Samsung is preparing to launch Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 soon. Before the official release, a retailer, DressYourTech, has listed some of their official cases online. This gives us an early look at the accessories.

Both Galaxy A37 and A57 phones will have Silicone Cases and Card Slot Cover Cases. The Galaxy A37 also has a Rugged Case, but the Galaxy A57 does not appear to have one yet.

The Silicone Cases are soft and smooth, which makes the phones comfortable to hold. The Galaxy A57 case comes in Violet, Grey, Dark Blue, and Blue. The Galaxy A37 case comes in Violet, Grey, Green, and Black. These colors let users choose a style they like.

The Card Slot Cover Case has a small slot for one card, like a credit card, ID, or transit pass. Both phones have this case in Grey and Black. It is useful for people who want to carry fewer items.

The Rugged Case for the Galaxy A37 is black and made to protect the phone better. It has padded layers inside and gives a stronger grip to make the phone safer from drops.

These cases are not officially confirmed by Samsung yet, but they are likely the real designs. If Samsung follows its usual plan, the prices will be similar to those of older Galaxy A series cases.

Many Samsung users recently noticed that Download Mode, the feature used to fix phones or install firmware, seems to be missing in newer phones. Some thought Samsung removed it, but that’s not true. Download Mode is still there, but it’s just hidden and mainly meant for service centers and advanced users.

According to TechDroider, the big change is that you now need to turn on Maintenance Mode before you can see Download Mode. In older Samsung phones, you could enter Download Mode with a special button combination.

Now, you first enable Maintenance Mode, and then the option to go into Download Mode appears. Once it’s active, you can still use tools like Odin to flash firmware or repair your phone.

Samsung reportedly made this change to keep regular users safe. Flashing firmware the wrong way can break a phone or cause software problems. By hiding Download Mode, only people who know what they’re doing can access it, reducing mistakes.

For users familiar with Odin, nothing really changes, as you can still flash firmware and repair your device. The only difference is that you need to take the extra step of enabling Maintenance Mode first.

It means that Download Mode hasn’t disappeared. Samsung just made it a little harder to access protected devices. Advanced users and service centers can still use it safely, and with Maintenance Mode, you can continue to flash firmware or fix your phone without problems. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung is getting closer to making new artificial intelligence (AI) chips for Tesla. The chips have now reached an important testing stage before they can be produced on a large scale.

Recently, Tesla Korea began hiring Post-Silicon Validation Engineers. This shows that the chips made by Samsung are now ready to be tested after manufacturing. Earlier, Tesla’s Korean team mainly helped with early chip design work for the company’s headquarters in the United States.

The post-silicon stage begins after a prototype chip is produced at the factory. Engineers first turn on the chip in a step called “bring-up.” Then they run tests to check if the chip works properly. This helps engineers find and fix any problems before the chips are produced on a large scale.

The chips being tested are believed to be early samples made using Samsung’s chip manufacturing process. These chips may be used in Tesla’s future technologies.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra features several design improvements, including a crucial change to the S Pen, and you may have to learn how to insert the stylus back into the device.

S Pen has been a part of the Note series since the very beginning, which later succeeded the S-series’ Ultra model. This built-in accessory offers a smart experience for millions of users despite losing its Bluetooth capabilities.

However, the biggest change arrived with the S26 Ultra. You see, the Note series remained boxy til the very end, enabling a flat click-to-release button. In that case, the user can insert the Pen facing upwards or downwards without verifying its head position.

This saga continued with the S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, and S25 Ultra, since these phones come with a proper flat bottom frame to continue the flat clicker. That changed with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, increasing the corner radius and taking the round curves all the way to the S Pen.

So, Samsung has to amend its clicker’s design with an arc to align with the new frame design. Since you no longer have that flat clicker, you will have to match its position in the right direction.

Does the wrong position matter? On the positive note, it doesn’t, the S Pen will still insert in either direction, but that will look odd. That’s one of the noticeable drawbacks of the S26 Ultra’s design, which wasn’t the case with the S25 Ultra.

However, everything moves forward, and we don’t know what the next chapter of the S Pen will bring. Once you start using the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s S Pen, it will come into your habit, or you can choose to keep the S Pen inside the phone, just like a typical Ultra user.

Samsung is reportedly working on its own credit card, the Samsung Galaxy Card. The news comes from a recent trademark application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on February 12. This is the first time a name for Samsung’s credit card project has been made public.

The USPTO documents describe the Galaxy Card as an “electronically encoded credit card,” which likely means it will be digital and used through Samsung Wallet. This suggests that users could manage and use the card directly from their smartphones. It is not yet clear if Samsung will also offer a physical card.

The company has not officially announced the Galaxy Card yet. Trademark approvals usually take around 10 to 11 months, so it may be some time before the card is ready.

Samsung has been thinking about launching its own credit card for several years. Reports from November 2025 said that Samsung has been in talks with Barclays, a UK-based bank, to launch the card. Barclays would handle the banking side of things, while Samsung could focus on adding the card to its ecosystem of phones, tablets, and apps.

The Galaxy Card would compete with Apple’s Card, which offers perks like 3% cash back on Apple products such as iPhones and MacBooks. Apple provides both a physical card and a digital one in Apple Wallet. It is still unclear whether Samsung will do the same or keep the Galaxy Card digital only.

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8.5 Beta 7 update for the Galaxy S25 series in the US. The update has been available earlier for users in South Korea and is now reaching beta testers in the US. This new beta version mainly fixes bugs and improves the overall experience before the final stable release.

Chinese tipsters IceUniverse and DigitalChatStation share crucial information about the iPhone 18 Pro changes. The early reveal targets the phone’s design, dimensions, battery, and the most controversial Dynamic Island.

Thickness x Battery

The iPhone 18 Pro Max will measure 8.8mm, Ice Universe confirms. That’s barely thicker than the 17 Pro Max’s 8.75mm. Apple’s packing a battery reportedly north of 5000mAh into that chassis, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra clocks in at 5000mAh.

The chip and camera

Digital Chat Station calls three things locked in. The A20 Pro chip is built on a 2nm process, that bigger than a 5000mAh battery, and aperture changes to the cameras.

One UI 8.5 Beta Program has just gone public for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. A little earlier, Samsung released the first Beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The latest clamshell foldable phone has also joined the party with the Fold 7.

Samsung is bringing an expansive One UI 8.5 Beta Program. For Galaxy Z Fold 7, it has already landed in India and South Korea. More countries are expected to be followed, such as Germany, the UK, Poland, and the US.

One UI 8.5 is a major visual upgrade over One UI 8. The quick panel has become heavily personalizable and notifications management turn smart. The interface has adopted dynamic colors and elegant blur for better UX.

How to get it now

Galaxy Z Flip 7 users can install the One UI 8.5 Beta update with the least effort. An enrollment form is all you need to join the Beta testing. To access it, open Samsung Members, scroll to the bottom and hit the Beta banner.

