Samsung brings Korea’s cultural legacy to the US through Smithsonian exhibition
Samsung is bringing Korea’s rich art history to the US through a special exhibition at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art. Korean Treasures: Collected, Cherished, Shared features over 200 works from the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-Hee’s famous collection.
The exhibition lets visitors see the deeper Korean culture beyond K-pop, K-dramas, and K-beauty. Open until February 1, 2026, the exhibition shows 1,500 years of Korean creativity, including rare National Treasures.
Visitors can explore Buddhist sculptures, Joseon-era furnishings, royal artifacts, ceramics, rare books, and modern works that mix tradition with contemporary art. These works tell the story of Korea’s artistic journey.

Samsung believes art and technology are closely connected because both come from imagination and curiosity. From The Frame TV and Samsung Art Store to Galaxy foldable phones, the company combines innovation and creativity in daily life.
For nearly 50 years, Samsung has also supported communities in the US. With Korean Treasures, Samsung and the Smithsonian offer a chance to learn, explore, and appreciate Korea’s artistic legacy.
