Austria June 2026: Hyundai up to #2, MG breaks records, sales up 22.9%

13 July 2026 at 19:45

The MG HS is up to a record 4th place in Austria in June.

34,256 new cars hit Austrian roads in June, a splendid 22.9% year-on-year improvement. The YTD total is now up 15% to 164,529. Volkswagen (+5.2%) and Skoda (+15.8%) remain atop the brands charts but both trail the market. BMW (+27.8%) outpaces it slightly but it’s Hyundai (+119.4%) that delivers the biggest gain in the Top 20, up 13 spots on May to #4 with 5.9% share. MG (+79.2%) is up 11 ranks to #9 with 1,301 sales and 3.8% share. This is the first time MG crosses the 1,000 monthly sales mark (previous best 726 in June 2025), and also a record ranking (previous best #14 in December 2024) and share (previous best 2.7% in March 2025). Leapmotor (+756.8%), BYD (+105.9%), Fiat (+94.8%) and Mazda (+60.4%) also impress below.

Over in the models charts, the Skoda Octavia (+16.3%) signs a second win in the past three months but remains at #2 year-to-date below the VW Golf (stable), itself down to #6 for the month. The Hyundai Tucson (+144.5%) justifies the brand’s performance and leaps from outside the May Top 20 directly into 2nd place. It earns a YTD Top 20 ranking as a result at #15. The Tesla Model Y (-21.6%) ranks #3 but freefalls year-on-year. Record performance by the MG HS (+510.1%) scoring its first ever Top 20 finish, directly at #4. The BMW X3 (+269%) is pushed up to #5 by its new iX3 BEV variant (65% of its June volume). Outstanding performances also by the Cupra Born (+312.7%), Opel Frontera (+239.3%) and BYD Seal (+131.1%).

Slovenia June 2026: Tesla Model 3 leads, Renault Twingo inside Top 10

13 July 2026 at 14:09

The Slovenian new car market shoots up 29.8% year-on-year in June to 6,684 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 17.3% to 35,343. Volkswagen (+17.9%) stays atop the brands charts at 12.9% share ahead of Renault (+0.5%) at 12%. Tesla (+323.6%) surges 21 spots on May to land at #3 overall with an exceptional 9.4% share, both records beating the previous best of #4 and 6.2% reached last March. The American brand now ranks #9 year-to-date vs. #16 over the Full Year 2025. Skoda (+0.7%) falls to #4 but remains #2 year-to-date. Opel (+100%), Ford (+39.2%) and Dacia (+38.6%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Leapmotor is the best-selling recent brand launch at #17 but is down five ranks on last month.

Model-wise, the Tesla Model 3 (+954.3%) is up 10-fold year-on-year to snap its second ever Slovenian win after last March and smashes its share record at 7.3%. The Renault Clio (-27.3%) is in complete freefall but manages to climb back up to #2 and to the #1 YTD place. The Renault Captur (-17.3%) and Skoda Octavia (-20.6%) also suffer greatly. In contrast the Ford Kuga (+182.4%), Peugeot 2008 (+92.2%) and VW Tiguan (+36.9%) all have a great month below. Produced locally, the new Renault Twingo is up 30 spots on last month to break into the Slovenian Top 10 at #8. This is believed to be the first Top 10 ranking for the new retro-styled vehicles, as it ranks #15 at home in France this month. The Telsa Model Y (+39.2%) and VW T-Roc (+45.2%) complete the Top 10 in solid fashion.

Czechia June 2026: Omoda/Jaecoo, Tesla highlight market up 18.9%

10 July 2026 at 11:17

The Omoda 9 is up to #22 overall in Czechia in June.

The Czech new car market soars 18.9% year-on-year in June to 26,398 units, leading to a H1 volume up 5.8% to 129,810. Local behemoth Skoda (+24.7%) manages to outpace its home market to 33.8% share, however this is well below the 36.8% it commands year-to-date. In 2nd place, Volkswagen (+57.4%) is even more dynamic and reaches 8.3% share vs. 7.6% so far this year. Hyundai (+17.8%) is more muted in third place but Toyota (-16.2%) and Dacia (-0.7%) fall. Renault (+18.2%) matches the market and reaches 3.6% share vs. 2.3% year-to-date. At #10, Tesla (+151%) signs its first Top 10 finish since September 2024 (#6). After reaching a record 6th place in May, Omoda/Jaecoo (+494.9%) falls back to a more reasonable #12.

Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (+30%) easily stays on top with 7.3% share, followed by the Kodiaq (+40.1%), Karoq (+45.5%) and Kamiq (+26.3%) also in outstanding shape. The Scala (+4.7%) and Fabia (+9.7%) complete a Top 6 entirely composed of Skodas, vs. Top 7 year-to-date. The Hyundai Tucson (+29.4%) is the best of the rest at #7 ahead of the Hyundai i30 (-0.3%) at #8. The Tesla Model Y (+131.6%) is up 18 spots on May to #10 which is the nameplate’s first ever stint inside the Czech Top 10 (previous best #12 in September 2024). The Dacia Bigster (+72.8%) and Skoda Enyaq (+216%) also shine below, with the Kia K4 (#15) the most popular recent launch, distancing the Omoda 9 (#22) and Chery Tiggo 4 (#65).

Romania June 2026: Market up 51.9%, Tesla at highest in 2.5 years

10 July 2026 at 07:42

The Tesla Model 3 is up to #7 in Romania in June.

16,120 new cars hit Romanian roads in June, a spectacular 51.9% year-on-year improvement. However keep in mind that June 2025 was off a daunting -50.3% on the year prior. As a result we remain well below the 21,358 units registered in June 2024. Nevertheless the YTD tally tilts into positive for just 32 sales at 64,853 (+0.05%). Local behemoth Dacia (+4.2%) remains in great difficulty in context and sees its share tumble down from 25.9% in June 2025 to just 17.7% this month. Toyota (+26.7%), Skoda (+32.6%) and Volkswagen (+40.6%) follow but all trail the market.

Renault (+65.9%) is up five spots to May to #5 but the best performer in the Top 10 is Tesla up 2532% year-on-year to #7 and 658 sales for a 4.1% share. This is the American brand’s highest ever ranking in Romania (also reached in July 2023 and January 2024), a record volume and best share since hitting 4.4% in January 2024. Its share record remains 4.7% in July 2023. Mazda (+289.2%) and Kia (+199.5%) also surge in the remainder of the Top 10 while just outside BYD (+49300%) breaks its volume record at 494.

Model-wise, the Dacia Logan (+58.7%) reclaims the top spot for the first time since last November, and rises from #5 to #2 in the year-to-date charts. The Dacia Duster (-22.3%) is relegated to 2nd place and sees its market share plunge from 11.1% a year ago in June 2025 to 5.7% this month. The Toyota Corolla (+53.6%) is down one spot on May to a still superb #3. The Skoda Octavia (+11.5%) vastly trails the market but climbs one spot on May to #4 while the Renault Clio (+56.4%) is up 14 ranks on last month to #5. The Tesla Model 3 (+7480%) surges 55 spots to #7 with 2.4% share, its best performance since January 2024 (#5 with 3% share). Meanwhile the Nissan Qashqai is up 2042.9% to #11 and the Tesla Model Y up 1422.2% to #13.

Previous month: Romania May 2026: MG and BYD break records

Including LCV the June tally stands at 17,686 with H1 volumes up 11.3% to 86,697. Skoda (+74.1%) threepeats at #1 in the PC brands ranking with 11.3% share vs. 9.9% over H1, keeping YTD leader Toyota (+25%) in 2nd place. Suzuki (+26.8%) is up 26.8% to #3. Nissan shoots up 468.6% to #4 and 7.1% share and ranks #3 year-to-date at +89.6% to 9.1% share. However this is almost entirely due to reexports which account for a whopping 81.4% of its sales over the First Half of 2025. The average reexport ratio is 18.7% vs. 21.8% last year. BYD (+227.2%), Hyundai (+45.8%) and MG (+41%) also shine below. Over in the PC+LCV brands ranking and over H1, Toyota (+16.1%) leads the way with 11.5% share above Ford (-16.6%) and Skoda (+25.9%). Nissan is up 86.1% to #4.

Looking at models (PC+LCV), the Skoda Octavia (+78%) is in the lead above the Nissan Qashqai (+713.7%), the latter owing its score to roughly 80% reexports. The Suzuki S-Cross (+68.7%) and Vitara (+33.5%) follow with the Toyota Corolla (+45.1%), Hyundai Tucson (+194%) and Kia Sportage (+69.7%) in tow. The Toyota Yaris Cross (+54%), Skoda Kodiaq (+41.9%) and Toyota C-HR (+21.8%) also make it into the Top 10. Ireland June 2026: Tesla at 35.6% share, Mercedes CLA in Top 10

8 July 2026 at 05:54

The Tesla Model 3 is the best-selling vehicle in Ireland in June with 19.9% share.

