Huawei is reportedly entering the Samsung domain with the launch of HarmonyOS and AI technology. The company revealed its plans to expand in the field of artificial intelligence and become an alternative to Nvidia.

According to Chosun, Huawei Korea CEO announced that the company plans to bring its HarmonyOS, AI computing cards, and data center solutions. The official said it wants to offer an alternative to Nvidia’s AI solutions.

In 2026, Huawei is expected to enter South Korea’s AI market with its latest chip. Ascend 950 is the latest AI chip developed by Huawei. That’s what the Chinese manufacturer aims to make available and accessible in South Korea.

At “Huawei Day 2025”, Balian Wang, CEO of Huawei Korea, stated: “We plan to officially launch AI computing cards and data center solutions. We intend to provide Korean companies with a ‘second option’ alongside Nvidia.”

CEO Wang also explained the potential target of Huawei in South Korea. Huawei plans to sell the “Ascend 950” in cluster units as part of its strategy to accelerate industrial applications in a leading Asian market.

Huawei will offer “end-to-end solutions,” including infrastructure hardware and software such as networks and storage.

HarmonyOS in South Korea

Huawei’s South Korea plans also include the launch of HarmonyOS. It’s the company’s in-house operating system that is now “open-source.” It would mark the first expansion of the OS outside the boundaries of China.

The US blocked Huawei’s access to cutting-edge technologies and GMS years ago. This move has made Huawei irrelevant in the smartphone market in terms of sales. However, it didn’t wipe out but came out with its own solutions.

CEO Wang confirmed Huawei plans to build an ecosystem by supplying its “Harmony” to Korean companies next year. The official cited that HarmonyOS is an open-source OS, and its evolution should be handled by an open-source organization.

Huawei phones won’t be expanded to South Korea, for now. With the company setting up footsteps in the country, we may see Pura and Mate soon. HarmonyOS would first expand to mobile firms and developers for ecosystem expansion.

Moreover, the device will include a 50MP main camera, IP54 dust and water resistance, and 25W fast charging. On the software side, it should run Android 16 with One UI 8, with an update to One UI 8.5 likely in the first half of 2026.

In the past, one HBM3E 12-layer chip cost about $300. Now, many customers are paying close to $500 for the same chip. This price is similar to what is expected for Samsung’s next-generation HBM4 chips.

The main reason for higher prices is the growing competition among AI companies. Firms such as OpenAI, Google, xAI, and others are launching more powerful AI models. To make these AI systems faster and more efficient, companies need powerful and energy-saving memory chips like HBM3E.

HBM chips are made by stacking multiple DRAM layers together, which makes them complex and difficult to produce. Because of this, Samsung cannot quickly increase supply, even as orders continue to rise.

Government decisions are also affecting demand. The US government recently allowed Nvidia to export its H200 AI chip to China. Since the H200 uses HBM3E, this approval has pushed demand even higher, which causes prices of both 12-layer and 8-layer HBM products to rise.

Samsung is trying to increase supply by converting some NAND flash production lines into DRAM lines. However, this takes time and cannot solve the shortage right away.

Aside from this, Samsung plans to start mass production of its next-generation HBM4 chips early next year. Until then, experts believe demand will stay strong, and prices will remain high as AI technology continues to expand worldwide.

After the July Unpacked, Samsung’s Yang stated that Samsung will “continue to align the GUI (Graphic User Interface) with the underlying style of the product for future releases, too.” Although Yang’s statement didn’t mention One UI 8.5 or the Galaxy S26 series, design deployment is indeed planned for these two upcoming products.

Galaxy AI:

One UI 8 is bringing AI goodies, and One UI 8.5 might take it up a notch, especially for the S26 series with its modern Exynos and Snapdragon chips. I’m hoping for smarter photo editing and AI-powered functionalities so iPhones may feel outdated.

Customization:

Android 16 is all about flexibility wth Material 3 Expressive, and Samsung might lean into that with new lock screen widgets, slicker themes, or better ways to tweak your home screen. I’m hungry for personalization features, so this one has got me excited.

Smoother Vibes:

One UI 8 already feels snappy even in Beta, with smoother animations. Early Geekbench scores for Galaxy devices running One UI 8 are promising, and One UI 8.5 could make your phone feel like new; fingers crossed for zero lag!

Foldable-optimized UI:

With the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 launching on One UI 8, I’m betting the One UI 8.5 will fine-tune multitasking for foldables. An earlier leak mentioned a bigger cover display on the Z Flip 7, so maybe we will see UI tweaks to make it shine.

Security Boosts:

Google’s Android 16 update has got cool stuff like post-theft lockdown, and Samsung is likely to double down with its own Knox-powered features. Privacy is a big deal, and I’m curious to see what the Galaxy maker adds here.

Navigation Picker:

Samsung could bring a Navigation Picker to the One UI 8.5 setup experience. Galaxy users will be able to choose their preferred navigation right from the initial setup between Swipe Gesture and 3-button navigation.

Proximity pairing

With Proximity pairing, hearable devices like Samsung’s Galaxy Buds can connect to an iPhone or iPad simply. Users bring the accessory close to the device, and a one-tap prompt appears to complete the setup.

Notifications

For Notifications, third-party watches, including Samsung Galaxy and other wearables, can now receive alerts from the iPhone. Users can view messages, calls, and other updates directly on the connected device and respond to them.

Meanwhile, these changes apply only to users and device makers in the EU.

The latest iOS Beta will open up access for users and developers across Europe. However, a full rollout will take place in 2026. For those living elsewhere, Apple should consider elevating interoperability.

The Realme 16 Pro series will debut in India on January 6. Ahead of the launch, Realme has been teasing key specifications of the phones and has now confirmed more details about the Pro variant. Earlier this month, Realme claimed that its upcoming Realme 16 Pro+ will ship with a processor more powerful than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Last week, however, the smartphone made an appearance on Geekbench with—surprisingly—the same chip that Realme said it would not use.

Now, the phone’s retail box image has also surfaced online. And guess what? The box imprinting confirms that the device is indeed powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

We are not sure why Realme is doing false marketing. The source of the image is a reliable tipster, which rules out the likelihood of the image itself being doctored.

Below is the official teaser, which shows Realme 16 Pro+ has an “industry-leading Snapdragon chip,” which performs better than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. It’s Realme logic now, and we’ll have to wait for the company to explain the discrepancy.

Beyond the chipset confusion, the box image also reveals some previously confirmed details. The Realme 16 Pro+ packs a 200MP main camera alongside a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens on the back. Powering the phone is a massive 7,000mAh “Titan” battery, paired with 80W fast charging.

Rest of the specs

The 16 Pro+ has already made its way to the TENAA database, revealing most of its specs. It flaunts a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with 10-bit color depth. The front also has a 50MP selfie camera, while the rear includes an 8MP ultrawide alongside above mentioned 200MP main and 50MP telephoto.

It runs on Android 16, which is layered with Realme UI 7. Globally, it is expected to receive three OS upgrades and four security updates. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster. 

The Realme 16 Pro+ is set to launch in India on January alongside the more affordable Realme 16 Pro.

Oppo is adding a new color option to the Oppo Reno 15 lineup in China. The company has confirmed that the Oppo Reno 15 Starry Pink variant will go on sale on December 31, 2025. Pre-orders for the new color are already live in the country. The Reno 15 series was first launched in China in November with Starlight Bow, Canele Brown, and Aurora Blue finishes.

The Starry Pink version focuses on design changes. Oppo says the phone uses an industry-first starburst grating process on the rear panel. This finish creates a star-like shimmer effect that changes as the phone is tilted. The back panel is paired with a textured metal frame and high-gloss ice-clear glass. Aside from these visual updates, the Starry Pink variant is expected to offer the same hardware and features as the existing Reno 15 models.

The Oppo Reno 15 features a 6.32-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2640 × 1216 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 3600 nits of local peak brightness. It also includes 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and OPPO Crystal Shield Glass protection.

The smartphone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor built on a 4nm process, with clock speeds of up to 3.25GHz. Graphics are handled by the Mali-G720 MC7 GPU running at 1300MHz. The device comes with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs Android 16 with ColorOS 16.

In the camera department, the Reno 15 packs a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, f/1.8 aperture, and optical image stabilization. It is paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture, along with a 50MP 3.5x periscope camera with OIS and an f/2.8 aperture. The rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps. On the front, there is a 50MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture, also capable of 4K 60fps video.

Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C audio. The phone carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include 5G SA and NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and USB Type-C 2.0. The device is backed by a 6200mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Positioned as an e-sports-centric flagship range, the series debuts with two models, Honor Win and Honor Win RT. Both devices focus on sustained gaming performance, long battery life, and thermal stability, highlighted by features such as a 10,000mAh Qinghai Lake battery, a built-in active cooling fan, a 185Hz high-refresh-rate display, and Snapdragon 8-series flagship chipsets.

