Samsung expands One UI 8.5 testing to Galaxy Tab S8 and S9
Samsung has already started testing One UI 8.5 on several Galaxy devices, and now two more devices have been added to this list. These devices are the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S9. It means Samsung has begun preparing a major update for these devices.
The first One UI 8.5 testing builds have been spotted for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Tab S8. This shows that Samsung is moving forward with One UI 8.5 development for Galaxy devices, as more devices are regularly included in the One UI 8.5 internal testing.
The first testing builds are:
- Galaxy Tab S8 – X900XXU9EYL1
- Galaxy Tab S9 – X910XXU5EYL2

Samsung started the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy S25 series in limited countries earlier this month. With the second phase rollout, Samsung made this beta update available in two more countries. Samsung might soon expand this update to more Galaxy devices, including flagship tablets.
However, Samsung hasn’t confirmed the Beta Program expansion for more devices, but if we follow the previous rollout pattern, it is expected to happen soon. Samsung has also confirmed that One UI 8.5 will make its stable debut with the Galaxy S26 series next year.
Currently, these new testing builds show that Samsung is regularly testing this major update for more Galaxy devices. This means Samsung is not only focusing on flagship models for this update but is also working in the background on updates for more devices. Stay tuned for more information.
