On September 1, 2026, the price of a Nintendo Switch 2 console will increase across several markets as the world of consoles becoming more expensive the longer they're around instead of less, continues. After that aforementioned date, the minimum price to enter the Switch 2 generation is a cool $499.99 USD, but before that goes into full effect, you can pay that price for a Switch 2 over the summer and get one of three major first-party games to go along with it. Nintendo has announced a new 'Choose Your Game Bundle' for the Nintendo Switch 2, which gets you […]

On May 12, Samsung officially unveiled the One UI 9 Beta and confirmed features coming in its Android 17 Beta Program. The list includes new customization tools, accessibility upgrades, and security improvements.
While Samsung says the full One UI 9 experience will debut later this year alongside upcoming flagship devices, the company has already confirmed a handful of upgrades focused on creativity, personalization, accessibility, and security.
Here’s a closer look at the One UI 9 features Samsung has confirmed for the Beta Program.
Samsung Notes gets more creative tools
Samsung is expanding customization inside the Samsung Notes app with new decorative tapes and additional pen line styles.
These additions should make Samsung Notes feel more flexible for both productivity and creativity, especially on devices that support the S Pen.
Contacts app now connects directly to Creative Studio
One UI 9 also improves profile customization. Samsung confirmed that the Contacts app will now offer direct access to Creative Studio.
This will allow users to create personalized profile cards without switching between apps. It’s designed to simplify profile editing and give Galaxy users more ways to personalize how they appear in contacts.
Samsung is making the Quick Panel more adjustable in One UI 9. Users will now be able to independently resize and control sections like brightness, sound, and the media player.
The update also introduces additional layout and sizing options, which could be one of the more practical upgrades in daily use, especially for users who prefer cleaner or more compact quick settings layouts.
Accessibility improvements
Samsung confirmed an adjustable Mouse Key speed option for smoother cursor movement. The company is also combining TalkBack features previously split between Samsung and Google into a unified package.
Another new addition is Text Spotlight, a feature that enlarges selected text inside a floating window for easier reading. It appears designed to improve readability for users who struggle with smaller text elements.
Stronger protection against risky apps
Samsung is also strengthening security protections in One UI 9.
When suspicious apps are detected, One UI 9 may warn users, block installation or execution, and recommend deleting the app through updated security policies.
Samsung is expected to reveal additional One UI 9 features in the coming months as the stable rollout gets closer.
One UI 9 Beta availability
Samsung will start the gradual rollout of One UI 9 Beta to Galaxy S26 series this week in six countries, including India, the US, Germany, Poland, South Korea, the UK and the US.
After the initial surge, the GPU prices are dropping gradually, at least in Germany. They are now at just 9% higher than in September 2025. German GPU Listings Show GPU Prices Surged to 120% In February Before Dropping To 112% in May, Bringing Relief to the Hardware Market The GPU market has begun to stabilize, and while it's not the same in every region, a few places are seeing gradual price drops over the last few weeks. A phenomenon that was hard to imagine is finally occurring in some regions. The latest stats show that the GPU selling prices have […]

During last week's earnings call for its Q4 FY25 and full-year 2025 financial report, Sony's executives admitted they haven't decided on the launch timing for the PlayStation 6 due to ongoing memory shortages, and thus very high prices that could drive the system's launch price past what many consider reasonable for a gaming console. According to known AMD leaker KeplerL2, the only reasonable cutbacks Sony could make without gutting the system heavily to keep its price as low as possible would be to reduce the memory bus and the system's RAM. "Nerfing the specs so much kinda defeats the point of having a […]
Resident Evil Requiem is among the best-looking survival horror games of the current console generation, but if you are on PC and have the performance headroom to spare, you can push the game's visuals to a level past what CAPCOM intended with the Graphics Enhancement mod now available for free on Nexus Mods. "Resident Evil Requiem ships with a maximum in-game RT setting of High. This mod breaks that ceiling — pushing raster quality further, improving RT visuals across the board, and squeezing out a little extra quality from path tracing as well. Everything is tuned from a clean in-game […]

