Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra: Price increase breakdown
Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra are now open for pre-order, and we’ve brought a price increase breakdown as well as a comparison with previous generations to get you a clear picture of what has changed.
Galaxy S26 vs S25
S26:
- 256GB – $899.99
- 512GB – $1,099.99
S25:
- 128GB – $799.99
- 256GB – $859.99
The standard version now starts at $899, that’s for the price for the 256GB, as Samsung is no longer offering 128GB storage over the previous generation. Still, it’s $40 more than the 256GB version of the S25. After removing the 128GB storage, the standard model is offering a 512GB option.
Galaxy S26+ vs S25+
S26+
- 256GB = $1,099.99
- 512GB = $1,299.99
S25+
- 256GB = $999.99
- 512GB = $1,119.99
The Galaxy S26+ takes a conservative approach and brings performance enhancements with a new Snapdragon chipset. For that, you will have to pay $100 and $180 extra for 256GB and 512GB, respectively.
Galaxy S26 Ultra vs S25 Ultra
S26 Ultra
- 256GB = $1,299.99
- 512GB = $1,499.99
- 1TB = $1,799.99
S25 Ultra
- 256GB = $1,299.99
- 512GB = $1,419.99
- 1TB = $1,659.99
The Galaxy Ultra flagship is the star of Samsung’s annual sales, and pre-launch rumors suggested that the entire S26 Ultra will get a price increase. In that case, Samsung didn’t disappoint new consumers and retained the base S25 Ultra price.
Instead, the company has opted for a $80 increment on the 512GB and a $140 hike on the 1TB version. You should know that the 16GB RAM is now part of the 1TB package.
The global DRAM shortage is the key reason behind these changes. By increasing the prices for other models and memory options, Samsung appearantly trying to offset the expense of not hiking the base S26 Ultra.
Still, the new performance, camera and features like privacy display, makes the Galaxy S26 Ultra model worth buying, since it hasn’t moved the base price at all.
