More Samsung Galaxy S24 users getting December 2025 security update
Samsung is expanding the December 2025 security update for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones in Europe and Indonesia. The update is already out for users in South Korea.
This update improves the phone’s security and stability. Samsung has fixed 68 security issues, including both Android and Samsung-specific problems. These fixes help protect user data and make the device safer to use. It improves the system performance to make the phone run more smoothly.
The installation package size of this update is around 350MB. Users of the Galaxy S24 series can verify the December 2025 security update via the One UI build versions given below.

This December security update is based on Android 16 with One UI 8. The Galaxy S24 series is also eligible for the One UI 8.5 update.
Earlier this month, Samsung released the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series in a few countries. The company may expand this beta program to more Galaxy devices later, including the Galaxy S24 series.
