Jose Mourinho could lead to transfer U-turn for Liverpool & Arsenal-linked star

If Jose Mourinho gets the Real Madrid job as expected, it could lead to a change to Eduardo Camavinga’s transfer situation this summer.

The France international has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in recent times, with the feeling being that he was no longer in Real Madrid’s plans.

Indeed, well-placed sources had informed us that clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal had been offered Camavinga‘s services, while a report from TEAMtalk stated that the player was unhappy with his situation in the Spanish capital.

Now, however, it seems that Mourinho’s arrival as manager could lead to Camavinga being kept around, according to Fichajes.

Eduardo Camavinga faces interesting transfer decision

It seems Mourinho has already made detailed plans about what he wants his Madrid squad to look like, with Camavinga seen as a key figure he doesn’t want to lose.

The 23-year-old is undoubtedly a fine player who has done well for much of his time in La Liga, with his ability to play a few different positions also surely an advantage.

However, if Camavinga can get the chance to try a new challenge with Liverpool or Arsenal, perhaps he should take it.

It could be a risk sticking around at Real for much longer, even if Mourinho is seemingly planning to make more use of him.

This isn’t an easy call, and one imagines it will be some time before we see Camavinga coming to a final decision on his future.

It also remains to be seen, of course, how much control Mourinho will actually have if he returns to Los Blancos.

The Portuguese tactician will no doubt want some say over how his squad looks, but it is increasingly the case in the modern game that there are multiple decision-makers such as sporting directors and club presidents who can overrule managers.

Report: Man United and Bayern Munich circle to sign Newcastle United youngster

Newcastle United could have a difficult fight on their hands this summer as interest grows in Lewis Hall.

The 21-year-old left-back has developed into one of the most exciting young defenders in the Premier League, and several major clubs are now watching his situation closely.

Newcastle still see Hall as a key part of their long-term plans. He is under contract until 2029, which gives the Magpies a strong negotiating position.

However, according to TEAMtalk, the player would at least consider leaving St James’ Park if the right opportunity arrived.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all been linked with him, while Newcastle are determined to keep him.

Lewis Hall has impressed the top clubs

Hall’s rise has been impressive because he has gone from a talented Chelsea academy player to a serious Premier League full-back in a short space of time.

Newcastle originally brought him in from Chelsea on loan before making the move permanent, and he has continued to grow under Eddie Howe.

Want more CaughtOffside coverage? Add us as a preferred source on Google to your favourites list for news you can trust

His background as a midfielder has helped him become more than just a traditional left-back.

He is comfortable receiving the ball under pressure, stepping inside, progressing possession and helping attacks develop from deeper areas.

That is exactly why so many clubs like him. Man United have been looking for a long-term solution on the left side, especially with ongoing uncertainty around their defensive options.

Jason Wilcox is reportedly a big admirer, and INEOS are said to like Hall’s progression, attacking support and defensive discipline.

Man United face competition from Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich’s interest may be the most dangerous for Newcastle. The German champions are already speaking to Newcastle about Anthony Gordon, and they have previously asked about Tino Livramento.

Now Hall is another name on their radar. Bayern want to strengthen at full-back, and Hall’s age, energy and ability to play multiple roles make him a very attractive option.

Reports have also said Newcastle are trying to protect their position by preparing improved terms for Hall.

Newcastle want to keep him, but the interest from Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich is real enough to create pressure.

Virtua Fighter 6 Crossroads Leaks Online With New Footage, Showcasing Incredible Animations Far Ahead Any Other Fighting Game

A close-up image shows a man in a hat being punched, with blood and water splattering, featuring the 'Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio' logo in the corner.

A new entry in the Virtua Fighter series has been in development for a while, but not much has been said about it yet. However, a new major online leak revealed that the game will be called Virtua Fighter 6 Crossroads while showing the first gameplay footage which was likely prepared for an imminent reveal. While the leaked video, available on Reddit, is rather short and of poor quality, it does an excellent job showcasing the game's impressive visuals. The animations, in particular, look incredibly advanced, far ahead of anything that we have seen in fighting games to date, delivering an unprecedented […]

Sources: Latest on Arsenal transfer plans, outgoings, and three new contracts

Arsenal are not standing still after winning the Premier League title, with some big-name transfer targets in mind for the summer, and some key contracts set to be sorted out.

The aim is that one major deal could be completed even before the start of this summer’s 2026 World Cup, with talks already at an advanced stage.

DOWNLOAD THE OFFICIAL CAUGHTOFFSIDE APP FOR ALL THE LATEST & BREAKING UPDATES – STRAIGHT TO YOUR PHONE! ON APPLE & GOOGLE PLAY

That deal is for Gunners defender Jurrien Timber, who looks to be the first in line to be rewarded with fresh terms, with his current deal due to expire in 2028.

