Flydubai Expands Routes to Latvia: New Direct Flights from Dubai to Riga Set to Strengthen Tourism and Business Connections
Flydubai launches direct flights from Dubai to Riga, becoming the first UAE airline to serve Latvia’s capital. The route promises to boost tourism and trade between both regions.

In a significant move to bolster connectivity between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Baltic region, Flydubai has inaugurated its three-weekly direct flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Riga International Airport (RIX). The service marks a historic milestone as Flydubai becomes the first UAE carrier to offer nonstop flights to Latvia’s capital, opening up a new gateway for both tourism and business between the two countries.

The new route not only strengthens Flydubai’s extensive European network but also highlights the growing importance of Latvia as a rising destination for both leisure and corporate travelers. Flydubai’s commitment to expanding its reach in the Baltic region is evident with this new addition, joining earlier expansions to destinations like Vilnius in Lithuania.

A Bold Step for UAE–Latvia Connections

The launch of direct flights from Dubai to Riga brings together two key global hubs: Dubai, a city known for its business-friendly environment, world-class attractions, and strategic location, and Riga, a vibrant cultural and economic center in the heart of the Baltic States. Flydubai’s new route opens up possibilities for travelers seeking to explore Latvia’s rich history, scenic landscapes, and charming medieval architecture.

For tourists from the UAE and wider Gulf region, the direct flight makes it easier than ever to experience Riga’s famed Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or the stunning landscapes of Latvia’s national parks. Whether it’s a romantic city break, a cultural exploration, or a business trip, this new route caters to a growing demand for connections to the Baltic countries.

At the same time, Latvian travelers now have seamless access to Dubai’s luxury shopping, innovative experiences, and endless opportunities in trade and investment. The move is expected to foster greater collaboration in the tourism, trade, and technology sectors between the UAE and Latvia, which have been strengthening bilateral ties in recent years.

Flydubai’s Continued European Expansion

This latest launch is part of Flydubai’s broader European expansion strategy, which includes the addition of other Baltic destinations, including Vilnius, Lithuania, earlier this year. With over 35 European destinations, Flydubai’s new services are designed to cater to the increasing demand for direct flights between the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Flydubai’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, commented on the significance of the route: “Our new service to Riga underscores Flydubai’s commitment to expanding our network to underserved destinations while strengthening the ties between the UAE and Europe. We are proud to be the first UAE carrier to connect Dubai to Latvia and look forward to supporting the growing demand for travel between both regions.”

The introduction of direct flights will also bring with it increased connectivity for travelers, with seamless codeshare options available through Flydubai’s partnership with Emirates. This means travelers flying to Riga from the Middle East can easily transfer to a wide range of destinations across the Emirates network, including popular destinations in Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Riga: The New Travel Gem for Middle Eastern Visitors

Riga, Latvia’s largest city, is a growing tourist destination known for its art nouveau architecture, rich cultural heritage, and proximity to beautiful coastal regions. In addition to its thriving tourism sector, the city also serves as a hub for international business and trade, particularly in the areas of IT, finance, and transport. Latvia has been attracting investment from global markets, with Dubai-based investors seeing increased opportunities in the Baltic region.

With the new Flydubai service, visitors to Riga can explore its historical landmarks, indulge in the vibrant food scene, and enjoy the city’s dynamic arts and culture scene. Whether it’s visiting the Riga Art Nouveau district, attending a local festival, or discovering the rich traditions of the region, there’s something for every kind of traveler in this beautiful European capital.

Impact on Tourism and Trade: What’s Next?

In terms of tourism, the new flight promises to open Latvia to a wave of Middle Eastern visitors, enhancing the region’s presence on the global tourism map. According to Latvia’s national tourism board, the Middle East market is increasingly showing interest in the Baltic States, with travel data showing rising numbers of visitors from the UAE and surrounding countries in recent years.