Honor Win, Win RT specifications and features

Both Honor Win and Honor Win RT feature an identical physical footprint with a thickness of around 8.3mm and a metal frame paired with a glass-fibre rear panel. Motorola is prepping to launch a new smartphone series called the Motorola Signature in India. The device, according to rumors, will replace the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra as the company’s next flagship offering. 

The smartphone has now surfaced on Geekbench, confirming the moniker and chipset choice. The benchmark listing explicitly mentions the phone as Motorola Signature, so indeed the rumors were true.

Moreover, the Signature is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, paired with the Adreno 829 GPU. The test phone is running Android 16 and comes with 16GB of RAM.

In terms of performance, the Geekbench scores are in line with what you can expect from a flagship chip. The phone scored 2,854 points in the single-core test and 9,411 points in the multi-core test.

The first teaser arrives

Soon after its Geekbench spotting, the company also shared the first teaser for the Motorola Signature in India. It doesn’t reveal specs or design, but the company says to ”come back on t28, 2025.” While we are not sure, this could be a hint for the launch on December 28. 

Design-wise, leaked images seen in earlier reports suggest that Motorola isn’t straying too far from its existing Edge-series playbook. The device has a rectangular camera module at the top left, housing three camera sensors and an LED flash. The overall profile also looks slim. 

On the front, the Motorola Signature is expected to feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For cameras, the phone is rumored to pack a 50MP triple-camera setup, including a main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera.

Lastly, leaked information suggests the phone will be available in at least three color options: black, green, and bronze.

Honor is set to launch its first Honor Win series phones in China today. The Win and Win RT are performance-focused handhelds with Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 10000mAh battery.

Next in January, the company is expected to launch a mid-range performance phone called the Honor Power 2. It could be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8500 and a 10,080mAh cell. 

Despite these beefy specs, the main talking point of Power 2 could be its design. A Weibo tipster who goes by the alias Panda is Bald shared an image showing the phone’s design, and yeah, it looks like iPhone 17 Pro. 

It’s not very inspiring 

The device has a panned camera module housing three lenses in Apple’s fashion, and the LED cutout is also on the left. In fact, the hero color of the Power 2 seems to be Orange, just like the new Pro iPhones. Apart from this, the phone might be available in Black and White shades. 

For better or worse, Chinese manufacturers, big or small, have always tried to bring Apple’s flavor to their own devices. A recent example is the Xiaomi 17. So we shouldn’t be as surprised by Honor doing the same thing. But yeah, it’s not very inspiring. 

The Honor Power 2 is also expected to feature a 6.79-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 16MP front-facing camera. A 50MP lens will lead the rear setup. 

Pairing with Dimensity 8500 is 12GB of RAM and Android 16-based Magic OS 10. Tumors say the same chip will also power Redmi Turbo 5, Poco X8 Pro, and Realme Neo 8 SE. 

The Turbo 5 could be the first phone to feature the said chip, but it will remain exclusive to China. The Poco X8 Pro will arrive as a global version of the Turbo 5.

The all-new Exynos Modem 5410 is a standalone modem designed to pair with next-generation flagship processors. Built on a 4nm EUV process, the modem supports 3GPP Release 17 and delivers download speeds of up to 14.79Gbps through combined sub-6GHz and mmWave connectivity.

Its most notable feature is integrated satellite communication, bringing together LTE Direct-to-Cell, NB-IoT NTN, and NR-NTN on a single chip. This allows voice calls, text messaging, location sharing, and even video communication in areas with no terrestrial network coverage.

Beyond speed and coverage, Samsung has focused heavily on security. The modem supports Hybrid Post-Quantum Cryptography, ensuring sensitive data such as device identifiers remain protected against future quantum-based threats. By separating the modem from the main processor, Samsung can also manage heat more effectively while allowing each component to be optimized independently.

The Exynos 2600 is Samsung’s first 2nm flagship processor and is expected to power select Galaxy S26 models. By removing the integrated modem, Samsung has freed up silicon space for the CPU, NPU, and AMD-based GPU, prioritizing performance, efficiency, and advanced on-device AI.

Realme is getting ready to kick off 2026 with two new smartphone launches. Part of the Realme 16 series, the company will announce the 16 Pro 5G and 16 Pro+ 5G on January 6 in India. Ahead of that announcement, a fresh leak has shed some light on what the more premium Realme 16 Pro+ 5G might cost.

According to well-known tipster Paras Guglani, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is expected to carry a maximum retail price of Rs. 43,999. As is usually the case with early leaks, this figure isn’t official. 

Realme is likely to announce launch offers, bank discounts, or limited-time deals that could bring the actual street price down. There was no Realme 15 Pro+ to compare the price to its predecessor; however, the Realme 14 Pro+ launched at Rs 29,999. So that’s indeed a steep increase in a couple of generations. 

Realme 16 Pro+ 5G: What to expect

The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is confirmed to ship with a 200MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto lens. The phone will run on a Snapdragon chipset, which Geekbench shows could be a tweaked version of Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. 

Design-wise, the Pro+ appears to follow a similar look to the Realme 16 Pro, with color options including Master Gold, Camellia Pink, and Master Grey.

On the software side, the phone will ship with Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. Realme has also committed to three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches for 16 Pro+. The device will include intelligence features like AI Edit Genie 2.0.

The January 6 launch event won’t just be about smartphones. Realme has also confirmed the debut of the Realme Buds Air 8 and the Realme Pad 3. All of these products are expected to go on sale through Realme’s official website and Flipkart shortly after launch.

DDR5 memory prices remain high, and relief doesn’t appear to be coming anytime soon. With demand from AI servers and data centers soaking up supply, some analysts believe tight conditions could last well into 2027. For everyday PC builders, that’s pushing upgrades further out of reach.

Instead of waiting, a small group of hardware enthusiasts is trying something unusual: building DDR5 memory modules by hand.

The idea isn’t entirely new. Modders have long experimented with GPU VRAM upgrades by soldering higher-capacity chips onto existing boards. Now, that same mindset is being applied to system memory. The process involves sourcing blank DDR5 PCBs, buying individual memory ICs, and assembling the module manually.

According to Pro Hi-Tech, the parts are easier to find than many would expect. Chinese manufacturers reportedly sell pre-designed DDR5 PCBs, reducing the complexity for experienced builders. The remaining challenge is precision soldering and validation.

A DIY 16GB DDR5 module is estimated to cost around 12,000 rubles, or roughly $150. In comparison, branded retail options such as A-Tech’s 16GB DDR5 5600 MHz module sell for about $190. The gap could widen if component prices fall or if parts are sourced in bulk.

This approach is clearly not for everyone. It requires steady soldering skills, access to testing tools, and a willingness to risk instability or failed modules. There’s also no warranty safety net if something goes wrong.

Even so, the trend reflects growing frustration among PC builders. As DDR5 remains expensive and supply stays tight, DIY memory projects highlight how far some enthusiasts are willing to go to keep their systems moving forward.

DDR5 memory prices have been climbing steadily, pushing many PC builders to look back at DDR4 as a more affordable option. That shift hasn’t gone unnoticed. Samsung is now expected to continue producing DDR4 into 2026, even after previously signaling plans to wind it down.

The decision appears to be driven by sustained demand, particularly from enterprise customers. According to industry reports, Samsung has signed a non-cancellable, non-returnable (NCNR) supply agreement with a large client. The deal locks in fixed pricing and volumes, mainly for server and data-center use, including systems built for AI workloads.

That structure offers Samsung protection against price swings, but it also means consumer markets are unlikely to see a sudden influx of cheap DDR4. Production will continue, but much of the output is effectively spoken for.

SK Hynix is said to be taking a similar approach. While it has not fully exited DDR4 manufacturing, there are no signs of a major ramp-up. As a result, supply constraints could linger across both DDR4 and DDR5, keeping prices higher than many buyers would like.

There is, however, a silver lining for some PC users. Intel’s 12th-, 13th-, and 14th-generation processors still support DDR4 on compatible motherboards, extending the life of older platforms. Board makers are responding to that demand.

Not everyone expects prices to keep rising indefinitely. On the Hardware Unboxed Podcast, Sapphire PR manager Edward Crisler suggested memory pricing could stabilize within the next six months. He also pointed out that gamers have historically adapted well during periods of hardware shortages.

For now, DDR4’s extended production offers a stopgap rather than a solution. With enterprise customers taking priority, meaningful relief for consumers may still be some way off.

Xiaomi has launched its most advanced air-conditioning system to date at the Xiaomi × Leica imaging strategy upgrade event. The new Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro Dual Air Wheel series is the first central air conditioner developed and manufactured by Xiaomi’s smart home appliance factory. It is available in both standard and dual-outlet versions, with configurations ranging from 5 HP to 8 HP.

Specifications

The system targets larger homes between 120 square meters and 190 square meters, offering one-to-four, one-to-five, and one-to-six indoor unit setups. The flagship model supports up to 8 HP and features a dual-outlet design for both upward and downward airflow.

