Liverpool facing £50-60m blow that will have “big impact on Arne Slot”
Liverpool could be facing missing out on as much as £50-60m if they miss out on qualification to next season’s Champions League.

That’s according to former Everton chief Keith Wyness, who told Football Insider that this could end up being a challenging summer for the Reds.
Liverpool spent big in the transfer market last summer, bringing in big names like Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, and Hugo Ekitike as exciting signings for the present and future.
It could be harder for Liverpool to continue progressing next season if they don’t get that bonus cash from being in the Champions League, according to Wyness.
Liverpool could really struggle without Champions League money
Speaking to Football Insider, Wyness discussed how a lack of a top four finish could impact LFC and their budget.
“Well, it’s not just having an impact on the club. It would have a big impact on Arne Slot himself. I think he’d get the sack. I think that they’ve really got themselves into a situation there. They seem to be finding some form,” Wyness said.

“As I say, five places seem to be what will get you into the Champions League and Arne Slot needs to get them in there. It would be a hit of maybe 50, 60 million that they’ve probably been budgeting in the forecast right now. And that’s a big number for Liverpool.
“They were just making some big strides in terms of the revenue coming in, hitting some record numbers. And they were challenging competitors in the area in terms of revenue. It would be a big hit for Liverpool and a big step backwards.
“They’ve set themselves up in a certain business model, as we know, with some big signings on big wages. And if there is no Champions League, not only is it the revenue from the Champions League, it’s also those bonuses from the sponsors that kick in as well.”
What will we see from Liverpool this summer?
It may be that Liverpool don’t need two big-spending summer transfer windows in a row.
The Merseyside giants didn’t really do anything of note before Arne Slot won the Premier League title in his first season in charge.
Perhaps after making so many changes last year, they can stick with this current squad for 2026/27.
However, the issue with that is that Liverpool will surely be forced to make some changes as Ibrahima Konate is nearing the end of his contract.
There are also some uncertainties around Mohamed Salah’s future as the ageing forward has suffered a dip in form this season, so this is not a club that can necessarily afford to rest on its laurels too much.

Arne Slot sets date for Liverpool star’s return, says he’ll be “different player” after injury
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has set a return date for injured Reds striker Alexander Isak.
Speaking at his press conference today, as quoted by Empire of the Kop, Slot stated that he expected Isak could be back by late March or early April.
The Dutch tactician did stress, however, that that won’t necessarily mean the Sweden international would be ready to play straight away.
See below for Slot’s comments in today’s press conference as he also backed Isak to come back a “different player” from the one Liverpool fans saw this season…
Arne Slot’s quotes on Alexander Isak
?? Slot on possible Isak return date: "It will be somewhere around the international break,. It depends on whether he has a setback. It'll be the end of March, start of April when he's back with the group, but it doesn't mean he's ready to start playing straight away." #LFC

Slot said: “It will be somewhere around the international break,. It depends on whether he has a setback. It’ll be the end of March, start of April when he’s back with the group, but it doesn’t mean he’s ready to start playing straight away.”
?? Slot on Isak: "We're expecting a different player at the end of this season compared to what he has done up to now. Unforunately for him and us, we haven't seen the best Alex. We will next season." #LFC
— Empire of the Kop (@empireofthekop) February 19, 2026
He added: “We’re expecting a different player at the end of this season compared to what he has done up to now. Unfortunately for him and us, we haven’t seen the best Alex. We will next season.”
Alexander Isak’s difficult first season at Liverpool
Isak was a world class performer at his former club Newcastle United, scoring 62 goals in 109 games for the Magpies.

This then saw Isak move to LFC for what was reported as a British record transfer fee by BBC Sport last summer.
However, the 26-year-old has had fitness issues since arriving at Anfield, meaning he’s missed a lot of games and scored only three goals for the Merseyside giants so far.
Isak is surely capable of much better than this, and it seems Slot is optimistic he can come back well from his injury struggles this term.
Liverpool fans will hope to see Isak get some chances to play before the end of this campaign, but it’s most likely next season when they can expect to see him back to his best.