Agree to the terms and conditions and proceed with Enrollment. Once done, return to the Software update section and hit Download now. It might take a few minutes for the firmware to arrive as you tap the final key for the upgrade.

The first Beta comes with a build version ending with ZZC5, the same as the Fold 7. It carries the February 2026 security patch, not the March’s. Make sure stable internet connection as the package weighs more than 4 gigabytes.

Samsung has quietly expanded the One UI 8.5 Beta Program to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The company’s most expensive phone has just joined the Beta Program, and its clamshell counterpart will soon join the party with the Beta update.

So far, the One UI 8.5 Beta Program has been limited to the Galaxy S25 series. The entry of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 marks the first expansion. Notably, Samsung already launched official One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series.

Samsung is already rolling out the One UI 8.5 Beta 1 to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Users can identify the first Beta update through the PDA build version ending with ZZC5. Note that it would only arrive after successful enrollment.

One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 and elevates the entire user experience. It tweaks various aspects of the interface and applies a beautiful blur across the UI. You also get new features and extended Galaxy AI capabilities.

How to download and install

To get the Beta update, you will need to join the Beta Program manually. To do so, open the Samsung Members app and scroll down to access the Beta banner.

The Program is currently live in India and South Korea, so you may not see it outside. As Samsung expands the testing program, it could be available in the US and Europe.

Tapping the Beta banner triggers the expanded joining page, which takes you through the terms and conditions of the Beta Program before allowing you to hit Enroll now.

Once done, head toward the Software update page from the Settings page. As soon as the OTA arrives, hit Download now and get it installed on your foldable device.

Samsung just dropped One UI 8.5 Beta 7 for the Galaxy S25 series, and on paper, it’s their least chaotic Beta in months. Starting in South Korea, the update has been expanded to Germany and India, with US following soon.

One UI 8.5 Beta 7 (PDA: ZZC7) brings eleven targeted fixes that suggest Samsung’s finally stopped breaking things in the rush to ship. Notably, there’s no latest security patch embedded in the Beta 7 release, which looks weird.

What’s new in One UI 8.5 Beta 7

Video calls were switching modes without permission. You’d start a voice call and the phone would just decide you meant video. That’s fixed.

Material You color palette wasn’t syncing to Google apps inside Work and Secure Folders. Gmail’s dark mode search field was invisible. The Gallery app was crashing when you tried starting new projects. Private album exports were failing outright.

DeX users were getting no warning when their phone overheated. Weather widget was clipping Fahrenheit temps when you added cities. Wi-Fi recovery during roaming with certain access points supporting Multiple BSSID was failing.

Samsung Messages was stuttering badly when you first opened unread inboxes. Notifications weren’t displaying under specific conditions. There’s a KT carrier fix in here for a service called WhoWho – limited to Korean models.

A significant portion mentions improvements for Android’s GMS, such as Material You. What’s striking is the absence of new features.

After three months of testing and six prior Betas, that’s where Samsung landed. The S26 series shipped with stable One UI 8.5, and the S25 lineup is still in Beta in March.

People who actually bought last year’s flagship are still testing software that’s already shipping on new phones. This way, Stable won’t hit the S25 series until at least late March, maybe April.

Samsung’s stable One UI 8.5 update looks ready to roll out any day now, and if you picked up a Galaxy S25 last year, yours might be one of the first to get it.

Firmware version S93xBXXU8CZC9 just surfaced on Samsung’s servers with the March 2026 security patch, and that’s usually the last step before things go live.

The Galaxy S26 series has already hit market shelves yesterday in major markets. The expansion will continue over the days ahead, as Samsung plans to bring this year’s flagship phones to up to 120 countries globally.

While this firmware seems ready for prime time, there’s always a chance they spot something ugly in testing and swap it out. Samsung has rolled out six Beta builds for the Galaxy S25 series before getting here.

Rollout will probably kick off in South Korea first, then expand to Europe, the US, and India over the following days or weeks. That’s been the pattern for years, and there’s no sign they’re changing it now.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 series with One UI 8.5 already installed, which means the S25 is now playing catch-up to a phone released weeks ago.

One UI 8.5 sits on the same Android 16 base as One UI 8.0. However, Samsung claims there are major UI tweaks and under-the-hood improvements tucked inside.

The company has not opened Beta slots for other devices yet, which raises an obvious question. Will the Galaxy S24 or the Z Fold 7 skip betas entirely and jump straight to stable?

Samsung is patching a long-standing S Pen Air Command bug through Good Lock. The company is rolling out an updated version of Pentastic plugin. It patches an issue linked to the stylus on Galaxy devices running One UI 8.

Good Lock plugin Pentastic is getting a March 2026 update, bumping the version to 2.3.19, which carries improvements for the S Pen Air Command feature.

The changelog mentions “fixes for Air Command” section inside Pentastic. Samsung also acknowledged that the bug has broken Air Command types on One UI 8 devices.

Pentastic is a plugin that extends the usability of Samsung’s stylus menu. It elevates the user interface and lets users unlock experimental features that aren’t enabled by default.

Even though the Galaxy S25 Ultra dropped Bluetooth-powered S Pen, Air Command is still available. Previous Ultra models and foldable phones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6, would also benefit from this Pentastic release.

Like others, this new release also improves the overall functionality. It would clear the app cache and wipe unnecessarily stored data. With storage freeing up, the plugin will work even better and seamlessly on Samsung phones.

Get the latest Pentastic from Good Lock or Galaxy Store. The rollout has just begun, and the availability may vary by country. However, Galaxy Store updates often come all in one go, unlike regular software updates.

Samsung has restarted development of its QNED display technology. It is a hybrid quantum dot nanorod LED project, which the company shelved back in 2022 after failing to solve a rather fundamental problem.

According to ETNews, late last year, Samsung Display formed a QNED research team buried inside its M Commercialization Team for small and medium displays.

These are the same people who worked on the tech the first time around before it all fell apart, and word is they’ve regrouped because somebody cracked something in the nanorod placement problem.

QNED theoretically outlasts QD-OLED because it ditches the organic blue emitter layer that degrades over time in favour of inorganic gallium nitride nanorods.

Samsung’s QNED may also be brighter, which matters in a market where brightness numbers have turned into a marketing arms race.

Pay attention, Samsung originally kicked off development in 2019, showed a TV prototype, then quietly walked away two or three years ago when uniform light emission stayed out of reach.

Samsung originally planned to commercialize QNED between 2024 and 2025. Restarting R&D now means any actual panels are years away, minimum, and the window for premium display dominance isn’t sitting still.

The company won’t confirm what breakthrough, if any, actually surfaced. One display expert said the engineers “found a technical clue” to the alignment mess, which is about as specific as saying they figured something out.

Samsung doesn’t get to just pick the winner by announcing research. QNED has to actually work this time.

Two IDC analysts revealed stats last week at MWC: foldable market share sits at 50% for Motorola in the US. This is despite the presence of Samsung, but it remains to be seen how it holds after the arrival of the Apple iPhone Fold.

