Powers Man City to 4-1 UCL Win Over Dortmund

Manchester City moved to the top half of the Champions League league phase with a convincing 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad. The encounter, previously previewed by SoftFootball as a battle of European heavyweights, lived up to expectations as City displayed authority and flair throughout.

Erling Haaland was on the scoresheet again after his recent brace at Bournemouth, but Phil Foden was the headline act, scoring two spectacular long-range goals to seal the night for City. The feel of the match was familiar and energising for City fans, especially after Haaland’s earlier form picked up people’s attention.

Dortmund started on the front foot and tried to dictate play from the first whistle. That ambitious approach nearly paid off early, yet City were sharp on the counter. Phil Foden tested Gregor Kobel twice before opening the scoring on 22 minutes, taking a tidy pass from Tijjani Reijnders and curling into the bottom left corner. The stadium woke up properly after that.

Seven minutes later the lead was doubled. Jeremy Doku recycled a cross, and Haaland finished from close range. It was clinical and ruthless. City then controlled the tempo, probing, rotating, and making the German side chase shadows.

The second half began in similar fashion. Foden added his second with another exquisite curl to the same corner, his confidence obvious and growing. Dortmund found a route back through Waldemar Anton on 72 minutes, a neat finish from a quick move. They threatened a late fightback, but a stoppage-time strike from Rayan Cherki made the scoreline emphatic.

City finished with superior xG and a dominant statistical profile. For Pep Guardiola it was pleasing because the team showed depth, cutting edge, and the habit of scoring from distance. For Dortmund it was a lesson in balance between attack and caution. The result, which was shared on the team’s official X account, lifts City’s hopes of a smooth path to the knockout rounds and gives fans something to savour before the next big fixture.

Fans React as Al Nassr Crush FC Goa 4–0 Without Cristiano Ronaldo

Al Nassr’s 4–0 demolition of FC Goa in the AFC Champions League Two on Wednesday night sparked a wave of excitement across social media, as fans celebrated the team’s dominant display even in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo. Reports from SoftFootball confirmed that Ronaldo was rested for the fixture, yet his teammates rose to the occasion with a commanding win in Riyadh.

The result came just days after discussions on whether the Saudi giants rely too heavily on their star man. That topic, explored in detail by SoftFootball in a recent feature, seemed momentarily silenced by this emphatic performance.

Moments after the final whistle, fans flooded X with pride and playful banter. One fan, Wellness wins (@Bro_Code_x), shared a post highlighting Al Nassr’s strength in Ronaldo’s absence, writing with confidence:

His intention was clear, as it was to celebrate the team’s ability to deliver results even without their legendary talisman.

Echoing similar sentiments, GoalZeit (@GoalZeit) praised the display, saying:

Al Nassr Thrash FC Goa 4–0 to Extend Perfect Record in AFC Champions League Two

Al Nassr made short work of FC Goa in Riyadh, winning 4–0 at Al-Awwal Park. The win keeps them perfect in Group D and leaves Goa still searching for a point. The match preview from SoftFootball captured the momentum shift as João Félix starred while Cristiano Ronaldo was rested. There is chatter, too, about whether Al Nassr leans too heavily on Ronaldo for big moments, a theme picked up in analysis pieces after the game.

Abdulrahman Ghareeb (Photo Credit: Al-Nassr via X)
Abdulrahman Ghareeb (Photo Credit: Al-Nassr via X)

The first half belonged to the hosts. They spent long spells in Goa’s half, turning possession into pressure. Abdulrahman Ghareeb opened the scoring in the 35th minute with a superb free kick, curling it over the wall and into the top corner. That one was pure technique. Goa managed no shots on target in the opening 45. Just a few minutes into the second half, Ghareeb got his second, a low finish after a quick counter that left Goa chasing shadows.

Joao Felix (Photo Credit: Al-Nassr via X)

The second half saw fresh legs change the tempo even more. Sadio Mané and João Félix came on around the hour mark, and the match tilted further. Mohammed Maran finished off a clever cut-back in the 65th minute to make it three. Then João Félix produced the night’s highlight, an audacious bicycle kick in the 84th minute that had the crowd on its feet. Simple as that.