Xiaomi equips the system with a dual-cylinder vapor injection compressor and triple-row condensers and evaporators, enabling stable operation from −35°C to 65°C. It sustains heating at −30°C and strong cooling above 40°C, while a 556 mm dual air wheel with dual 200W motors delivers 7,008 m³/h airflow to cool a full living room in five minutes.

The 8 HP model achieves an APF rating of 5.40, qualifying for China’s Super Grade 1 energy efficiency level. Xiaomi claims a single bedroom consumes only 2.5 kWh overnight using its 6 Hz ultra-low-frequency technology.

Xiaomi includes a 10-inch smart panel with every unit. The panel links with air purifiers, humidifiers, and fresh air systems. It can automatically adjust based on PM2.5, CO2, and humidity levels to maintain a stable indoor environment.

The top-tier dual-outlet version adds human-sensing radar to detect user position and adjust airflow accordingly. It includes cooling avoidance, heating follow, and energy-saving when unoccupied. Xiaomi also provides free installation and a 10-year warranty across all models.

Pricing

Regarding pricing, the standard 5 HP model, designed for up to four rooms, starts at 25,999 yuan ($3,639). The 6 HP and large 6 HP variants are priced at 27,999 yuan ($3,919) and 32,999 yuan ($4,619), respectively. The 7 HP version suited for one-to-six setups comes in at 37,999 yuan ($5,319), and the top-tier 8 HP standard model costs 43,999 yuan ($6,159).

The most advanced option in the lineup, the 8 HP Dual Outlet version, retails for 51,999 yuan ($7,279), offering upgraded airflow control and human-sensing features.

Realme sold over 100,000 units of its Narzo 90 Series within 12 hours of launch on December 23, marking the lineup’s strongest performance since 2022.

The base Narzo 90 saw 200% higher sales than its predecessor in the first 30 minutes. The Narzo 90x brought in ₹120 crore in revenue and topped Amazon’s smartphone sales for Q4 2025. Meanwhile, the P4x led on Flipkart.

Narzo 90x Specs

The Narzo 90x launched December 16 with a 6.8-inch LCD screen at 1570×720 pixels, 144Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling, and 1,200 nits peak brightness with DT-Star D+ glass.

It runs on MediaTek Dimensity 6300 (2x Cortex-A76 at 2.4GHz, 6x Cortex-A55 at 2GHz) with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. RAM options include 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X with 128GB eMMC5.1 storage, expandable to 2TB via microSD.

The camera system has a 50MP Sony IMX852 rear sensor (f/1.8) and 8MP front camera (f/2.0), both recording 1080p at 30fps. Other features include side fingerprint sensor, single bottom speaker with 400% Ultra Volume, IP65 rating, and MIL-STD 810H certification.

Xiaomi has officially launched the Buds 6, a new pair of flagship semi-in-ear true wireless earbuds, priced at 699 yuan ($99). The earbuds are available in four color options: Nebula Purple, Pearl White, Titanium Gold, and Moon Shadow Black.

Xiaomi Buds 6 Specifications

The Xiaomi Buds 6 features a semi-in-ear design that focuses on comfort and lightweight construction. Each earbud weighs approximately 4.4 grams. Xiaomi has adopted a biomimetic curved shape to improve long-term wearability. The earbud stem is now 12% narrower, and the sound nozzle is 11.3% thinner. The contact area has increased by 8.8% to distribute pressure more evenly across the ear. These design changes are aimed at reducing discomfort during extended listening sessions.

The charging case has a compact, pebble-shaped design that fits comfortably in the hand. The Nebula Purple variant includes a special reflective finish for a more premium appearance.

The Buds 6 is equipped with a custom triple-magnet dynamic driver system. The driver uses a 24K gold-plated diaphragm and delivers improved low-frequency sensitivity by 40% and enhanced high-frequency sensitivity by 30%. The earbuds support a wide frequency range from 16Hz to 40kHz, aiming for a balanced sound signature across bass, mids, and treble.

Xiaomi worked with Harman’s Golden Ear team to tune the Buds 6, offering Harman AudioEFX for clearer vocals and a Master mode that adds warmth and deeper bass, alongside EQ presets and custom tuning in the Xiaomi Earbuds app. The earbuds support 24-bit/48kHz audio at up to 2.1 Mbps, with SBC, AAC, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless codecs, plus Snapdragon Sound and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certifications.

The earbuds come with active noise cancellation and a three-microphone AI noise reduction system. Xiaomi claims the system can handle wind speeds up to 12 m/s. Spatial audio with built-in head tracking enables immersive surround sound without relying on external hardware.

The Buds 6 supports independent recording using the earbuds or charging case, even when the case is closed. Features such as real-time transcription, AI summaries, face-to-face translation, and simultaneous interpretation are available when paired with compatible Xiaomi devices. The earbuds support Xiaomi Find and Apple Find My for location tracking.

In terms of battery life, the earbuds deliver up to 6 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC off and up to 35 hours with the charging case. With ANC enabled, playback drops to 3.5 hours and up to 20 hours with the case. The Buds 6 charge via USB-C and carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

At the event, the company also launched the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Xiaomi Watch 5.

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi Watch 5 at its imaging strategy upgrade event alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The smartwatch starts at 1,999 yuan ($284) for the standard version, while the eSIM variant is priced at 2,299 yuan ($327).

Xiaomi Watch 5 Specifications

The Xiaomi Watch 5 features a 47mm stainless steel case and a 1.54-inch AMOLED display with a 2.6mm ultra-narrow bezel. The screen supports up to 1500 nits of global brightness and runs at 60Hz. Xiaomi uses synthetic sapphire glass for both the display and the heart rate sensor window to enhance durability.

The watch runs on a dual-chip, dual-system architecture. It combines a Snapdragon W5 wearable processor based on a 4nm process with the BES2800 low-power chip. The Snapdragon W5 handles high-performance tasks and visuals, while the BES2800 manages background operations and health tracking to optimize battery life. Xiaomi claims the Watch 5 can last up to six days in performance mode and up to 18 days in power-saving mode.

Xiaomi Watch 5 supports eSIM on select variants, allowing the smartwatch to connect directly to 4G networks without relying on a paired smartphone. The watch handles voice calls, text messages, WeChat, and Alipay payments independently, while also supporting music streaming and turn-by-turn navigation through Baidu Maps. Xiaomi also includes a built-in app store, offering a wide range of applications spanning fitness, social networking, navigation, and everyday utility use.

The watch includes advanced health monitoring features. It supports ECG heart rhythm analysis with 30-second readings and detailed reports. Xiaomi also introduces an EMG muscle signal sensor for the first time on a smartwatch. The sensor detects subtle electrical signals from muscles and allows users to control calls, media, alarms, and connected devices with finger movements. Additionally, it includes continuous heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep analysis, stress detection, and one-tap health scans.

The Watch 5 offers over 150 sports modes. It includes indoor gym modes with 3D animated guidance, automatic rep counting, and detailed performance evaluation. Outdoor features include offline maps, route navigation, deviation alerts, and track-back assistance for hiking and trail running.

The device ships with multiple strap options, including black and khaki fluoroelastomer bands, leather straps, and a premium 3D-printed titanium band. It supports contact-based charging and integrates with Xiaomi’s HyperOS system. The watch also supports the Super XiaoAi voice assistant with on-device processing.

Sony is not known for luxury watches, but for PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, it tried something very different. The company partnered with Hong Kong watchmaker Anicorn to release a limited-edition mechanical watch inspired by the original 1995 PlayStation console. Only 300 units are being made worldwide. The price is $780. Pre-orders opened in December 2025, and deliveries are expected by mid-2026. The watch sold out almost immediately.

Built Like a PlayStation From the 90s

The design focuses heavily on nostalgia. The stainless-steel case uses the same gray tone as the first PlayStation console. The dial features the controller symbols Triangle, Circle, X, and Square as hour markers. The hour and minute hands are shaped like the Start and Select buttons. The rubber strap includes PlayStation color symbols and matching markings. The watch does not hide its inspiration. Every surface ties back to the PS1 era.

This Is a Real Mechanical Watch

Inside the case is a Miyota 9039 automatic movement made in Japan. An automatic mechanical watch does not use a battery. It runs through a system of springs and gears, and it powers itself from the natural movement of the wearer’s wrist. As long as the watch is worn regularly, it keeps running without needing manual winding.

The movement is only 3.9 mm thick and provides a 42-hour power reserve, meaning it will continue running for nearly two days even when not worn. The transparent caseback allows the full movement to remain visible. This is not a decorative piece. It is a proper mechanical watch. Anicorn also added a digital element with an NFC accessory shaped like a PlayStation memory card, which connects to an online memory board.