As more UAE travelers seek new, culturally enriching experiences in Europe, Latvia presents a unique destination combining the best of both worlds: historical significance and modern conveniences. For Latvian travelers, Dubai offers a world-class experience, from its luxury hotels and iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa to its vibrant dining and entertainment scene. The accessibility of Dubai’s international business community also provides further incentives for Latvian entrepreneurs and professionals looking to explore the region’s opportunities.

Moreover, the launch of Flydubai’s direct flight to Riga comes at a time when UAE–Latvia relations are growing stronger, with diplomatic, cultural, and commercial exchanges on the rise. Latvia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed this new connection, acknowledging the growing importance of expanding routes to Dubai for both tourism and economic collaboration.

The Flydubai Experience: Why Choose This Route?

Flydubai’s commitment to providing passengers with seamless travel experiences is evident in the airline’s service offerings. Passengers on the Dubai–Riga route will enjoy modern amenities, including spacious seating, a variety of in-flight entertainment options, and premium services for those traveling in business class.

Flydubai also offers competitive pricing, making it easier for budget-conscious travelers to visit Riga without compromising on comfort. Additionally, the airline’s extensive flight network, both within the UAE and across Europe, means that travelers can combine their Riga journey with connections to other cities, ensuring flexibility and convenience.

The Emirates codeshare partnership further enhances the travel experience, with passengers able to book connecting flights to more than 240 destinations worldwide. This opens up greater travel opportunities, not just for those flying from Dubai to Riga, but for travelers across Europe, Asia, and beyond.

Conclusion: A New Chapter in UAE-Latvia Travel Connections

Flydubai’s direct flight service to Riga is a game-changer for travelers, business professionals, and tourism stakeholders alike. By connecting Dubai to Latvia, the airline is not only enhancing travel options but also fostering closer trade ties and cultural exchange between the two regions. The new service is set to become a vital link in the growing network of air travel options between the Middle East and Eastern Europe, making Latvia’s capital city more accessible than ever before.

As Riga prepares for a surge of visitors, the Flydubai route promises to open new doors for tourism, investment, and business opportunities. For UAE travelers, it’s an exciting chance to discover a new corner of Europe, rich with history, culture, and opportunity. For Latvian visitors, Dubai beckons with its modern allure, world-class services, and vast economic potential.

Proposed "perfect" Red Sox trade sees Boston deal Jarren Duran, prospects for $15.5 million two-time All-Star ace

Proposed "perfect" Red Sox trade sees Boston deal Jarren Duran, prospects for $15.5 million two-time All-Star ace originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.

The Boston Red Sox found their ace in Garrett Crochet this year, after trading for him around this time last year. Now, they’ve made some moves to finally get him some support in the rotation, but none of those moves are truly a No. 2 to back him up.

Fansided’s Cody Williams believes he has the perfect trade for a name that’s been floated around as an option: Milwaukee Brewers All-Star Freddy Peralta.

“While Boston has long looked like an obvious suitor for Peralta, the trade assets haven't necessarily lined up perfectly for both them and Milwaukee…Now, the Brewers still aren't in need of outfield help, so to speak, but there is certainly room to upgrade over the likes of Jake Bauers, Garrett Mitchell or Blake Perkins, which Duran or Abreu would allow them to do. Furthermore, in typical fashion for Milwaukee, they could flip an asset they're unlikely to be able to pay in Peralta for immediate major-league upgrades with plenty of club control at low cost and prospects that could help keep the ball rolling under Pat Murphy,” Williams wrote.

MORE: Cubs predicted to trade for $3.75 million 150 SO ace to create 1-2 punch with Shota Imanaga

The trade would look like this:

Red Sox get: RHP Freddy Peralta

Brewers get: OF Jarren Duran, SS Franklin Arias (No. 1 Prospect), RHP Juan Valera (No. 12 Prospect)

MORE: Mariners predicted to trade for $5.75 million All-Star, Gold Glove as amazing replacement for Jorge Polanco

Peralta posted a 17-6 record, a 2.70 ERA, 204 Ks, and a WHIP of 1.075 over 176 innings pitched last season. Combine him with Crochet, and the Sox have a World Series-contending-level rotation.