The stat line was brutal: 75 per cent possession for Al Nassr, 18 shots to two, and eight corners to none. The result, shared on the club’s official X account, cements Al Nassr’s grip on Group D. Goa head to Baghdad next with questions to answer. Al Nassr switch focus to the domestic schedule, carrying a very healthy dose of confidence.

The comment immediately triggered laughter from Piers Morgan and fans worldwide. As highlighted by SoftFootball’s earlier report on Ronaldo’s talk about family, priorities, and retirement, this lighter side of Ronaldo reflects his ability to balance confidence with humour.

He wrote, emphasising how the star’s global image elevates everything around him:

Aston Villa have confirmed that captain John McGinn has signed a new contract extension, keeping him at the club until June 2028. The announcement, shared on the club’s official X account, highlights Villa’s desire to maintain their core leadership group under Unai Emery. As SoftFootball reported when Unai Emery celebrated his 54th birthday, the Spanish coach has been instrumental in building a strong and united dressing room. His leadership, both on and off the pitch, has mirrored the club’s growth. SoftFootball also recently reported on Matty Cash extending his contract until 2029, another sign that Villa’s project under Emery is built on stability and loyalty.

With Villa pushing for another strong Premier League campaign after tough clashes such as Liverpool’s recent 3-0 victory, McGinn’s new deal represents both stability and belief in a team hungry for more success.

Hansi Flick Reaffirms Commitment and Love for Barcelona

His message came as SoftFootball reported that the Catalans are determined to keep their European momentum alive in Belgium, emphasising that he remains fully committed to Barcelona’s long-term project.

Flick’s calm but passionate declaration followed days of speculation that he could leave at the end of the season. According to SoftFootball, the 60-year-old feels completely settled in the city and deeply connected to his players, especially the younger ones. He’s also proud of how Pedro “Dro” Fernández has impressed since making his La Liga and Champions League debut.

His belief in the club’s identity remains strong, built around La Masia’s youth and a possession-based style. As SoftFootball noted after Barcelona’s 3-1 win over Elche, Flick’s mix of passion, patience, and trust in young talent is shaping a bright new era at Camp Nou.

Fiorentina Sack Stefano Pioli After Winless Start to Serie A Season

On November 4, 2025, ACF Fiorentina confirmed the dismissal of head coach Stefano Pioli after a dreadful start to the 2025–26 Serie A season. The club released an official statement thanking Pioli and his staff for their professionalism on their official X account. According to SoftFootball, the decision followed their 1–0 home defeat to Lecce, their tenth straight game without a win, which left them bottom of the table with just four points.

The news came after reports that Fiorentina had rejected Atalanta’s €12 million bid for Robin Gosens, a move that signalled the club’s intent to focus on rebuilding. Despite the pressure, Pioli refused to resign voluntarily and reportedly insisted on completing his contract, which ran until 2028. Fiorentina’s hierarchy, led by Rocco Commisso and Joe Barone, had tried to reach a mutual agreement to avoid paying his full €3 million severance.

— ACF Fiorentina English (@ACFFiorentinaEN) November 4, 2025

However, negotiations broke down, leading to a tense standoff. The coach had earlier turned down a lucrative Saudi offer to return to Florence, confident he could restore the team’s form. The club’s recent transfer activity, including bringing back Edin Džeko to Serie A, reflected their desire for experience and leadership.

Pioli’s second spell began with optimism after his successful first tenure between 2017 and 2019, when Fiorentina finished sixth and qualified for Europe. This time, however, poor defending, lack of creativity, and low morale saw the Viola lose six of their first ten matches.

Daniele Galloppa will now lead Fiorentina temporarily as the club searches for a new permanent manager.

Achraf Hakimi Turns 27 Today: PSG and Morocco Star Celebrated Worldwide

Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco right-back Achraf Hakimi celebrates his 27th birthday today. Fresh from a two-goal display in PSG’s 3–0 win over Brest, as reported by SoftFootball, Hakimi has been central to the club’s recent form and remains one of the most exciting full-backs in world football. The Brest performance underlined his attacking threat and showcased why he is such a key figure at the Parc des Princes.

Beyond a single match, Hakimi’s recognition has been consistent. He features in conversations about the world’s best defenders and earned a place in the 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11, a sign of peer and media respect for his work both going forward and defensively. That nod is not just a flash; it is a reflection of sustained performances in big games and his importance to PSG’s ambitions this season.