Where It Stands Next to Other Luxury Collabs

Gaming and watches crossing over is not new. TAG Heuer, Seiko, and Casio G-Shock have all done game-themed models before, but those usually stick to quartz or digital setups. That is where Sony’s watch feels different. Going with a mechanical movement puts it closer to traditional watchmaking than fan merch. You can see the same mix of tech and luxury in products like the Panerai Luminor Marina Razer Edition, which was limited to 500 units and came with DLC coating and a three-day power reserve, or the Apple Watch Hermès, which pairs premium materials with everyday tech.

Does the Price Make Sense

At $780, the PlayStation watch sits between merch and traditional luxury watches. The price is supported by the mechanical movement, limited production, and brand value. This is not built for casual buyers. It targets collectors and long-time PlayStation fans.

So What Is It Really

This watch does not try to replace smartwatches or introduce new tech features. It turns gaming history into a physical collector item that also functions as a real mechanical watch. That makes it more than a novelty.

Xiaomi has officially launched its latest flagship, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, at an event in China. Alongside the standard version, Xiaomi also introduced a special Leica Edition featuring exclusive hardware and design elements.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Specifications

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a 6.9-inch M10 OLED LTPO flat display with a resolution of 2608 × 1200 pixels and 420 PPI, approaching 2K clarity. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and has an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate.

It offers DC dimming, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and is protected by Xiaomi Ceramic Glass 2.0. For eye comfort, the device features TÜV Rheinland triple eye-protection certification and full RGB pixel layout.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The chipset includes two ultra-large 4.6GHz Oryon cores, six 3.62GHz performance cores, and an Adreno 840 GPU with 18MB cache. Xiaomi has incorporated a dual ring-shaped liquid cooling pump, optimized for both CPU and camera heat dissipation, improving thermal conductivity by 50%.

The phone runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0, offering a deeply integrated software experience. New ecosystem features allow Xiaomi phones to mirror and control Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Macs. Xiaomi-to-Xiaomi and iPhone-to-Xiaomi two-way mirroring is also supported.

The 17 Ultra focuses heavily on imaging. The main camera uses a 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L sensor co-developed with Leica, delivering 50MP resolution and 14EV native dynamic range. It incorporates LOFIC ultra-dynamic range tech, promising unmatched night and backlit photography.

The telephoto camera is a 200MP Leica continuous optical zoom lens, supporting lossless optical zoom between 75mm and 100mm, extending digitally to 400mm. The system includes Leica’s APO certification, 3G+5P floating lens, and supports 30cm telephoto macro shots.

The ultra-wide sensor is a 50MP shooter with a 115° FOV and 5cm macro support. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera supports 4K 60fps recording.

Under the hood, the phone is equipped with a massive 6,800mAh Jinshajiang battery, the largest in any Xiaomi Ultra device. It supports 90W wired, 50W wireless, 22.5W reverse wired, and 20W reverse wireless charging. It also supports 90W PPS universal protocol for wider charger compatibility.

The 17 Ultra weighs 223.4g and measures 8.29mm thick, making it the thinnest Ultra to date. It features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and satellite communication support. The phone is rated IP66, IP68, and IP69 for water and dust resistance.

Lenovo has launched the Watch GT Pro smartwatch in China. The new model targets outdoor and fitness enthusiasts with features such as dual-frequency GPS and up to 27 days of battery life. The Watch GT Pro is priced at 899 yuan ($128) and is now available on JD.com.

The smartwatch features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels. The panel uses Corning glass to protect the screen against scratches.

Lenovo has built the watch with a zinc-magnesium alloy frame, a fiberglass-reinforced nylon back, stainless steel buttons, and a silicone strap. The watch supports both Android and iOS platforms. It comes equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and allows users to make Bluetooth calls, check call history, and view notifications directly from the watch.

The dual-frequency GPS system improves location tracking accuracy during outdoor activities. Lenovo has also included sensors for altitude and barometric pressure, along with a digital compass. These features aim to support navigation and fitness tracking in real-time.

The Watch GT Pro supports over 170 sports modes, covering both indoor and outdoor workouts. It supports 5ATM water resistance, rated for depths of up to 50 meters. Lenovo has also added a dedicated swimming algorithm that tracks strokes, pace, laps, duration, and calories burned.

Health features include continuous heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep monitoring, stress measurement, and guided breathing exercises. Sleep tracking breaks down light, deep, and REM sleep stages to provide insights into sleep quality.

The watch comes with a 470mAh lithium polymer battery. The company claims it can last up to 27 days on a single charge in long endurance mode and about 7 days under heavy usage. Charging takes around three hours via a magnetic cable.

OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Turbo series of smartphones in January in China. Expected to launch in January, the Turbo series is expected to include two models, powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and the Snapdragon 7-series chip. A new leak, courtesy of AndroidHeadlines, has seemingly revealed the design and specs of the Snapdragon 7-series variant.

OnePlus Turbo “Prado” design, specs revealed

Design-wise, the OnePlus Turbo (codenamed Prado) reportedly sticks to a familiar layout with a rear camera module positioned in the upper-left corner. The phone is said to use a glossy plastic back, hinting at aggressive pricing for markets like India. Two color options are currently being tested, a greenish blue shade and a standard black finish.

According to information shared by Android Headlines, this device is expected to debut in China first. Outside China, it is likely to arrive under the Nord branding, following OnePlus’ existing regional strategy. The device is said to feature a massive 9,000mAh battery paired with 80W fast charging, positioning it well above typical mid-range phones in terms of endurance.

The display is another area where the Turbo appears to stand out. Leaks point to a 6.8-inch flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is expected to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, running OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. Samsung equipped the Exynos 2600 mobile processor with a GPU based on AMD RDNA4 architecture. This is the first time RDNA4 appears in a smartphone chip, and the processor will power Galaxy S26 in select countries.

According to TheElec, Samsung Galaxy S26 will use Exynos 2600, which features Xclipse 960 GPU based on MGFX4 (AMD RDNA4) architecture.

Pay attention, MGFX is Samsung’s modified version of AMD’s RDNA graphics technology, scaled down for mobile phones. The last generation Exynos 2500 chipset used MGFX3, which came from AMD’s RDNA3.

A semiconductor industry official explained, “Receiving core IP and directly designing the actual internal circuits or physical layout is referred to as ‘utilization’.”

Xclipse 960 has eight Workgroup Processors, the same count as before. But Samsung lowered the maximum clock speed from 999 MHz to 980 MHz. The GPU doubles computing performance over the previous generation.

A WGP is AMD’s computational building block in RDNA architecture. Each one typically contains two Compute Units. The clock speed reduction likely means Samsung focused on efficiency rather than pushing peak speeds.

Early Geekbench 6 benchmarks showed Exynos 2600 scored 22,000 on OpenCL and 22,800 on Vulkan. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 usually reaches 23,900 and 27,600 in the same tests, which is 10 to 20 percent faster.

Samsung also introduced Exynos Neural Supersampling with this chip. ENSS works like NVIDIA’s DLSS, which utilizes artificial intelligence to increase frame rates and improve image quality without requiring more GPU power.

A Samsung representative stated, “There are many variables in GPU development, and it is difficult to give a definitive answer regarding future in-house development. The LSI Division will continue its cooperation with AMD.”

Samsung Galaxy A37 5G will have a broad release in the US. The company is developing specific versions for various US carriers, Verizon, and unlocked devices. The phone’s Canadian and Global version also appeared in certification.

The upcoming Galaxy A37 5G will get a full-fledged launch in the US. Bluetooth SIG listing, spotted by Mohammed_K_2010, revealed the phone’s carrier-locked and unlocked, Verizon-branded, Canadian, and Global versions.

The authority’s website listed Galaxy A37 as a “qualified product.” The development and testing are going on swiftly, with the company reportedly planning to bring it a little earlier than usual in the following year.

iPhone Air has a 48MP wide-angle camera, which its sequel would retain. There’s not much known about the second camera sensor of the iPhone Air 2, but it is expected to be a 48MP sensor used as an ultrawide module.

The original iPhone Air brings a single rear camera, just like the SE and iPhone 16e phones. Samsung brought two exceptional image sensors to its very first model in the segment, with one featuring 200MP resolution.

Additionally, GSMArena reports that Apple might reduce the price of the iPhone Air 2 to $899. The S25 Edge at $1,099 is already $100 expensive than the iPhone Air, and an additional $100 drop will make iPhone more appealing.

According to SeoulEconomicDaily, Korean giants Samsung and SK Hynix are initiating mass production of HBM4 in February 2026. The companies will bring the 6th generation of High Bandwidth Memory to the world simultaneously.

Samsung Electronics will start HBM4 mass production at its Pyeongtaek campus in February. SK Hynix will also kickstart full-scale HBM4 production at its M16 plant in Icheon and the M15X fab in Cheongju.

The report also details the methods used behind HBM4 production.

• Samsung is trusting its “turnkey” solution, handling everything from design to production, and its advanced micro-processing technology.
• SK Hynix utilizes TSMC’s 12nm logic process for the “base die,” doubling the bandwidth and improving efficiency by over 40 percent.