This is no surprise, with talks heading in a positive direction since beginning back in October, despite some Bayern Munich interest in Timber, as I reported at the time.

What else is on the agenda at Arsenal this summer?

Regardless of what the outcome of the title race had been, it was always the plan to award manager Mikel Arteta with a bumper new contract. The Spanish tactician is set for a pay rise to make him one of the highest paid coaches in world football, whilst extending his stay at the Emirates Stadium beyond his current deal, which expires in 2027

Declan Rice set for new deal

Similarly to Timber, things have been looking good for a new contract for Declan Rice at Arsenal, despite no major hurry as he’s also on a deal until 2028. My understanding is that it’s not quite as advanced as Timber, but initial talks have taken place and have been very positive, so it could happen soon.

Arsenal eye attacking reinforcements

Even if Arsenal will feel their spending on new attacking players like Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze last summer ultimately did the job to deliver them the title, there’s still a recognition that it’s the one area that could really do with improvement. Julian Alvarez and Eli Junior Kroupi are the main two names being mentioned to me at the moment for that area of the squad.

Want more CaughtOffside coverage? Add us as a preferred source on Google to your favourites list for news you can trust

Outgoings planned

It could also be a major summer of departures at the Emirates, with my previous information being that big names like Ben White, Martin Odegaard, and Gabriel Martinelli are likely to be able to leave if the right offers come in.

Arsenal need to balance the books after last summer’s spending spree, so there will likely be some trimming down of the squad, plus the addition of one or two big signings rather than the same kind of emphasis on depth that we saw from the Gunners last summer.

Just In: Relegation struggle at Tottenham creates defensive opportunity for Barcelona

Barcelona are reportedly preparing to test Tottenham Hotspur’s resolve over Cristian Romero this summer, with the Argentine defender emerging as a serious defensive target for the La Liga champions.

The 28-year-old has been on Barcelona’s radar for a while, but Tottenham’s difficult season has made the situation even more interesting.

DOWNLOAD THE OFFICIAL CAUGHTOFFSIDE APP FOR ALL THE LATEST & BREAKING UPDATES – STRAIGHT TO YOUR PHONE! ON APPLE & GOOGLE PLAY

Spurs are still fighting to stay in the Premier League, and that could play a major role in Romero’s future.

Barcelona like the player, but they are not keen on paying the full €60 million figure currently being mentioned, according to Sport.

Reports in Spain have suggested Romero has a special clause around that price for certain La Liga clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona need a defender like Romero in their squad

Romero is exactly the kind of defender Barcelona could use. He is aggressive, experienced, comfortable defending high up the pitch and has already won major honours with Argentina.

He brings personality too, which matters in a back line that needs leaders as much as technical quality.

Want more CaughtOffside coverage? Add us as a preferred source on Google to your favourites list for news you can trust

Barcelona’s interest is not hard to understand. Hansi Flick’s side won La Liga, but they are still trying to build a team that can compete more consistently in Europe.

For that, they need defenders who can handle pressure, defend large spaces and play with intensity. Romero fits that description better than many options on the market.

The problem is the price. Tottenham value him highly, and even with their struggles, they are unlikely to let their captain go cheaply.

Tottenham are struggling with relegation fears

Barcelona, meanwhile, are still operating carefully in the transfer market. They may want Romero, but they do not want to get dragged into a deal that eats too much of their summer budget.

That is why Spurs’ relegation battle matters so much. If Tottenham stay up, they can demand closer to their valuation and argue that Romero remains central to their rebuild.

If they go down, everything changes. A player of Romero’s status is unlikely to want Championship football before a World Cup summer, and Tottenham’s negotiating position would weaken badly.

At €60 million, it is a big commitment for a 28-year-old centre-back with an aggressive playing style and recent injury concerns.

At a lower fee, especially if Tottenham are relegated, it becomes much more attractive.

For Romero, the move would make sense. He would be joining a title-winning team, playing Champions League football and moving to a league where his profile is already admired.

Liverpool could have edge over Tottenham in the race for €30 million utility man

Report: Manchester United star’s transfer to Euro giants could fall through for surprise reason

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho could reportedly see a potential transfer return to Borussia Dortmund fall through.

The 26-year-old is coming towards the end of a season-long loan spell at Aston Villa, but his lack of impact there could mean he has to find a new club this summer.

DOWNLOAD THE OFFICIAL CAUGHTOFFSIDE APP FOR ALL THE LATEST & BREAKING UPDATES – STRAIGHT TO YOUR PHONE! ON APPLE & GOOGLE PLAY

And although Dortmund were seemingly in the mix to sign Sancho for a third spell, it now looks like that won’t be happening, according to Sport Bild.