As smartphone demand starts to wane due to the memory crisis, companies have been forced to adjust their shipment requirements for a multitude of components, including OLED panels. As a result, this problem has branched out to the entire industry, as display manufacturers are feeling every bit of pressure due to the DRAM shortage. According to the latest statistics, OLED shipments for the first quarter of 2026 fell by 12 percent, but since there’s no reason to halt smartphone production completely, Korean firms continue to benefit. Chinese OLED manufacturers like BOE have created a market for themselves amid the DRAM […]
A few days ago, alongside its quarterly financial report, Sony revealed that it has already embraced AI tools to empower the game development of its own first party studios. More information about this strategy is now available via the Corporate Strategy Earnings Presentation, delivered by Sony CEO Hiroki Totoki and PlayStation President and CEO Hideaki Nishino. Sony's overarching principle is that human creativity must remain central. CEO Hiroki Totoki set the tone plainly: "AI is a powerful tool, but it is not a replacement for artists or creators. It is an amplifier of human imagination and a catalyst for new possibilities". PlayStation […]
It's been more than a year since FromSoftware and Nintendo surprised everyone with the announcement of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, a Nintendo Switch 2 specific version of the award-winning open world action RPG that was revealed alongside the console itself. The game was supposed to launch in 2025, but got delayed to 2026 because the developers needed more time to optimize its performance on the weaker system. Now, though, it may be very close to launch, at least according to Canadian retailer PNP Games, which has listed it for an "estimated ship date" of July 10. For the record, that […]
A deal between Intel and Apple could lead to higher demand for chip manufacturing and bonding machines, suggests a report from Bank of America. Media reports have suggested that Apple and Intel have signed an agreement through which some of Apple's chips would be made by Intel. Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale (24), Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd (35) and Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers (5) react to the action Saturday, May 9, 2026, during the first half of the Feverís season opener game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Azzi Fudd, the number one overall pick in the 2026 WNBA draft, made her debut for the Dallas Wings in Dallas’ 107-104 win over the Indiana Fever on Saturday. Unfortunately, Fudd didn’t leave as strong aas an impact as she may have hoped.
After surprisingly being left out of the starting lineup, Fudd scored only three points off the bench in 18 minutes of game action. Now, we may have an explanation for the slow start to Fudd’s career.
On Monday, the WNBA downgraded Fudd from healthy to”questionable,” as she popped up on its injury report ahead of Tuesday’s game between the Wings and the Atlanta Dream. Fudd’s knee, which she has had issues with in both high school and her time in college with the UConn Huskies, is troubling her again.
Even if she’s cleared to play, don’t expect Fudd to be in the starting lineup. Dallas head coach Jose Fernando is in no rush to speed up her development.
“Is she capable of (starting)? Yes, she is,” Fernandez told the media on Monday. “When it does happen, I think she’ll be ready.”
“I don’t think about it that way. Is she capable of doing that? Yes, she is … When it does happens, I think she’ll be ready,” Fernandez said, according Wings reporter Drake Keeler. Although the first-year head coach conceded that he can do more to help her find her footing.
“The other thing, when she gets in and she’s a shooter, I gotta get her more involved, get her some looks, but you got to give other teams credit too. Other teams prepare for really good players.”
Hopefully, Fudd will be on the floor and healthy in Tuesday night, but regardless, it’s clear that Dallas’ plan is to be patient as she develops.