Samsung and SK Hynix are major suppliers of HBM4 for NVIDIA’s AI future. NVIDIA is set to utilize HBM4 in its next-gen AI chip, Rubin. While Korean firms are leading the charge, Micron is trailing in commencing HBM4 production.

When it comes to output, Samsung leads with a monthly capacity of 170,000 wafers compared to SK Hynix’s 160,000. The former company plans to leverage this capacity to improve HBM4 yields and technical prowess.

HBM is a prime component for the AI era as it’s heavily used in applications such as high-end servers and AI datacenters. It’s beneficial, but became the biggest reason behind the surging costs of general-purpose DRAM memory.

Samsung and BOE cooperation is bolstering after the recent patent settlement, and a deal for Galaxy S displays is allegedly on the cards.

Samsung Display is a prime supplier of OLED screens for flagship devices. Not just Galaxy S, but Galaxy Z and Galaxy Tab devices prioritize in-house OLEDs. BOE might be awarded with a small portion for premium devices, via Dealsite.

Recently, BOE’s Chairman Chen Yanshun met with Samsung’s TM Roh to deepen ties. MX Division may cut a little portion of Samsung Display and hand it to Chinese vendor BOE, and the volume could be adjusted further.

The meeting was held for LCD panel supplies for TVs, but industry insiders believe it also covered smartphone OLED supply. In the past, Samsung sourced screens for its non-flagship Galaxy A/M/F series phones from BOE.

BOE is joining Samsung Mobile’s supply chain once again, and it could secure orders for Galaxy S displays, as per Jukan. The deal hasn’t finalized yet as the Chinese OLED giant has just made a request to officials.

Samsung’s MX Division is facing issues due to rising costs of application processors, camera sensors, and DRAM. That said, the company is exploring ways to reduce costs to avoid a steep price hike in smartphones.

BOE is credible as it has Apple as its only global customer. Apple uses BOE-made OLEDs in low-tier iPhone models along with panels made by Samsung and LG Display. We may see Galaxy S phones featuring BOE screens in the future.

Samsung is preparing new technology for its future smartphones, starting with the Galaxy S26 series. The company has introduced a new 5G modem, the Exynos Modem 5410. This modem is expected to work with Samsung’s latest processor, the Exynos 2600.

The Exynos 2600 is the world’s first smartphone chip made using a 2nm process. This chip differs from earlier Exynos processors in that it does not include a built-in modem. To handle mobile networks, Samsung has designed a separate modem instead.

That separate modem is the Exynos Modem 5410. It is built using Samsung’s 4nm FinFET process, which helps improve power efficiency. This means smartphones using it may consume less battery while staying connected. The modem supports both sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G networks.

Samsung says Exynos Modem 5410 can deliver peak download speeds of up to 14.79Gbps. It also supports older network standards such as 2G, 3G, and 4G. This ensures reliable connectivity in many regions around the world.

The biggest upgrade in this modem is satellite connectivity. The Exynos Modem 5410 supports three satellite communication technologies – LTE Direct-to-Cell, NB-IoT NTN, and NR-NTN. The previous modem supported only two of these options.

With LTE DTC support, phones can connect directly to satellites. This allows users to make voice and video calls, send messages, and share locations without using regular mobile networks. This feature can be very useful in remote areas or during emergencies.

Recently, we have seen a real durability test of this smartphone’s dual hinge. Now, popular YouTuber JerryRigEverything has put the phone through a rigorous test to find out its overall durability.

Out of the box, the TriFold comes with many warnings like don’t press hard on the screen, keep it away from dust, and always fold starting with the non-camera panel. Jerry ignored this a little and tested the flap with the camera. The phone started to vibrate and change colors as it folded, as this is a safety feature built into the hinges.

The phone has an outer 6.5-inch display made of Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. It scratches at a medium level (6-7 on the Mohs scale), which is normal for most high-end phones. The inner 10-inch flexible screen is much softer. It scratches easily with fingernails, keys, or coins. The back panels scratched more easily but did not shatter.

Samsung claims the Z TriFold can withstand 200,000 folds, roughly 100 folds per day over five years. During testing, the dual hinges performed well. The device’s sensors made folding easier and safer.

Heat resistance was another test. A direct flame was applied to the screens, with the exterior panel lasting 17 seconds before discoloration, and the inner flexible display burning after only 10 seconds. Samsung rates the phone as IP48 for water and dust, but real-time testing shows even a little dirt can get inside and affect the folding mechanism.

During bending and pressure tests, the phone flexed and even broke under strong force. The hinges themselves are strong, but the frame and panels are fragile. This test shows that the phone is not for rough handling.

This durability test shows that the Galaxy Z TriFold is an impressive phone. If handled carefully, it can be one of the most exciting and unique phones on the market today.

Today, Xiaomi launched its new flagship phone, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. This year, the company skipped the Xiaomi 16 Ultra and directly launched the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. With this smartphone, the company wants to compete with Apple’s iPhone 17 series and Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra is quite slim, only 8.29mm thick, and has a metal frame with shiny edges and separate round volume buttons. But it is not as thin as the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is 5.8mm, or the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is 8.2mm. The new Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be even slimmer.

Moreover, Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a 6.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2608 x 1200, a 420 PPI density, and brightness up to 3500 nits. It supports a 1 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. 

The phone has a 1-inch main sensor made with Leica for better low-light photos. There is also a 200MP zoom lens that can zoom between 75mm and 100mm without losing quality. A 50MP ultra-wide lens captures a wide view and supports close-up shots.

The 6800mAh battery is the largest ever in a Xiaomi Ultra, supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, as well as reverse charging. It is also very strong against water and dust with IP68, IP66, and IP69 ratings.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes in four colors – white, black, cool purple, and starry green. It will go on sale in China on December 27. The phone comes with 12GB or 16GB RAM and storage up to 1TB. The price starts at 6999 yuan ($995) and goes higher for bigger RAM and storage.

Samsung has developed a new type of battery called a Silicon-Carbon (Si-C) battery, but it’s not for phones. Many people have been waiting for Samsung to put this battery in Galaxy smartphones because Si-C batteries can last longer and charge faster than normal lithium-ion batteries. However, even the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will still use a regular lithium-ion battery.

The new Silicon-Carbon battery is not for phones or tablets. It is created for electric vehicles (EVs). Samsung’s battery division, Samsung SDI, has joined hands with KG Mobility, a South Korean car company, to make advanced battery packs for future electric cars.

These batteries use Samsung SDI’s 46-series cylindrical cells. They include high-nickel NCA cathodes and a special silicon-carbon anode developed by Samsung. The aim is to make batteries more powerful, safer, and longer-lasting for electric vehicles.

This battery reduces swelling, which is a common problem in batteries over time. It also has a tabless design, which allows electricity to flow more efficiently. This improves performance and enables faster charging for electric cars. The battery also has better heat management.

Meanwhile, the company is also testing One UI 8.5 internally for other flagship phones, Galaxy A series devices, and Galaxy tablets. Now, Samsung has started working on the One UI 8.5 update for Galaxy M series phones as well.

A reliable tipster, @Mohammed_K_2010, has spotted the first One UI 8.5 testing build for the Samsung Galaxy M54. This shows that Samsung has begun preparing this major update for the device. The new test build, M546BXXU9FYL1, appeared on Samsung’s test servers in several countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Iraq, Malaysia, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

The Galaxy M54 is the first phone from the Galaxy M series to be seen running a One UI 8.5 test build. This is an important sign that Samsung is expanding its internal testing to include more Galaxy devices. It also suggests that the development of One UI 8.5 is moving forward steadily.

So far, Samsung has released two beta updates for the Galaxy S25 series. More Galaxy devices may get access to beta features in the future. For years, Samsung has used graphics technology from other companies. Most recently, the company worked with AMD to create “Xclipse” GPUs for their high-end phones. While these were powerful, Samsung still relied on AMD’s underlying architecture.

With the Exynos 2600, that is changing.

Samsung has reportedly moved to a 100% in-house design for the Galaxy S26 GPU. While this first version still uses AMD’s basic framework, the company plans to move to its own complete architecture in the very near future.

Here’s what you can expect:

• Better gaming: The new design focuses on high performance with lower power use.
• Faster AI: Samsung-designed GPU would let the Galaxy S26 process AI features directly on the device much faster.
• Lower costs: By not paying licensing fees to other companies, Samsung can save money in the long run.

The Exynos 2600 is currently in the mass production stage. Samsung fans can expect to see the results of this new “Made by Samsung” graphics technology when the Galaxy S26 launches, which is expected in early 2026.

Exynos 2600 is also the world’s first chipset made using a 2nm process. It’s a cutting-edge chip node that offers improved performance and efficiency. The gap with its Snapdragon counterpart won’t be huge like previous generations.

Galaxy S28 series may be the first to get a homegrown GPU inside Exynos 2800 by Samsung. News spreading across Korea suggests that the System LSI business has embarked on an epic journey and reach the destination by the end of 2027.