The 50% market of Motorola is purely built on the back of those Razr flip phones that people actually want to buy in the US. The company officially announced its first Razr Fold (book-style foldable), coming stateside.

Samsung has got the bigger lineup, the deeper R&D pockets, and the brand recognition in foldables. Still, it’s getting torched by a company that basically said, “let’s make flip phones fun again” and picked some decent colors.

Here’s what’s working

Motorola priced the Razr lineup where normal people can actually afford it. They picked colors that don’t look like they came from a corporate boardroom. Fun sells when the tech actually works, and the recent Razr models work well enough.

Meanwhile, the real nightmare hasn’t even started yet. Apple’s foldable iPhone is no longer an “if” as mass production is planned for the second half of 2026.

The device will use a book-style folding mechanism similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold, and it reportedly has no visible crease, a problem Apple has pursued eliminating “regardless of cost.”

It’s rumored to cost around $2,200 to $2,400, which is insane money but won’t matter to the people who line up for launch day iPhones every September.

Xiaomi has started teasing its new laptop for launch in China, called the Xiaomi Book Pro 14. It’s the first Xiaomi-branded laptop in three years since the launch of the Xiaomi Book 14 in 2023.

According to teaser images shared by the company, the laptop will arrive in three colors: Soft Fog Blue, White, and Elegant Gray. As you can see, the laptop has a flush and slim metallic look.

The Book Pro 14 uses a unibody die-cast magnesium alloy body paired with a high-strength carbon fiber bottom shell. Xiaomi also says the keyboard support plate has been upgraded to a lighter titanium alloy structure. All of this contributes to a surprisingly low weight of just 1.08kg.

As for performance, Xiaomi confirmed that the laptop will feature the latest Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor. To keep that chip running efficiently, the company says it has added a large 10,000mm² vapor chamber cooling module along with a high-speed silent fan and a three-dimensional airflow system. Xiaomi claims this setup allows the laptop to sustain up to 50W of performance.

What else can you expect?

Fortunately, a previous report tipped a few more details about the device. The Xiaomi Book Pro 14 will come with a 14-inch display and weigh roughly around one kilogram. It will reportedly also be offered with the slightly more modest Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor alongside the Core Ultra X7 chip.

The Ultra 5 325 is built on Intel’s 18A process and includes an 8-core layout in a 4P + 4LPE configuration. It runs with 8 threads and can reach boost speeds of up to 4.5GHz.

Meanwhile, the Ultra X7 358H has a 16-core structure arranged in a 4 + 8 + 4 configuration. That chip can reach speeds of up to 4.8GHz, comes with 18MB of L3 cache, and integrates Intel’s Radiant B390 graphics.

Memory options could include a configuration with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, and another with 32GB of RAM paired with the same 1TB SSD.

Vivo has launched the Vivo Y51 Pro 5G in India as the successor to last year’s Y31 Pro. The phone brings several upgrades, including a larger display, a new MediaTek processor, improved durability, and a much bigger battery.

The device features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1570 × 720 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1250 nits peak brightness. The display also carries TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and is designed to reduce flicker during long usage sessions.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo 4nm processor with clock speeds of up to 2.5GHz. It replaces the Dimensity 7300 used in the previous model. The phone comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and offers 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6. The device supports dual nano-SIM cards and includes 5G SA and NSA band support.

For cameras, the phone includes a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera supports 4K video recording. On the front, the phone has an 8MP camera with an f/2.05 aperture for selfies and video calls.

Durability is a major highlight of the device. The phone comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and is MIL-STD-810H compliant. According to the company, it has undergone multi-angle drop tests from heights of up to 1.7 metres. It has also received the SGS 5-Star Premium Performance Mark for overall drop resistance.

According to the latest information from leaker Jasper Ellens, several European retailer listings have revealed possible pricing for the upcoming DJI Avata 360 and its bundles. From what we’ve seen so far, the company is clearly aiming to deliver strong flagship performance in a smaller, easier-to-handle phone.

The OnePlus 15T will be available in three colors: Pure Cocoa, Relaxing Matcha, and Healing White Chocolate. The white version seems to be the most distinctive. OnePlus is reportedly using a micro-arc oxidation process on both the metal frame and the rear panel to create a uniform white finish.

The other two colors use a more familiar AG frosted glass back, designed to keep fingerprints under control while maintaining a slightly matte texture. Overall, the design looks fairly minimal. Vivo’s upcoming X300 Ultra is starting to appear more frequently in leaks and teasers, and the company is once again putting a strong focus on camera hardware. In the latest teaser, Vivo executive Han Bo Xiao shared early camera samples on Weibo.

The posts highlight the phone’s primary and telephoto camera, which uses the 200MP Sony LYT-901 and 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPO sensor, respectively. Unlike many smartphones that stick closer to a 23–24mm focal length for the main camera, this one uses a 35mm equivalent lens for the main camera. The camera is tuned in collaboration with Zeiss, something Vivo has relied on heavily in its flagship models.

The sensor is reportedly capable of capturing about 30 percent more light per pixel compared to previous generations. Some of the shared images show strong details and fairly natural colors. The size of the main sensor is also quite large at 1/1.12 inches, which should help with low-light photography.

Vivo is also said to support external teleconverter accessories, allowing focal lengths around 200mm or 400mm. In one of the examples shared online, zoom levels equivalent to roughly 1600mm have been demonstrated, though that clearly involved heavy digital cropping.

OPPO has revealed the core technologies behind the OPPO Find N6, positioning it as the world’s flattest foldable smartphone. The company presented the new engineering breakthroughs during its Foldable Screen Crease-Free Technology Communication Conference, highlighting a series of innovations aimed at dramatically reducing the visible crease that has long been a limitation of foldable displays.

The main focus of the Find N6 is achieving a “zero-feel crease” display experience, where the fold line becomes almost imperceptible during everyday use. OPPO claims the new design significantly improves screen flatness compared to previous foldable devices, pushing the category closer to a truly seamless tablet-like display when unfolded.

At the center of this advancement is OPPO’s new-generation titanium alloy dome hinge. Unlike conventional three-axis hinge systems, the Find N6 uses a biomimetic symmetrical four-axis structure built with chip-level polymer 3D printing technology. Within the lineup, the Fire 7 Pro is geared more toward outdoor team recreation and camping adventures. At the same time, the Fire 7 Ultra is designed for more professional teams, such as off-road vehicle crews or forest firefighters.

Design

Although both phones belong to the same series, they look quite different—and that’s perfectly reasonable given their different use cases. To accommodate the 1,200-lumen camping light on the back of the Fire 7 Pro, the DOOGEE logo has been moved to the very bottom of the rear panel.

By the way, while this camping light may look a bit like MagSafe, it is simply a standalone light with no magnets inside.

The back of the Fire 7 Ultra, on the other hand, is much cleaner, featuring only two contact pins near the bottom. What are these contacts for? That brings us to the packaging.