The story of the WNBA offseason was the intense negotiations surrounding the new collective bargaining agreement, which has been described as “transformational.” However, just as important were negotiations on how games would be called by game officials, as a committee worked to address the league’s infamous physicality, which was determined as detrimental to the product on the floor.
The difference on the floor has been night and day, as touch fouls have been regularly called in the game’s opening weekend. In fact, some of the game’s biggest stars, such as New York Liberty forward and former MVP Breanna Stewart, feel the pace of the game has been compromised.
“It disrupts everyone’s flow, not just my team, both sides of the game. This game was 2 hours and 41 minutes long. That’s insane,” Stewart told the media after a win agianst the Washington Mystics on Sunday.
“We said it last game too. I know it’s going to take time figuring out the standard of what’s going to be called, but there are calls being made that are unnecessary on both sides, and then there’s no flow. So, I still don’t know.”
It’s worth noting that the game went into overtime, adding to the length of the contest. Still, it’s clear there’s a feeling that the game officials haven’t quite figured out how to call the games. Indiana Fever sharpshooter felt that given the league’s new whistle, she should’ve been able to draw more fouls.
“I think especially if they’re going to call it the way they’re going to call it this year, I think I honestly could have probably got a couple more calls on a few of them, but that’s okay,” Clark said to reporters after a 107-104 loss to the Dallas Wings in Indiana’s season opener.
The officials are clearly still getting used to the league’s new whistle, same as the players. It may take a couple of weeks, but alls sides should be on the same page in a couple of weeks.
After taking a stake in Intel, the Trump administration seems to have taken upon itself the responsibility of filling Intel's order book, be it the enthusiastic courting of Apple's Tim Cook with anecdotes of the "tens of billions of dollars" that the US government has recorded in gains over the past few months as Intel shares surged, or pressuring Tesla to now abandon TSMC in favor of Intel's Arizona fabs. Tesla is reportedly facing concerted pressure from the Trump administration to move the fabrication of its AI6.5 chips from TSMC to Intel Back in April, while discussing the taping out […]

TSMC’s slightly advanced 2nm ‘N2P’ process has been reported to be utilized by Qualcomm and MediaTek this year, as both companies seemingly want to obtain an edge over Apple’s A20 and A20 Pro. The advantage of moving to an improved node is that these Android chipset manufacturers can target a higher clock speed for increased single-core and multi-core performance. The drawback is that shifting to this technology can risk mass adoption from smartphone makers due to the major cost increases. The first 2nm chipsets from Qualcomm and MediaTek could cost 20 percent more than current SoCs, but it’s likely that these […]

The Minnesota Vikings added veteran quarterback Kyler Murray to the depth chart this offseason after J.J. McCarthy struggled to stay healthy and produce when he was on the field last season.
However, the Vikings aren’t handing the starting job to Murray, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, and McCarthy can win the starting job over Murray in what is expected to be a “true competition” between the two of them.
“They envision it being a true competition: Kyler Murray versus J.J. McCarthy,” Pelissero said during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show. “And both these guys are going to go into this believing they’re gonna win this job. I don’t know, frankly, how friendly that quarterback room is going to be. It’s going to be a very competitive quarterback room.
“From everything that I’ve understood, it is truly wide open, they’re keeping an open mind as a coaching staff.”
Murray is coming off his own health concerns, after his season with the Arizona Cardinals last season was marred by a foot injury that cost him the bulk of the campaign.
It’s clear that the Vikings organization has little patience for a rebuild after watching former quarterback Sam Darnold lead the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory last season. So, in what figures to be a completely merit-based approach to the most important position, whoever is ready to produce at the highest level will earn the job in Minnesota.

After nearly a decade of dormancy, one of Nintendo's most beloved franchises is finally making its comeback. Star Fox was announced during a surprise Nintendo Direct in May 2026 as a full remake of the classic Star Fox 64, and it's coming sooner than anyone expected. Originally released on Nintendo 64 in 1997, Star Fox 64 put players in the cockpit of Fox McCloud's Arwing as he and his team fought to liberate the Lylat system from the exiled scientist Andross. The game previously received a 3DS remake in 2011 (Star Fox 64 3D); then there was Star Fox Zero, released for the Wii U in […]

