Argentina October 2025: Toyota Hilux back to #1, VW Tera breaks into Top 10

5 November 2025 at 05:50

The VW Tera is an instant blockbuster in Argentina.

It’s another month of spectacular growth for new light vehicle sales in Argentina at +17.3% year-on-year to 49,111 units. This is the highest October result in 8 years: since October 2017 (76,096). Toyota (-13.9%) continues to dominate despite a harsh YoY loss. Like in September, it distances Volkswagen (-2.2%) and Fiat (-2.9%) also in difficulty. In contrast the next three carmakers all beat the market: Chevrolet (+104.1%) is the most dynamic ahead of Ford (+46.1%) and Renault (+32.6%). Nissan (+26.6%) and Citroen (+22.6%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. BAIC (+627.9%) doubles its September market share at 2% and ranks at a record #11 and Haval (+837.5%) repeats at an all time high #14.

Over in the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (-15.3%) reclaims the top spot for the first time since last April, unsettling the Toyota Yaris (-2.1%) which however remains #1 year-to-date. The Peugeot 208 (-10.9%) struggles YoY but is back up five spots on last month to #3 ahead of the Ford Ranger (+3.8%) and Fiat Cronos (-26%). This means the entire Top 5 underperforms. The Ford Territory (+102.5%) continues to shine at #6 and 3.5% share vs. #13 and 2.3% year-to-date. Excellent showing also for the Chevrolet Tracker (+72.5%) at #8. The new VW Tera breaks into the Top 10 at #10 for its 4th month in market.

Previous month: Argentina September 2025: Strongest market in 8 years, Toyota Yaris #1 YTD, Ford Territory #5

One year ago: Argentina October 2024: Toyota Hilux (+23.9%) win for 6th straight month

Bitcoin Liquidity Grabs: Institutions Target Low-Volume Zones To Move BTC Price

5 November 2025 at 01:00

In the dynamic and often opaque world of Bitcoin trading, institutional traders are operating with a fundamentally different playbook. These players are actively hunting for low-volume areas and under-traded levels, seeing them as strategic advantages for maximizing profit.

Why Institutions Avoid The Crowd And Target The Gaps

Bitcoin’s institutional traders and big players are actively hunting low-volume areas. These zones are thinly traded areas, which shows that there are fewer resting orders, making it easier to fill massive positions with less slippage. In an X post, a crypto analyst known as Killa has stated that throughout this entire rally, players have hunted Low Volume Nodes (LVNs), or in simpler terms, the volume areas are lows every single time.

The reason for this accumulation is that if the BTC price is stalling, volume is increasing, and BTC is unable to follow through with bullish momentum, it shows that 75% of the time, the market is preparing to retrace to lower areas of demand. This is simple basic supply and demand dynamics playing out.

Bitcoin

However, there has been a major increase in volume around these highs, coupled with the multiple sweeps of liquidity above them. Despite what might seem like bullish tariff catalysts, the market has failed to push higher. If this combination happens, it could be a sign of distribution rather than re-accumulation of the trend.

Furthermore, if BTC can’t decisively reclaim the $114,000 monthly open, then the next logical target points downwards to the Volume Area Low (VAL) below $100,000. Should BTC push below $100,000 and manage to reclaim the VAL, then this will be a deviation into expansion, which is a reclaim of the range. On the other hand, if BTC is unable to reclaim the VAL after testing below $100,000, it would point to a bear market towards $50,000 to $60,000 range.

October Leverage Bloodbath Is Still Echoing

A popular crypto news source, CryptosRus, has mentioned that Bloomberg has dropped a report that the October liquidation shocks are still haunting crypto. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is back near $107,000, but the reason is not new Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) or macro pressure, but because traders are still shaken from the October wipeout.

The liquidation flushed billions in leverage, which is the biggest clean-out this market has seen in years. This drained confidence and completely sidelined buyers who still haven’t stepped back into the arena with conviction. Bloomberg says that the October shock absolutely repelled new demand, even as global risk assets continue to rally. Presently, the fundamentals for BTC are actually fine, but the sentiment is shell-shocked. According to CryptorRus, this is not a weakness, but it’s a recovery mode.