In an explosive revelation, Korea’s Hankyung (via Jukan) revealed that Samsung System LSI plans to bring its in-house GPU to the Exynos chipset; it is expected to be used in the Exynos 2800 and debut with the Galaxy S28 series.

Samsung has recently unveiled its first 2nm chipset, Exynos 2600. It’s all set to power the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus in select markets. This chipset features the Xclipse GPU, which Samsung developed using AMD’s architecture.

An in-house graphics chip has always been a dream of Samsung. The company is in partnership with AMD for mobile graphics processing units. However, it would go solo in 2027, and the outcome is likely in the Exynos 2800 chipset.

Beyond that, the South Korean tech giant dreams of offering its Exynos with an in-house GPU for on-device AI platforms, including smart glasses, infotainment systems for autonomous vehicles, and humanoid robots.

An industry official noted, “To expand the on-device AI ecosystem, Samsung must ensure a timely supply of device-specific GPUs. Above all, there is a critical need for perfect ‘optimization’ with its own internal software.”

With this massive shift, Samsung will join the elite club of companies that use their own GPU in chipsets. At present, global chipmakers, including Nvidia, AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm, have their own proprietary architectures.

If Samsung takes control of mobile graphics through Exynos 2800, it will significantly improve the Galaxy experience. A chip optimized for Galaxy devices, featuring a GPU tailor-made for Exynos, will literally be a game changer.

They now account for 43% of global EV sales, with eight of the top ten best-selling EV models coming from China. These brands are moving faster, integrating vertically, and treating cars as digital products rather than mechanical ones.

BYD

BYD is currently the world’s largest EV maker by volume. It builds its own batteries, motors, and chips, including its signature Blade Battery. This approach has allowed the company to lower costs and reduce reliance on external suppliers. Models like the Seagull continue to undercut global rivals on pricing, while still offering competitive range and features.

In 2025, BYD expanded production into Hungary and Brazil to avoid import tariffs and meet rising demand. The company also pushed into the premium space with its Yangwang sub-brand, which now competes directly with established luxury automakers.

Additionally, the company is all set to launch the Seal 08 and Sealion 08 in Q1 2026, targeting the premium segment with its next-generation Ocean Aesthetic 2.0 design language.

Xiaomi

Xiaomi entered the EV market with the SU7 sedan and quickly scaled to over 200k units in less than a year. XPeng

XPeng has solidified its position as the leader in AI-centric mobility. Chinese EV companies move quickly. Their development cycles average 18 to 24 months. Most Western automakers still take 4 to 6 years to bring new models to market. Chinese firms build much of their own supply chains, while Western brands depend on Tier-1 suppliers. The focus in China is on software, user experience, and in-car AI. In contrast, many global brands still prioritize traditional metrics like paint quality and ride feel.

Recent reports have revealed that the upcoming Vivo phone with model number V2538 will hit the market with the Vivo V70 moniker. In the past few weeks, the device has bagged approvals from certification bodies in Europe, India, and the UAE. Now, the device has also been certified in countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

As can be seen above, SIRIM (Malaysia), NBTC (Thailand), and SDPPI (Indonesia) have approved the Vivo V70, hinting that its launch could be only a few weeks away in these countries. The handset is also listed in the NBD trade database, revealing variants such as 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. It states that the device will be equipped with a 6.517-inch display.

The listing also reveals colour options such as red, yellow, gold, and black. According to a recent report, the device could be priced at around Rs 45,000 (~$500) in India. Another leak revealed that the V70 series will also include other models, such as the Vivo V70 Lite 5G, V70 Elite 5G, and V70 FE 5G. However, these devices may not be available in all the markets where Vivo is active.

Casio has released its G-Shock GA-2110MK-5A collaboration with Maison Kitsuné in the US. The watch costs $210 and is available through Casio.com and authorized retailers. The release follows a staggered global launch. Japan got the watch in November (for ￥33,000), followed by European markets earlier this month (priced at €180).

The watch is built on the GA-2100 platform, known for its slim octagonal case. It uses Maison Kitsuné’s “camaieu” design approach with soft beige and cream colors inspired by Parisian architecture. A bright orange resin bezel represents sunset over Paris. The watch comes in color-matched packaging.

Maison Kitsuné’s fox logo appears on the 9 o’clock inset dial and at the case-strap junction. Additional logos are on the band loop and case back.

The watch includes shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, and Carbon Core Guard construction. Battery life is approximately three years using two SR726W cells. In January 2026, the brand is expected to announce the Honor Power 2, which is said to pack a huge battery along with upper mid-range specifications. Speculation is rife that the device will come equipped with a Dimensity 8-series chipset. Ahead of the expected launch, the phone has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking, revealing key details about its chipset.

Reports have revealed that the Honor Power 2 will feature the upcoming Dimensity 8500 chipset. This chip is also expected to power other phones, such as the Redmi Turbo 5 / Poco X8 Pro and Realme Neo 8 SE. The screenshot above seemingly reveals the Honor Power 2’s Geekbench listing, where it is reportedly labelled with the SER-AN00 model number.

The Geekbench listing reveals that it is powered by an upcoming MediaTek chip, which includes a prime CPU core clocked at 3.40GHz, three cores operating at 3.20GHz, and four cores running at 2.20GHz. For graphics, it is equipped with the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU.

Based on a previous leak, it can be said that this chip could be the upcoming Dimensity 8500. The handset has managed to score 1,532 points in the single-core test and 5,632 points in the multi-core test.

In comparison, the existing Dimensity 8400 chip has a 3.25GHz Cortex-A725 prime core, three Cortex-A725 cores clocked at 3.3GHz, four Cortex-A725 cores running at 2.1GHz, and a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. This chip scores around 1,400 to 1,500 in the single-core test and around 5,600 in the multi-core test.

Coming back to the Honor Power 2 Geekbench listing, the device is equipped with 12GB of RAM and Android 16, with the MagicOS 10 layer on top.

Speaking of the phone, rumours suggest that the Honor Power 2 will arrive with a 6.79-inch OLED 1.5K display, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel main camera on the back. It goes without saying that the major highlight of the phone will be its battery, which is said to be around 10,080mAh. The device will offer 80W charging and is expected to arrive in shades such as Midnight Black, Snow White, and Sunrise Orange.

Other Dimensity 8500 phones

Xiaomi could be expanding HyperOS 3‘s reach to as many as 25 devices before the end of 2025. Based on internal server listings, the company has already finished builds of HyperOS 3 for a wide range of phones and tablets, suggesting imminent launch.

According to tracking data spotted on HyperOSUpdates.com, multiple HyperOS 3 builds are currently marked as “ready to release” on Xiaomi’s servers. The label confirms these updates are not part of an internal test or public beta phase anymore. Instead, they are the final builds that can be pushed to users through a staged rollout at any time.

If the information holds up, Xiaomi could release the update in the remaining week of December.

After weeks of leaks and rumors, OnePlus has finally made things official. The company is launching a new Turbo series smartphone in China soon. OnePlus is positioning the new lineup as a “performance and battery life supernova” that will inherit the performance genes of its flagship phones.

According to the brand, the upcoming OnePlus Turbo delivers the “strongest battery life” in its segment, along with what the company calls an “unprecedented gaming experience” for its price range.

Adding to the announcement, OnePlus China President Li Jie says the Turbo series will bring several gaming-focused technologies previously limited to high-end models. These include a 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate display, the company’s Fengchi gaming kernel, and what OnePlus calls an “e-sports triple core.”

Li says these features have already been well received by professional players and hardcore gamers, and that the Turbo series will bring them to a much wider audience.

OnePlus Turbo specifications

As far as the specs are concerned, the OnePlus Turbo is said to feature a 6.78-inch flat LTPS OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, an AnTuTu listing confirms the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. It scored 2,609,327 points on the benchmark.

The phone will feature flagship-grade LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Memory option ranges from 12GB RAM with 256GB storage to a top-end 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. In China, the phone is expected to launch in Unique Black, Ocean Green, and Light Chaser Silver shades.

Fueling the phone could be a massive 9,000mAh battery with fast charging support. Other specifications include a metal middle frame and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. 

Interestingly, a previous report also points to another OnePlus Turbo-series phone with V branding. This model is expected to feature a Snapdragon 7-series chipset, a 165Hz display, and a large battery. Its color options include Unique Black, Nova White, and Fearless Blue. Xiaomi’s next budget smartphones, under the Redmi and Poco brands, have made their first appearance on certification sites. We’re talking about the Rsdmi A7 Pro and the Poco C81, which will be nearly identical in terms of hardware but are likely headed to different markets.

Both devices have been listed in GSMA IMEI and FCC listings, which reveal most of their core specifications. The IMEI database confirms that the Redmi A7 Pro carries the model number 25128RN17A, while the Poco C81 uses identifier 25128RN17G.

The near-identical naming confirms their close relationship, but what’s even more interesting is that the fact that Redmi is jumping straight from the Redmi A5 to the Redmi A7 Pro. Yes, the company is skipping the Redmi A6 altogether. Poco C81, on the other hand, succeeds Poco C71.

