World Cup 2026 qualifier Sweden will fly out to Mexico after hosting Greece in its final tournament warm-up fixture to be held on European soil on Thursday. The Arsenal striker may be ready to make his return to the squad for Swedenβs final warm-up fixture, having missed Mondayβs 3-1 defeat to Norway. That fixture took place less than 48 hours after the Gunners lost to PSG in the Champions League final, but enough time has passed to suggest he could be involved in Solna.Β
Greece has managed to beat Sweden in two of the last four matchups between these teams, which account for their only victories in eight total meetings. The most recent of those took place during qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, where each team won a game apiece and both ended up falling short.
