Samsung’s new Quick Share update is a game changer – Here’s what’s new

Samsung has released a new update for Quick Share, which makes sharing files easier and better for Galaxy users. The update enables AirDrop-like sharing on Galaxy devices.

The fresh update brings a new option called “Your Devices.” It is added in the Who can share with you setting. With this option, you can choose to receive files only from your own devices. This helps keep your phone safe and gives you more control over who can send you files.

Samsung has also changed how things look in the Share Panel. Now, nearby devices are shown from left to right. This small change makes it easier to quickly find and select the device you want to share with.

In addition to this, the update adds the ability to share app content. Before, Quick Share was mainly used for sending photos, videos, or files. Now, you can also share things like reminders, camera presets, photo filters, and stickers. This makes sharing more fun and helpful in everyday use.

It also brings an AirDrop-like sharing experience to older Galaxy devices running One UI 8.5 Beta. This means even if you have an older phone, you can still enjoy fast and smooth sharing like newer devices. However, some One UI 8.0 users are also reporting receiving this feature.

You can easily get this update via Samsung Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates. Install the update to enjoy latest features.

Google March 2026 core update rolling out now

Google released the March 2026 core update today, the company announced.

This is Google’s first core update of 2026. It follows the quick March 2026 spam update from a couple of days ago and the February 2026 Discover update.

What Google is saying. Google updated its Search Status Dashboard to state:

  • “Released the March 2026 core update. The rollout may take up to 2 weeks to complete.”

Google added on LinkedIn:

  • “This is a regular update designed to better surface relevant, satisfying content for searchers from all types of sites. The rollout may take up to 2 weeks to complete.”

About core updates. Core updates roll out several times each year. They introduce broad, significant changes to Google’s search algorithms and systems, which is why Google announces them.

What to do if you are hit. Google didn’t share new guidance specific to the March 2026 core update. However, Google has previously offered advice on what to consider if a core update negatively impacts your site:

  • There aren’t specific actions you can take to recover. A negative rankings impact may not mean anything is wrong with your pages.
  • Google provided a list of questions to consider if your site is hit by a core update.
  • You may see some recovery between core updates, but the biggest changes tend to follow another core update.

In short: write helpful content for people, not for search engines.

  • “There’s nothing new or special that creators need to do for this update as long as they’ve been making satisfying content meant for people. For those that might not be ranking as well, we strongly encourage reading our creating helpful, reliable, people-first content help page,” Google said previously.

For more details on Google core updates, you can read Google’s documentation.

Previous core updates. Here’s a timeline and our coverage of recent core updates:

Why we care. With any core update, you often see significant volatility in Google search results and rankings. These updates may improve visibility for your site or your clients’ sites, but you may also see fluctuations or declines in rankings and organic traffic. We hope this update rewards your efforts and drives strong traffic and conversions.

Google’s Android 17 Beta 3 released with platform stability – Check what’s new

Google has released Android 17 Beta 3 for Pixel devices almost a month after the previous update. This version reaches the Platform Stability milestone, which means that final APIs, app behaviors, and non-SDK lists are now set. Developers can now begin their final testing to make sure apps are fully compatible with the upcoming official release.

Android 17 Beta 3 is available for a wide range of Pixel devices, including Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9 series, 10 series, and the Android Emulator. Users can join the Android Beta Program to receive over-the-air (OTA) updates and provide feedback.

The latest beta update brings several user and developer-focused improvements. Bubbles are now fully enabled, allowing apps to support multitasking more easily. Users can also hide app labels on the home screen for a cleaner look, and the screen recording toolbar has been redesigned with a floating interface that does not appear in recorded videos.

Moreover, camera and media features include capturing 14-bit RAW images, customizable photo picker grids, and new vendor-defined camera extensions for AI and “Super Resolution” modes. Apps can also identify camera types—built-in, external, or virtual.

Audio improvements include better support for Bluetooth LE hearing aids with separate routing for notifications and alarms. Also, there’s a new HE-AAC software encoder for high-quality low-bitrate audio.

Performance and privacy upgrades include reduced wakelocks for idle alarms, a secure system location button for session-only access, separate password visibility for touch and keyboard input, and Post-Quantum Cryptography hybrid APK signing.

It also includes widget support on external displays, interactive desktop PiP windows, VPN app exclusion settings, dynamic font updates, and Health Connect enhancements. You can check the full changelog of the Android 17 Beta 3 update here.

OnePlus OxygenOS B50P01 Update Adds Auto File Open and Improves Stability

OnePlus has started rolling out a new system update, version B50P01, as part of its regular update cycle. The update focuses on system stability and adds a few small features aimed at improving everyday use.

The build carries version numbers BRB1EX01 for phones and BRB3EX01 for tablets. The rollout began on March 16, 2026, and will continue in phases until around March 31. As with previous releases, it is being pushed in batches. Users also have the option to manually check for the update and install it without waiting for the full OTA rollout.

One of the main changes is in Content Portal, available on OxygenOS 16 and select models. The feature now supports app clones. This allows users to duplicate apps and manage content more easily across different accounts or use cases.

The update also brings a change to OnePlus Share on OxygenOS 16 devices. A new option called “Automatically open received files” has been added. Users can choose whether shared files open immediately after being received or stay saved for manual access. This gives more control over how files are handled during transfers.

Alongside these changes, the update includes general system stability improvements. OnePlus has not listed performance upgrades, but the focus is on making the system more stable and reliable during daily use.

The rollout covers a wide range of devices across different OxygenOS versions. Devices on OxygenOS 16 include the OnePlus Open, OnePlus 15 series, OnePlus 13 and 13R, OnePlus 12 and 11 series, OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE5, Nord 4, Nord CE4 series, Nord 3, and the OnePlus Pad 3, Pad 2, and Pad.

Devices running OxygenOS 15 and 16 include the OnePlus Nord 3 and OnePlus Pad. OxygenOS 15 also covers the OnePlus 10 series and Nord CE3 series. OxygenOS 14 includes the OnePlus 9 series, OnePlus 8T, Nord 2T 5G, Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, and OnePlus Pad Go. OxygenOS 13.1.0 reaches the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, while OxygenOS 13.0.0 includes the Nord 2 5G, Nord CE 2 5G, and Nord CE 5G.

OnePlus says this update follows its usual version pattern and does not change device performance or core system behavior.