His career path has been swift and varied. A product of Real Madrid’s academy, a breakthrough spell at Borussia Dortmund and a title-winning season at Inter Milan preceded his move to PSG in 2021. At Paris he developed further, blending speed, crossing and defensive discipline in a way few modern full-backs do. He scores, he defends, and he often starts attacks from deep. Some nights he looks unstoppable; other nights he simply keeps everything tidy. That mix is rare.

Paris Saint-Germain’s post on their official X account celebrates Achraf Hakimi’s 27th birthday, marking his evolution from a Madrid-born son of Moroccan immigrants facing economic hardship to a PSG star who captained Morocco to the 2022 World Cup semifinals, the first African nation to achieve this feat, per FIFA records.

On the international stage, Hakimi is Morocco’s leader and one of African football’s most visible stars. He has been at the centre of Morocco’s recent landmark runs and helped inspire a generation of players across the continent. Off the pitch he has grown into a public figure who carries responsibility well, engaging in charitable causes and earning respect beyond club loyalties.

Before the start of the season many pundits tipped Regis Le Bris’s Sunderland to be among the three teams to face relegation this season but so far, they are defying the odds are playing some delightful football and very strong at home.

Head-to-Head

Sunderland and Everton have met 184 times and the first meeting was in 1890-91 First Division, and it ended 1-0 in the Toffees’ favour.

That win represented the first of Everton’s 83 wins in this fixture, slightly more than Sunderland’s 71, while 30 draws have been played out by the Black Cats and the Toffees.

The Black Cats have four wins from their last 10 matches against Everton in all competitions, but they endured an abysmal 19-match winless run in this fixture from January 2002 to November 2012, suffering 14 losses.

Interestingly, David Moyes’s Everton memorably slaughtered Sunderland 7-1 during that sequence in a 2007 Premier League game, while the Black Cats’ biggest win in this battle came via a 7-0 scoreline on Boxing Day 1934.

Star player

Granit Xhaka is the main man for Sunderland. He controls play from midfield and packs a strong shot in his left foot. A leader and one the manager trust to decide things on the pitch when his voice can’t be heard.

For Everton, Jack Grealish is the main man and has produced four assists for teammates this season. The England international draws players to himself and creates space for others to operate. The Toffees will be hoping he is on his best form on Monday night to help them through the difficult game.

Team News

Sunderland will have Omar Alderete back after missing the win over Chelsea through concussion protocols.

Ivory Coast international, Simon Adingra is also expected back after missing the Blues victory with a small hamstring issue, while Dan Neil should be fine despite a concussion of his own, but Aji Alese (shoulder), Dennis Cirkin (wrist), Romain Mundle (thigh), Leo Fuhr Hjelde (Achilles) and Habib Diarra (groin) are still absent.

For Everton, England defender, Jarrad Branthwaite is not ready to retun and Nathan Patterson will also miss the Sunderland game. Apart from the above two, David Moyes has every of his player fit and ready to go.

Here is David Moyes giving an update on his squad as posted by Everton’s official X handle.

For me, the conversations have not changed a lot. We always talk about the game, and it’s always nicer to talk about the game if you have won than if you have lost.

According to him, both he and the leadership share similar views on the challenges facing the team — tactical adjustments, injuries, and fitness issues.

The Dutch coach also addressed criticism surrounding his team selections, especially after the Carabao Cup loss to Crystal Palace. He defended his rotation choices, citing absences of key players such as Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konaté, and Joe Gomez.

As Softfootball reported after that match, the Reds fielded several youngsters, with Slot explaining:

I didn’t use it as an excuse for losing… I only used it to explain my line-up.

Despite the setbacks, Slot retains the trust of the club’s owners, who believe the current form is a temporary phase. The manager remains confident that his squad will recover its rhythm and return to winning ways soon

Rúben Amorim Dismisses Liverpool Rivalry Talk, Focused Only on Winning the Premier League

Manchester United head coach Rúben Amorim has played down the importance of being ahead of Liverpool in the Premier League table, insisting that his only goal is to keep winning and guide United to the top of English football. Speaking after United’s thrilling 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, as reported by Softfootball, Amorim said he is not interested in rivalry bragging rights but in building a team that can compete for the title.

Amorim stated firmly, as shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account:

I could not care less about being up in front of Liverpool. I just want to win every game and finish top of the league. I want to be in that position to be the champions of the Premier League!