One surprise reason for this is that Dortmund are unsure about paying a transfer fee for Sancho, who could end up getting a contract extension at Old Trafford.

Although the former England international had been coming towards the end of his Man Utd deal making him a free agent this summer, the club could take up the option to extend that by one more year so they can make money from selling him.

Borussia Dortmund have Jadon Sancho concern

Perhaps if Sancho were available on a free, BVB would be willing to gamble on him, but his dip in form means paying a fee for him looks too risky.

Want more CaughtOffside coverage? Add us as a preferred source on Google to your favourites list for news you can trust

Sport Bild’s report suggests there are serious internal concerns at Dortmund about whether or not Sancho can get back to his best again.

The player had a superb spell at Dortmund as a youngster, making a name for himself in the Bundesliga before earning his big move to United in 2021.

Sancho flopped with the Red Devils, though, and ended up returning to Dortmund on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season.

Once again, Sancho really looked at home in that famous yellow and black kit, though his form suffered again with a loan spell at Chelsea, and then this season at Villa.

United would surely do well to just give up on Sancho now and let him leave for free rather than keeping this under-performing player with high wages on their books for another season.

Report confirms our info on Man City star being Bayern Munich transfer target

Manchester City defender John Stones is reportedly being considered as a summer transfer window target for Bayern Munich.

We first reported on this in February, with Bayern understood to already be working behind the scenes on signing Stones, even if things were still at an early stage.

We were recently given info on Stones again in the last few weeks, with Bayern still thought to be keen, along with other big clubs such as Juventus and AC Milan.

Now the Daily Mail are reporting similar, with the Allianz Arena described as likely being a strong pull for the experienced England international.

What next for John Stones as he nears free transfer?

Stones is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium this summer, and one imagines there’ll be a lot of interest in a top player who should still have plenty to offer at the highest level.

The 31-year-old may have fallen down the pecking order at City, but he could surely start for a lot of other Premier League clubs, while playing for Bayern could also work out well for him as they’re the dominant team in a less competitive league.

Interestingly, the Mail also links Stones with Barcelona and Coventry City, so it seems clear there will be a fairly broad range of options available to him this summer.

Summer of change at Man City

Of course, Stones’ departure won’t be the only big story of the summer for MCFC, who are also expected to bid farewell to legendary manager Pep Guardiola.

BBC Sport have been among the outlets claiming a decision looks to have been made for City to replace Guardiola with Enzo Maresca, and other players could also be heading out.

Bernardo Silva is also due to be out of contract, while there could even be the threat of losing Rodri to Real Madrid, according to Marca.

Two Euro giants eyeing Chelsea star – transfer would cause short-term pain but might be worth it

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are reportedly both interested in a potential transfer move for Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella this summer.

The Spain international has been a key player for the Blues and it’s perhaps not surprising that big clubs are keeping an eye on his situation after what has been a difficult and unhappy season at Stamford Bridge.

Cucurella is a long-term target for Atletico director Mateu Alemany, while Barcelona also retain an interest in him even if they might prioritise other positions for now, according to Sky Sports.

Chelsea have just lost the FA Cup final and are 8th in the Premier League table, so there could be some pressure to let big names leave this summer, but how big a blow would it be to lose Cucurella?

Marc Cucurella exit would be a blow, but could it help in the long run?

Even if Cucurella is a top player and one of the more experienced members of this CFC squad, there might be some logic in considering offers if clubs are willing to pay decent money for him.

While Chelsea fans will have found this season frustrating, it might be worth thinking about whether or not Cucurella is really the kind of character they want at their club to help them get out of this crisis.

When things got difficult, the 27-year-old publicly hit out at the club’s transfer strategy and even flirted with a move away – not the behaviour of a leader willing to do his bit for the cause.

Speaking to Marca, when asked about a possible move to Barcelona, he responded: “It would be difficult to refuse. It’s not just about me; I’d have to think about my family. If it happens, it happens, and we’ll see what decision is made.

“You always think about going back. I’m very happy there, and so is my family. I’ll leave it for a few years from now.”

What Marc Cucurella said about Chelsea’s transfer strategy

In a separate interview with the Athletic, Cucurella also hit out at the direction the club had taken, saying: “I understand this is part of the club’s policy, and that they want to take this direction — signing young players and looking to the future. But, for all of us who are still here and want to win big things, moments like this make you feel discouraged.

“We have a good core of players. The foundations are there. But to fight for major trophies such as the Premier League or the Champions League, you need more.”

Even if these are all things that many Chelsea fans themselves would also have said, it’s surely better for the team’s players to keep this sort of stuff in-house?