- How Minnesota Was Paralyzed by White‑Out Snow Chaos in 2026 – Drivers Warned Roads Turned Deadly Overnight!
How Minnesota Was Paralyzed by White‑Out Snow Chaos in 2026 – Drivers Warned Roads Turned Deadly Overnight!

Minnesota residents were faced with challenging travel conditions in February, 2026, as a snowstorm swept across the state, causing significant disruptions, particularly in the Twin Cities area and southwestern parts of the state. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) issued warnings for blowing snow, low visibility, and ice-covered roads, leading to travel advisories being lifted by 6 p.m. following a stormy afternoon.
Snow and Blowing Winds Disrupt Travel Across Minnesota
The weather took a sharp turn for the worse on Wednesday afternoon, with snow rapidly blanketing roads and reducing visibility in various parts of the state. Twin Cities drivers, gearing up for the evening commute, found themselves navigating through deteriorating weather conditions, including snow-covered roads and strong winds that created blizzard-like conditions. MnDOT officials urged drivers to remain cautious and drive according to current conditions.
While the no travel advisory initially impacted large parts of southwestern Minnesota, the warning was officially lifted by early evening. The advisory had been issued due to blowing snow and severely reduced visibility, which made travel hazardous in open areas without windbreaks. MnDOT reminded motorists that many roads remained snow- or ice-covered, which continued to present dangers for commuters.
“Motorists should drive according to conditions when traveling,” MnDOT said in their release, stressing that visibility could still be a problem, especially in open, flat areas where there were few barriers to block the wind.
Travel Disruptions and Incidents Reported
As expected, the snowstorm contributed to several traffic incidents throughout the day. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, there were 19 injury crashes between midnight and 5 p.m., with an additional 277 property damage crashes. The weather also caused 207 vehicles to go off the road, with 14 semis reported as having jack-knifed, further complicating efforts to clear the roads.
In the Twin Cities, drivers faced increasingly poor visibility as the snowstorm intensified. A photo captured by KARE 11 digital producer Felicity Dachel from the passenger seat of a vehicle traveling on westbound I-94 in Minneapolis showed the stark reality of the storm. What should have been a clear view of the Minneapolis skyline near Cedar-Riverside was instead a complete white-out, illustrating the severe visibility challenges drivers were facing.
MnDOT and State Patrol Urge Caution for Drivers
By the evening of February 18, MnDOT had lifted the no travel advisories for southwestern Minnesota, though the department continued to warn motorists to drive with extra caution. Roads were still icy and snow-covered, and visibility remained limited in certain areas, especially in open spaces exposed to strong winds.
The Minnesota State Patrol reminded drivers that winter driving conditions could change quickly, and they should remain vigilant even after the advisories were lifted. The patrol encouraged everyone to check for updated travel conditions through MnDOT’s online resources at 511mn.org before setting out on the roads.
The Struggles of Winter Driving in Minnesota
The snowstorm on February 18 was another reminder of the challenges faced by Minnesota residents during the winter months, when weather conditions can quickly turn dangerous. Winter storms in the region often create travel disruptions, and these storms highlight the importance of being prepared for emergencies, as well as understanding how weather conditions can impact road safety.
For many Minnesota drivers, especially those unaccustomed to heavy snow, navigating through blizzards and low visibility can be a harrowing experience. Even with the state’s robust infrastructure and road maintenance efforts, driving in winter conditions remains risky. It’s common for Minnesota drivers to face difficulties on snowy highways and icy roads, leading to the necessity of careful planning and precautionary measures before venturing out in such conditions.
A Look Ahead to Continuing Winter Conditions
As snow showers continue to impact parts of Minnesota, travel advisories may remain in place for certain areas in the coming days. Although conditions had improved by the evening of February 18, MnDOT will continue to monitor the weather closely and issue further guidance for travelers as needed.
Residents of Minnesota are urged to stay updated on changing weather forecasts and travel conditions, particularly when venturing out during peak commuting hours. The state’s winter storm season is far from over, and drivers should remain prepared for potential snow and icy conditions in the weeks ahead.
Conclusion
As Minnesota residents prepare for more snow-covered roads and potential travel disruptions, the importance of staying informed and exercising caution cannot be overstated. MnDOT and the Minnesota State Patrol continue to monitor the situation, providing crucial information to keep drivers safe. Whether facing blowing snow or ice-covered highways, being aware of the weather and road conditions can make a significant difference in ensuring a safe journey.

