Samsung showcases Galaxy S26’s Privacy Display switch

14 February 2026 at 20:48

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S26 series will launch on 25 February 2026. Ahead of the official release, the company has shared a new teaser video revealing an interesting feature – Privacy Display.

In the teaser, Samsung shows how the new Privacy Display feature works. The Galaxy S26 series will include a special zero peeking mode. This means that when the feature is turned on, people sitting beside you will not be able to see what is on your phone screen.

The privacy display hides some of the pixels through a collaboration between the hardware and software. With a hidden side view, only the front user can view the on-screen content.

The Privacy Display feature works through a combination of hardware and software. It hides certain pixels on the screen in a smart way. When you look at the phone directly from the front, you can clearly see everything on the screen. However, if someone tries to look at your phone from the side, the screen appears dark or black. This helps protect your personal information in public places.

The teaser video shows three people sitting next to each other in a public place. The person in the middle is using her Galaxy S26 phone, while the two people sitting beside her can easily see her screen. She then turns on the Privacy Display feature.

For your eyes only. 😍 Get ready for the next level of privacy. Can your phone do that? #GalaxyAI

— Samsung Mobile US (@SamsungMobileUS) February 14, 2026

Once it is activated, the side view of the screen becomes dark. The two people next to her can no longer see what is displayed. From their angle, the screen looks completely black, while the main user can still see everything clearly from the front.

Can your phone do that? No, as Samsung is going to release the Privacy Display feature with the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026. You can reserve for the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 now. Stay tuned.

Samsung Galaxy S26 family’s pricing is not favorable

By:Yash
14 February 2026 at 15:42

Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup’s pricing doesn’t seem favorable this year. The devices adopting the camera bump in a major design overhaul, getting Privacy Display and next-gen application processors this year.

Why Samsung Galaxy S26 pricing isn’t favorable

Galaxy S26 family is tipped to launch roughly 100,000 won (about $70) higher than the S25 lineup. This move pushes the base model north of 1.2 million won (around $835), with the Ultra hitting up to 2.2 million won (about $1,525).

Camera, which was the most anticipated segment, remains boring. The cameras used in the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are just a replica of what was used in the S25 and S25+. The S26 Ultra has a smaller telephoto zoom camera.

Counterpoint Research expects memory prices to jump 80 to 90 percent in the first quarter alone versus the previous quarter. That’s not background noise, but a shockwave through the Bill of Materials, or BoM.

TSMC has increased the costs of chip manufacturing, directly affecting Qualcomm and ultimately Samsung. Rising costs of DRAM and NAND flash memory chips played a crucial role in spiking the bill of materials cost this year.

BoM costs for smartphones already climbed 10 to 25 percent from early last year to year-end, with another 10 to 15 percent increase expected by Q2. Global smartphone average selling prices are projected to rise just 6.9 percent this year.

Next Galaxies to go pricier

Memory shortages are expected to persist into next year. After the Galaxy S26, Samsung must fast-track the launch of the Galaxy Z8 foldables, the Galaxy A57, and the Galaxy S26 FE, a Fan Edition version of the Galaxy S26 lineup.

The MX Division can absorb some cost at the top end, where Ultra buyers are already conditioned to premium pricing. The situation is difficult: raise prices too aggressively and volume drops, hold prices steady and margins erode.

Samsung is both supplier and victim of the same supply shock.

Galaxy S26 GPU: Exynos beats Snapdragon in ray tracing benchmark

By:Yash
14 February 2026 at 13:45

Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be equipped with Exynos and Snapdragon processors, with the former beating the latter in a key aspect: ray-tracing-based GPU benchmark.

The South Korean tech giant is set to launch its new flagships on February 25. The new devices will be available for purchase starting March 11. European users may have one less reason to complain about the Exynos adoption this year.

Early benchmarks suggest Exynos-powered Galaxy S26 phones are no longer behind their Snapdragon counterparts. The CPU performance gap has narrowed significantly, and the GPU is surpassing the benchmark.