The Fire 7 Ultra comes in a much larger box, mainly because it includes more accessories. In addition to the usual manuals, charger, and cable, you also get a desktop charging base and a walkie-talkie headset. See those two contacts on the charging base? Through them, the Fire 7 Ultra can be charged at 10W.

The “Ultra” branding also extends to the speaker. This 3.5W speaker can reach a maximum volume of up to 125dB, making it easy to hear the other party clearly in virtually any environment.

The Ultra also has an extra button on the top that the Pro doesn’t. As its name suggests, pressing it activates SOS mode. You don’t have to worry about accidental presses—unless you really dig into it with your finger, you won’t be able to trigger it, no matter how hard you press it.

Aside from that, the remaining features are the same on both phones: triple card slots, NFC, an IP69K waterproof rating, and 8GB of RAM paired with 256GB of storage.

Walkie-Talkie

The PoC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) walkie-talkie function is one of the Fire 7 series’ core features—and also one of its most controversial. When people hear “walkie-talkie,” their first reaction is often: outdoor signal coverage is poor, so why not just use a traditional radio? The answer is that these phones are not meant to replace your traditional walkie-talkies, but to serve as a backup solution that ensures you’re never completely out of contact.

The biggest advantage of Push-to-Talk over Cellular isn’t whether it works in places with absolutely no signal, but rather its communication range and management capabilities. With 4G or 5G network coverage, the walkie-talkie range of the Fire 7 series is essentially equal to the coverage of the cellular network itself. You can be on one side of a city and talk in real time with teammates dozens of kilometers away—or even in a different city altogether—something traditional walkie-talkies simply can’t achieve.

The Fire 7 Ultra is clearly the more professional tool when it comes to walkie-talkie performance. The included walkie-talkie headset connects via the contact pins on the side of the phone. Even in extreme environments such as heavy wind, engine noise, or fire scenes, it can still ensure clear and intelligible communication.

Battery Life

For rugged phones, battery life is always a key topic. In this regard, the Fire 7 Pro and Fire 7 Ultra continue DOOGEE’s long-standing “stack-the-specs” approach. Both phones are equipped with massive 13,000mAh batteries, enough to support multiple days of intensive outdoor use. If left on standby, they can last up to a month.

Both devices support 33W wired charging and 5W reverse charging. There is one area that could be improved: since the battery capacity is already larger than my power bank, it would be great if the reverse charging power were higher. That way, I could genuinely stop carrying an extra power bank to charge my other devices.

Other Features

In terms of core hardware, neither the Fire 7 Pro nor the Fire 7 Ultra aims for flagship-level performance. Instead, they opt for the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 platform, which prioritizes stability and power efficiency. This chipset is more than capable of handling navigation, PoC communication, multitasking, and everyday apps, while also helping to control heat and battery consumption.

Both phones feature a 6.6-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

When it comes to cameras, both rely on a 64MP main sensor. The Fire 7 Pro stands out by adding a 20MP night vision camera, which is especially useful for camping or nighttime environments.

The Fire 7 Ultra, by comparison, focuses more on basic documentation and work-related evidence capture. Overall, this setup may not be flashy, but it’s stable, durable, and well aligned with the Fire series’ positioning as a tool-oriented phone.

Conclusion

The Fire 7 Pro and Fire 7 Ultra are not phones that try to please everyone. Their target users are clearly defined, and their roles are well differentiated. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, a camping fan, or someone into hiking or light exploration, and you want a phone that can handle lighting, night photography, and quick team communication, the Fire 7 Pro offers a very appealing combination of features.

If you’re part of an off-road vehicle team, forestry patrol, or firefighting-related profession, and what you need is reliable walkie-talkie performance, clear command transmission, and dependable battery life, then the Fire 7 Ultra is clearly the tool designed for you. They may not be “value-for-money phones” in the traditional sense, but they do deliver on the promise of “All Tools, One Phone” in a very thorough way.

What further solidifies the arrival of the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 is that the tech giant has created One UI 8.5 beta program sections for these two devices on its Community forum (via). This strongly suggests that Samsung is preparing to begin the One UI 8.5 beta program for these phones soon.

Once the beta program is live, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 owners will have a chance to get early access to the latest features and upgrades in One UI 8.5. Realme’s next number-series smartphone has started appearing in leaks months before its expected debut. A recent tip from a well-known source has hinted at the camera hardware that could arrive on the Realme 17 Pro+. Here’s a look at what the first leak about the 17 Pro series has revealed.

Realme 17 Pro+ camera details leak

According to Digital Chat Station, Realme has already finalized plans to introduce a new numeric-series phone in the second half of the year. Although the tipster did not explicitly mention the device name, the specifications discussed in the post strongly suggest that it could be the Realme 17 Pro+.

The leak indicates that the phone could feature a high-quality display, though details such as the panel size or resolution have not been revealed yet. It goes without saying that the camera system will be its major highlight, as the device is said to include a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 sensor as the primary camera. Alongside it, the handset may include a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera that supports 3.5x optical zoom.

Interestingly, these sensors are already present on the Realme 16 Pro+. Because of this, the upcoming model may not bring a major overhaul to the main and telephoto cameras. The tipster also mentioned that the final lineup of the series is still being arranged, which means additional models could be introduced alongside the Pro+ variant.

Realme has been following a pattern of releasing two generations of its number-series phones each year. Huawei Mate 80 Pro – Best Smartphone

The Huawei Mate 80 Pro marks Huawei’s first global Mate flagship since 2022. It features a 6.75-inch flat OLED display with adaptive refresh from 1 Hz to 120 Hz and peak brightness of 3000 nits. While the brand has not confirmed it, the device likely uses Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9030 Pro processor with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

The Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 is designed for runners and endurance athletes. It uses a titanium alloy case measuring 43.5 mm and only 10.7 mm thick. The watch weighs about 34.5 g. The display is a 1.32-inch AMOLED panel with 466×466 resolution and 3000-nit brightness, protected by second-generation Kunlun glass.

Huawei added a new 3D floating antenna system with dual-band GPS using L1 and L5 signals. The company says this improves positioning accuracy by about 20 percent in dense cities or tunnels.

The watch includes an Intelligent Marathon Mode developed with DSM-Firmenich. It offers structured training plans, pace charts, finish predictions, and digital pacing guidance.

The device supports more than 100 sports modes, including triathlon, trail running, golf, and freediving down to 40 meters. It also tracks ECG, blood oxygen, sleep, and stress. The watch has 5 ATM water resistance and an IP69 rating. Battery life is rated at up to 14 days for light use, 7 days for typical use, or about 32 hours with GPS tracking enabled.

Honor Magic V6 – Best Foldable

Honor’s latest flagship foldable, the Magic V6, pushed two records: at 8.75 mm folded (4 mm open) it’s the thinnest foldable yet, and it packs a gargantuan battery (6,660 mAh) for all-day life.

It runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The inner display is a 7.95-inch LTPO2 AMOLED panel with 2352×2172 resolution, 1–120 Hz refresh rate, and 5000-nit peak brightness. The outer display is a 6.52-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 2420 × 1080 resolution and up to 6000 nits brightness. Both displays support stylus input. The phone includes high-frequency PWM dimming, anti-reflective coating that reduces glare by 33 percent, and true 10-bit color.

Honor engineered a new Super Steel Hinge (2800 MPa steel) tested for 500k folds and a reinforced Ultra-Thin Glass, while the crease is claimed to be “minimal, imperceptible.”

The camera setup includes a 50 MP main camera with OIS and variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0, a 64 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom and OIS, and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera.

It runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and will receive seven years of OS updates. Honor says the device is the first foldable to receive TÜV Rheinland certification for 24-hour battery life thanks to its silicon-carbon blade battery with 32 percent silicon.

Lenovo ThinkBook Modular AI PC Concept – Best Concept

The Lenovo ThinkBook Modular AI PC Concept is a flexible laptop idea designed for business users. The base unit has a 14-inch display. Additional modules such as keyboards, ports, and extra displays attach using Lenovo’s Magic Bay pogo-pin connector system.

A second 14-inch display can attach to the lid for face-to-face viewing or sit beside the laptop as a vertical monitor. Removing the keyboard allows both displays to form a 19-inch dual-screen workstation.

Users can also swap I/O modules such as USB-A, USB-C, and HDMI without replacing the entire device. Lenovo designed the system with repairability and long product lifecycles in mind. Pricing and release plans have not been announced since it remains a concept.

MemoMind One – Smart AR Glasses

The XGIMI MemoMind One AI glasses bring assistant features into lightweight eyewear. The glasses weigh about 30 g and use dual microLED waveguide displays to project information onto the lenses. They do not include cameras to address privacy concerns.

Built-in speakers and microphones support voice commands for AI chat, translations, reminders, and summaries. During demonstrations, the glasses translated conversations between Chinese and English and created reminders such as flight check-in alerts.

The glasses resemble regular frames but have thicker temples that hold the battery and projection hardware. Users see subtle green text overlays for notifications, calendar updates, and weather.

The glasses run a hybrid operating system that switches between multiple AI models on the device. Battery life is about 16 hours per charge, and XGIMI is developing a charging case for extended use.

Lenovo ThinkTab X11 – Rugged Tablet

The Lenovo ThinkTab X11 is a rugged Android tablet built for logistics, construction, and field work. It features a 10.95-inch LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and 600-nit brightness that works with gloves or wet hands.

The tablet runs the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor with up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB UFS storage. Its chassis is MIL-STD-810H certified and IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. The device also has a removable back panel with a screwless latch.

The tablet supports a battery-less mode that allows operation from external power sources such as vehicles. It includes two USB-C ports for charging and peripherals, NFC support, and a 10,200 mAh battery.

The tablet runs Android 14 with enterprise management features. Lenovo confirmed a starting price of about €499, or roughly $540, with an April 2026 launch.

The Lenovo Legion Go Fold Concept is a unique gaming handheld that takes advantage of advancements in foldable display technology, allowing it to function as a 3-in-1 device: a gaming console, a tablet, and a mini laptop.

When folded, it uses a 7.7-inch 1600p POLED display with detachable magnetic controllers. When unfolded, the display expands to 11.6 inches.

The device supports several modes. Standard handheld mode uses the 7.7-inch display. Vertical split-screen mode unfolds the display into two stacked panels so users can play a game on one side while viewing guides or chat on the other.

Horizon mode rotates the unfolded display into an 11.6-inch landscape gaming screen. Desktop mode allows the device to connect to a dock with a wireless keyboard and touchpad.

The system runs on an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor with 32 GB RAM and a 48 Wh battery. The right controller includes a touchscreen for shortcuts and performance stats. Vivo has confirmed the launch date for its next budget-focused smartphone in India. The Vivo T5x 5G will be introduced on March 17, 2026, with the event scheduled for 12 PM IST. The phone is expected to succeed the Vivo T4x 5G, bringing a few notable upgrades aimed at users who want strong battery life and reliable everyday performance.

One of the biggest talking points is the battery. The T5x 5G is widely expected to pack a 7,200mAh battery, which the brand is marketing as the “Segment’s Biggest Battery.” The company is using silicon-carbon battery technology to help increase capacity without making the phone excessively bulky.

Charging support is rated at 44W wired fast charging. The phone is also expected to support reverse wired charging, along with bypass charging for situations like gaming.

Inside, the device will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor. The chipset has managed to cross the one-million mark on AnTuTu, which would put it comfortably in the upper tier of performance for this segment. On paper at least, it should handle multitasking and casual gaming without much difficulty. Durability is another area Vivo is highlighting. The phone is said to come with IP68 and IP69 ratings.

Camera hardware looks fairly straightforward. The rear setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX852 main sensor, which supports 4K video recording. On the front, the phone is expected to feature a 32MP selfie camera, which, if true, would be another notable upgrade over the 8MP selfie of the Vivo T4x.

Software will be based on Android 16, paired with OriginOS 6. The device is expected to receive two major Android updates along with four years of security patches.

As for pricing, Vivo hasn’t revealed anything yet. But early hints suggest the T5x 5G could launch under Rs 23,000. Once announced, it will be available through Flipkart, Vivo’s official online store, and retail outlets across India.

In a surprise development, Samsung clawed back to a dead tie with Apple on production volume in 2025. Both brands produced nearly 240 million smartphones in 2025, according to TrendForce.

Apple pushed out 87 million phones in Q4, a jump of 54 percent over Q3. Samsung managed 58.2 million. Apple’s shipments rose due to the newly announced iPhone 17 series, which is still selling impressively.

Samsung’s vertical supply chain integration and sheer volume across the rest of the year let it keep pace. The company grew 11 percent year over year for the full 12 months.

While others are sweating over memory price spikes, Samsung makes its own chips, its own displays, its own everything. That’s not just an advantage in 2026, it’s a lifeline.

2025 was fine; the global smartphone production hit around 1.254 billion units, up 2.5% annually. TrendForce projects global output will crater at least 10% to roughly 1.135 billion units in 2026.

Memory prices aren’t just rising, they are surging, and every brand now faces an ugly choice: hike retail prices and watch sales collapse.

Xiaomi, which finished third with 169.8 million units produced in 2025, already started cutting back in Q4. Xiaomi’s whole identity is built on affordable hardware that punches above its weight.

If Apple decides to get aggressive with iPhone pricing in 2026, this whole market could tilt sideways. A more competitive pricing strategy could help Apple sustain both production and sales momentum.

Samsung can probably stomach a price war better than most. Vertical integration means they control more of the cost structure than any rival.

ALoP Camera

The Galaxy S26 Ultra teardown reveals the use of ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) camera technology. That’s short for All Lenses on Prism, which stacks the glass horizontally instead of the traditional vertical setup.