Greece January 2026: Citroen C3 best-seller in weak market
The Citroen C3 is the most popular vehicle in Greece in January.
New car sales in Greece drop -5.4% year-on-year in January to 10,087 units, keep in mind January 2025 was a already off -16.4% on the year prior so this is a weak result. Toyota (-19.5%) is by far the most popular brand again with 14.9% share and despite a hefty year-on-year fall. It is followed by Opel (-19%) back up 16 spots on December but down sharply on a particularly strong year-ago result. Peugeot (-14.3%) is up 7 ranks to #3 bay also falls heavily YoY. In contrast Citroen (+34.1%) and Suzuki (+43.1%) surge ahead to complete the Top 5. Audi (+43.8%) and MG (+9.1%) also defy the negative context in the remainder of the Top 10 but Hyundai (-27.5%) and most strikingly Volkswagen (-40.6%) are hit hard, the latter even ranking below its premium counterpart Audi. Just outside the 10 best-sellers, Skoda (+116.9%) and Dacia (+64%) impress. Newcomer Chery is down for spots on a record December showing to a still stellar 14th place.
Model-wise, the Citroen C3 (-8%) records its first win in almost a year and 6th ever for the nameplate after May, June and July 2012, February 2023, January 2024 and March 2025. It distances the Full Year 2025 leader, the Toyota Yaris Cross (-12.5%) while the Peugeot 2008 (-23.6%) is in difficulty year-on-year and ranks at #3. The Suzuki Vitara (+92.4%) almost doubles its sales year-on-year and climbs to 4th place ahead of the Opel Corsa (-34.8%) and Toyota Yaris (-18.7%). Like last month, the Chery Tiggo 4 (#14) is the best-selling recent launch, above the Fiat Grande Panda (#16) and Opel Frontera (#20).

- Le Commandant Charcot’s Australian Debut Supercharges Luxury Cruise Tourism: Here’s What You Need To Know
Le Commandant Charcot’s Australian Debut Supercharges Luxury Cruise Tourism: Here’s What You Need To Know