His comments came shortly after Softfootball reported how Amorim’s tactical discipline and strong leadership have revitalised the Bruno Fernandes–Casemiro partnership in midfield, a key factor in United’s recent resurgence.

The victory at Anfield marked Manchester United’s first win there since 2016, a result that many fans and pundits hailed as a statement of intent. Amorim, however, preferred to stay grounded. He described it as the biggest win of his tenure so far but insisted that it would not mean much beyond the three points.

He said, shifting attention to the upcoming fixture against Brighton:

We have the responsibility to play to win the game… but tomorrow, it will not mean a lot.

Amorim’s approach has always been about consistency and long-term progress rather than emotional reactions to single results. The win pushed United to ninth place, only two points behind Liverpool, who were struggling with a four-game losing streak. Yet, the Portuguese coach maintained that his focus was on improving performance week after week, not on the league table.

Speaking about squad rotation in a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account, Amorim addressed the limited playing time of young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. He explained:

We need to go to Europe! Imagine for me to have Kobbie Mainoo with the minutes that he’s playing, he needs more games for me to make a rotation.

The manager also admitted the difficulty of balancing minutes between experienced players and developing youngsters. He said:

One game is really hard. I have to take out one of the guys that is playing to put in another.

Despite Mainoo’s frustration over a blocked loan move in the summer, Amorim reaffirmed his belief in the 20-year-old’s talent.

He said:

I believe a lot in Kobbie. I think I am helping him, and that is it. He will have opportunities like the other guys.

Amorim’s patience and confidence in youth have become trademarks of his management style. His message is simple and clear. For him, it is not about Liverpool or any other rival. It is about Manchester United returning to the top, one win at a time.

Lucas Beraldo Denies PSG Exit Rumors, Reaffirms His Commitment to the Club

Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo has spoken out to dismiss recent rumours about his possible departure from Paris Saint-Germain, calling them fake news. In a heartfelt message shared on his official Instagram story on October 31, 2025, the 21-year-old centre-back made it clear that he remains fully committed to the French champions.

The clarification followed several online reports claiming that Beraldo was unsettled due to limited minutes in major matches. His response comes only a few days after Softfootball reported PSG’s plans to secure long-term defensive stability with players like Willian Pacho and Marquinhos.

Beraldo wrote, as shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account:

I’ve seen some fake news going around saying that I want to leave PSG. I’m very happy at PSG, and playing and defending for this club is undoubtedly a dream come true. I stay focused to continue giving my best and together with my teammates to achieve our goals. Let’s go Paris!

The message arrived not long after PSG’s 3-0 victory over Brest, in which Hakimi starred, as reported by Softfootball. A result that highlighted their strong domestic form but also reminded fans that Beraldo has not featured as regularly in high-profile fixtures. Reports linking him with frustration started to spread in late October.

Some outlets suggested that Beraldo was unhappy with his reduced role under Luis Enrique, particularly after being left out of the Champions League starting lineup. However, Enrique responded by expressing trust in the young defender, saying he only needed patience. The coach explained during a recent press conference:

Beraldo is very young but has a lot of experience and personality. I like him a lot. Right now, he’s not playing all the matches he wants, but that’s how it is in this team.

Beraldo’s contract with PSG runs until June 2028, showing that the club still sees him as part of its long-term project. Since joining from São Paulo in January 2024, he has earned praise for his composure on the ball, his calm passing under pressure, and his ability to build play from the back. In his debut season, he made 25 Ligue 1 appearances and helped PSG secure a domestic double. Despite that success, he has not featured in this season’s Champions League, which has fuelled questions about his role in Enrique’s rotation.

The defender currently competes with Marquinhos, Pacho, and Ilya Zabarnyi for a place in central defense. The competition is tough, especially with Pacho’s recent rise in form and consistent selection in key matches. Beraldo, however, appears determined to fight for his spot. His public statement to fans seems aimed at shutting down any talk of a transfer before the winter window and at keeping focus on PSG’s ambitions both in France and in Europe.

While PSG continue to chase trophies, they have also been managing injuries to key players, as Doué was stretchered off during the recent Lorient draw. Amid that, Beraldo’s reassurance is a timely message of unity. It reminds supporters that, despite rumours, he remains focused on helping the team reach its goals.