New car sales in Ireland traditionally slow down in the lead to the biannual licence plate change of July, and June volumes are down -10.2% year-on-year to just 2,187. The year-to-date tally is up 4.2% to 85,188. This month Tesla (+43.7%) suffocates the market with 35.6% share, or more than 1 in 3 vehicles sold. In fact five of the Top 6 brands vastly outpace the overall growth rate with at least double-digit gains. Mercedes (+308.3%) is the most impressive followed by BMW (+111.3%), Skoda (+56.7%) and Toyota (+51.9%). The odd one out is Volkswagen (-6.4%) at #5. Audi (+82.9%) also impresses at #9.

Like last year, Tesla manages a 1-2 with the Model 3 (+47%) in the lead at 19.9% share and the Model Y (+39.8%) at #2 with 15.7% of the market, selling over 5 times the amount of the #3, the Skoda Octavia (-1.5%). The Toyota Corolla (+87.5%) and RAV4 (+51.5%) brilliantly round out the Top 5 but are not as dynamic as the Skoda Enyaq (+462.5%), Mercedes CLA (+2050%) and E Class (+1333.3%). Leader year-to-date, the Toyota Yaris Cross (+42.9%) falls to #9 while the VW Tiguan (+81.8%) closes the Top 10.

Previous month: Ireland May 2026: Toyota RAV4 repeats at #1 in market up 38.3%

One year ago: Ireland June 2025: Tesla at 22.2% share, Smart #1 up to #3

Denmark June 2026: Tesla Model Y distant leader, Vinfast lands with 2.6% share

7 July 2026 at 12:45

Vinfast has landed in the Danish market.

The Danish new car market shoots up 12.8% year-on-year in June to 21,487 units. This way, the H1 volume is also up 12.8% to 101,032. BEVs account for 79.1% of the market for the month and 79.9% so far this year. Toyota (+126.6%) continues to post stratospheric gains, and distances a plunging Volkswagen (-33.1%). Tesla (+38.7%), Mercedes (+31.9%) and BMW (+22.9%) also impress and round out the Top 5. But Kia (+86.3%) is the only additional Top 10 member to beat the market. Just outside, Xpeng surges 229.5% to #11 and we welcome a new EV brand in the charts: Vietnamese Vinfast, landing directly at #13 with 2.6% share. However this is dedicated to ride-sharing and taxi firm Green SM, with private consumer sales unavailable at this stage.

Model-wise, the Tesla Model Y (+17.3%) repeats at a distant #1 for its second win this year but stays at #3 year-to-date. The Toyota bZ4X (+1175.4%) posts an extravagant YoY uptick at #2, as does the Kia Niro (+1733.3%) at #3. The Skoda Enyaq (+47.6%) is also in great shape while the Xpeng G6 (+279.1%) scores its second highest ever ranking at #5 (best is #4 in November 2024). Still leader year-to-date as it was also over the Full Year 2025, the Skoda Elroq (-71.3%) completely implodes YoY to #6. The Toyota C-HR+ is the most popular recent launch again at #9, followed by the VinFast VF 8 at #21.

Previous month: Denmark May 2026: BEVs at 78.7% share, Tesla and Toyota shoot up

One year ago: Denmark June 2025: Skoda Elroq up to 8.8% share

Finland June 2026: Toyota bZ4X and BMW iX3 break records

7 July 2026 at 10:14

First Finnish Top 10 finish for the BMW iX3.

7,433 new cars hit Finnish roads in June, a small 1.9% year-on-year improvement. This is enough to tilt the year-to-date volume into positive territory, albeit by just 7 sales at 36,585. Toyota (+70.6%) posts another fantastic month, climbing to 21.9% share, its highest since last October (22%). Skoda (+17.7%) overtakes a plunging Volkswagen (-35.9%) which was #1 a year ago in June 2025. Mercedes (+52.1%), Tesla (+70.4%) and BMW (+39.9%) are all on a roll below. In contrast Volvo (-20.3%) and Kia (-56.4%) implode. Excellent performances by Audi (+31.2%), Seat (+40.8%), Cupra (+173.7%), BYD (+553.8%) and Smart (+204.5%).