The local residents who assembled at Hobart’s waterfront watched Le Commandant Charcot sail into the Tasmanian capital at 4:15pm AEST on Saturday 14 February which marked the ship’s first appearance in Australia and brought significant benefits to the country’s cruise tourism development. The arrival of PONANT EXPLORATIONS’ flagship polar vessel after a half-circumnavigation of Antarctica from Ushuaia is being framed by industry leaders as a defining moment for positioning Hobart and by extension Australia, as a serious high-end gateway to the White Continent.
Defining moment for Australia’s polar cruise network
PONANT EXPLORATIONS’ Asia Pacific CEO Deb Corbett characterised the maiden Australian call as a watershed for Antarctic tourism, noting that with Australia now firmly woven into the line’s most ambitious itineraries, Hobart stands to play a strategic role in future polar deployment. The brand is already known for its small‑ship luxury expeditions, and integrating Hobart into the operational map of Le Commandant Charcot gives local stakeholders access to some of the most exclusive itineraries in the global cruise market.
Industry observers view the call as more than a one‑off visit, instead describing it as the start of a new chapter in cruise networking that will link Tasmanian ports with remote Antarctic regions such as Adélie Land, Wilkes Land, the Shackleton Ice Shelf and Queen Mary Land. Such routing not only diversifies the cruise offering out of Australia but also encourages longer stays, higher‑value shore spending and stronger integration with local operators and scientific institutions.
From Ushuaia to Hobart: a prestigious Antarctic highway
Le Commandant Charcot’s arrival in Hobart capped a rare half‑circumnavigation from Ushuaia through some of East Antarctica’s least‑visited stretches, an itinerary usually associated with scientific or government vessels rather than passenger ships. By completing this route on a commercial voyage with paying guests, PONANT EXPLORATIONS has effectively mapped a prestigious Antarctic “highway” linking South America and Tasmania, with Hobart as a natural hinge between hemispheres.
The vessel’s presence also underscores Hobart’s evolving role alongside ports such as Ushuaia and Lyttelton as an operational base for polar logistics and tourism, supported by its existing Antarctic research community and infrastructure. Local tourism planners suggest this can translate into pre‑ and post‑cruise itineraries across Tasmania, from food and wine regions to wilderness experiences, creating a more layered visitor economy rather than a simple embark‑disembark stop.
2028 circumnavigation: Hobart as the pivot
Looking ahead, PONANT EXPLORATIONS has opened bookings for what it describes as its most ambitious Antarctic itinerary yet: a 62‑day circumnavigation of the continent in early 2028, operated roundtrip from Ushuaia on Le Commandant Charcot. The voyage will span roughly 14,300 miles and is split into two sellable legs, with Hobart acting as the pivotal midpoint, first as the terminus of a 30‑day Ushuaia–Hobart segment, then as the departure port for a 31‑day Hobart–Ushuaia return via Eastern Antarctica.
For Australia’s cruise network this structure is highly significant, as it effectively anchors Hobart within a marquee global expedition that visits coveted regions including the Ross Sea, Charcot Island, Marie Byrd Land, the Balleny Islands and other rarely accessed coasts. Travel planners expect that the stopover – currently designed as a three‑day window – will encourage fly‑in guests, encourage Australian travellers to join or leave the voyage in Tasmania, and stimulate premium hotel, touring and dining demand in and around Hobart.
A luxury icebreaker tailored to modern travellers
Delivered in 2021, Le Commandant Charcot has been promoted by PONANT as the first hybrid‑electric polar exploration vessel powered by liquefied natural gas, blending serious icebreaking capability with the comfort expected of a five‑star resort. The ship carries around 245 guests in balcony staterooms and suites, supported by multiple restaurants, lounges, a spa with snow room and indoor pool, and extensive scientific facilities that allow collaboration with researchers during voyages.
Travel specialists point out that this elevated onboard environment positions Hobart to welcome high‑spend expedition guests, many of whom may extend their travels across mainland Australia before or after their polar journey. In tourism terms, Le Commandant Charcot’s design represents a bridge between classic expedition travel and ultra‑luxury cruising, a segment that destination marketers in Australia have been eager to attract to diversify beyond mass‑market ship calls.
Personal ties, shared ambitions and a boost for Australian tourism
At the helm for the Hobart arrival was Captain Stanislas Devorsine, who was reported to have reflected on a deeply personal milestone, recalling his years in Hobart and his decade commanding the French icebreaker L’Astrolabe within the long‑standing French–Australian Antarctic partnership. He also indicated that since contributing his icebreaker experience during the design phase of Le Commandant Charcot in 2018, seeing the ship now poised to undertake a full Antarctic circumnavigation felt like a turning point in modern polar exploration, a sentiment that resonates strongly with local tourism aspirations.
The emotional homecoming of a captain with historic ties to Hobart and the low-emission luxury icebreaker and the future circumnavigation voyages function as more than a schedule update because they create a story which connects shared goals and collective exploration. The tourism bodies believe this story will attract new visitors who will begin their Antarctic journey at Australian coastal areas.

Dangerous Winds and Blinding Dust Set to Strike Southern New Mexico as NMDOT Issues Urgent Travel Alert – Don’t Travel Until You Read This