The only problem with this is it’s basically a one-year rental. Peralta’s contract is up after this year, and he’s projected to get a five-year, $152 million deal

The Sox have shown they don’t believe in giving long-term contracts out to players over 30, and Peralta will be 30 in the upcoming season. Hopefully, the Sox make an exception, get uncomfortable like they said they would, and pursue this trade.

Yuri Vernidub: “Neftçi”yə yalnız çempionluq yaraşır”

13 December 2025 at 13:00

“Neftçi”nin yeni baş məşqçisi, ukraunalı futbol mütəxəssisi Yuri Vernidub paytaxt klubunun rəsmi saytına müsahibə verib.

Arena.az xəbər verir ki, ukraynalı mütəxəssis “Neftçi”yə gəlişi və hədəflər haqda danışıb.

– “Neftçi”yə gəlişiniz necə baş tutdu?
– Əslində, həm ölkə daxilindən, həm də ölkə xaricindən təkliflərim var idi. Amma “Neftçi”dən təklif gələn kimi digərlərini kənara qoydum.

Yuri Vernidub hədəflərini açıqladı

Hər şeyin fərqindəyəm. “Neftçi”ni hər oyunda nəticədən asılı olmayaraq, sonadək dəstəklədiklərindən xəbərdaram. Çalışacağıq və əlimizdən gələni edəcəyik ki, onların ümidlərini doğruldaq, hər oyundan sonra onları evlərinə sevinclə yola salaq. Azarkeşlərdən də xahiş edirəm ki, futbolçulardan dəstəklərini əsirgəməsinlər.

Former Brewers catcher Danny Jansen gets multi-year deal with Rangers

Appleton West High School alumnus Danny Jansen, who spent the latter portion of the 2025 season with the Milwaukee Brewers, signed a two-year, $14.5 million deal with the Texas Rangers, a source told MLB.com.

The Rangers reportedly made a flurry of moves Dec. 12, including the signing of another 2025 Brewers player, Tyler Alexander, though the club hadn't confirmed the signings as of the morning of Dec. 13.

Milwaukee Brewers catcher Danny Jansen rounds first base after hitting a two-run home run against the Cincinnati Reds.

Jansen joined the Brewers shortly before the trade deadline, acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays, where he was stationed after signing a one-year offseason deal.

Jansen, 30, batted only .215 last year between his two stops but still posted a highly respectable .779 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage) in 25 games with the Brewers, including three home runs. Jansen was often left on the bench with William Contreras handling such a large share of the catching innings; Jansen didn't even appear in the postseason despite his place on the Brewers roster throughout.

Jansen homered and drove in two runs in a 4-2 win over Cincinnati on Sept. 28, a win in the regular-season finale that represented a franchise-record 97th victory for Milwaukee.

Alexander posted a 6.19 earned-run average with the Brewers in 21 games at the start of the 2025 season before the club released him in June, and he finished the year with a 4.26 ERA per 31 games with the White Sox.

Former Brewers reliever Hoby Milner to Cubs

Former Brewers left-handed reliever Hoby Milner is going the opposite direction of Jansen, relocating from Texas back to the Midwest, this time as a member of the rival Cubs.

Milner reportedly signed a one-year deal worth $3.75 million with the Cubs.

Milner posted a 3.84 ERA with the Rangers in 2025 over 70 innings of work, his highest career workload. From 2021-24 with the Brewers, Milner posted a 3.64 ERA. He turns 35 in January.

The Kaktus Hotel: Sustainable Design and Lifestyle Focus Redefine Conscious Travel Experience

The Kaktus Hotel: Sustainable Design and Lifestyle Focus Redefine Conscious Travel Experience

The modern traveler is undergoing a profound transformation. The days of simply booking a room for a night are fading; today’s guest seeks an experience that aligns with their personal values, lifestyle, and global consciousness. They demand more than luxury; they require purpose. Recognizing this seismic shift, The Kaktus Hotel emerges as a direct answer, positioning itself not merely as accommodation, but as a holistic hub for conscious travel, lifestyle, and genuine connection. It is a revolutionary hospitality concept that understands that true sophistication in the 21st century lies not in extravagance, but in ethical and intentional design. The Kaktus Hotel promises a stay that is both deeply restorative and globally responsible.

