One UI 8 update for Samsung Galaxy S21 FE live in the US
Samsung has started rolling out an Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone in the US. The update has already been released in countries including India and Europe, and Samsung is gradually making it available in more regions.
One UI 8 update for Samsung Galaxy S21 FE users in the US is currently live on the Verizon network carrier, and other carriers will soon get it. You can verify this update via One UI build version G990USQUJIYJ2 and G990U2SQUHIYJ2 (for the 2022 model).
The update brings Android 16 and One UI 8, along with Galaxy AI features and other improvements. Users can explore the new changes through the Tips app on their phone. Also, the update includes the September 2025 security patch, which improves system security and overall stability.

Your phone can now recommend photos from your Gallery that are suitable to use as a wallpaper. To see them, go to your lock screen or home screen, or go to Settings and select Change wallpapers. If the phone finds pictures that work well, it will suggest them under the Gallery tab.
The lock screen has also been updated to look more stylish. You can choose new clock designs and fonts, and the clock will adjust to the shape of your photos for a smoother appearance. Managing Galaxy Buds has become easier too. You can now control your Galaxy Buds directly from your phone’s settings without opening the Galaxy Wearable app.
To install the update, go to Settings, then Software update, and select Download and install. This update not only adds new features but also prepares your phone for future updates, including One UI 8.5, ensuring your Galaxy S21 FE stays up-to-date and ready for the latest improvements.