Southern New Mexico is bracing for a major weather event this week, as the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) issues an urgent travel advisory due to expected high winds and blowing dust that may significantly impact road safety across multiple highways. With gusts forecasted to reach up to 75 mph, travel disruptions are expected, especially for drivers of high-profile vehicles, such as trucks and RVs. As travelers prepare to navigate the challenging conditions, authorities are emphasizing the importance of safety, urging caution, and providing key travel tips.
Severe Wind Forecast for Southern New Mexico
The National Weather Service has projected sustained wind speeds ranging between 30 and 45 miles per hour (mph), with gusts expected to soar between 60 to 75 mph throughout the southern New Mexico region. Areas heavily affected include major highways such as Interstate 10 (I-10), Interstate 25 (I-25), and routes connecting Las Cruces, Silver City, and Santa Teresa. These gusty winds, which will peak during the afternoon hours, pose serious risks to travelers, especially in the open desert terrain of southern New Mexico, where wind gusts can cause vehicles to swerve and lose control.
While these high winds are typical for the region, the National Weather Service (NWS) warns that blowing dust will further deteriorate driving conditions. As the winds pick up, the dust can rapidly reduce visibility to near zero, increasing the chances of accidents, particularly on rural roads and desert highways where the infrastructure is less developed. The NMDOT has confirmed that blowing dust is expected to become particularly severe in open and rural areas, often without warning, making visibility a major concern for drivers.
Blowing Dust: A Silent Danger to Road Safety
The blowing dust hazard is one of the biggest concerns during this windstorm. High winds sweeping across the desert landscape will pick up fine dust particles and send them swirling into the air, creating dust storms that can cover miles of roadway in an instant. The NMDOT and NWS have noted that drivers may find themselves in near-blind conditions, with visibility dropping dramatically.
When driving through such storms, it’s crucial that drivers of all vehicles — especially those in high-profile cars — reduce speed and increase following distance. For those already on the road, it’s advisable to avoid abrupt stops and pull over to a safe, low-visibility area if conditions worsen. Pulling over completely off the highway and turning off all lights is strongly recommended, as other drivers might mistake a vehicle’s hazard lights for a moving car, creating a further hazard.
Road Conditions and Areas Affected
According to the NMDOT, the most affected highways will be in the southern, southwestern, and western parts of New Mexico. Areas such as I-10, which runs through Las Cruces and connects New Mexico with Arizona, are at particular risk for visibility issues due to the intense dust storms expected to form along these routes. Highways such as I-25 and US Route 54 are also expected to experience high wind gusts, especially in open country areas with little shelter from the wind.
- I-10 will see strong crosswinds, and desert highways will be highly susceptible to blowing dust. Travelers may experience visibility drops that could make travel nearly impossible in some areas.
- I-25 will experience similar conditions, with dust storms likely affecting the southernmost stretches of the highway, where vehicles are at the greatest risk of being blown off course.
- US-54 is also flagged as a high-risk route, particularly the stretch through Tularosa and surrounding desert areas.
Travel Tips for Drivers in Southern New Mexico
With high winds and blowing dust expected to impact travel through southern New Mexico, the NMDOT has provided the following travel advisory tips:
- Before Departure:
Check road conditions and NMDOT updates on nmroads.com or dial 511 for the latest travel alerts. Consider postponing travel, particularly if you drive a high-profile vehicle. - While Driving:
- Slow down when you feel your vehicle being affected by wind gusts.
- Be especially cautious around semi-trucks and buses, as these vehicles are more susceptible to strong crosswinds.
- Keep a safe distance from other vehicles, as sudden dust clouds can cause abrupt stops or accidents.
- Pull off the road if conditions become hazardous, but do not stop under overpasses or on the side of bridges where winds may be more intense.
- If Blowing Dust Hits:
- Turn off your vehicle’s lights and stay in the car with your seatbelt fastened until the dust storm clears.
- Do not drive into or through a dust storm. If you encounter a storm, immediately find a safe pull-off area.
Real-time Resources and Road Condition Updates
For the latest updates on road conditions, closures, and travel advisories, travelers should rely on official NMDOT sources:
- NM Roads Website: The NMDOT’s official website, nmroads.com, provides real-time road condition reports, including current travel advisories, weather conditions, and live traffic cameras for major highways throughout the state.
- 511 System: The 511 travel information system is available to help drivers get the most up-to-date conditions, including closures and detours.
- National Weather Service: For weather updates and high-wind warnings, travelers should monitor the National Weather Service’s alerts for southern New Mexico.
Conclusion: Stay Safe and Plan Ahead
In conclusion, the NMDOT’s travel advisory for southern New Mexico highlights the seriousness of the expected high winds and blowing dust in the coming days. Drivers must take immediate precautions to ensure their safety when traveling in the region. Given the dangerous combination of high winds and dust storms, the NMDOT urges travelers to exercise extreme caution, reduce speeds, and stay updated on conditions via official channels.
For those who must travel, be aware that visibility may fluctuate dramatically, and sudden gusts of wind could cause vehicles to lose control. By heeding the NMDOT’s advice, travelers can ensure that they remain as safe as possible under these challenging conditions.
As southern New Mexico braces for severe weather, travelers are reminded that safety is paramount, and those planning trips should be prepared to adjust their plans if conditions worsen.

