WhatsApp Beta lets channel admins see post forward numbers
WhatsApp has added a new feature for Android beta users. This helps WhatsApp Channel admins see how many times their posts have been forwarded. It gives them a better idea of which posts people like and share.
The main highlight in this update is that channel admins can now see the forward count for their posts. When someone forwards a post, the number of forwards will appear next to the forward button. It will also show the emoji reactions from followers.
Right now, only admins can see this number, and followers cannot see it yet. This feature gives admins more information about their channels.

Earlier, WhatsApp started testing a feature to show how many people view a post, but that is still being developed. WhatsApp is trying two options β showing view counts only to admins, or also letting followers see them.
The forward count works in a way that protects user privacy. When a post is forwarded, it is encrypted, so WhatsApp cannot know who sent it or who received it. The app only counts the number of contacts the post is sent to, even if it is forwarded multiple times in the same chat. This number is then added to the total forwards for the post.
This feature is available in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android, version 2.26.4.11, through the Google Play Beta Program. Right now, it is rolling out to some beta testers. WhatsApp will continue working on the feature to make sure it works properly before making it available to all users.