Last college football season saw the Ole Miss Rebels make the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history. Unfortunately, the Rebels’ playoff run was a controversial one, as Lane Kiffin and several other members of the coaching staff departed the program prior to the Playoff beginning to join the LSU Tigers, where Kiffin was hired to replace Brian Kelly.
Many felt that it was unprofessional and disrespectful for Kiffin to leave Ole Miss so abruptly, especially with the Rebels still competing for a national title at the time. However, Kiffin, who signed a $91 million contract to lead LSU, recently spoke to Vanity Fair about his decision, and had some interesting insights into what went the choice.
Per Smith, Kiffin said that Ole Miss’s ties to the confederacy led to recruiting challenges.
“Hey, coach, we really like you. But my grandparents aren’t letting me move to Oxford, Mississippi,” one recruit reportedly said.
“That doesn’t come up when you say Baton Rouge, Louisiana,” Kiffin said. “Parents were sitting here this weekend saying the campus’s diversity feels so great: ‘It feels like there’s no segregation. And we want that for our kid because that’s the real world.’”
There’s no denying that even without the challenges that he had to overcome at Ole Miss, LSU has an abundance of resources that most programs across the country have no chance to rival. However, between the timing of his exit and the massive contract he signed, the pressure is on Kiffin like never before. Only time will tell if he or LSU made the right choice.
This is a much more effective method than using 2025 win totals because those don’t take into account offseason changes teams make.
That’s important because, as we know, NFL teams can make drastic changes and leaps forward or backward after just one offseason.
Coming in with the easiest strength of schedule for this coming campaign is the Detroit Lions, who are followed by the New Orleans Saints, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets to round out the top five.
The five teams with the toughest schedules are the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams.
Here’s a look at the full rankings, from No. 1 (easiest) to No. 32 (hardest).

Apple made one of the best decisions for the iPhone 17 launch when it equipped the base model with flagship features, such as an LTPO OLED panel paired with the A19 SoC, which is mass produced on TSMC’s 3nm process. Sticking with the same $799 but offering double the storage, it was no surprise that the iPhone 17 would gain popularity, especially in China. Despite the myriad of options, not to mention consumers displaying an affinity towards domestic brands, Apple defied overwhelming odds as its base model approaches 30 million activations, which also explains why the iPhone 18 has been […]

Nintendo's share price took a 12% hit over the weekend following the confirmation of a price hike for the Nintendo Switch 2 set to go into effect this September, but that wasn't the only reason for the double-digit decline. An admittance that Nintendo's biggest titles are taking longer to make, forecasting that Switch 2 sales will actually go on a decline in the next year, and an admittance that memory shortages, tariffs, and longer development cycles for major titles are all major challenges for the company played their part in that stock decline. But president Shuntaro Furukawa isn't phased. During […]