Conscious Design: Where Sustainability Meets Style

The foundational principle of The Kaktus Hotel lies in its commitment to conscious design and sustainability. Every aspect of the property—from its construction materials to its daily operations—is likely infused with an ethical ethos. This involves prioritizing locally sourced, renewable, or recycled materials, minimizing the hotel’s carbon footprint, and implementing energy-efficient systems.

The use of the name “Kaktus” itself suggests resilience, low environmental impact, and an aesthetic inspired by arid, natural beauty. This translates into design elements that are minimalist yet warm, featuring natural textures, earthen tones, and abundant natural light. The aesthetic choice is deliberate: it’s intended to foster a sense of calm and connection to the environment, demonstrating that luxury and ecological responsibility are not mutually exclusive, but rather enhance one another. The architecture and interiors are designed to tell a story of respectful integration with the local ecosystem.

The Hub for Lifestyle and Connection

Beyond the physical space, The Kaktus Hotel is built around the philosophy of fostering human connection and an integrated lifestyle. It actively rejects the isolating nature of traditional hotels. Instead, it features communal spaces—co-working areas, shared kitchens, vibrant lounges, and carefully curated workshop venues—that encourage guests to interact, exchange ideas, and build temporary communities. The hotel programs are not just amenities; they are catalysts for connection. Think morning yoga sessions, local artisan workshops, sustainability lectures, or communal dining experiences that bring solo travelers and families together around shared interests and values.

The hotel aims to seamlessly integrate the guest’s personal lifestyle into their travel experience. This means providing high-quality, healthy dining options that cater to diverse dietary needs, offering bespoke wellness services, and curating local experiences that go beyond the typical tourist traps. By championing authentic, localized activities, The Kaktus Hotel ensures that the guest’s stay enriches the local community as much as it enriches the traveler.

The Economic and Social Pillars of Ethical Travel

The concept of conscious travel at The Kaktus Hotel extends deep into its economic and social practices. The hotel is likely committed to supporting local economies through fair hiring practices, procurement of goods and services from small, local vendors, and promoting cultural preservation. This ethical framework ensures that a significant portion of the tourism revenue stays within the host community, thereby ensuring that the hotel’s presence is a source of regional growth, not merely external exploitation.

Furthermore, the hotel is likely transparent about its sustainability metrics and social impact, giving guests the power to make informed choices. This transparency is a key differentiator in the conscious travel market, appealing to guests who want their travel dollars to have a positive influence. Guests feel good knowing that their choice of accommodation actively contributes to a better standard of living for the hotel staff and local suppliers.

A Model for the Future of Hospitality

The Kaktus Hotel represents a blueprint for the future of hospitality. It recognizes that the most powerful drivers for the next generation of travelers are authenticity, purpose, and community. It moves the focus away from superficial extravagance toward experiential richness and ethical integrity. By successfully marrying sleek, desirable design with a deeply embedded environmental and social ethos, The Kaktus Hotel is pioneering a new standard. It demonstrates that the most successful hotel brands of tomorrow will be those that prioritize the planet and people alongside profit, effectively turning a necessary utility into a platform for positive global change. It is an oasis where one can truly relax, reconnect, and travel with a clear conscience.

12 December 2025 at 16:28

Venezia have opened talks with Spezia left-back Giuseppe Aurelio, who wants to leave his club next month.

Aurelio is expected to leave Spezia in the next transfer window.

The left-back, born in 2000, wants to embark on a new experience and clearly considers his time with the Ligurian club to be over.

Aurelio has scored two goals and provided one assist in 12 Serie B matches this season.

In recent days, several Serie B clubs have made inquiries, but Venezia have stepped up the pressure and want to give Giovanni Stroppa another quality addition.

The squad from the lagoon is already very competitive. The goal is to reach Serie A without going through the play-off, and nothing will be left to chance in order to raise the team’s quality level.