Lagos Art Festival 2025 to Celebrate Youth Creativity, Art for Social Change, and the Power of Literature in Rebuilding a Fractured World

The Lagos Book and Art Festival (LABAF), Africa’s most anticipated cultural event, is returning in 2025 with a bold new theme that promises to ignite conversations and fuel the creative energy of Nigeria’s youth. Scheduled to take place from November 11 to 17, 2025, the 26th edition of LABAF will once again transform Freedom Park Lagos into a vibrant cultural hub, offering a platform for books, performances, exhibitions, and dynamic discussions. This year’s theme, “FLOW… Bridging the Fractured World,” sets the stage for a powerful exploration of how art, literature, and performance can address the world’s challenges and offer solutions to healing fractured societies.

With an emphasis on youth creativity, the festival aims to highlight the vital role of the younger generation in reshaping cultural and social landscapes. By bringing together Nigerian artists, writers, performers, and thinkers, LABAF 2025 will underscore the resilience and dynamism of Nigerian youth. These individuals, armed with creativity and a shared vision for positive change, are not only contributing to the nation’s cultural revival but also pushing boundaries on the global stage.

Cultural Tourism and the Power of Nigerian Art

As one of the most significant cultural festivals in Nigeria, LABAF plays a pivotal role in fostering cultural tourism. The event draws both local and international visitors who come to experience Nigeria’s unique cultural offerings. From art exhibitions to performances, LABAF showcases the best of Nigeria’s contemporary creative scene, offering an immersive experience for travelers and art enthusiasts.

The festival’s cultural impact goes beyond just tourism. It serves as a catalyst for promoting Nigeria’s cultural heritage to the rest of the world, creating a global platform for Nigerian artists and thinkers to present their work. For tourists, attending the Lagos Art Festival provides an opportunity to engage with Nigeria’s rich artistic tradition while participating in an event that celebrates the power of creativity to shape society.

LABAF’s emphasis on youth creativity is particularly significant in this context. The festival serves as a bridge between generations, fostering a space for young creatives to engage with established cultural figures and share their perspectives. For international tourists, this unique combination of established and emerging voices in Nigeria’s cultural landscape offers a dynamic view of the country’s evolving artistic identity.

“FLOW” Theme: Art and Literature as Catalysts for Change

The theme for the 2025 edition, “FLOW… Bridging the Fractured World,” speaks to the transformative power of art and literature in addressing the challenges that face society. This year’s festival will focus on how creativity can serve as a bridge, uniting people across cultural, social, and political divides. Art for social change will be at the forefront of the conversations and performances, with speakers, writers, and artists discussing how their work can influence public opinion and foster unity in a fractured world.

The FLOW theme also points to the fluidity of culture, acknowledging that creativity is constantly evolving and shaping societies in new ways. This year’s festival invites visitors and artists to explore how artistic expression can offer solutions to global challenges—whether through literature that opens minds, performances that spark empathy, or visual art that challenges perceptions.

For tourists, this message of unity and change is an attractive one, as it positions Nigeria as a leader in using the arts to create a more harmonious world. By participating in LABAF 2025, visitors can take part in a festival that celebrates the power of art to bring about positive societal change, positioning Lagos as a hub for global cultural exchange.

A Hub for International Artists and Performers

Each year, LABAF attracts renowned artists, writers, and cultural figures from across the globe. This makes it a significant event for global tourism, as it offers a unique opportunity for international visitors to engage with Nigerian artists while experiencing the cultural richness of Lagos. The festival provides an immersive experience where travelers can not only enjoy performances but also gain insights into the intellectual and creative processes behind the works presented.

With its focus on youth empowerment, LABAF also offers a platform for young artists to showcase their work, allowing emerging talents to present their creations to an international audience. This fosters a sense of pride and ownership among Nigerian youth while providing tourists with the opportunity to discover fresh, innovative talent.

As a major festival on the Lagos culture calendar, LABAF enhances the city’s reputation as a leading destination for art and culture tourism. The festival’s wide-ranging program includes book readings, visual art exhibitions, music and theater performances, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, all of which offer travelers an authentic, multifaceted experience of Nigerian culture.