A few days ago, modder PureDark released an upscaler that implements NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 with Dynamic Multi Frame Generation into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CD Projekt RED's game did not launch with NVIDIA DLSS, though of course, that's because its May 2015 debut far predates the advent of DLSS, which was first released in February 2019. However, it was updated with NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation, Reflex, and ray traced global illumination, ambient occlusion, shadows, and reflections when the developers dropped the so-called The Witcher 3 Next-Generation update in December 2022. Forza Horizon 6 is launching next week on PC and Xbox Series X|S, but a massive failure in Steamworks publishing leaked a fully playable build of the game without DRM. With the latest entry in the series being one of the biggest titles published by Xbox this year, the publisher is dealing with the situation in the harshest way possible, hitting users playing the leaked build with what essentially is a lifetime hardware ban. Caitlin Clark has always been known for her three-point shooting ability. However, she is in the midst of a rather significant slump from beyond the arc.
Even going back to her time at the college level with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Clark has been lethal from beyond the three-point line, as she has made more three-pointers than any player in NCAA history throughout her college career. She continued that hot shooting at the professional level, setting a rookie record for the most made three-pointers in a season.
Clark’s entire game revolves around the three-pointer as she shoots from beyond the arc at high volume and from long distances. In turn, the Fever offense relies heavily on Clark’s deep shooting, as her ability to stretch the court and draw attention from opposing defenses opens things up for other players.
Over the past several games, however, Clark has not exactly been on target from beyond the three-point line.
In Clark’s last eight WNBA games, she has made just 9 of 58 three-point attempts, which works out to just 15.5% from beyond the arc – an absolutely dismal three-point percentage.
For context, one fan pointed out that Dyson Daniels of the Atlanta Hawks, who just put up the worst shooting season in NBA history, has made 16 of his last 58 three-point attempts, which works out to 27.6% from beyond the arc. This means that the worst shooter in the NBA has been considerably outperforming Clark over the same span.
Needless to say, Clark’s struggles from beyond the arc have led to a lot of criticism from fans, considering that’s supposed to be her specialty.
“Stop callin her Steph Curry,” one fan wrote in a post on X.
“It’s getting scary for CC, I know she missed a ton of time so ima give her some grace. But boy it’s getting spooky for her,” someone else added.
“Once there’s tape, you gotta evolve. If not…well…” another fan wrote.
“Genuinely concerned about her health,” someone else added.
“This is why they want her off the ball so she can find some open space and bank one in but her fans hate it,” another commented.
“It’s not even the shooting issues. She’s turning the ball over at a generational rate. She has 294 turnovers in 54 career games,” another fan pointed out.
Obviously, it’s a long season, and Clark has proven to be a prolific scorer and shooter over the years, so she’ll likely bounce back. But it’s safe to say that fans are growing concerned.
Following the disappointing launch of the Steam Controller, which saw units sell out almost immediately, only to end up in the hands of scalpers, Valve introduced a reservation queue to prevent a repeat of the situation. As spotted in the same Steam update that introduced the system for the new controller, a similar safeguard will be in place for both the Steam Machine and the Steam Frame. Users analyzing the system via Steam Tracker have discovered code for four Steam Machine packages and two Steam Frame packages alongside the Steam Controller and Steam Deck entries. This heavily suggests that the […]
We might have a probable launch month for Gears of War: E-Day, The Coalition's new installment in the third-person shooter series. The rumor comes not from an insider but from an unlikely source: a sponsorship. During WWE Backlash on Saturday, May 9, it was announced that Gears of War: E-Day is the official presenting sponsor of AAA Triplemania 2026, the premier Lucha Libre event happening on September 11 and 13 in Mexico City. The thing is, publishers don't sponsor major live events months before their game releases: the whole point is to reach a mass audience at peak marketing momentum. Moreover, historically, […]

Renowned CAPCOM leaker Dusk Golem recently corroborated a claim from an anonymous insider that Ada Wong will appear in Resident Evil Requiem DLC. However, after Dusk Golem named that insider as his source, Reddit users went digging through the same person's post history and surfaced a series of additional CAPCOM-related claims, none of which Dusk Golem has vouched for. The leaker has since explicitly distanced himself from the two most attention-grabbing ones: "The Devil May Cry 1 Remake and RE10 protag rumor did not come from me. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) gets the crowd excited Saturday, May 9, 2026, during the second half of the Fevers season opener game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Dallas Wings defeated the Indiana Fever, 107-104.
Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is never one to shy away from showing emotion on the court, and that was the case once again on Saturday afternoon during the team’s season-opening showdown with the Dallas Wings.
During Saturday’s game, which prominently featured the past four No. 1 overall picks in the WNBA Draft, Clark had a strong showing in her return to the court after missing much of last year with an injury. Clark finished the game with 20 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in the season-opener, but it was not enough.
Despite Clark’s 20 points, the Fever fell to the Wings by a final score of 107-104 in what was often a frustrating game for Clark and the team. Clark turned the ball over five times in the loss, and three of those turnovers were offensive fouls called on the Fever superstar. And Clark made it pretty clear that she did not agree with many of those calls.
At one point in the game, Wings forward Aziaha James drew a charge on Clark, one of the three charges she was called for in the game. While James and her teammates celebrated the forced turnover, Clark could be seen expressing her frustration with the call.
“Flopping all [expletive] day,” Clark could be seen saying as she handed the ball back to the referee.
James’ teammates Jessica Shepard and Paige Bueckers could be seen smiling as they helped their teammate back to her feet amidst Clark’s complaints.
Adding to the frustrating game, Clark also missed a three-point shot that would have tied the game with seven seconds remaining.
It may not been the season-opener the team would have liked to have, but Clark and the Fever will have a chance to bounce back when they travel west to take on the Los Angeles Sparks in a game on Wednesday.