It will be interesting to see what happens with Cucurella this summer, but it may well be that the Blues are better off getting rid of someone whose first instinct is to complain and fuel transfer speculation when things get tough.

Man United looking to make statement signing with €70m Barcelona transfer hijack

Alessandro Bastoni has been linked with a move away from Inter Milan at the end of the season, and Manchester United are now interested in signing him.

Barcelona were hoping to secure his signature, but they have not been able to get the deal done yet. Manchester United have now entered the race, and they are prepared to outmuscle Barcelona in the race for the Italian International.

Man United keen on Alessandro Bastoni

Manchester United are looking to improve the defence, and the 27-year-old could be the ideal acquisition. According to reports from Spain, he could cost around €70 million, and Barcelona might struggle to afford him. They are facing financial difficulties and will not be able to compete with Manchester United financially.

The Red Devils have secured Champions League qualification, and they will look to plug the gaps in their team this summer. They will look to compete with top clubs next year, and they need elite players. Bastoni is one of the best defenders in Europe, and he could help Manchester United improve immensely.

Man United move could be ideal for Bastoni

At 27, he’s at the peak of his powers, and the €70 million asking price seems reasonable for a player of his quality and experience in today’s market. He should be able to justify the investment.

Meanwhile, he helped Inter Milan secure the league title this season, and he is a key player for them. They will not want to lose someone like him easily. It remains to be seen how they react if Manchester United come forward with a €70 million offer for him.

The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be exciting for the Italian international defender. Barcelona will be an attractive destination as well, but the deal looks unlikely for them due to financial constraints.

Pep Guardiola exit could lead to crucial Man City star leaving the club for Real Madrid

Rodri’s future at Manchester City is suddenly becoming one of the biggest stories of the summer.

According to Marca, the 29-year-old midfielder would be keen on a move to Real Madrid if the opportunity becomes serious, and that willingness could make negotiations much easier for the Spanish giants.

Rodri still has a contract with Manchester City until 2027, so this is not a simple free-transfer situation.

City remain in a strong position, but the mood around the club has changed dramatically because Pep Guardiola is widely expected to leave after a decade in charge.

Pep Guardiola expected to leave Man City soon

Guardiola has publicly refused to fully confirm his departure, saying he still needs to speak with Khaldoon Al Mubarak and Ferran Soriano, but reports claim he has already informed the City squad of his decision.

Real Madrid’s interest in Rodri makes total sense. They are preparing for a new era under Jose Mourinho, and defensive midfield is one of the positions they want to strengthen.

Mourinho’s teams have always relied on control, discipline and players who understand how to manage big matches. Rodri fits that perfectly.

He is not just a ball-winner. He is the player who sets the rhythm, protects the defence, keeps possession under pressure and gives a team authority in midfield.

At Man City, he has been one of Guardiola’s most important players. When Rodri plays, City usually look calmer and more complete. When he is missing, the difference is obvious.

Rodri could consider his future at Etihad Stadium

That is why this situation is so interesting. If Guardiola leaves, Rodri may start to ask whether the project still feels the same.

City are also expected to lose other senior figures, including Bernardo Silva, which could make the dressing room feel very different next season.

Reports in Spain have suggested that Guardiola’s departure could encourage Real Madrid to test City’s resolve, especially if Rodri is genuinely open to the move.

City would obviously prefer to renew him, but if he does not extend, they may face a difficult decision rather than risk his value dropping further.

Rodri is 29, Spanish, already a Ballon d’Or winner, and has won almost everything at club level in England. If he ever wants to play for Real Madrid, this might be the perfect moment.

Two Arsenal players named who face losing out on Premier League winners’ medal

Arsenal have finally ended their long wait for a Premier League title, but not every player in Mikel Arteta’s squad is automatically guaranteed a winner’s medal.

That might sound strange when football is a squad game, but Premier League rules are pretty clear: a player must make at least five league appearances in a title-winning season to be guaranteed a medal.

DOWNLOAD THE OFFICIAL CAUGHTOFFSIDE APP FOR ALL THE LATEST & BREAKING UPDATES – STRAIGHT TO YOUR PHONE! ON APPLE & GOOGLE PLAY

That requirement used to be 10 appearances before it was reduced.

Arsenal are officially champions for the first time since 2004 after Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth ended the title race.

The Gunners will lift the trophy after their final league game against Crystal Palace, but behind the celebrations, the medal situation creates an interesting little subplot.

Arsenal goalkeeper to miss out on a winners’ medal

The most high-profile player at risk of missing out automatically is Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to Sport Bible.

The Spanish goalkeeper joined Arsenal from Chelsea for around £5 million and has played 11 times this season, but most of those appearances have come in cup competitions.

