Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, Tab S6 Lite, and XCover 7 get December 2025 security patch

Samsung has started rolling out the December 2025 security update for some of its popular devices, including the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, and Galaxy XCover 7. This update improves system security, fixes bugs, and helps your device run more smoothly.

The Exynos variant of the Galaxy S21 FE in Vietnam is now receiving the December 2025 update with firmware version G990EXXSKHYK5. On the other side, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Galaxy XCover 7 are getting the update in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines with firmware versions P625XXS7CYK1 and G556BXXSCDYK5.

This December security patch brings 68 important security fixes. Out of these, 57 are Android fixes, including 6 critical and 51 high-level security issues. There are also 11 One UI-specific fixes to make Samsung devices safer. Some issues were already fixed in previous updates, and 14 issues do not apply to these devices.

This update will protect your files and data from potential security risks. It also improves system stability, so your phone or tablet works better and without interruptions.

Samsung will release the December 2025 security update in more countries soon. To check if the update is available, go to Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install. Make sure your device is charged and connected to Wi-Fi before updating.