The camera lenses now have a larger diameter for better brightness, and the whole telephoto module shrank by 22% while letting in 37% more light. The aperture went from f/3.4 to f/2.9 on that 5x periscope shooter.

Improved thermal

The vapor chamber grew roughly 15%, which translates to better heat dissipation during tasks like gaming or long video recording. What’s confirmed is the layered cooling approach. There are four layers now:

1. Vapor chamber
2. Graphite pad
3. Thermal pads
4. Newly added thermal paste

Samsung even slapped thermal paste on both the storage and DRAM chips, which sit right on top of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It’s a dynamic approach that cements the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s thermal beyond legacy tricks.

Battery and charging

Dual connectors on the battery improve safety and efficiency by splitting the current load during fast charging. Less heat, less stress on a single connection point that should’ve been there three generations ago.

S Pen situation

The S26 Ultra comes with an integrated stylus, like every Ultra before it but the old S Pen doesn’t fit anymore. The slot’s been redesigned with slightly thicker dimensions, and the S25 Ultra’s stylus won’t work properly if you try forcing compatibility.

Repairability

Pull tabs make battery removal straightforward, and the redesigned camera bump allows quicker repairs. Samsung finally built something you can actually fix without destroying it in the process.

Samsung had to spend a tremendous amount of money to purchase chips from Qualcomm. Over the years, Samsung’s spending on Snapdragon processors has increased significantly, and the Galaxy S27 may flip the script after all.

According to Chosun, Samsung is planning to push Exynos even harder in the Galaxy S27 series next year. The Ultra version could stay stuck to Snapdragon, while the base and Plus would increase the Exynos utilization.

If that happens, Samsung’s processor bill drops a lot. Samsung’s semiconductor division starts pulling its weight in mobile again, instead of just being the company that makes everyone else’s memory chips.

Meanwhile, Exynos has a reputation problem that won’t disappear overnight. Samsung has to deliver this time, with the Galaxy S26 itself. Not just a chip that’s “good enough” or “close to Snapdragon in most scenarios.”

The S26’s Exynos 2600 seems to have cleared that bar, at least based on early reception. But one generation doesn’t rebuild trust. The S27 will be the real test, the moment Samsung either proves it can compete or Snapdragon is necessary.

If the S27 lands with Exynos across the board and people barely notice, that’s when the balance of power starts to shift.

Samsung dropped nearly 14 trillion won last year buying chips from Qualcomm. The 2025 business report reveals that approximately 13.8 trillion won went to application processors alone, up 26.5% from the year before.

Samsung’s throwing in $50 discounts on all of these, which feels less like generosity and more like table stakes in March 2026.

The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra starts at $2,399, and that version pairs 32GB RAM and 1TB storage with the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H and an Intel Arc B390 GPU. If you want discrete graphics, you’ll need the $2,949 model.

Galaxy S26 series doesn’t feature a download mode, which is the primary requirement for the Samsung Odin tool to function. The feature’s departure was rumored earlier and it’s now confirmed after the devices went official.

Samsung may have found the Download mode a barrier in solidifying Galaxy’s security. Alternatives may have also been discussed, but the firmware flashing tool has ended up saying goodbye, starting with the Galaxy S26 series.

Galaxy users will feel the impact at the worst time. If something goes wrong with a new firmware update, there will be no option but to wait until an official fix arrives.

Previously, power users managed to roll back to the previous build. It required downloading firmware from third-party providers. The Odin tool allowed them to manually flash the firmware using a personal computer.

Samsung also dumped the Wipe cache from the recovery menu. The process has been integrated into the system software installation process. It was pretty famous among power users, and it was used after each firmware install.

At Unpacked, Samsung announced Perplexity’s AI assistant integration to the Galaxy S26 series, and recently, the company has removed its Hey Plex instant AI access. Samsung partnered with Perplexity to offer different AI services to improve user experience. For example, the Galaxy S26 series comes with Gemini, Bixby, and Perplexity. Users can select which one of these will be their go-to partner. They can also switch the agent at any time from the settings.

Similar to Gemini, Perplexity offers a voice wake-up feature, so when the Galaxy S26 user says “Hey Plex”, the app will launch a screen overlay of Perplexity’s voice agent to take the user command even when the screen is off.

What’s important about this partnership is that Perplexity has gained system-level access. So its AI can read from and write to system apps. With this capability, users can ask questions and get answers from the internet with source citations. Perplexity can also save information into Samsung Notes and edit it later.

Two days ago, I received my Galaxy S26 Ultra, and while checking its features, I come down to the Hey Plex. The feature was part of the Perplexity app, which comes preloaded on the device.

To check this capability, you need to go to the app’s settings and check “Hey Plex detection” under the Assistant section. Next, Perplexity asks you to set up the voice for Hey Plex activation. It asks you to repeat the on-screen sentences to record your voice, and it’s done.

I went through the process and activated the Hey Plex voice wake-up, and it was working as promised. However, the February 2026 security update has removed the Hey Plex detection option from the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Simply put, the Hey Plex wake-up phrase is no longer working on Galaxy S26 Ultra. This may be the same scenario across the lineup. However, you can still use Perplexity’s dedicated voice assistant on the side button.

We’ll have to wait and see when this feature turns up in a future update release.

Google’s Android LLVM toolchain team has just revealed one of those changes. It is bringing Automatic Feedback Directed Optimization, or AutoFDO, directly into the Android kernel, the deepest layer of the operating system.

According to Android Developers blog, the kernel alone accounts for roughly 40 percent of CPU time on Android devices. Improving efficiency at that level has ripple effects everywhere, including but not limited to:

• Faster app launches
• Better multitasking
• Lower battery drain

Android performance tweaks often happen quietly in the background. No flashy feature announcements, no shiny UI toggle in settings. But sometimes behind-the-scenes changes matter more than a new animation or icon pack.

For Galaxy users, this is important

Most Android optimizations traditionally happen in what engineers call userspace. That includes apps, system services, and the frameworks that sit on top of the Android operating system.

Compilers normally optimize software using educated guesses. AutoFDO replaces guesses with real usage data. Google runs a controlled lab setup where Android devices repeatedly launch and interact with the top 100 most popular apps.

Early testing across Android kernels 6.1, 6.6, and 6.12 shows consistent performance gains when the optimized kernel is used. In practical terms that means:

• Apps open quicker
• App switching feels smoother
• Background tasks stay responsive
• Battery life improves slightly

Since the optimization is being applied to the Generic Kernel Image, the shared kernel base used across Android devices, future Samsung phones running One UI will benefit from it as well.

Samsung will earn tremendous revenue from iPhone Fold as Apple buys its 12GB RAM. Apple is going shopping in its rival’s warehouse again. This time, the purchase order lands squarely on Samsung’s desk for 12GB LPDDR5X RAM.

According to TheBell, Apple recently issued a PO to Samsung for the 12GB LPDDR5X RAM destined for the iPhone Fold. Shipments could begin in the second quarter, aligning with Apple’s plan to launch the device in the second half.