TSMC’s success in the semiconductor industry is primarily due to the manufacturer’s unyielding focus on its advanced processes and ability to achieve stability in record time, allowing the company to form long-term business relationships with trillion-dollar firms like Apple and NVIDIA. While being able to mass produce 3nm and 2nm wafers at a mammoth scale is certainly a tremendous feat, SMIC founder Richard Chang does not consider these accomplishments as a benchmark for success and calls it a misconception in the latest interview. Instead, he believes that there’s another attribute that semiconductor companies must acquire. SMIC’s founder says that “excellence […]

The 2025 Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition is one of those laptops that quietly wins you over the longer you use it. I’ve been testing it for well over a month now, and during that time, it accompanied me through launch events, flights, hotel stays, editing sessions, and long workdays. I haven’t personally used many competing premium 2-in-1 laptops recently, so I can’t directly compare them against every rival out there. But after spending this much time with it, I genuinely feel this is one of the best premium convertibles currently available.
The unit I tested comes with Intel’s Lunar Lake platform, a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen, and rotating hinge speakers. On Lenovo India’s website, this configuration is priced at Rs 1,74,005, firmly placing it in premium territory.
Built for travel and everyday productivity
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
One thing I appreciated almost immediately about the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition (14ILL10) is how practical it feels for frequent travel. I regularly attend launch events that often involve flying from Mumbai to Delhi and back, and those trips can easily stretch into 15 to 18-hour travel days. During those journeys, I’m constantly switching between airports, cabs, hotel rooms, and event venues while continuing to work.
The Yoga 9i handled that lifestyle extremely well.
The Luna Gray finish gives the laptop a premium look without feeling flashy. The aluminum build feels solid and reassuringly sturdy, while the 360-degree hinge remains smooth and firm no matter how often you switch between laptop, tent, or presentation mode.
And that flexibility genuinely becomes useful in real life. During hotel stays, I often used the laptop in tent mode while watching videos or listening to music. At work events or during quick presentations, the stand-style orientation also came in handy. Of course, you can fully fold it back into tablet mode as well, although realistically, because of the size and weight, I still found myself using it primarily as a laptop. Still, having the freedom to use different orientations depending on the situation adds a lot to the overall experience.
Despite being a convertible, the laptop never felt fragile during travel. It’s also reasonably portable for a premium 2-in-1, making it easy to slide into a backpack without becoming a burden during long commutes.
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
The port selection is also practical for a thin premium laptop. You get two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one additional USB-C port, a USB-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. I also found it interesting that the power button is placed on the side of the laptop instead of the keyboard deck area. It’s something I personally don’t encounter very often on laptops I use, but I eventually got used to it.
The keyboard deserves praise too. Lenovo continues to make some of the best laptop keyboards in the Windows space, and this one feels tactile and comfortable even during long writing sessions. There’s also a fingerprint reader placed as the extreme key on the bottom-right side of the keyboard. It works reliably, although the placement takes a little time to get used to. Also, there are dedicated buttons on the keyboard to switch between Power, Display, and Audio modes.
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
The keyboard backlighting is also quite good and genuinely useful in dim environments. One moment where I particularly appreciated it was while typing inside a moving car passing through a tunnel, where the backlit keys remained clearly visible without feeling overly harsh or distracting.
Speaking of productivity, the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition supports the Yoga Pen, but my review unit package did not include it.
Battery life removes charger anxiety
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
The biggest highlight of the Yoga 9i has easily been the battery life.
This is one of the few Windows laptops where I genuinely stopped worrying about carrying the charger everywhere. Even during heavier usage involving Chrome tabs, YouTube streaming, article writing, social media usage, and light editing, the battery comfortably lasted through most of my workday.
There were several times I carried a power bank expecting I might need a quick top-up, but honestly, I almost never ended up using it. And if needed, the laptop can conveniently charge through USB-C power banks anyway.
