One UI 9 leak highlights interface redesigns in Now Bar, widgets, and Gallery
Samsung is still rolling out One UI 8.5 Beta updates on its phones, but leaks have started showing what could be coming in One UI 9. Fans are getting a first look at some design changes that make the interface look fresher and easier to use.
The new information shared by SammyGuru shows three main upgrades of One UI 9 to enhance the experience. It includes changes to the Now Bar, the Widget, and the Gallery app.
The Now Bar has a darker background, which makes it easier to read. When playing music or other media, the song name appears at the top, and a wavy animation moves at the bottom of the bar. You can remove the Now Bar toggle or open its settings by long-pressing it.

Moreover, Samsung’s widgets are also getting a small design update. Widgets like the Samsung Browser, Weather, and the Now Bar now have squared corners instead of rounded ones. The leak hints that there might be options to change corner styles so users can pick the look they like.

Also, the Gallery app is getting a practical change too. When selecting multiple photos, a softly blurred box appears at the bottom of the screen. This box collects all the photos you select, so you can easily see which ones are picked. The leak shows you can select up to 15 images at once.
It is important to know that these changes are from a leak. Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything yet, and the final One UI 9 could look different. Also, One UI 9 won’t come soon because Samsung is still working to conclude One UI 8.5 Beta, even stable version is available with the Galaxy S26 series. Stay tuned for more information.
