It has a download size of about 540MB. Since the rollout is gradual, some users may receive the update earlier while others might have to wait a little longer.
This update brings the February 2026 security patch. According to Samsung, this patch fixes 37 security issues found in earlier software versions. These fixes help protect the phone from potential security risks.
Aside from this, some users have also noticed a new feature β Inactivity Restart. This feature automatically restarts the phone if it is not used for 72 hours. After the restart, lock-screen notifications are hidden, and the phone asks for a passcode to unlock it. This helps protect personal data and improve privacy.
If you own a Galaxy S26 in the US, you can check for the update manually. Simply open Settings, go to Software Update, and tap Download and Install. If the update is available for your device, it will start downloading.
