Samsung Collection app gets major upgrade in One UI 8.5
Samsungβs One UI 8.5 Beta Program is currently live for the Galaxy S25 series in limited countries. Along with several new features, the One UI 8.5 update improves system apps to add new features and enhancements. Samsung Collection app is getting significant upgrades with One UI 8.5.
The Samsung Collection is a special feature on Galaxy phones that lets users save and organize text, images, websites, and other content. Currently, the app is only available in select regions, including China.
One UI 8.5 update reportedly brings several useful changes to Samsung Collection. A new floating bar appears at the bottom of the app to make navigation faster and easier. The Sets grid now looks similar to Gallery albums and Samsung Internet tabs for a cleaner and more modern design. Users can now save multiple clips in one set and rename sets as they like.
Moreover, links are shown in a card-style view with a website thumbnail. By tapping on a link, it opens directly in the browser. It means you donβt need to follow several steps.
Galaxy AI also works better in this update. When saving content, the app can automatically create tags and summaries. These tags appear below the clips and in the Search section to make it simpler to find content later. Even the Search section has also been improved with new categories and a revamped UI.
Users can now listen to saved text with play, pause, forward, and backward controls, as a text-to-speech feature has been added. This is an amazing feature for reviewing long notes.
Although Samsung has not announced plans to release Collection globally, this update makes the app more useful and easier to use. One UI 9, based on Android 17, is expected to bring these new features to more Galaxy devices.