Redmi A7 Pro / Poco C81 Specifications 

The FCC listing also confirms that both phones will feature a large display measuring just under seven inches. It’s an IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch, which is about as classic budget-phone design as it gets in 2025.

Under the hood, the Redmi A7 Pro and Poco C81 are expected to run on the Unisoc T7250. It’s a 12nm chip with a mix of performance and efficiency CPU cores, paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. 

Memory options could top out at 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of slower eMMC storage. On the software side, the phones could ship with Android 15 or the lighter Android 15 Go Edition.

One of the more notable details is the battery. Xiaomi is said to be equipping these phones with a 6,000mAh cell. Charging, however, remains modest at 15W over USB-C, and the certification listings suggest that a charger won’t be included in the box.

Last but not least, there’s no mention of specific sensors, but the phones are expected to feature a single rear camera, keeping things simple.

Logitech G has officially launched the G304 X Lightspeed wireless gaming mouse in China, an upgraded version of its popular G304 and G305 models. The new mouse keeps the familiar outer shell of the original but introduces several key improvements in power, weight, connectivity, and tracking performance.

The most significant change comes from the switch to a built-in 290mAh lithium battery. This replaces the AA battery found in previous models and helps reduce the mouse’s weight to approximately 57 grams. Logitech has also redesigned the internal layout to achieve a more centered balance, which improves control and stability during fast-paced gameplay.

The G304 X supports dual-mode connectivity. It can connect wirelessly through Logitech’s updated Lightspeed 2.4GHz technology or operate via USB-C in wired mode. Apple and Samsung may be heading toward the same idea for their next foldables. A fresh leak suggests both companies are working on a shorter, wider folding phone—one that trades height for a more practical, pocket-friendly shape.

According to well-known leaker Ice Universe, dummy units of the rumored iPhone Fold and a so-called Samsung Wide Fold show striking similarities. Both devices adopt a wider layout. The approach is closer to what Oppo attempted with the early Find N models.

The goal appears simple: make both the inner and outer display more useful. The cover display is easier to type on, while the wider inner screen makes more sense for watching and reading content. When unfolded, both devices reportedly feature an inner display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, giving them a tablet-like feel.

Ice Universe claims the iPhone Fold would use a 7.58-inch inner screen, paired with a 5.35-inch outer display. Samsung’s wide foldable is said to be slightly larger, with a 7.6-inch inner panel and a 5.4-inch cover screen. On paper, the difference is minimal, and assuming similar thickness and weight, the two phones could feel nearly identical in the hand.

The key difference, at least for now, seems to come down to execution. Hinge design and software optimization are likely to separate the two.

The leak arrives as interest around Apple’s first foldable continues to grow. CAD-based renders of the iPhone Fold have been circulating for months. Samsung’s wide foldable now looks like a direct response.

So is Samsung actually moving away from its tall foldable design in favor of a wider one to match Apple or broader industry trends? Probably not. The rumored Wide Fold may simply be an additional model rather than a full replacement. But in a surprising twist, the Oppo Pad 5 has just surfaced on the brand’s official website. The company first released the Oppo Pad 5 as a flagship tablet. However, the global version doesn’t appear to be a premium model.

In other words, the Oppo Pad 5 global/Indian variant might be a rebranded model of another existing tablet. Looking at this model, the design appears quite similar to the Oppo Pad Air 5. Looking at the official listing, the Oppo Pad 5 will arrive in India with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The WiFi only model surfaced on the website with a tall 12.1-inch display with a 2.8K resolution and eye comfort features.

A black color option can be seen along with support for a stylus. Other notable features that we can expect from the Oppo Pad Air 5 include a massive 10,050mAh battery pack, 33W wired fast charging, a display with 900 nits peak brightness, and a Dimensity 7300 SoC (rumored).

With two hinges and a screen that folds in three sections, Galaxy Z TriFold pushes Samsung’s foldable design further than ever. But with that ambition comes a big question: how long will dual dual-hinge foldable actually last?

A South Korean YouTube channel, Omokgyo Electronics Shopping Mall, recently tried to find out. In a multi-day livestream, the team ran the Galaxy Z TriFold through a relentless folding test, opening and closing the device around the clock to see where it would give in.

Samsung officially rates the phone for 200,000 folds, a figure meant to reflect years of regular use. The test, however, was anything but regular. Three hosts took turns continuously folding and unfolding the device with almost no breaks.

Did it survive?

Early warning signs appeared after 61,000 folds, when one hinge began making faint creaking noises. The second hinge followed at around 121,000 cycles. By roughly 144,000 folds, the hinges had lost much of their tension. The phone could still open, but it no longer stayed fully flat on its own.

Notably, the display itself never failed. Despite the stress placed on the hinges, the large foldable screen remained fully functional until the end of the test.

That final number falls short of Samsung’s stated durability rating, but the context matters. Non-stop mechanical folding isn’t how people use their phones, and the fold-counting sensors attached during the test may have affected hinge movement. In everyday use, the TriFold could still come much closer to Samsung’s claim.

For reference, Samsung rates the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at up to 500,000 folds, highlighting how much more demanding the tri-fold design is. As with any first-generation product, improvements are likely in future models.

For now, the test suggests potential buyers of the Galaxy Z TriFold should not worry about the durability and reliability of the device, though there’s still room for refinement as the form factor matures.

That said, smart rings are often considered more reliable for tracking health metrics. It’s because they are easier to wear and stay in place, unless the ring is loose on the finger.

It’s also a good option for those who don’t like the idea of wearing a smartwatch. So, if you’re thinking about buying one, is a smart ring actually worth investing in for 2026? The answer, as usual, depends on what you expect from it and what you’re willing to live without.

What Smart Rings Are Trying to Do

At their core, smart rings are health trackers that don’t look or feel like traditional gadgets. They sit on your finger, collect data quietly in the background, and send everything to an app on your phone. Most of them track sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, body temperature changes, and activity throughout the day.

The pitch here is that it’s a ring, small and light, easy to wear all the time. You don’t need a screen on it, you don’t interact with it much, and ideally, you forget it’s there. 

Compared to smartwatches, which demand your attention with notifications and apps, smart rings are meant to stay out of our daily routine. 

The Current State of Smart Rings

The smart ring market is still small compared to smartwatches, but it’s more established than it used to be. Oura is probably the dominating brand as it was among the first to enter this category. Samsung joined the space in 2024 with Galaxy Ring, and it naturally works best if you’re already using a Samsung phone.

There are other brands too. Many of them are trying to stand out by avoiding subscriptions. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Oura Ring requires a separate subscription called Oura Membership.

However, what’s evident is that this market is not moving at the same speed as smartphones or smartwatches. Updates are incremental. New generations improve sensors, refine algorithms, and tweak designs, but there might not be dramatic leaps every year. 

That can be a good thing if you don’t like buying new hardware often, but it also means you shouldn’t expect a smart ring to suddenly become something completely different next year.

Why a Smart Ring Might Make Sense for You

The strongest case for a smart ring is long-term health tracking without friction. Because rings are comfortable and unobtrusive, people tend to wear them all day and night. 

This consistency means you can track sleep or workout data more reliably. Rings are often considered better at this than bulkier wearables, as their ease of wear results in fewer data gaps.

Another thumbs-up for smart rings is battery life. Most rings last several days on a single charge, sometimes close to a week. It’s honestly relaxing to switch from Wear OS smartwatches, which often need recharging every couple of days, if not sooner. You’re also less likely to miss data because the device ran out of power.

There’s also the fact that smart rings don’t compete for your attention. They don’t buzz, light up, or interrupt you. It’s best for people who already feel overwhelmed by screens and notifications. You check your data when you want to.

Where Smart Rings Still Fall Short

For all their strengths, smart rings are limited devices. They are not replacements for smartwatches, and this will never change. If you want real-time notifications, GPS tracking, music controls, or a screen you can glance at, a smart ring won’t help you.

Another issue is cost, especially when subscriptions are involved. Some of the more popular smart rings charge a monthly fee to unlock detailed insights and long-term trends. Over time, that can make a relatively small device feel expensive. Not everyone is comfortable paying ongoing fees for something that mostly tracks data in the background.

Fit can also be an issue. Rings need to be sized correctly, and fingers can change size depending on temperature, time of day, or activity. Most companies offer sizing kits, but it’s still a more complicated process than buying a watch and adjusting the strap.

There’s also the question of how useful the data actually is. Smart rings generate a lot of numbers, graphs, and scores. For some people, that could be helpful. But for others, it might not matter much except the usual sleep and heart rate data. 

Who Smart Rings Are Actually For

In 2026, smart rings make the most sense for a specific type of user.

If you care about sleep quality, recovery, and general health trends, and you prefer something that works quietly in the background, a smart ring can fit well into your routine. It’s also a good option if you dislike wearing watches or find them uncomfortable, especially at night.