“In Vitro” benchmark of Basemark revealed Galaxy S26’s ray-tracing-based stats. The device has scored 8,262 points, 10 percent higher than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Android flagship phones.

Exynos 2600 features Xclipse 960 GPU, which is based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture. GPU alone isn’t the engine behind this impressive performance. It’s backed by two key hardware-level technologies, including:

  1. HPB – Heat Path Block (packaging technology)
  2. 2nm SF2 – GAA fabrication process

Heat Path Block packaging tech ensures better heat dissipation on the chipset. Qualcomm seems interested in this solution and future Snapdragon chips, even if manufactured at TSMC, would also feature HPB packaging tech.

Galaxy S26 series is unveiling on February 25 in California. Reservations are already live, offering up to $900 savings upon trade-in plus a $30 free credit. You also automatically enter a giveaway of $5000 in the United States.

Samsung may keep Galaxy S26 prices unchanged in the US. Meanwhile, Koreans could be facing total heat of DRAM and NAND flash cost burden. Reports suggest a $70 increase in base prices, going up to $120 for Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S26 facing ‘lack of interest’ ahead of launch?

By:Yash
14 February 2026 at 07:47

Samsung is heading into the Galaxy S26 cycle with an uncomfortable whisper in the background: lack of interest. The company is reportedly targeting 34 million units across the lineup, which seems difficult to achieve.

Galaxy S26 is facing a lack of interest

That phrase, attributed to tipster @SPYGO19726, is not something you hear often about Samsung. Supply chain inputs (via wccftech) point to a softer pre-order cadence and even canceled reservations in key channels.

Samsung announced the launch date for the Galaxy S26 earlier this week. The Unpacked is set to take place on February 25 in San Francisco. The official sale is expected to begin on March 11 in various parts of the world.

The Korean tech giant is banking on its Privacy Display, branded internally as Flex Magic Pixel, to carry the conversation. The tech promises improved viewing angle control, something fans may appreciate on a wide scale.

Whether that translates into mass market excitement is another matter.

Qi2 magnets are missing, and that absence stings more than Samsung likely expected. Accessory ecosystems are sticky, and consumers notice when their premium phone lacks a standard that competitors are embracing.

A reported 99,000 won increase pushes the starting tag to around 1,254,000 won. DRAM and NAND flash costs are climbing, and margin pressure is real. Still, asking consumers to pay more for what looks familiar is a sheer gamble.

In a cycle defined by bold moves from rivals, Samsung’s biggest risk may not be technical weakness. It is the creeping sense that the giant is playing it safe when the market wants surprise.

Alleged Galaxy S26 test device leaks in live images

By:Yash
14 February 2026 at 06:43

A new leak allegedly reveals a Galaxy S26 Plus test device in live images. The phone is shown in its Black colorway, giving us another look at the upcoming handset.

The Galaxy S26 Plus, as shown in live images, is a functional unit that keeps the identifier on the back panel. The smartphone’s back has a device identifier ID printed, one at the upper side, second at the bottom side.

The device has symmetrical bezels that are pretty thin. This isn’t a spec upgraded this year, but borrowed from the Galaxy S25 series. The cutout for the selfie camera seems slightly larger than the previous Galaxy flagships.

On the back, there is a prominent camera bump, which incorporates three sensors, including ultrawide, main, and telephoto. Next to the camera island is an LED flashlight, which doubles down as a torch when required.

Samsung is also departing from the Saturn camera ring design. The Galaxy S26 series returns to the rings made of metal that look sharp yet smooth. Camera durability has also enhanced, thanks to the adoption of camera island.

The live images may be an early test unit or may be fake. The official reveal is just a few days away, but it’s no brainer seeing these pictures. A total of four shots were leaked, and you can have a look at the two others here (@Kakooli98/X).

Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S26 series on February 26. The company has also started accepting reservations for the next Galaxy. You can score a free $30 Samsung Credit and up to $900 in trade-in savings.

Low Galaxy S25 Ultra trade-in value disappoints users ahead of S26 launch

13 February 2026 at 17:56

Samsung Galaxy S26 series is already getting attention before its official launch. Samsung has opened pre-reservations for ₹999 ahead of its February 25 Unpacked event. The company says this will help users lock in current trade-in values and get special benefits. Still, many people are unsure about upgrading.