Want more CaughtOffside coverage? Add us as a preferred source on Google to your favourites list for news you can trust

In the Premier League, he has not featured at all because David Raya has been ever-present in goal and has gone on to win the Golden Glove.

That puts Arsenal in an unusual position. Kepa has clearly been part of the squad, has trained all season, has travelled with the team and has contributed behind the scenes.

But because he has not played in the league, he does not meet the automatic medal requirement.

Another name mentioned is 16-year-old defender Marli Salmon. He has played four times across all competitions, but none of those appearances have come in the Premier League.

That means he also does not qualify automatically. For a young player, that is not exactly a disaster.

Simply being around a title-winning squad at 16 is already a huge experience. But it still shows how strict the medal rules can be.

The Premier League gives champions 40 medals, and clubs can distribute them to players, the manager and officials as they see fit.

However, every player who has made at least five league appearances must receive one first.

Gunners can request additional medals

Additional medals beyond the allocated number need Premier League Board approval and are generally only granted in specific circumstances.

He may not have played in the league, but backup goalkeepers are part of the dressing room every day. They push the No.1, prepare seriously, keep standards high and are always one injury away from being needed.

Kepa should be recognised if possible. Arsenal’s success has been built on the full squad, not only the players who appeared every week.

A Premier League medal would be a fair reward for being part of the group that finally brought the title back to North London.

Mourinho decision could help Liverpool land 23-year-old after “lot of background work”

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months.

We have covered reports stating Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing the 23-year-old French international.

Now, a report from Defensa Central claims that Jose Mourinho is looking to sanction the departure of the French international. The development will come as a huge boost for Liverpool and Manchester United. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.

Liverpool needs someone who can protect the back four and win the ball back for the side in the middle of the park. They are lacking a specialist defensive midfielder, and Camavinga would be an excellent addition. He is a young player with a lot of potential, and he could develop into a star in the Premier League.

There have been reports that Liverpool have done a lot of background work” on the player.

Furthermore, Manchester United is in need of someone with his skill set. Casemiro has decided to leave the club in the summer, and they will need to replace the Brazilian international. The 23-year-old Real Madrid star could be the ideal acquisition.

It will be interesting to see whether Real Madrid is willing to sanction his departure for a reasonable fee. Liverpool and Manchester United will need to improve multiple areas of their squad, and they cannot afford to overspend on the French midfielder.

Camavinga will look to get his career back on track as well. Moving to the Premier League could be ideal for him. He will play regularly with Liverpool or Manchester United, and it will help him fulfil his potential.

Report: Mourinho wants to raid Man United to strengthen Real Madrid’s attack

Marcus Rashford’s future has suddenly become a lot more interesting.

The Manchester United forward is currently on loan at Barcelona, where he has helped Hansi Flick’s side win La Liga, but Real Madrid may now be ready to enter the picture in dramatic fashion.

Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Rashford if he completes his expected return to Real Madrid, according to Sport.

Mourinho’s comeback to the Bernabeu has not been officially announced by the club, but the expectation around Spain is that he is set to replace Alvaro Arbeloa after Madrid’s disappointing season.

Reuters reported that Mourinho has confirmed his agent is in contact with Real Madrid, although he said there was no formal offer at that stage.

Could Rashford move to Real Madrid?

Rashford’s situation is complicated because Barcelona still have a big say.

He joined the Catalan club on loan from Man United, and there is an option to buy him permanently.

Want more CaughtOffside coverage? Add us as a preferred source on Google to your favourites list for news you can trust

Reports have put that buy option at around €30 million, although some sources have claimed Barcelona are trying to renegotiate the structure rather than simply trigger the clause straight away.

That hesitation could open the door for Real Madrid. If Mourinho really wants Rashford, he may see this as a rare chance to create a double blow: strengthen Madrid while also hurting Barcelona’s plans.

Rashford has done enough in Spain to make the move believable too.

The most dramatic moment of Rashford’s Barcelona spell came in El Clasico. He scored a free-kick in a 2-0 win over Real Madrid that sealed Barcelona’s 29th La Liga title, which makes the idea of him joining Madrid even spicier.

Man United want to offload the English attacker

From Man United’s side, the situation may be fairly simple.

Rashford is under contract until 2028 and remains on huge wages, so United will want a clear financial solution rather than another messy temporary arrangement.

If Barcelona delay or try to lower the fee, United may be happy to listen to other clubs.

Would it make footballing sense? Maybe. Rashford’s pace, direct running and ability to attack space could be useful for Madrid, especially if Mourinho wants a more transitional, explosive attack.