They’re less useful for people who want active interaction with their wearable. If you like checking notifications, tracking runs with GPS, or using apps directly on your wrist, a smartwatch still does all of that better.

Smart rings also aren’t ideal if you’re skeptical of subscription models or don’t want another app asking you to pay monthly. While there are options without subscriptions, they’re still not the norm.

So, Should You Invest in One?

A smart ring in 2026 isn’t a risky purchase, but it’s not an obvious one either. The technology is mature enough to do what it promises, and for the right person, it can be genuinely useful. At the same time, it doesn’t solve problems you didn’t already know you had.

You can think of a smart ring less as a must-have gadget and more as a specific tool. It works well if you want passive health tracking, decent battery life, and something that stays out of your way. It is priced at 469 yuan ($66) and is positioned as a flagship-grade grooming device within Xiaomi’s smart lifestyle ecosystem.

Mijia Electric Shaver Pro Specifications

The Mijia Electric Shaver Pro features a triple-head rotary design, with each head using a dual-ring corrugated foil to increase cutting surface area and improve hair capture in fewer passes. The shaving head also includes a micro-bead guide coating that reduces skin friction, while the low-nickel stainless steel foil helps minimize irritation for sensitive skin.

Lenovo has launched the new ThinkVision S25-4e monitor in China, targeting users who need a high-refresh-rate IPS panel without spending too much. The monitor is now available on JD.com with a retail price of 609 yuan ($86).

The S25-4e features a 24.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time, delivering smooth visuals for both office and casual gaming use. The display uses WLED backlighting and has a typical brightness of 250 nits.

The monitor supports 8-bit color output using a 6-bit + FRC configuration and covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut, which helps deliver accurate and vivid colors across various content types.

Lenovo has prioritized eye comfort in this model. The monitor comes with TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification, hardware-level low blue light filtering, and global DC dimming to minimize screen flicker.

The IPS panel provides 178-degree viewing angles, allowing colors and contrast to remain consistent even when viewed from the sides. The monitor also features a 1500:1 static contrast ratio, which enhances detail in dark scenes.

On the design front, the S25-4e adopts a three-side micro-bezel layout for a cleaner appearance and better suitability in multi-monitor setups. The included stand supports tilt adjustment, and the monitor is VESA mount compatible (100 x 100 mm) for more flexible installations.

Samsung began the rollout of QuickStar with One UI 8.5 support and shared updates on the incompatible modules. The company is working to optimize the remaining Good Lock modules for the new operating system.

Samsung has made One UI 8.5-based QuickStar available for Beta testers. It has started to release sequentially through Galaxy Store.

The company has also highlighted that some features are still not functional, which will be improved when the official One UI 8.5 update rolls out.

As of now, Samsung has disabled the “Change Button Grid” tool of Quick Star. It allows personalization of Quick Settings, which has significantly improved in One UI 8.5.

Presently, certain features have been excluded from the current QuickStar version. Good Lock manager confirmed to re-enable these features alongside device software updates around the time of the official One UI 8.5 release.

More coming, including Home Up

Samsung is still working on three modules for One UI 8.5, including LockStar, Home Up, and NotiStar. The three modules are completely banned in the Beta software, and none of their tools are functional on the official version.

We may see even better personalization options in the One UI 8.5 Home Up version. It allows tweaks across the home screen, lock screen, app drawer, and recents screen.

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro in 2026, and the premium variant has just surfaced on the FCC database, signaling its US launch.

FCC certified both the left and right earbuds of the Buds 4 Pro lineup through FCC ID A3LSMR640L and A3LSMR640R, respectively.

The emergence of the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro on the FCC database doesn’t just confirm the US launch, but also spills the beans on key specifications. The product carries model number SM-R640, as per the FCC certification site.

Samsung Foundry may soon add Google as a major client for the manufacturing of its most advanced TPU (AI chips). The two companies are reportedly in positive discussions to assess output and finalize the deal.

Korean outlet TheElec reports that Samsung Foundry and Google are in a state of positive and progressive consultation regarding the TPU AI chips manufacturing.

Currently, Tesla is Samsung Foundry’s biggest client for its Taylor facility. The leading EV maker has signed a $16 billion deal to make AI chips. Samsung is also setting up its Austin fab, where iPhone CIS will be made.

AMD is also in talks with Samsung for contract manufacturing. The Korean tech giant has reportedly offered its enhanced 2nm process to AMD, and Google will likely be receiving the same from Samsung Taylor fab.

With TSMC restricting its 2nm process to Taiwan, Big Tech companies are turning towards Samsung Electronics. The company is targeting to kickstart production at Taylor Foundry in 2026, including the 2nm process.

An industry insider stated, “It is understood that Samsung Electronics is in positive consultations with Google regarding TPU foundry services.”

A recent report from DigiTimes spotlighted that “Taiwan’s N-2 policy limits the transfer of TSMC’s advanced semiconductor processes overseas,” adding that “Samsung could absorb the resulting demand from the US.”

Samsung is aggressively expanding the One UI 8.5 testing scope to Galaxy A series phones. The company is not just focusing on premium Galaxy devices, but also adding mid-range and budget models to the Alpha chart.

Now, tipster AkhileshKumar spotted credible evidence linked to One UI 8.5 for three popular Samsung Galaxy A phones. It includes the Galaxy A35, along with the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 from the year 2022.

Samsung launched Galaxy A33 and A53 shortly after the Galaxy S22 flagships. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A35 landed alongside the A55 in 2024. The former device has already joined the testing phase around a week ago.

Samsung Calendar has elevated its visual intelligence with AI. The experience will now include an AI-generated image as the Countdown widget background. The AI-made backgrounds will be optimized with calendar titles.

Natural language search is another major addition to the Calendar app. You can now search for content in Calendar in a conversational way. It’s going to be pretty much useful for the entire Galaxy community.

Additionally, the Calendar app now supports the options to hide past schedules and mark reminders as complete. The application has also gained the ability to attach multiple images for improved appearance.

Dec 24: Galaxy A26 has now joined the growing list of One UI 8.5 devices. Samsung has begun internal testing of the software for the mid-range phone. Users will receive UI changes, smoother animations, and new features.

As spotted by tipster AkhileshKumar, Samsung is now testing One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy A26. The device received its Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update nearly three months ago, and preps for the next transition have begun.

The mid-range smartphone is eligible for six years of OS and security updates. One UI 8 was its first OS upgrade, which brought Android 16. However, the One UI 8.5 is still based on the same operating system as One UI 8.

Samsung’s server now has A266BXXU6CYL2 firmware for the Galaxy A26 5G European version. With One UI 8, the major One UI alphabet bumped to “B,” and One UI 8.5 makes it “C,” indicating the second big UI upgrade.

One UI 8.5 brings noticeable user interface changes. The new software improves complete aesthetics by adding dynamic blur and a floating menu to apps. Pop-up cards have also become beautiful with vibrant hues.

Samsung’s premium phones will benefit the most from this upgrade. You can look forward to a better user interface with tweaks. AI features will stay limited to S/Z devices, but the supported ones will be enhanced.

Known-leaker Ice Universe has revealed the screen sizes and aspect ratios of the Apple iPhone Fold and the Samsung Wide Fold. Both phones appear remarkably similar at first glance. However, upon closer inspection, a major design difference starts to appear between the two foldable phones.

Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone has finally shown up in what are probably the first good-looking renders. And they come with a bold claim that its screen crease might be nearly invisible.

Courtesy of Jon Prosser at Front Page Tech, the YouTuber published a video today, showing the iPhone Fold’s design in full. Prosser claims Apple has chosen to make a book-style foldable instead of a clamshell because of what he thinks Apple has pulled off here.

The iPhone Fold reportedly features a 5.5-inch display on the front, while the inner screen will measure 7.8 inches. The highlight, of course, is the crease. Or the lack of it. 

Prosser says Apple is using a combination of a pressure-dispersing metal plate, liquid metal in the hinge, and an in-cell touch panel to give iPhone Fold a crease-free look.

The claim lines up with an earlier report that suggests Apple is developing ultra-thin flexible glass (UFG) specifically to tackle the crease problem. If true, this could be Apple’s biggest contribution to foldable hardware yet.

Moreover, the iPhone Fold reportedly measures 9mm when folded and just 4.5mm when unfolded.

Performance, Camera, Battery, and More

The iPhone Fold is expected to run on Apple’s A20 Pro chip. It will also use Apple’s second-generation C2 modem and a high-density battery that should offer great battery life.

As for cameras, you can expect two at the back housed in an iPhone Air–like module. You’ll also get one camera on the cover display and another on the internal screen. Sadly, no under-display camera. 

Another claim that corroborates previous rumors is that the Fold will skip Face ID in favor of a fingerprint sensor. It will reside in the power button, which Prosser says Apple has moved to the top of the device.

Last but not least, Prosser claims the iPhone Fold will come in only black and white color options and at a price between $2,000 and $2,500.