The reason behind this uncertainty for the pre-reservation is the low trade-in value of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The phone launched in January 2025 at a starting price of ₹1,41,999. But now, some users say they are getting exchange offers of around ₹52,130 for the 512GB model. Many feel this price drop is too big in such a short time.

Users believe a premium phone should keep its value for longer. When the resale value falls quickly, it makes people think twice about buying the next model. Some customers are now questioning whether upgrading every year is really worth it.

One user shared that he sold his older Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra for ₹44,000. He feels the difference between the resale value of the S23 Ultra and the newer S25 Ultra is not very big. Because of this, he does not see a strong reason to upgrade again so soon.

Some people say selling the phone privately can give better returns. A few users claim they can get up to ₹80,000 if the phone is in good condition. However, personally selling a phone to someone takes time and effort, and not everyone wants to handle that process.

For now, many users feel the Galaxy S25 Ultra is still powerful and works very well. Instead of rushing to buy the Galaxy S26 series, some may choose to keep their current phone longer.

Some Galaxy S26 teasers aren’t real; Samsung made them with AI

By:Yash
13 February 2026 at 16:31

With the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung is further expanding AI smarts, and the scope has even expanded to official teasers.

Recently, Samsung showcased Galaxy S26 phone’s camera improvements in new teasers, one of which was made using AI. It isn’t a discovery of finding, but the company itself revealed the fact through a footnote.

The most recent Galaxy S26 teaser that displayed the phone’s low-light camera was generated with artificial intelligence. Samsung hasn’t revealed whether the idea is derived from AI or the video is made using Gen AI.

The video keeps a footnote, “This content was generated with the assistance of AI tools,” from the beginning to the end. It seems the video is completely made using AI, based on the improvements realized during lab testing.

It’s good that Samsung itself revealed the teaser’s credibility. If someone else had found the roots, it would have become a massive controversy. Samsung has just safeguarded itself from a potentially hefty debacle.

Samsung AI-generated Galaxy S26 teasers

Since AI is expanding across marketing, even official stuff can’t be considered authentic. This video alone is an AI footnote, and we may have seen many more teasers that could have been generated using AI tools as well.

This is what makes genuine reviews a must post-launch. Marketing stuff can be misleading, and we don’t usually focus on hidden notes. Improvements are literally there, but not the ones shown in the latest camera-centric teaser.

Samsung is set to hold the Galaxy S26 launch event on February 25 in San Francisco. South Korea is reportedly seeing a price hike of up to $100. A recent leak revealed the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra in all colors, without watermark.

Galaxy S26 features stunning low-light camera, new teaser shows

By:Yash
13 February 2026 at 07:31

Samsung today released two new teasers, one of which highlights the Galaxy S26 lineup’s low-light camera capabilities. Another teaser targets the software side, which is packed with newly designed apps and services.

The new teaser sheds light on the Galaxy S26 series’ stunning low-light camera performance. Samsung terms it “Vibrant nights even in low light” as the phones bring upgrades to photo and video modes.

The short clip likely boasts camera samples right from the Galaxy S26 devices. The former part displays a video that looks dull, lacking proper light. The latter part changes the game by addressing the lack of light and colors.

This upgrade is driven by software optimization and AI. There is no difference in the camera specifications between the Galaxy S25 and S26 series. That said, the new camera algorithm and AI perks are paying off positively.

Galaxy S26 Camera Specs

Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus are equipped with a 50-megapixel primary, a 12-megapixel ultrawide and a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto camera. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has a superior camera setup, featuring a quad-sensor setup:

  • a 50-megapixel ultrawide
  • a 200-megapixel primary
  • a 50-megapixel 5x periscope
  • a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto

The Galaxy S26 trio comes with a 12-megapixel front camera. This is a pretty impressive sensor that lets stunning selfies be captured on Samsung flagships. The next-gen Galaxy S phones will also pack new algorithms and AI smarts.