But Madrid also need to be careful. Rashford can be streaky, and if he arrives as a headline signing, the pressure would be enormous.

Man United receive major boost to sign high priority attacking target for €60-70million

Top quarterback recruits in the 2027 Rivals300 rankings

top quarterback recruits

The 2027 recruiting cycle is chock-full of elite quarterback prospects.

After a busy spring filled with camps and visits, the Rivals300 rankings updated last month. Of the top 300 recruits featured in the new rankings, 19 are QBs.

Nearly all of those passers are already committed, too. Of those 19 quarterbacks, all but one — four-star Dane Weber — are off the board, as of May 18. Weber himself is also closing in on a commitment.

Flip season will be here soon and the coaching carousel will surely lead to some decisions getting revisited. But as of right now, there aren’t many dominoes left to fall. Rivals is breaking down the top QBs in the updated 2027 Rivals300:

1. Will Mencl — Oregon commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 13 NATL.
School: Chandler (Ariz.)

Scouting Summary: Hyper-accurate passer who looks like one of the more well-rounded quarterback prospects in the 2027 cycle. Measured in at around 6-foot-3, 205 pounds with 10-inch hands prior to his senior season. Turned in a strong finish to his junior season, completing over 70% of his passes for 3,815 yards and 33 touchdowns against five interceptions while leading his team to a state title berth. Touts smooth mechanics. A high-level processor who is able to locate open receivers and read defender leverage. Made tough throws over the middle of the field as a junior. Also proved to be a dangerous run threat on designed keepers, rushing for 741 yards and 17 scores. Turned in the best showing from a quarterback on the national all-star circuit at the Navy All-American Bowl prior to his senior season. Will need to continue gaining key in-game experience throughout the rest of his high school career. Arm strength is good but not overwhelming at this stage. Well-rounded overall skillset makes him one of the more high-floor quarterback prospects in the 2027 class.

2. Jake Nawrot — Kentucky commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 27 NATL.
School: John Hersey (Ill.)

Scouting Summary: Instinctual quarterback prospect with the passing skill and physical traits to make him one of the top passers in the 2027 cycle. Measured at around 6-foot-3, 200 pounds with 10-inch hands prior to his senior season. First year starter as a junior who exploded on the scene, turning in one of the best seasons of his top-ranked peers, completing 71.1% of his passes for 3,078 yards and a state best 41 touchdown passes against 2 interceptions. Has a high-end combination of arm strength and accuracy. Able to push the ball downfield without much strain and generates easy velocity in the camp setting. Has a tight, replicable release that allows for consistent ball placement. Plays with an innate feel on Friday nights. A fluid, natural mover in his lower body, making for coordinated footwork and mechanics. Slides in the pocket to avoid pressure. Steps up and takes hits while delivering strikes over the middle of the field Put more difficult throws on junior film than any other top quarterback prospect in the cycle. Capable of picking up yards when the play breaks down, rushing for 8 scores as a junior. Doubles as a good high school basketball player and spent much of his early high school career on the hardwood. Had a fantastic debut season, but will need to continue banking valuable in-game reps as he continues developing.

3. Israel Abrams — Miami commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 44 NATL.
School: Montini Catholic (Ill.)

Scouting Summary: Strong-armed quarterback with a quick release and the ability to drive the football to all levels of the field. Has a long, lean build, measuring in at north of 6-foot-4, and around 190 pounds with a 9.75-inch hand prior to his senior season. Plays with a discernible twitch as a passer. Looks to have one of the stronger arms in the 2027 cycle. Touts a quick release, showing the ability to get the football up and out in a flash. Rips far hash throws with ease, allowing his offense to access the full width of the field at multiple levels. Bouncy mover in the pocket with quick feet. Steps up in the pocket and makes second-reaction plays when pressured. Comfortable delivering off-platorm and does not require an established base. A problem-solver on improvisational plays. Turned in a very productive junior season, completing 68.5% of his passes for 4,072 yards and 40 touchdowns with six interceptions, while leading his team to its second consecutive state title. Also a quality athlete who can pick up yards with his legs, running for 10 more touchdowns as a junior. Will need to continue getting bigger and stronger as he moves to the next level. Can also work on polishing his overall mechanics and consistency. The combination of physical ability and production on Friday nights makes him one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 cycle.

4. Keegan Croucher — Ole Miss commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 50 NATL.
School: Baylor School (Tenn.)