Talks for Aurelio are underway, and Venezia are serious about it.

JUMP TO:

The MLB offseason can sometimes move at a painfully slow pace, but if history is any indication, December will be the busiest month — thanks in part to the Winter Meetings, which can sometimes lead to a flurry of player movement.

The annual congregation of executives, managers, free agents and, of course, agents takes place in Orlando this year, and there is plenty of business to get done.

Names such as Dylan Cease, Pete Alonso and Edwin Díaz are already off the board and headed to new teams. Meanwhile, a number of big names remain unsigned or involved in trade rumors.

Speaking of the trade market, things on that front could be worth watching more closely in the coming days. While a Tarik Skubal trade doesn’t seem imminent or even particularly likely this offseason, Ketel Marte, MacKenzie Gore and Jarren Duran are among the names who have surfaced in rumors.

The Sporting News is tracking all of the latest buzz below, from rumors to signings and trades. Follow along with the latest updates.

Garcia is coming off a breakout season, producing an .800 OPS, a 5.8 bWAR and his first All-Star appearance. The 25-year-old is now locked in with Kansas City for the next five years, forming a dynamic pair with SS Bobby Witt Jr.

Mets have interest in White Sox OF Luis Robert

New York has a vacancy in the outfield after trading Brandon Nimmo earlier in the offseason, and Robert is a possible trade candidate. Baddoo has spent his entire career with the Tigers until this point, but only played in seven games last year. The 27-year-old outfielder now gets a fresh start in Milwaukee.

Suarez was the best reliever on the market after Edwin Diaz and Devin Williams found homes, and the former Padres reliever is now headed to Atlanta. The three-year deal worth $45 million in the a similar range as Williams' and Diaz's contracts, as the reliever joins Raisel Iglesias in the back of Atlanta's bullpen.

A's, RP Mark Leiter Jr. agree to deal

Leiter spent the past 1.5 seasons with the Yankees, but was non-tendered during the offseason. He provides the Athletics a reliable bullpen arm that has pitched in big moments before.

Cody Bellinger "could be waiting" for Kyle Tucker to sign

Kuty reports that Bellinger's agent, Scott Boras, may prefer Tucker to be off the board before finalizing a potential Bellinger deal. Bellinger and Tucker represent the top two outfielders on the market, so Boras may feel as though any team that misses on Tucker would then try to pivot to Bellinger.

Braves sign Mike Yastrzemski to three-year deal

The Braves made their first major move of the offseason by signing outfielder Mike Yastrzemski to a two-year, $23 million deal. The contract includes a third-year club option.

Mets never made offer to Pete Alonso

The Mets never made an offer to Alonso, Joel Sherman reports, noting that they knew the first baseman was receiving offers longer and more expensive than they were comfortable going.

Pete Alonso signing a five-year, $155 million deal with Orioles

Pete Alonso is leaving Queens and heading to the AL East — but not to a team people expected. It is the Orioles that will be the first baseman's new home, as the free agent agreed to a five-year contract $155 million deal with Baltimore. It gives the Orioles a veteran slugger to add to their mix of young studs.

Brian Cashman says Yankees 'not an open blank checkbook'

Speaking to reporters at the Winter Meetings, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said while the franchise is "aggressive," it cannot be an "open blank checkbook" when it comes to spending money. "Everything adds up. Everything counts," Cashman said. The Yankees have had a quiet offseason outside of Trent Grisham accepting his qualifying offer to return in 2026.

Mets, Yankees, Orioles check in on Kyle Tucker

The Mets, Yankees, Orioles and "most all big-market teams" have checked in on top free agent Kyle Tucker, Jon Heyman reports.

Dodgers not willing to go long-term to sign Kyle Tucker

The Dodgers would be willing to give OF Kyle Tucker a lucrative deal for three or four years but are reluctant to give out a deal spanning six or seven years, The Athletic reports.