Sources in the memory supply chain reveal that Samsung secured a price increase that is close to double last year’s rate for the LPDDR5X modules used in the foldable iPhone program.

Apple still receives a so called VIP discount compared to other customers, but the days of ultra cheap memory for the Cupertino tech giant appear to be fading.

The iPhone maker has long enjoyed preferential pricing from suppliers because of its massive scale. This time, Samsung pushed back and the reason is simple: the DRAM market flipped.

Apple typically spreads orders across multiple suppliers. That said, SK Hynix and Micron are also believed to have secured smaller DRAM allocations for the foldable program.

Samsung Display holds the real monopoly

Multiple reports have said that the OnePlus 16 will be equipped with a 200-megapixel camera. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra raised a few eyebrows when the company replaced the titanium frame used on previous models with Aluminum. Some people saw it as a downgrade on paper. Samsung, however, said the switch helped achieve a lighter and slimmer design while still keeping the phone durable. A new drop test from YouTuber PBKreviews now offers a better idea of how the phone actually holds up.

In the video, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is dropped multiple times from roughly head height onto concrete. This can happen unintentionally when a phone slips out of your hand or pocket. For the most part, the results are surprisingly good.

The front display, protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2, survives every drop without cracking. There’s no spiderweb pattern across the screen, and the display continues working normally throughout the test. The Armor Aluminum 2 frame also handles the impacts fairly well. It picks up visible dents and scratches, but there’s no structural damage and the phone remains fully functional.

Not everything escapes unscathed, though. One weak point appears to be the glass covering the camera lenses. In the test, the lens cover for the 50MP telephoto camera cracks during the first direct face-down drop and breaks further in later impacts. Despite that damage, the camera itself continues to function. The thinner camera ring design may leave the glass slightly more exposed to impacts.

Compared to the titanium frame on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the aluminum frame on the S26 Ultra seems to show scratches and dents more easily. Still, these appear to be mostly cosmetic rather than structural problems.

What makes the result notable is that the Galaxy S26 Ultra is thinner than before, measuring 7.9mm, compared to 8.2mm on the previous model. It’s also lighter at 214 grams. Maintaining that level of durability while reducing thickness is likely part of the reason Samsung opted for aluminum this time.

Overall, the test suggests the Galaxy S26 Ultra remains a durable flagship phone, even if the aluminum frame may pick up visible marks over time. For most users, especially those who use a case, the difference may not matter much in everyday use.

Although these devices have been spotted before, the NBTC listings have confirmed their monikers for the first time.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra with model number CPH2841 and the Find X9sv with model number CPH2873 have been approved by Thailand’s NBTC. As usual, the NBTC listings have not revealed anything about their specifications.

Both model numbers have previously appeared on Indonesia’s TKDN and SDPPI certification platforms. The Find X9s was also approved by India’s BIS authority back in January.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra, Find X9s: What to expect?

The Find X9 Ultra is expected to deliver an ultimate photography experience and rival the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra. This Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset-powered phone is expected to pack a quad-camera setup featuring a 200-megapixel Sony LYT-901 main camera, a 200-megapixel OmniVision OV52A periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultra-wide camera with a 15mm focal length.

The X9 Ultra is also expected to house a 6.82-inch OLED 2K 120Hz screen and a battery of around 7,000mAh capacity. It is expected to support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Find X9s could be a toned-down version of the existing Find X9. It will be one of the early adopters of the Dimensity 9500s chip and is likely to lack wireless charging. It will have a triple 50-megapixel camera setup on the back, but the camera sensors may not be the same as the X9. The rest of the specs could be identical between both phones.

Xiaomi claims the lamp maintains minimal glare with a UGR rating below 13 and reduces visible hand shadows on the desk.

The lamp includes AI-based brightness adjustment with an ambient light sensor for stable illumination and a 24GHz radar sensor for detecting user presence. It learns user lighting preferences over time for more precise adjustments.

In terms of control, the lamp offers options via a touch panel, Bluetooth remote, or the Mijia app, allowing users to customize brightness, sensor settings, and lighting modes like study, ambient, and screen modes.

The Study Lamp 2 features a 90-degree rotatable head and covers a desk area of 1.2m x 0.6m. It delivers over 1,800 lux brightness in the central area with high uniformity. JMGO has released the N3 Ultimate 4K laser projector in Japan. The projector is designed for large-screen home viewing and supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It can project an image as large as 300 inches, making it suitable for home theater setups in living rooms or dedicated media rooms.

The N3 Ultimate uses JMGO’s MALC 5.0 triple-laser optical engine, which uses separate red, green, and blue lasers. This system delivers 5,800 ISO lumens of brightness, allowing the projector to produce clear images even in rooms with ambient light. JMGO says the projector offers a 20,000:1 native contrast ratio and up to 3,000,000:1 dynamic contrast. It also achieves Delta E ≈ 0.7 color accuracy and covers about 110 percent of the BT.2020 color space, helping reproduce accurate colors across different types of content.

The projector includes AI image processing designed to improve picture quality automatically. It analyzes scenes in real time and adjusts brightness, contrast, and color depending on the content being displayed. The system can also enhance darker scenes by identifying shadow details and adjusting the laser output so that objects in dark areas remain visible while black levels stay deep.

Installation is designed to be simple. The projector can scan the room and detect furniture, shelves, and other obstacles. It then suggests the best projection position and automatically adjusts the image alignment. Users can also save preferred projection positions so the projector remembers them and restores them automatically when moved.

The N3 Ultimate supports optical zoom with a 0.88 to 1.7:1 throw ratio, allowing a 100-inch image from about 1.9 meters away. It also supports horizontal lens shift up to ±53 percent and vertical lens shift up to ±130 percent. These adjustments use physical lens movement rather than digital correction, which helps maintain image clarity.

The projector runs Google TV 5.0, giving access to more than 10,000 apps, including YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, U-NEXT, Hulu, and ABEMA. It also supports Google Assistant voice control. For sound, the device includes dual 12.5 W speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS:X certification.

Gaming support is also included. The projector supports 1080p resolution at up to 240 Hz, variable refresh rate, and input latency as low as 1 ms.

Pricing & availability

The JMGO N3 Ultimate is priced at 499,180 yen, which is about $3,200, on the company’s website in Japan. It is also available for pre-order on Amazon US for $3,599.

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Kids Electric Toothbrush Pro, a smart toothbrush designed to help children develop better brushing habits. The company has also announced a 0-yuan public testing program for the product.

The toothbrush features a color display with animated brushing guidance. The screen provides step-by-step instructions, 30-second reminders to switch brushing zones, and positive feedback after the two-minute brushing cycle. Xiaomi says the animations make brushing more engaging for kids while promoting proper techniques. The toothbrush uses a six-axis motion sensor paired with AI algorithms to monitor brushing coverage. It highlights missed areas in orange and ensures children achieve complete cleaning.