Scouting Summary: Big-framed quarterback who is among the top pure arm talents in the 2027 cycle. Measured at around 6-foot-4, 205 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand prior to his senior season. Has a smooth, easy throwing motion and effortlessly drives the football to multiple levels. Touts a quick release and generates palpable velocity. Shows the ability to make high-level throws from in and out of structure on film. Drives the football into tight windows and can take the top off with his downfield arm strength. A quality athlete who tests well at his size. Athleticism and size make him tough to bring down in the pocket. Shows improvisational ability and is capable of making ‘wow’ throws on the move. Originally from upstate New York and transferred to Cheshire Academy in Connecticut for his sophomore and junior seasons before transferring to national power Baylor School in Chattanooga as a senior. Completed 69.1% of his passes for 1692 yards and 16 touchdowns against six interceptions as a junior. Production was on the lower end of top 2027 quarterback prospects, but was not in an offense with a productive passing game in those seasons. Has a multi-sport background from his original home high school as a basketball and baseball player. Needs to add consistency and production to his resume as a senior, but has one of the higher upsides among the 2027 quarterback group with continued improvement given his high-end tools.

5. Trae Taylor — Nebraska commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 71 NATL.
School: Millard South (Neb.)

Scout’s Take: “Trae Taylor set the pace in an extremely deep quarterback group at Rivals Nashville. The Nebraska commit has made strides over the past year adding size and strength to his frame. Taylor flashed a strong arm in each period and station throughout the day. The ability to throw with both velocity and touch stood out within the quarterback group. In 1-on-1’s Taylor stuck the ball on wide receivers, giving the pass-catchers chances to make a play even against tight coverage. Taylor ranks as a top five quarterback prospect in the Rivals300 and has strung together several positive performances this spring.” — Charles Power, Rivals Director of Scouting and Rankings

6. Kavian Bryant — Texas Tech commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 73 NATL.
School: Westwood (Texas)

Scout’s Take: “Bryant is one of the most physically and athletically gifted prospects in the country and we were able to see it during his workout at Rivals Houston. His comfort and natural arm action as a passer while on the move allows him to drive the ball with velocity, even if he is unable to get his feet underneath him. The ball flies off of his hand and throws the deep ball with little to no effort, even when pushing it 50-plus yards downfield. He showed that he has one of the strongest arms in the cycle. And even with a couple misfires during the individual period, Bryant still showed improvement in his ability to layer the football and deliver the ball with touch since the end of his junior season. He proved on Sunday that he’s not only one of the top athletes in the country, but one of the top passers as well.” — Cody Bellaire, Rivals National Scout

7. Elijah Haven — Alabama commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 96 NATL.
School: Dunham School (La.)

On his commitment“Coach DeBoer is a great guy and an amazing coach. He produces at the QB level and he’s done a great job of that. With Ty (Simpson) this year, they did a helluva job this season. Coach DeBoer is the leading factor of that, and that definitely is reassuring to have a head coach in that position and also to be able to lead the quarterbacks in that way.” — Haven to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman:

8. Blake Roskopf — Washington commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 101 NATL.
School: Desert Edge (Ariz.)

Scout’s Take: “Blake Roskopf has the look of a riser coming out of his junior season at Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge. He’s a jumbo quarterback at around 6-foot-5, 230-pounds and touts one of the stronger arms in the cycle. While Roskopf easily generates impressive velocity, we’re most impressed with his ability to get the ball up and out with a snappy, quick release. He cut down on turnovers and increased his production year over year.” — Charles Power, Rivals Director of Scouting and Rankings

9. Peter Bourque — Virginia Tech commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 107 NATL.
School: Tabor Academy (Mass.)

Scout’s Take: Peter Bourque was the standout among a quarterback group that had a fairly rocky weekend overall at OT7. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder was the clear top passer on Saturday, leading his team to several tight wins. Bourque flashed a live arm, with the ability to generate considerable velocity to every level of the field – with accuracy. He made a number of impressive tight-window throws and played with quality timing.” — Charles Power, Rivals Director of Scouting and Rankings

10. Kamden Lopati — Michigan commit

Rivals300 Ranking: No. 115 NATL.
School: West (Utah)

Scouting Summary: Lopati is one of the top quarterbacks in the national ’27 class. He’s a big frame quarterback who has actually slimmed down over the last year and has a solid 6-foot-3, 215 pound frame. A pure thrower with some under-rated athleticism and has shown he can stress a defense with his arm and his legs. For his size, he moves well and shows some real dual-threat ability. Has been highly productive the last two seasons, throwing for over 5,600 yards and nearly 60 touchdowns. Will take his shots down the field and has the arm strength to throws the deep outs and posts on a rope. Moves well in the pocket and shows the quickness to get outside and elude the rush and throws very well on the run. Rushed for 730 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior and is a zone read threat who a defense has to respect. Can continue to improve his ability to process the game and be quicker with his reads but has made strides in those area over the last two years and his game is trending in the right direction. A definite high Power 4 prospect with an NFL ceiling.

