Samsung is preparing a new budget 5G phone, the Galaxy M07 5G, which is expected to launch next year. This phone will be the successor to the Galaxy M06 5G and is included in Samsung’s popular, affordable smartphone lineup.

The Galaxy M07 5G has appeared on Samsung’s internal test servers in India and Nepal with the build number M076BXXU0AYL1. Certification records in India (BIS) confirm it will support dual SIM, with the model number SM-M076B/DS.

Earlier, the phone was also spotted on Bluetooth SIG, which shows Samsung is actively testing it before launch. At the moment, the official support pages have not appeared for this smartphone, but the device seems to be closer to release.

The Galaxy M07 5G is expected to be similar to its 4G version, with the main upgrade being 5G connectivity. It will reportedly feature a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. The battery could be upgraded from 5,000mAh to 6,000mAh, following the Galaxy A07 5G, which also has a 6,000mAh battery. 

Moreover, the device will include a 50MP main camera, IP54 dust and water resistance, and 25W fast charging. On the software side, it should run Android 16 with One UI 8, with an update to One UI 8.5 likely in the first half of 2026.

Samsung has confirmed a software issue affecting the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones. After updating to the One UI 8 update, some users are experiencing issues with a useful feature – Continue App Use. Samsung is moving forward with the development of One UI 8.5, and new information indicates that internal testing for this major update has begun for additional Galaxy devices. Government decisions are also affecting demand. The US government recently allowed Nvidia to export its H200 AI chip to China. Since the H200 uses HBM3E, this approval has pushed demand even higher, which causes prices of both 12-layer and 8-layer HBM products to rise.

Samsung is trying to increase supply by converting some NAND flash production lines into DRAM lines. However, this takes time and cannot solve the shortage right away.

Samsung is preparing new technology for its future smartphones, starting with the Galaxy S26 series. The company has introduced a new 5G modem, the Exynos Modem 5410. This modem is expected to work with Samsung’s latest processor, the Exynos 2600.

The Exynos 2600 is the world’s first smartphone chip made using a 2nm process. This chip differs from earlier Exynos processors in that it does not include a built-in modem. To handle mobile networks, Samsung has designed a separate modem instead.

The Galaxy TriFold is Samsung‘s latest innovation, as this foldable phone comes with two hinges and a big 10-inch screen that folds into a pocket-sized device. Recently, we have seen a real durability test of this smartphone’s dual hinge. Now, popular YouTuber JerryRigEverything has put the phone through a rigorous test to find out its overall durability.

Out of the box, the TriFold comes with many warnings like don’t press hard on the screen, keep it away from dust, and always fold starting with the non-camera panel. Jerry ignored this a little and tested the flap with the camera. The phone started to vibrate and change colors as it folded, as this is a safety feature built into the hinges.

The phone has an outer 6.5-inch display made of Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. It scratches at a medium level (6-7 on the Mohs scale), which is normal for most high-end phones. The inner 10-inch flexible screen is much softer. It scratches easily with fingernails, keys, or coins. The back panels scratched more easily but did not shatter.

Samsung claims the Z TriFold can withstand 200,000 folds, roughly 100 folds per day over five years. During testing, the dual hinges performed well. The device’s sensors made folding easier and safer.

Heat resistance was another test. A direct flame was applied to the screens, with the exterior panel lasting 17 seconds before discoloration, and the inner flexible display burning after only 10 seconds. Samsung rates the phone as IP48 for water and dust, but real-time testing shows even a little dirt can get inside and affect the folding mechanism.

During bending and pressure tests, the phone flexed and even broke under strong force. The hinges themselves are strong, but the frame and panels are fragile. This test shows that the phone is not for rough handling.

This durability test shows that the Galaxy Z TriFold is an impressive phone. If handled carefully, it can be one of the most exciting and unique phones on the market today.

Today, Xiaomi launched its new flagship phone, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. This year, the company skipped the Xiaomi 16 Ultra and directly launched the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. With this smartphone, the company wants to compete with Apple’s iPhone 17 series and Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra is quite slim, only 8.29mm thick, and has a metal frame with shiny edges and separate round volume buttons. But it is not as thin as the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is 5.8mm, or the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is 8.2mm. The new Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be even slimmer.

Moreover, Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a 6.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2608 x 1200, a 420 PPI density, and brightness up to 3500 nits. It supports a 1 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. 

The phone has a 1-inch main sensor made with Leica for better low-light photos. There is also a 200MP zoom lens that can zoom between 75mm and 100mm without losing quality. A 50MP ultra-wide lens captures a wide view and supports close-up shots.

The 6800mAh battery is the largest ever in a Xiaomi Ultra, supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, as well as reverse charging. It is also very strong against water and dust with IP68, IP66, and IP69 ratings.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes in four colors – white, black, cool purple, and starry green. It will go on sale in China on December 27. The phone comes with 12GB or 16GB RAM and storage up to 1TB. The price starts at 6999 yuan ($995) and goes higher for bigger RAM and storage.

Samsung has developed a new type of battery called a Silicon-Carbon (Si-C) battery, but it’s not for phones. Many people have been waiting for Samsung to put this battery in Galaxy smartphones because Si-C batteries can last longer and charge faster than normal lithium-ion batteries. However, even the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will still use a regular lithium-ion battery.

The new Silicon-Carbon battery is not for phones or tablets. It is created for electric vehicles (EVs). Samsung’s battery division, Samsung SDI, has joined hands with KG Mobility, a South Korean car company, to make advanced battery packs for future electric cars.

These batteries use Samsung SDI’s 46-series cylindrical cells. They include high-nickel NCA cathodes and a special silicon-carbon anode developed by Samsung. The aim is to make batteries more powerful, safer, and longer-lasting for electric vehicles.