LABAF’s Economic Impact on Lagos and Beyond

The economic benefits of LABAF extend far beyond its artistic impact. The festival attracts thousands of visitors each year, generating significant revenue for the local economy. From hotel bookings to transportation services, restaurants, and retail outlets, the influx of international and local tourists during the festival boosts various sectors of the economy.

Local businesses that specialize in tourism services and hospitality, such as hotels, tour operators, and cultural centers, experience a surge in activity during the festival. Many of these businesses cater to tourists who seek to explore the city’s cultural hotspots, including Freedom Park, which becomes a focal point during the week-long event. This tourism-related activity not only benefits Lagos but also highlights the broader economic potential of cultural festivals in Nigeria.

For tourists, attending LABAF offers more than just an event; it’s an opportunity to explore the city’s cultural scene and historical landmarks, such as Freedom Park—a site with historical significance that adds depth to the overall experience. Through its vibrant cultural offerings, the festival helps to position Lagos as a must-visit destination for travelers seeking to experience the art, history, and vibrant life of Nigeria.

Youth Creativity at the Forefront of Change

One of the most exciting aspects of the Lagos Art Festival is its celebration of youth creativity. Nigeria’s younger generation is playing an increasingly important role in the cultural and social transformation of the country. With an ever-growing number of young Nigerian artists gaining international recognition, LABAF provides a critical platform for these individuals to showcase their talent.

The festival’s programming is designed to empower the youth, with workshops, talks, and performances aimed at nurturing new voices in the cultural landscape. By encouraging youth participation in art and culture, LABAF fosters a sense of agency among young people, allowing them to use their creativity to address social issues and engage with global audiences.

For tourists, this focus on youth offers a fresh perspective on Nigerian culture. Visitors can explore how young artists are reshaping the country’s cultural identity, making LABAF a vibrant celebration of Nigerian art and innovation.

The Role of LABAF in Shaping Nigeria’s Global Cultural Influence

As LABAF continues to grow in prominence, it is increasingly recognized as one of Africa’s most important cultural events. The festival’s ability to attract both local and international attention places Lagos at the forefront of cultural tourism in Africa. LABAF’s global reach enhances Nigeria’s cultural influence and serves as an example of how art and literature can shape the global narrative.

By celebrating the creative energy of Nigeria’s youth and addressing the pressing issues of today’s world, LABAF is contributing to a broader cultural conversation that goes beyond the borders of Lagos. For international tourists, attending the festival provides an opportunity to witness firsthand how Nigerian artists are leading the charge for cultural change, not only in Africa but on the global stage.

In conclusion, the Lagos Book and Art Festival 2025 is a powerful example of how cultural tourism can reshape the global tourism landscape. Through its celebration of youth, creativity, and social change, LABAF is positioning Lagos as a destination that offers more than just a typical tourist experience—it provides a space for dialogue, reflection, and cultural exchange. Whether for those interested in Nigerian art, literature, or simply discovering a new cultural dimension, LABAF 2025 promises to be an unforgettable event that will continue to attract tourists and artists alike.

Altcoin Market Plunges as Over 300 Tokens Lose 30-60% of Their Value

3 November 2025 at 19:00

The altcoin market is currently facing a downturn, with over half of the crypto assets struggling to stay afloat. With more than 300 assets tanking 30-60% and losses dwarfing gains, the distress is palpable.

According to Arkham Intelligence data, the number of altcoins that have plummeted by over 60% in the past year exceeds those that have managed to gain value. Amidst this uncertainty, all eyes are on altcoin ETFs. Investors and analysts alike are monitoring the altcoin ETF developments to see if they could bring a fresh wave of enthusiasm to the market.

Altcoin Market Plunges Along with Bitcoin

As Bitcoin hovers below the significant $110k range, the altcoin market is also witnessing increased pressure. Top assets like Ethereum, XRP, BNB, and Solana have experienced significant declines of 11%, 8%, 12%, and 12.2%, respectively, over the past week.

