Slovenia June 2026: Tesla Model 3 leads, Renault Twingo inside Top 10

13 July 2026 at 14:09

The Slovenian new car market shoots up 29.8% year-on-year in June to 6,684 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 17.3% to 35,343. Volkswagen (+17.9%) stays atop the brands charts at 12.9% share ahead of Renault (+0.5%) at 12%. Tesla (+323.6%) surges 21 spots on May to land at #3 overall with an exceptional 9.4% share, both records beating the previous best of #4 and 6.2% reached last March. The American brand now ranks #9 year-to-date vs. #16 over the Full Year 2025. Skoda (+0.7%) falls to #4 but remains #2 year-to-date. Opel (+100%), Ford (+39.2%) and Dacia (+38.6%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Leapmotor is the best-selling recent brand launch at #17 but is down five ranks on last month.

Model-wise, the Tesla Model 3 (+954.3%) is up 10-fold year-on-year to snap its second ever Slovenian win after last March and smashes its share record at 7.3%. The Renault Clio (-27.3%) is in complete freefall but manages to climb back up to #2 and to the #1 YTD place. The Renault Captur (-17.3%) and Skoda Octavia (-20.6%) also suffer greatly. In contrast the Ford Kuga (+182.4%), Peugeot 2008 (+92.2%) and VW Tiguan (+36.9%) all have a great month below. Produced locally, the new Renault Twingo is up 30 spots on last month to break into the Slovenian Top 10 at #8. This is believed to be the first Top 10 ranking for the new retro-styled vehicles, as it ranks #15 at home in France this month. The Telsa Model Y (+39.2%) and VW T-Roc (+45.2%) complete the Top 10 in solid fashion.

Previous month: Slovenia May 2026: Renault Clio leads, Leapmotor up to #12 brand

One year ago: Slovenia June 2025: Renault Clio and Captur now in the YTD lead

Turkiye June 2026: Renault Boreal lands at #7

10 July 2026 at 08:25

The Renault Boreal is an instant blockbuster in Turkiye.

The Turkish new light vehicle market recedes -11.4% year-on-year in June to 105,041 units, leading to a H1 2026 tally down -8.2% on a record H1 2025 total to 558,179. Once again Renault (+55.7%) goes completely agains the market with a stellar YoY uptick. It is followed by Fiat (-2.4%) improving its share to 9.3% and Volkswagen (-26.7%) in trouble. Peugeot (-10.8%) and Citroen (-12.4%) evolve roughly around the market evolution but Toyota (-19.8%) falls faster at #6. Local EV maker Togg (+45.4%) surges ahead to repeat at #9 with Hyundai (+15.2%) the only additional gainer in the Top 10. Contrary to most of worldwide markets, Tesla is off -94.5% to #30 this month.

The Renault Clio (+22.4%) remains the most popular vehicle in the country but is threatened by the Fiat Egea Sedan (+34.9%) ending the month just 65 units below. The Renault Megane Sedan (+7.9%) is down one spot on May to #3 but stays at #2 year-to-date. The Togg T10X (-5.3%) is up to #4 but falls year-on-year while the Toyota Corolla (+40.2%) rounds out the Top 5 ahead of the Renault Duster (+180.1%). The event of the month is the arrival directly at #7 by the new locally produced Renault Boreal, based on the Dacia Bigster and exclusively sold outside Europe. Notice also the KG Mobility Torres (+143.4%) breaking into the Top 10 for what is believed to be the first time at #8.Β

Croatia June 2026: BYD up to record 7th place, Seal 6 Touring in Top 20

7 July 2026 at 08:59

The Seal 6 Touring is the first BYD to enter the Croatian Top 20.

The Croatian new car market edges up 1.2% year-on-year in June to 8,886 units, leading to a H1 volume up 5.5% to 43,540. Skoda (-15.5%) reclaims the brands top spot off Volkswagen (+2.2%) despite a harsh YoY fall. Opel (-30.1%), Renault (-5.6%) and Toyota (+7.5%) camp on their May positions and complete the Top 5. Suzuki (+13.5%) is strong at #6 but no match for BYD up a phenomenal 5350% to #7 with 327 sales and 3.7% share, all records. Hyundai (+27%), Peugeot (+13.1%) and Ford (+9.8%) round out the Top 10, all in great shape. Below, notice Tesla (+242.4%), Jeep (+196.4%), Mazda (+97.8%) and Citroen (+40.7%).

Model-wise, the VW T-Cross (+35.5%) repeats at #1 and lodges its third win of the year after January but stays at #2 year-to-date. Just two sales below is the Skoda Octavia (-10%) which remains in pole position over H1. The new Opel Frontera (+2029.4%) confirms its fantastic success at #3, a ranking it now holds year-to-date as well. The Opel Mokka (-32.3%) rallies back up 10 spots on May to #4 but falls sharply YoY. The Renault Clio (-18.1%), also struggling, rounds out the Top 5. At #6, the Ford Puma (+12750%) has a freakishly good month which lifts it inside the YTD Top 20 at #18. Excellent performances also by the VW T-Roc (+122.2%), Suzuki S-Cross (+108.3%) and Skoda Kodiaq (+66.4%). First Top 20 finishes for the Cupra Terramar (#14) and BYD Seal 6 Touring (#20).