Pirates interested in Brandon Lowe

The Pirates are remaining aggressive after missing on Kyle Schwarber and have talked to the Rays about 2B Brandon Lowe, Jon Morosi reports.

Red Sox viewed as strong candidates for Ketel Marte

The Red Sox are seen as strong candidates for Ketel Marte compared to the Blue Jays because of their young starting pitching depth, Jon Morosi reports. The Diamondbacks have been known to be targeting young starters in any Marte talks.

Tigers re-sign Kyle Finnegan

The Tigers have agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal to bring back reliever Kyle Finnegan. Acquired from the Nationals at the July deadline, Finnegan impressed with a 1.50 ERA and 11.5 K/9 rate in 16 appearances with the Tigers, putting himself in line for save opportunities in 2026.

Rangers, Red Sox discuss Corey Seager trade

The Red Sox have discussed a Corey Seager trade with the Rangers, the Boston Globe reports, though WEEI's Rob Bradford says the talks don't have momentum at the moment. Seager has been a superstar with the Rangers when healthy, but Texas is on a mission to shed salary this winter and the two-time World Series MVP still has six years remaining on his massive contract.

Marlins talking Edward Cabrera trade

Before Kyle Schwarber agreed to re-sign with the Phillies, Baltimore matched Philadelphia's offer of five years, $150 million, per Rosenthal. The Reds offered Schwarber a five-year deal "in the $125 million range," while the Pirates offered four years and $120 million.

Red Sox viewed as stronger candidate for Ketel Marte than Blue Jays

Per Jon Morosi, within the AL East, the Red Sox are viewed as a stronger trade candidate for star infielder Ketel Marte than the Blue Jays, because of Boston's depth of MLB-ready starters.

Scott Boras expects Pete Alonso's market to heat up

Speaking at the Winter Meetings, agent Scott Boras said he expects 1B Pete Alonso's market to pick up now that Kyle Schwarber has signed. Alonso has reportedly been in and out of the meetings to meet with teams, including the Red Sox and Orioles.

Tigers interested in Ha-Seong Kim

The Tigers have been floated as a potential Alex Bregman suitor, but they also have real interest in SS Ha-Seong Kim, according to the Detroit Free Press. Kim, a terrific defender, landed with the Rays last offseason but missed most of 2025 and finished the year with the Braves. After a healthy September, Kim opted out of his deal.

Mets could be reluctant to go beyond three years for Alonso

The Mets "may be hesitant to go more than three years" on a new deal for 1B Pete Alonso, MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reports, which could complicate the path to a reunion between the two sides. Alonso settled for a short deal last winter but is looking for long-term security this time around after a strong season at the plate.

Angels swing minor deal for Vaughn Grissom

The Angels are acquiring infielder Vaughn Grissom from the Red Sox, in exchange for OF prospect Isaiah Jackson. Grissom, Boston's one-for-one return for Chris Sale two years ago, struggled in a brief MLB stint in 2024 and spent all of 2025 in the minor leagues, posting a .783 OPS. 2026 will be Grissom's age-25 season.

Padres 'shooting big' in trade talks

The Padres and GM A.J. Preller are "shooting big" in trade talks and working on "multiple fronts" to put together significant deals, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Mets, Blue Jays now top suitors for Robert Suarez

With the Mets' former closer, Edwin Diaz, off the market, New York is now viewed as a suitor for the new top available reliever, Robert Suarez. The Blue Jays are also in the mix, per Jon Morosi.

Dodgers agree to deal with Edwin Diaz

Former Mets closer Edwin Diaz has agreed to a deal with the Dodgers, according to The Athletic's Will Sammon, bolstering a bullpen that was a rare weakness for much of the regular season in 2025.

Diaz's deal is worth $69 million over three years, per Jeff Passan.

Phillies re-sign Kyle Schwarber

The Phillies have agreed to a five-year, $150 million deal to re-sign DH Kyle Schwarber, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan. Schwarber, who was the runner-up for NL MVP in 2025, was also pursued by the Reds, Pirates, Orioles and Mets.