For the second month in a row, Toyota places five models inside the Top 6: the Corolla (+84.3%) repeats at #1 followed by the Yaris (+64.7%). The bZ4x (+3400%) surges to third place with 350 sales and 4.7% share, both records. The Yaris Cross (-15.5%) is down three spots on May to #5 and the C-HR (+108.6%) down one to #6. The Tesla Model Y (+63.7%) is once again the odd one out, this time at #4. The new Mercedes CLA (+1530.8%) continues to make waves at #6, with the VW T-Roc (+608.7%) and Tesla Model 3 (+85%) both in outstanding shape. Finally the BMW iX3 breaks into the Top 10 for the first time at #10.

Previous month: Finland May 2026: Toyota places five models in the Top 6

One year ago: Finland June 2025: Volkswagen #1 for the first time in 4.5 years, Kia Ceed signs first win

Croatia June 2026: BYD up to record 7th place, Seal 6 Touring in Top 20

7 July 2026 at 08:59

The Seal 6 Touring is the first BYD to enter the Croatian Top 20.

The Croatian new car market edges up 1.2% year-on-year in June to 8,886 units, leading to a H1 volume up 5.5% to 43,540. Skoda (-15.5%) reclaims the brands top spot off Volkswagen (+2.2%) despite a harsh YoY fall. Opel (-30.1%), Renault (-5.6%) and Toyota (+7.5%) camp on their May positions and complete the Top 5. Suzuki (+13.5%) is strong at #6 but no match for BYD up a phenomenal 5350% to #7 with 327 sales and 3.7% share, all records. Hyundai (+27%), Peugeot (+13.1%) and Ford (+9.8%) round out the Top 10, all in great shape. Below, notice Tesla (+242.4%), Jeep (+196.4%), Mazda (+97.8%) and Citroen (+40.7%).

Model-wise, the VW T-Cross (+35.5%) repeats at #1 and lodges its third win of the year after January but stays at #2 year-to-date. Just two sales below is the Skoda Octavia (-10%) which remains in pole position over H1. The new Opel Frontera (+2029.4%) confirms its fantastic success at #3, a ranking it now holds year-to-date as well. The Opel Mokka (-32.3%) rallies back up 10 spots on May to #4 but falls sharply YoY. The Renault Clio (-18.1%), also struggling, rounds out the Top 5. At #6, the Ford Puma (+12750%) has a freakishly good month which lifts it inside the YTD Top 20 at #18. Excellent performances also by the VW T-Roc (+122.2%), Suzuki S-Cross (+108.3%) and Skoda Kodiaq (+66.4%). First Top 20 finishes for the Cupra Terramar (#14) and BYD Seal 6 Touring (#20).

Ukraine June 2026: Top 10 is 100% SUV, Renault Duster cements lead

6 July 2026 at 09:25

The Renault Duster is the most popular vehicle in Ukraine in June.

The Ukrainian new light vehicle market is down -8.1% year-on-year in June to 6,102 units, leading to a H1 volume off -4.8% to 31,304. Toyota (-20.1%) easily retains the brands top spot with 12.4% share and despite a harsh year-on-year fall. This is to be compared with a 14.6% share year-to-date. Renault (+4.3%) defies the negative market to stay in 2nd place above Volkswagen (-10.2%) and Skoda (+7.4%). Hyundai (+0.3%), stable, rounds out the Top 5. Mercedes (+38.8%), Nissan (+13.1%) and BMW (+10.7%) also make themselves noticed in the remainder of the Top 10. BYD is down -31.4% to #7.

Over in the models ranking, here too we have a familiar face on top: the Renault Duster (-24.5%), also despite a steep YoY fall. The Hyundai Tucson (-2.4%) repeats at #2 ahead of the Toyota Prado (-5%). Excellent performances below by the VW Tiguan (+84.8%), Touareg (+56%) and Skoda Kodiaq (+37.1%). The Nissan Qashqai (+36.8%) also shines while the new BYD Sealion 6 is #10 again, making it the most popular recent launch in the country. The Top 10 is entirely composed of SUVs, with the Mazda CX-5 (-26.2%) and Toyota RAV4 (-57.7%) completing the list.Β

Previous month: Ukraine May 2026: Renault Duster now #1 year-to-date

Previous year: Ukraine Full Year 2025: Toyota and Renault Duster #1, BYD at 26.3% share in December