“We are in talks” – Arne Slot wants world class CB at Liverpool next season
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has made it clear that the Reds are in talks over keeping Ibrahima Konate at the club with a new contract.

There’s not long left on Konate’s current Reds deal as he edges closer to becoming a free agent this summer, and fans will surely have been losing hope that he could still stay at Anfield.
Still, Slot has suggested that Liverpool are still trying and that they remain determined to persuade Konate to stay where he is.
Arne Slot on Ibrahima Konate’s Liverpool future
See below for the Dutch tactician’s quotes on the France international, which come not long after Virgil van Dijk also urged him to stay…
? Arne Slot: “We are in talks with Ibou Konaté over new deal… so that tells you what we want”.
“It’s clear we would like him to stay, negotiations are ongoing, let’s see where that ends. We wouldn’t be in negotiations if we didn’t want him to stay!”. pic.twitter.com/mvJOHh1L12

“We are in talks with Ibou Konaté over new deal… so that tells you what we want,” Slot said.
“It’s clear we would like him to stay, negotiations are ongoing, let’s see where that ends. We wouldn’t be in negotiations if we didn’t want him to stay!”
That certainly sounds encouraging for LFC, despite previous reports from the Athletic that there had still been no breakthrough in negotiations.

Ibrahima Konate is crucial for Liverpool
Konate has been a key player for Liverpool in recent years, and it now seems more vital than ever for them to keep hold of him.
With Virgil van Dijk not getting any younger and surely set for a reduced role in the not-too-distant future, Konate could replace him as the senior figure in this Liverpool defence.
The Merseyside giants will likely also need signings at the back to help strengthen in that department, but keeping an experienced figure like Konate around would undoubtedly be a big help instead of having to make multiple new signings in that area and expecting them to all gel quickly.

Arne Slot breaks silence on “clubs wanting to sign” Liverpool star
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has spoken out on the future of Reds midfielder Curtis Jones after his recent links with Inter Milan.

Jones has not always been an automatic starter for Liverpool, but he’s undoubtedly a useful squad player for Slot’s side, so he’s not necessarily someone they’d want to lose.
It also makes sense that the 25-year-old would have interest from some big names, with TEAMtalk also recently claiming that the likes of Newcastle could be keen on him in the summer after Fabrizio Romano reported on Inter’s pursuit of him in January…
???? Inter are in direct club to club talks with Liverpool for Curtis Jones on loan deal with buy option clause.
Negotiations ongoing but linked to Davide Frattesi exit with #NFFC waiting for an answer.

Discussing Jones’ situation at the moment, Slot suggested LFC were working to tie him down to a new contract.
See below as Romano has posted on X about Slot making it clear he still viewed Jones as a key part of his plans, saying: “It’s perfectly normal that Curtis Jones is in the interest of big clubs, like us, trying to extend with him and clubs wanting to sign him. He will be part of our plans for the upcoming weeks, months and also for next season.”

Liverpool should keep Curtis Jones despite transfer interest
While it may be tempting to cash in on a squad player when interest comes up, Liverpool should surely keep Jones and it looks like that’s the plan if Slot gets his way.
The Englishman is clearly a hard working player who can impact big games, and it’s important for teams to keep some homegrown stars involved.

It will have been a big blow to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid in the summer, so that makes keeping Jones all the more important in terms of having someone with a real connection to the club in the first-team squad.
Still, it will be interesting to see if Jones himself perhaps becomes tempted to explore options elsewhere as he may get more playing time and feel more valued at another club.