Galaxy S26 series is set to be unveiled on February 25 in San Francisco. Event invites are already out, and fans around the world can watch the launch livestream.

A Galaxy S26 Ultra pre-order rumor got me hyped

13 February 2026 at 05:02

A new rumor indicates that Samsung may ship a freebie with Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra during the pre-order phase to increase early customers’ interest.

Specifically, the phone lineup is rumored to ship with a 60W super-fast charger. Samsung has been offering 45W support for all of the recent flagship phones. However, the premium lineup no longer ships with a charger inside the retail box, and users will have to buy it separately.

Since the phone also supports backward charging, such as 25W, many of the users don’t bother buying a new brick for the sake of faster charging sessions. As for me, I had a 45W charger, and it makes the charging experience a lot faster.

However, Samsung is reportedly launching 60W wired charging support for the Galaxy S26 series. This will further boost the charging speed. Besides charging, the high-end model – the Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to retain the 5,000mAh battery capacity, which Samsung has been using for a long time now. So, why would Samsung pack a 60W charger for pre-ordering customers?

The situation lies around the current supply chain conditions, especially those created by the memory suppliers. Samsung is also part of the problem, since it’s no longer producing DRAM and other memory chips in order to increase HBM production.

This situation has created a lack of memory and storage chip supplies in the tech industry. Thus, increasing prices and making final products more expensive.

Last year, Samsung offered a free storage upgrade at the cost of a lower-end version. For example, users can claim a 512GB version of S25 Ultra at the price of the 256GB variant. The new supply chain constraint may have caused the company to shift away from this pre-order offer and offer another freebie instead.

Cost-efficient

Though it’s a rumor, Samsung could ship a 60W charger with the Galaxy S26 series pre-order campaign without sustaining a major loss.

A 45W charger costs around $50 on Samsung’s official store. So, the 60W charger should be priced around $60-$70, which is still a fair deal to trade for the early Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, or S26 Ultra pre-order customers. Therefore, offering a free charger won’t be a bigger expense than giving away a free storage, at least in the current scenario.

On the other side, users won’t have to buy this accessory on their own and experience a better charging rate, which will ease their day-to-day experience with the newly released models. If true, this will compensate well for losing the free storage upgrade offer.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026, at the Unpacked event.

Official Galaxy S26 launch invite hides four bold details

By:Yash
12 February 2026 at 15:49

Official Galaxy Unpacked invite is not just a calendar reminder. It is a quiet confession; Samsung is telling us what matters for the Galaxy S26, without spelling it out. The signature feature, colors, shapes, and symbols, all do the talking.

The February 25, 2026, date is locked in. The real story is everything wrapped around it.

Privacy Display

Samsung officially announced Privacy Display technology. Now, the Unpacked invite indicates that Privacy Display is being highlighted as a signature feature of the Galaxy S26 series.

The idea of things being hidden in plain sight ties neatly into the rumored Privacy Display feature, which selectively dims content when someone is looking over your shoulder.

Samsung Unpacked 2026 privacy display teaser

Galaxy S26 signature color

The first thing that jumps out is the color. That deep blue-purple tone is not accidental. It looks very close to what we have been hearing internally described as Cobalt Violet, possibly Ultraviolent, depending on market naming.

One UI 8.5 design evolution

Look closely at the invite’s design language, soft gradients, clean edges, and subtle depth. This looks suspiciously like a preview of One UI 8.5. A late February Unpacked suggests one thing. Extra time was needed, not for hardware, but for software.

Agentic Galaxy AI

The box in the invite matters. Galaxy Unpacked has always played with the idea of opening something new, but this time the box feels different.

More deliberate, almost functional, and we read this as a metaphor for agentic AI, the next step beyond chat-based assistants. Samsung has been hinting that Galaxy AI is moving from answers to actions.

If this lands as promised, your phone stops feeling like an app launcher and starts behaving more like an assistant that actually earns its name.

The invite was never just an invite, but a decoder ring. It is telling us the Galaxy S26 is aiming higher than incremental upgrades.