The laptop packs a 75Wh battery, and paired with Intel’s highly efficient Core Ultra 7 258V processor, the endurance is genuinely impressive for a premium OLED convertible. Lenovo bundles a 65W USB-C charger in the box, and charging speeds are fairly quick as well. In my usage, getting close to 50 percent charge in around 30 minutes felt realistic, which is especially useful during tight travel schedules between events and flights.
That kind of reliability matters a lot when you spend most of your day away from a desk.
Another thing I noticed is how quiet the laptop usually remains. During regular usage, fan noise is practically nonexistent. It’s only during charging or heavier workloads that the chassis becomes slightly warm.
That said, my testing conditions were far from ideal. During some of the review period, outdoor temperatures were reaching around 43 degrees Celsius, while indoor room temperatures still hovered between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius. Considering those conditions, the thermals are honestly respectable. During normal unplugged use, the laptop rarely became uncomfortably warm unless I pushed it with intensive workloads.
Lunar Lake delivers smooth everyday performance
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
The Yoga 9i configuration I tested comes powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 7 258V processor, paired with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Neither the RAM nor the storage is expandable on this device. For a thin-and-light 2-in-1 laptop, performance feels consistently smooth and responsive.
In daily usage, the laptop handled multitasking effortlessly. I routinely worked with dozens of Chrome tabs open alongside Discord, Microsoft Word, and multiple browser windows without noticing slowdowns. App launches feel snappy, Windows animations remain fluid, and the overall experience feels polished.
The Lunar Lake platform is clearly optimized around efficiency and AI-assisted workloads rather than brute-force benchmark numbers, but for the kind of usage most premium ultrabook buyers actually care about — productivity, multitasking, media consumption, presentations, light photo editing, and office workloads — it performs very well.
The integrated Intel Arc graphics are also surprisingly capable for casual gaming and lighter creative workloads. This is not a gaming laptop by any means, but it can comfortably handle lighter titles and some AAA games at lower settings if needed.
The 1TB SSD also deserves mention because file transfers and application loading speeds feel consistently fast throughout usage.
What stood out most to me, though, is how balanced the overall performance feels. The Yoga 9i never tries to behave like a bulky workstation laptop. Instead, it focuses on delivering a smooth premium ultrabook experience while staying relatively cool, quiet, and battery efficient.
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
The laptop also comes with a 5-megapixel IR webcam equipped with a c, and during my usage, I found it to be noticeably better than the average Windows laptop camera. It delivers good sharpness, decent colors, and reliable Windows Hello facial recognition for video calls and meetings, although in some indoor lighting conditions, the image can occasionally appear slightly soft or overexposed. Lenovo has also included a physical privacy shutter for the camera, which is always nice to have for added peace of mind.
OLED display and hinge speakers make this an entertainment powerhouse
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
The entertainment experience on this laptop is genuinely excellent.
The 14-inch 2.8K OLED display is easily one of the best aspects of the Yoga 9i. Blacks look deep, colors appear vibrant, and HDR content looks fantastic. Whether I was watching YouTube videos at hotels after events or catching up on shows during flights, the display consistently impressed me. The 120Hz refresh rate also adds noticeable smoothness while scrolling through Windows or browsing websites.
One thing worth mentioning is that the OLED panel uses a glossy glass layer on top, which gives the display a more reflective appearance near windows, under bright office lighting, or while using it outdoors. You can actually notice some of those reflections in a few of the images I’ve included in this review. Thankfully, the issue becomes much less noticeable once you increase the display brightness, since the panel itself gets sufficiently bright for most environments.
But what surprised me even more was the speaker setup.
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
I listen to a lot of music while working, and during this review period, I found myself listening to plenty of Michael Jackson tracks because the Michael Jackson movie was released around the same time. Songs like Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, and Beat It sounded fantastic on this machine.
The rotating soundbar hinge speakers are genuinely impressive. No matter which orientation you use the laptop in, the sound output remains loud, clear, and immersive. That’s the clever part of Lenovo’s implementation — whether you’re using the device in laptop mode, tent mode, or folded back for entertainment, the speakers continue projecting sound effectively.