According to Football Insider, the club’s hierarchy are prepared to review Slot’s position should the Reds fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
This development marks a stark contrast to the optimism that surrounded Anfield just a few months ago.
Slot, who guided Liverpool to Premier League title glory in his first campaign, was widely praised for modernising the team’s tactical approach while maintaining the intensity synonymous with the club.
Significant investment followed last summer, reinforcing expectations that Liverpool would remain firmly among England’s elite.
A season that has drifted off course for Liverpool
Instead, inconsistency has crept into Liverpool’s performances. Sitting sixth in the table and trailing rivals Manchester United by six points, albeit with a game in hand, the Reds are now battling to secure a top-four finish rather than defending their crown.
Recent setbacks have amplified the scrutiny. A damaging home defeat to Manchester City not only dented confidence but also intensified doubts about Liverpool’s ability to handle high-stakes encounters this season.
Defensive vulnerabilities and a lack of cutting edge in key moments have become recurring themes, prompting criticism from supporters and pundits alike.
Slot’s tactical decisions have come under the microscope, particularly his squad rotation and in-game adjustments.
While last season’s title win showcased fluid attacking football and defensive resilience, this campaign has exposed fragilities that were previously masked by momentum and belief.
Board room is losing patience with Arne Slot

Liverpool’s ownership group is known for measured decision-making rather than impulsive reactions.
However, Champions League qualification is widely regarded as the minimum requirement for a club of Liverpool’s stature, both financially and competitively.
Missing out would not only impact revenue but could also complicate future transfer plans and contract negotiations.
It remains unclear whether the club would act decisively or simply conduct a strategic review at the end of the season.
Much could depend on how the final weeks unfold and whether Slot can rally his squad during the decisive run-in.

“Liverpul” Slota “dözməy”i seçib
“Liverpul” cari mövsümü gözlənildiyi kimi keçirmir və bu səbəbdən, baş məşqçi Arne Slotun klubdakı gələcəyi ilə bağlı müzakirələr aparılır.
İngiltərə Premyer Liqasının son çempionu 24 turdan sonra turnir cədvəlində 6-cı pillədə qərarlaşıb və lider “Arsenal”dan 14 xal geri qalır.
Komanda.az xarici KİV-ə istinadən xəbər verir ki, klub rəhbərliyi nəticələrə baxmayaraq, niderlandlı mütəxəssisə tam etimad göstərir və onunla yolları ayırmağı planlaşdırmır. “Liverpul” Arne Slotun layihəsinə sadiq qalmaq niyyətindədir.
47 yaşlı baş məşqçinin Mersisayd təmsilçisi ilə müqaviləsinin müddəti 2027-ci ilin ortalarına qədərdir. Bununla belə, yayılan şayiələrə əsasən, yanvarda “Real”dan ayrılan Xabi Alonsonun yaxın vaxtlarda Slotu əvəzləyə biləcəyi iddia olunur.

Medical done: Liverpool a step closer to finalising £60m transfer
Liverpool have reportedly taken another step closer to signing Rennes centre-back Jeremy Jacquet, who has now had his medical with the Reds.
The talented 20-year-old has been the subject of a lot of interest this winter, with the Athletic reporting on his medical with Liverpool being scheduled.
And now Mike McGrath of the Telegraph has posted on X that that medical has now been done, with Jacquet all set to join Liverpool for a potential £60m package in the summer.
See below for details as the Jacquet to Liverpool deal now looks all but done…
Jérémy Jacquet has completed his medical at Liverpool. The 20yr centre-back will join #LFC in £60m deal, with £55m up front and join in the summer after completing the season with Rennes

McGrath posted: “Jérémy Jacquet has completed his medical at Liverpool. The 20yr centre-back will join #LFC in £60m deal, with £55m up front and join in the summer after completing the season with Rennes.”
Liverpool beat Chelsea to Jeremy Jacquet transfer
Chelsea were also in the mix for Jacquet earlier in this transfer window, but a deal seemingly couldn’t be agreed.
Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol had posted about the Blues pursuing the young defender, with Rennes’ preference always being to keep him until the summer.
Perhaps this ended up being the key detail, as LFC have clearly allowed Jacquet to remain with the Ligue 1 club for a few more months.

Chelsea, by contrast, looked like they really needed a new defender now, and this led to them recalling Mamadou Sarr from his loan spell at Strasbourg.
Liverpool fans will be delighted to see their club move quickly to hijack the deal and secure the services of one of the most highly regarded young defenders in Europe.
Arne Slot looks like he could do with a signing like this for the near future, with Virgil van Dijk not getting any younger, while Ibrahima Konate is coming towards the end of his contract this summer.
