YouTube is testing a new way for people to give feedback on Shorts. Right now, there are two ways to show you don’t like a Short – the Dislike button and the Not interested option. YouTube is working on combining them into one thumbs-down button.

The new button won’t appear on the main video screen. Instead, it will be hidden behind the three-dot menu. Depending on the test, it might show as Dislike or Not interested, but either way, it works the same. The aim is to make it easier for users to control what shows up in their Shorts feed.

This isn’t the first time YouTube has tried changing the Dislike button on Shorts. Last year, some users saw the button moved into the menu instead of on the main video screen.

Samsung is planning a new step for its next foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, expected to launch next year. The company is reportedly considering its own processor, Exynos 2600, for the Galaxy Z Flip 8 smartphone instead of Qualcomm.

According to information via @jukan05, Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) division is talking with its chip-making teams about using the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy Z Flip 8. This new chip is reportedly powerful enough for high-end smartphones and has already passed internal performance tests.

Earlier this year, Samsung had already taken a step towards Exynos. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 used the Exynos 2500 chip. Before that, most Flip models used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. As Exynos chips improved over time, Samsung is now moving forward by using them in premium devices. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to continue this same path.

The  Exynos 2600 is said to perform quite well, mainly in artificial intelligence tasks like image processing and smart features. Samsung is moving quickly in the new AI memory market known as SOCAM2, which is now starting to attract strong industry attention. With AI data centers growing rapidly, demand for more efficient memory is increasing. Samsung is positioning itself early in this emerging market.

Today, Samsung announced that it has developed SOCAM2 and has begun shipping samples to customers. The company did not name the customer, but industry sources believe it is NVIDIA.

NVIDIA has been leading efforts to introduce SOCAM for future AI servers. Sending samples shows that development has reached an important stage.

SOCAM uses LPDDR low-power memory, which consumes less electricity than HBM. It does not offer the same high speed, but it is more energy efficient and costs less to produce. SOCAM is seen as a practical solution for AI servers and high-performance computing systems.

Samsung has announced 500 US schools as semi-finalists in its 16th annual Solve for Tomorrow competition. The program encourages students in grades 6 to 12 to use STEM skills to solve problems they see in their own communities. Teams were selected from thousands of entries across all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

This year, many students are using new technologies, including AI, robotics, and sustainable tech. Some of the projects include AI tools to help care for older people, drones to help in emergencies during natural disasters, and AR experiences to protect cultural heritage.

Technology played a big role in the competition. About 83% of the projects used emerging tech in some form. Nearly 40% of teams worked with AI or machine learning, while others used 3D printing and IoT tools.

All 500 teams will receive support to continue building their ideas. One hundred teams will earn a $10,000 prize package of Samsung technology and move on to the next round. The remaining 400 teams will receive a $1,000 grant. Altogether, Samsung is offering $2 million in prizes this year.