Altcoin Market Plummets
Altcoin Market Plummets

Arkham data revealed a stark imbalance in the altcoin market, which is now dominated by losses. More coins have plummeted over 60% in value compared to those posting gains over the past year. The scope of the decline is broad, with over 300 crypto assets – including dogwifhat (WIF) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) – losing 30-60% of their value. This suggests that a significant portion of the altcoin market, potentially over half, is in trouble.

The underperformance of these assets comes as no surprise, given the sharp decline in the altcoin season index (ASI) in H1 2025, which followed a brief rally sparked by the US election in late 2024. The ASI plummeted from nearly 90% to around 10%, erasing the gains made in 2024, largely due to the impact of tariff wars.

A brief resurgence in Q2 2025 saw altcoins gaining momentum through July-September, buoyed by a favorable macro environment. However, the optimism was short-lived, as the October crash and renewed US-China tariff tensions soured sentiment. Although the tariff issue has since been resolved, the crash’s impact lingers, dampening risk appetite and shifting the ASI from ‘altcoin season’ territory to neutral.

Can ETF Hype Trigger an Altcoin Market Rally?

Notably, market experts and analysts have been optimistic about the impact of ETF approvals and launches on the altcoin market. Many believed that the ETF mania could be the trigger for altcoins like SOL and XRP.

Onchain research head Leon Waidmann asserted that each altcoin ETF approval could “open the door for the next wave of institutional buying.” He added,

“Altcoin ETF inflows are the inevitable next step after Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs proved institutional demand. This is regulatory confidence translating into capital flows.”

Despite record-breaking inflows for the Bitwise SOL ETF, the token’s price has consolidated between $180 and $200. XRP is also facing resistance at $2.7 ahead of potential ETF approvals, but options data hints at near-term optimism. Meanwhile, Chainlink (LINK) and Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET) are attracting major accumulation interest, with large outflows from Binance.

Is a Bull Run Ahead?

Although a bearish outlook presently exists, experts like Michael van de Poppe believe in a potential bull run as a desired outcome. Van de Poppe says that the correction evident since the Federal Reserve’s meeting has likely impacted investor confidence, though there seems to be preliminary data building for a turnaround.

Historically, the crypto market has followed the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy. Bitcoin surged, as did altcoins, when the Fed cut rates in 2020 and engaged in quantitative easing. Conversely, since the Fed began its tightening process and rate raises in late 2021, there has been a confirmed bear market.

The more recent indications from the Fed appear to be a shift in their priorities toward employment and economic growth rather than solely inflation. Additional weak labor and business data may push the Fed into a plan for further rate cuts down the road, which could put further liquidity into the market and create strong interest in risk assets such as cryptocurrencies.

Conclusion

The market for alternative cryptocurrencies is in a slump, with many alternative cryptocurrency assets unable to maintain any gains. There are still signs of hope in terms of potential approval for ETFs and a change in monetary policy from the Fed. While analysts believe we could be near a bull run or a rebound, they have pointed to institutional buying as being at “record highs,” in addition to the positive market analysis.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why is the altcoin market in its current downtrend?
The altcoin market is down due to weak investor psychology, tariff tensions, and a downtrend in Bitcoin prices that has led to bearish perceptions.
  2. Would altcoin ETFs help the market recover?
Yes. If altcoin ETFs are approved, it will provide more institutional credibility in those assets and will lead to more positive psychology in the market.
  3. What could trigger the next bull run?
A shift in the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy toward rate cuts could inject liquidity and spark a crypto bull run.

Indonesia’s Wellness Tourism Surge: Solo And Yogyakarta Offer A Perfect Blend Of Cultural Wisdom And Healing Practices For Global Travelers
Indonesia’s
tourism

Indonesia is positioning itself as a leading destination for wellness tourism, with Solo and Yogyakarta emerging as key hubs for rejuvenating travel experiences. The country’s growing wellness economy, valued at US$56.4 billion in 2023, is attracting travelers who seek not only relaxation but also cultural enrichment. Solo’s rich cultural heritage, combined with wellness-focused activities like Javanese music, dance, and healthy cooking, creates the ideal environment for those looking to restore their health and well-being. The Wonderful Indonesia Wellness festival highlights these offerings, showcasing how the country is integrating traditional healing practices and eco-tourism to meet the growing global demand for wellness-focused vacations.