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
There’s very little distortion even at higher volumes, vocals remain crisp, and overall sound quality is among the best I’ve heard on a Windows laptop this thin.
Windows touch still needs refinement
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
Lenovo has added a feature called Circle-to-Do, which I actually found useful over time.
If you swipe inward from the left side of the screen, you can activate the feature and quickly circle or select on-screen content to perform contextual actions. It feels somewhat like an AI-powered shortcut layer built directly into the system. It’s one of those small additions you may initially ignore but gradually start using more often.
That said, while the touchscreen hardware itself is excellent, I still feel Windows 11 is not fully optimized for touch-first usage.
Technically, you can use this laptop entirely without a mouse thanks to the touchscreen. But in real-world use, there are still moments where touch interactions simply don’t behave the way you expect. Certain menus don’t appear properly, some apps still feel designed primarily for mouse input, and occasionally you end up reaching for the touchpad anyway.
Touch support in Windows has definitely improved over the years, but if you plan to use this machine entirely as a tablet replacement, there will still be frustrating moments.
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
Honestly, I feel Microsoft should focus more on refining and streamlining the Windows touch experience instead of pushing Copilot features left, right, and center. Hardware like the Yoga 9i already proves how good premium touchscreen laptops have become. The software experience now needs to consistently catch up across the operating system and third-party apps.
Interestingly, I also feel the industry itself may slowly move in this direction. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple eventually launches an OLED touchscreen MacBook as early as next year, before gradually expanding touchscreen support across future MacBook models while perhaps keeping non-touch panels limited to entry-level variants. Premium laptop hardware is clearly evolving toward more interactive touch-first experiences, and Windows already has a major head start there — it just needs better optimization to fully capitalize on it.
Verdict
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1
The Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition feels like a premium laptop designed around portability, entertainment, battery life, and overall user experience rather than just raw benchmark numbers. And honestly, it succeeds at that.
The OLED display is gorgeous, the hinge speakers are among the best in the segment, battery life is genuinely dependable, and the overall build quality feels premium throughout. Add the flexibility of the 2-in-1 form factor, and this becomes an excellent companion for travelers, content consumers, and productivity-focused users alike.
I haven’t used many rival premium convertibles recently, but after spending over a month with the Yoga 9i, I can comfortably say this feels like one of the best 2-in-1 laptops currently available. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a premium convertible laptop.
That said, one thing buyers should keep in mind is that while Windows 11 generally works well, the touch experience still isn’t always perfectly smooth. There are occasional moments where touch interactions can feel inconsistent or less polished than they should on a device designed to be used in multiple orientations.
PS:Don’t mind the keyboard key smudges visible in some of the images added in this post. The Lenovo review unit sent to me had already been used and reviewed by someone else before reaching me, and it was also fairly dusty when I received it. Also, while Lenovo’s official listing mentions that the Yoga Pen is included in the retail package, the review unit sent to me did not include the stylus.
There is a torrent of jobs available for Apple’s visionOS platform, which may hint that the California-based giant is going through an aggressive hiring spree since there’s incredible demand for the Vision Pro. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman didn’t believe this was the case and, as a result, was receiving flak for shutting down claims that Apple’s expensive $3,499 mixed-reality headset was a dud, despite the myriad of job postings. Now, he has come forth to bury the confusion by mentioning that Apple has grand plans for the future of visionOS. New job posts are for optimizing the visionOS platform, not to […]

Smartphone titans like Samsung have made efforts to ensure that the DRAM crisis doesn’t adversely affect their ‘day to day’ operations, but these attempts were futile as the Korean giant has been forced to introduce a price hike to the Galaxy S26 series. However, the company is working to ensure that it minimizes additional component cost bumps by moving to a dual-sourcing strategy. Since displays are among the more expensive parts of a smartphone, the base Galaxy S27 could feature panels from Samsung and another manufacturer, but this could lead to quality disparities in the future. Chinese suppliers could become a […]