Xiaomi has included real-time brushing speed and pressure detection. The toothbrush lights up in red and vibrates if it detects excessive horizontal brushing speed, helping children avoid damaging their enamel or gums. A ring around the handle changes color based on brushing pressure, with green indicating correct force and red signaling excessive pressure.

The toothbrush offers three cleaning modes tailored to different age groups. It provides a gentle mode for kids aged 3-6 and a stronger mode for children aged 7-12. Parents can customize brushing intensity through the Mijia app, which also tracks brushing performance and generates detailed reports. The app allows users to mark dental conditions like cavities and create personalized brushing plans.

The toothbrush features fluoride-infused bristles with rounded edges to protect gums, a flexible, shock-absorbing head, and a soft rubber coating with a silicone protective ring to enhance comfort and prevent contact with the throat.

The Mijia Toothbrush Pro includes IPX8 waterproofing and a 90-day battery life. It charges via USB-C and takes four hours for a full charge. Xiaomi also offers personalization stickers, making the toothbrush more appealing to children.

Honor just took the wraps off the new Magic V6 foldable. Next up, the company may be preparing something very different, a gaming laptop.

According to a post from Chinese tech tipster Digital Chat Station, the gaming machine is powered by an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 GPU.

The leaker claims to have briefly tested the laptop and says that the system was running its cooling fans at full capacity during use. While that detail doesn’t reveal much about sustained performance yet, it does suggest that the hardware inside is designed for heavier workloads.

According to the post, the prototype configuration includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM and storage options of either 512GB or 1TB SSD. 

Honor WIN 2 is also incoming!

Interestingly, the blogger also suggested a possible name for the device: “WIN Gaming Laptop.” The name appears to connect the laptop with Honor’s “WIN” lineup of smartphones; however, it is certainly not the marketing name.

The leak also mentions a new smartphone. The next-generation Honor WIN 2 smartphone is reportedly already in mold testing, which usually happens during the early hardware development stage. The leaker claims both the core configuration and peripheral components are currently being finalized.

None of this has been officially confirmed by Honor yet, but the company has previously hinted that a gaming laptop is on the way. Back in December, Zhu Chencai, general manager of PC products at Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., said on social media that a new gaming laptop was nearing release.

Later that same month, during a product launch event, Honor reiterated that the device would arrive sometime this year. The company also said the laptop would serve as the designated machine for the Delta Force Professional League.

For now, most of the details remain unofficial. But we’ll keep you in the loop if more information surfaces.

Honor Magic V6 has officially launched today in China. The new foldable arrives with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a large 7,150mAh battery, and a design that Honor says is durable and thin.

The phone starts at 8,999 yuan (about $1,250) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. A 12GB + 512GB version costs 9,999 yuan (around $1,390), while the 16GB + 512GB model is priced at 10,999 yuan (about $1,530). 

The top-tier configuration with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage goes up to 11,999 yuan (roughly $1,670). It’s available in four colors: Red Rabbit Red, Sunrise Gold, Snow White, and Velvet Black.

Honor Magic V6 Specifications

One of the main talking points is what Honor calls its “black diamond screen.” According to the company, the external display is coated with 5,600 layers of silicon nitride designed to improve wear resistance by three times compared to previous designs. The foldable display also includes a low-reflection coating with reflectivity rated at just 1.5 percent.

Honor demonstrated the screen’s durability during the launch event by pressing a power drill against it, claiming the display remained intact. The company says the phone can be used without a protective case and should maintain reliability for up to 36 months.

The inner foldable screen also introduces what Honor says is a “seamless crease” design. According to the brand, it reduces the visible fold, or crease, by 44 percent compared to the previous generation. The display structure includes an anti-reflective protective layer, an impact-resistant UTG glass layer, and a carbon fiber support layer. Honor claims this setup improves impact resistance by about 33 percent and has received eye-protection certification from TÜV Rheinland.

The inner display can reach up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, while the outer screen can hit 6,000 nits. Both support 4,320Hz PWM dimming and stylus input. 

The foldable is also thin

In terms of design, the Magic V6 weighs about 219 grams and measures roughly 8.75mm thick when folded and 4.0mm when unfolded. Its among the lightest and thinnest foldable phones so far. The device features a 3D textured back panel and an aerospace-grade aluminum frame.

The Magic V6 also carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings and is rated to survive water depths of up to four meters.

Despite being slim, the foldable packs a 7,150mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with silicon content exceeding 32 percent. The battery has an energy density of 985Wh/L, which Honor claims is a record for foldable devices. Honor also offers a second model with a 6,850mAh battery and slightly lower silicon content.

On the camera side, the Magic V6 includes a 64-megapixel telephoto camera using a 1/2-inch sensor and supports CIPA 6.5 level stabilization. Honor has also integrated its AiMAGE color engine and AI-assisted photography features like intelligent composition and dual-screen shooting previews.

Honor is also introducing what it calls an “AI Intelligence Officer,” which can proactively push news or scheduled content. The Magic V6 supports AI translation across 14 languages, real-time screen translation, and a range of gaming optimizations, including 120FPS support.

Connectivity is another area Honor highlights. The device supports 25 5G bands across more than 200 regions and is the first phone to support BeiDou satellite SMS services across China’s three major carriers.

Interestingly, the Magic V6 also has several features designed to work with Apple devices. Users can access iCloud Photo Library, extend their Mac display wirelessly, transfer files to a Mac with one tap, and connect with AirPods or Apple Watch features.

Red Magic has launched the Cooler 8 Air in China, a smartphone cooling accessory designed for gamers and performance users. The cooler weighs 65 grams and supports 18W power output, achieving cooling temperatures as low as −20°C. The company has priced the Cooler 8 Air at a promotional launch price of 129 yuan ($18), down from its regular price of 149 yuan ($22).

The Cooler 8 Air has a compact design with dimensions of 63 x 21 mm. Red Magic claims the device is as light as a typical phone case, which helps reduce hand fatigue during extended gaming sessions. The slim 21 mm profile ensures it does not interfere with hand placement, allowing users to maintain a comfortable grip while gaming.

Red Magic has equipped the cooler with a thermoelectric cooling (TEC) module. The module helps reduce smartphone temperatures by up to 45°C under no-load conditions and delivers a minimum cooling temperature of −20°C. The device operates at 18W power output, which enables efficient cooling without increasing bulk.

The company enhanced the cooler with a larger 30 x 30 mm TEC cooling plate, increasing the core cooling area by 44%. Additionally, a 45 mm aluminum alloy heat dissipation surface expands the cooling area by 40%, improving heat distribution across the phone’s surface.

The cooler features a seven-blade fan that runs at speeds of up to 6000 RPM. Despite its high speed, the fan maintains noise levels as low as 30 dB, comparable to a quiet indoor environment.

The device includes RGB lighting with six customizable LEDs. It also offers dual installation options, with a magnetic attachment for iPhone 12 and newer models and an optional clip-on system for Android devices. The clip-on version costs 139 yuan ($20), and the clip can be purchased separately for 20 yuan ($2.8).