Other quarterbacks in the 2027 Rivals300

11. Davin Davidson — Florida commit
12. Kharim Hughley — Clemson commit
13. Peyton Houston — LSU commit
14. Jamison Roberts — Oklahoma commit
15. Andre Adams — Colorado commit

16. Jack Sorgi — Wisconsin commit

Who are the Big-Name Free Agents Expected to Sign For This Summer?

The 2025/26 season is barrelling toward its conclusion, and when the curtain finally does come down on the campaign, a number of the planet’s biggest-name players will be free to join a new team following the expiry of their contract.

Last summer, the free agency headlines were dominated by Canadian striker Jonathan David. The pacey hitman made headlines with former club Lille as he fired over 100 goals in five seasons in France, even helping the club pip heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain to the Ligue 1 crown in 2021.

So, which names are set to dominate the headlines this summer? Well, a slew of huge names have all confirmed that they will be leaving their current clubs when their contracts expire on June 30th. Bernardo Silva will be bringing the curtain down on his Manchester City career after nine trophy-laden years with the club. Leon Goretzka will also leave Bayern Munich after eight years and over 300 appearances. So, where are they likely to be headed this summer, and which other names could be on the move? Let’s take a look.

Ibrahima Konaté

Last season, Liverpool were embroiled in another free agency nightmare as boyhood Red Trent Alexander-Arnold refused to commit to a new contract and ultimately joined Real Madrid, much to the ire of the Anfield faithful. This summer, it’s centre back Ibrahima Konaté who looks poised to leave the club for free. The former RB Leipzig defender has yet to make a statement on his future, and current manager Arne Slot still has hopes that the Frenchman will remain on Merseyside. Real Madrid, however, are lurking once again.

Los Blancos have been rumoured to be interested in Konaté for much of the season, and it seems that the 26-year-old’s poor form this term hasn’t put them off. The Spanish giants are no strangers to blockbuster free transfers, having signed the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Antonio Rüdiger, and David Alaba for absolutely nothing in recent seasons. Liverpool’s centre back could be next on their hit list, but firstly, the France international has the small matter of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to deal with. Online betting sites make Konaté and Les Bleus genuine contenders to leave MetLife Stadium with the famous gold trophy on July 19th. The latest odds from Ozoon Sportsbook position them as an 11/2 second-favourite to be crowned World Champions, and Konaté is likely to be imperative to any success that Didier Deschamps’ men have at the heart of the defence alongside Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano. Whether his future is resolved before the tournament kicks off on June 11th, however, remains to be seen.

Bernardo Silva

Another man headed to the World Cup this summer is Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, and we already know that once the tournament concludes, he won’t be returning to the Etihad Stadium. The Portuguese international confirmed in April that he wouldn’t be renewing his contract to remain with the Blues beyond June 30th, and now he is aiming to sign off after nine long years with a seventh Premier League title.

Barcelona has long flirted with the idea of signing Bernardo. The Blaugrana have pursued the former Monaco man on no fewer than three occasions in the past, coming closest to landing him in the summer of 2022 before Pep Guardiola insisted that his attacking midfielder remained at the Etihad. This summer, however, the Portuguese technician is free to leave, and Catalonia looks like the most likely destination, although both Juventus and Galatasaray are also thought to be interested.

Dušan Vlahović

Dušan Vlahović was supposed to be Juventus’ answer to their striking problems. The Bianconeri forked out some €70m to secure his services from fellow Italian outfit Fiorentina on his 22nd birthday in January 2022, and there were huge expectations for the Serbian hitman. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to live up to them. The former Partizan Belgrade youngster hasn’t been able to clear 20 goals in any of his five seasons in Turin, culminating in him netting just eight goals this season, the lowest tally of his entire Allianz Stadium tenure.

His current contract expires on June 30th, and much like Konaté and Liverpool, a parting of ways isn’t yet confirmed. In fact, it’s widely expected that he will indeed pen a new deal on reduced terms to remain with Juventus, but if the two parties fail to come to an agreement, then both Barcelona and Chelsea will likely make their move.

Leon Goretzka

Leon Goretzka became the most sought-after central midfielder in the world when he announced he wouldn’t be renewing his contract with Schalke eight years ago. Fast forward to 2026, and the German international is once again set to be on the move. The 31-year-old confirmed in January that he would be leaving Bavaria at the end of the current season, and now several of Europe’s biggest names are all on the hunt to secure the signing of one of the modern game’s most experienced midfield men.

Current Premier League leaders Arsenal are seemingly at the front of the queue, potentially adding Goretzka to a midfield that already contains the likes of Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, and Mikel Merino. Inter Milan are also thought to be on the prowl.
