Google has announced a new feature for its Google Messages app. The feature is named the Trash folder, and it will help users manage deleted messages more easily.

Before this update, when you deleted a message, it was gone forever right away. But now, things are changing. With the new Trash folder, deleted messages will not disappear instantly. Instead, they will go into a special folder called Trash.

These messages will stay in the Trash for up to 30 days on most phones. This means if you delete something by mistake, you still have time to get it back. On Android Go phones, which are simpler devices, messages will stay in Trash for only seven days.

You can open the Trash folder anytime to check your deleted messages. From there, you can choose to restore a message, which will bring it back to your inbox. If you are sure you don’t need a message, you can delete it permanently. There are also options to delete all messages or restore all messages in just one tap.

Samsung is going to close its TV factory in Galanta, Slovakia, in May. This factory has been working for 24 years and has made televisions mainly for European customers. After the closure, the factory will stop all production.

The company said this step is part of its plan to run its business in a better and more efficient way. The TV market around the world is not growing fast anymore. Also, many companies are competing strongly with each other. Because of this, Samsung wants to reduce costs and change how it makes its products.

Samsung is trying to reduce the cost of making its smartphones as prices of RAM and memory parts keep increasing. Since memory is expensive and hard to negotiate, the company is looking at other components where it can save money. 

According to information via TheElec, Samsung has decided to buy OLED screens from China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT), a Chinese company. These screens are cheaper than the ones made by its own division, Samsung Display. Reports say Samsung has ordered around 15 million OLED panels from CSOT.

These cheaper screens will likely be used in mid-range phones like the Galaxy A series and also in Galaxy FE (Fan Edition) models. In the past, Samsung mostly used displays made by Samsung Display, even for its mid-range phones. But now, rising costs are forcing the company to change its strategy.

The main reason for choosing CSOT is the lower price. Their OLED panels are said to be about 20% cheaper. This helps Samsung balance the increasing cost of memory parts. It also shows that Samsung wants to depend less on its own companies and use more outside suppliers.

However, this decision has caused some tension inside Samsung. Samsung Display was not happy about losing orders and even tried to stop the move, but it did not succeed.

Instead of the white outline, the feature shows a bright, colorful gradient trail when you circle something. This trail uses colors similar to Google’s logo, which makes the experience feel more lively and Google-like.

Now, the latest information reveals the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may charge at the same speed as the current model, the Galaxy Z Flip 7. It may also keep a similar battery size.

According to a report via 91Mobiles, a device believed to be the Galaxy Z Flip 8, with model number SM-F7760, has been recently spotted on China’s 3C certification platform. The listing shows it supports charging at 9V and 1.67A, which equals 25W. Since 3C usually lists wired charging speeds, this likely refers to charging with a cable.

If this is correct, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will have the same 25W wired charging as the Galaxy Z Flip 7. While this speed is acceptable for a small foldable phone, it is not very fast compared to some other smartphones on the market. This means users may not see a big change in charging times.