Indonesia’s tourism landscape is evolving as travelers are increasingly seeking wellness-focused destinations to rejuvenate both their bodies and minds. Amid the hustle of modern life, stress and the need for relaxation have become central to travel choices, prompting a shift towards wellness tourism. Recognizing this growing trend, the Indonesian government has developed a comprehensive approach to wellness tourism, encompassing a variety of experiences aimed at restoring balance and well-being.

In line with this, the Ministry of Tourism has identified seven main wellness categories: eco-nature tourism, herbal medicine, healthy cuisine, lifestyle and fitness, arts, spiritual healing, and both traditional and ethno spas. These categories are designed to promote Indonesia as not only a destination for leisure but as a place of personal rejuvenation and healing.

The Wonderful Indonesia Wellness (WIW) festival, launched in Solo, Central Java, serves as a key example of how the country is integrating its rich cultural heritage with wellness initiatives. The festival, which takes place throughout November, highlights Solo’s potential as a wellness destination, thanks to its deep-rooted cultural traditions. These cultural elements, such as Javanese music, dance, and healthy cooking, are combined with wellness practices to create a holistic experience for visitors. By offering a fusion of cultural learning and wellness activities, Solo aims to cater to travelers seeking relaxation while also immersing themselves in the local culture.

In her speech at the opening of the festival, the Minister of Tourism emphasized Solo’s unique ability to blend culture and wellness, providing a perfect environment for visitors looking for both mental and physical well-being. She also praised the efforts of the Surakarta city government for preparing an array of wellness and cultural activities, which are integral to the festival’s success.

Indonesia’s wellness economy is experiencing remarkable growth. According to the Ministry, the country ranked first in Southeast Asia for the wellness economy in 2023, with a valuation of US$56.4 billion. Furthermore, Indonesia is the third-fastest-growing wellness market in the Asia-Pacific region, indicating a promising future for this sector. This growth is attributed to the increasing demand for wellness experiences from both local and international travelers, highlighting the nation’s potential to become a global leader in wellness tourism.

The festival itself is structured around five key programs that focus on different aspects of Javanese culture and wellness. These include the Javanese Wisdom Immersion, which introduces visitors to the traditional knowledge and practices of the region; Gendhing for Therapy, which uses Javanese music for therapeutic purposes; the Royal Dance Symphony, showcasing the rich history of royal Javanese dance; A Holy Journey, which emphasizes spiritual healing; and Javanese Secret Recipe, a culinary experience focused on health and wellness through traditional cooking.

The Tourism Ministry has set ambitious goals for the future, aiming to attract between 14 to 16 million international visitors in 2025. The festival and the growing wellness tourism market are key components of this strategy, with the ministry targeting 5,000 travel packages sold during the event and aiming for US$520,000 in transactions related to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

In addition to the festival, the Ministry of Tourism also launched the book Wellness Journey Across the Java Wonder. This guide aims to assist tour operators and travel agents in navigating the wellness tourism offerings across Java, ensuring that visitors can easily access the various wellness experiences the region has to offer.

Solo’s selection as the host city for the WIW festival underscores the importance of regional collaboration in the promotion of wellness tourism. The city, along with Yogyakarta, serves as a vital part of Indonesia’s tourism strategy, which blends culture, nature, and wellness to create a comprehensive and appealing destination for travelers. The festival is expected to play a significant role in positioning Indonesia as a top destination for wellness tourism globally.

As the wellness tourism sector continues to expand, Indonesia is well on its way to becoming a leading destination for those seeking more than just relaxation. With a combination of cultural richness, natural beauty, and a focus on health and well-being, the country offers travelers a unique and holistic approach to wellness. Through initiatives like the Wonderful Indonesia Wellness festival, Indonesia is not only promoting its diverse wellness offerings but also setting the stage for a future where wellness tourism is a cornerstone of the nation’s economic growth.
