Hereβs temporary fix for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold phones app continuity issue
Samsung has confirmed a software issue affecting the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones. After updating to the One UI 8 update, some users are experiencing issues with a useful feature β Continue App Use. This issue happens when the phone is folded or unfolded, and apps do not continue smoothly between screens.
The Continue App Use feature keeps apps running when you switch from the cover screen to the main screen or vice versa. But after the latest update, this feature is not working properly. Apps may restart or fail to move to the new screen when you open or close the phone. This issue is annoying Galaxy foldable device users.
Fortunately, Samsung has acknowledged that the issue occurs after updating the software to One UI 8 on both Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 models. Also, the company has provided a temporary solution that can fix the issue until a new software update is released.

Users are advised to reset their display settings by changing the screen layout and size values. For that, you need to open Settings >> Click on Display >> go to screen layout and size >> Change the setting to a different option >> Change it back to your original setting. This refreshes the display system and helps the feature work better.
Aside from this, Samsung is also working on a permanent fix that will be released in a future software update. Users are advised to keep their devices updated by checking Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install. Stay tuned.