Alex Bregman still Red Sox' No. 1 target

While the Red Sox are taking a look at a bevy of infielders, including Pete Alonso, Bo Bichette and Ketel Marte, a reunion with Alex Bregman remains Boston's "No. 1 target," according to The Athletic. A trade for Isaac Paredes could be a fallback option if a deal can't be reached with Bregman.

Scott Harris says he "doesn't believe in untouchable players" regarding Tarik Skubal

Harris answered a question about Tarik Skubal's trade status, as the executive said he wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't listen. Skubal has one year left on his contract, which could prompt Detroit to trade him before the season begins if the team gets a good deal.

Rays agree to deal P Steven Matz

Matz is a former starter who transitioned to the bullpen last season, and found success with the Red Sox late in the year, finishing the season with a 3.05 ERA between St. Louis and Boston. Topkin adds that the deal will span two years.

Brewers RP Trevor Megill drawing interest from Mets, Yankees

Megill was the best relievers on the Brewers last year, but Milwaukee is always exploring different ways to mix up its team. The Yankees have a reliever vacancy after losing Devin Williams to the Mets in free agency, but the Mets also still need to upgrade their bullpen.

Astros, Rays have discussed Shane Baz trade

According to Rome, no deal is close, but Houston's interest in Baz is real and could be the type of move that the team prefers. Baz is coming off a season where he made a career-high 31 starts for the Rays, but still pitched to a 4.87 ERA.

Yankees have checking in on Nationals SP MacKenzie Gore

Gore is one of several pitchers who could be traded, as the Nats look to build for the future. While Golden also reports the Red Sox and Padres explored a Gore trade at the trade deadline, he specifically names the Yankees as a team that has made a call in recent days.

Mets, Blue Jays, Dodgers among teams interested in Robert Suarez

Suarez is one of the top relievers on the market, and the Mets, Blue Jays and Dodgers are all teams that have shown interest in improving their bullpens. Those three teams have also been linked to top closer Edwin Diaz, which makes Suarez a potential fallback option.

Kyle Schwarber likely the next name to come off the board

Cotillo added that other teams may be waiting for Schwarber to sign before moving on to other players. While the Phillies are believed to be the favorite to retain the DH, but the Red Sox, Mets, Reds and Pirates have all been linked to Schwarber as well.

Diamondbacks targeting starters in Ketel Marte talks

The Diamondbacks are willing to listen on 2B Ketel Marte and are emphasizing MLB-ready starting pitchers in talks, but their asking price remains high, according to Jon Morosi. Marte has been one of the hottest names as the Winter Meetings get underway, indicating teams believe he can be had in a trade, and interested teams  reportedly include the Red Sox, Blue Jays and Mariners.

Orioles interested in Ranger Suarez

The Orioles are in on free agent starter Ranger Suarez, Jon Heyman reports. Suarez is one of the top free agent arms available, and Baltimore has been connected to starters since the offseason began.

Pete Alonso to meet with Red Sox, Orioles

Free agent 1B Pete Alonso is heading to the Winter Meetings to meet with interested suitors, including the Red Sox and Orioles, according to the New York Post. Alonso lives a short drive away from Orlando, so he will meet in-person with interested teams.

Brian Cashman says Yankees are covered in 'most areas'

Yankees GM Brian Cashman said at the Winter Meetings that the organization is "open-minded" but doesn't have to do as much as last winter because of the talent on the roster. "We have really good players on this roster, and we are covered in most all areas that you need to be covered."

CJ Abrams receiving heavy interest in trade talks

The Nationals are receiving heavy interest in SS CJ Abrams in trade talks and are open to dealing him, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon report. Washington is also talking about deals centered on SP MacKenzie Gore as the new front office looks to shake up the organization.

Blue Jays interested in Ketel Marte

The Blue Jays are also among teams talking to the Diamondbacks about 2B Ketel Marte, Jon Heyman reports. The Red Sox and Mariners were reported Sunday as potential suitors for Marte, though there doesn't appear to be much traction in talks yet, Heyman reports.

Michael Soroka latches on with Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks have agreed to a one-year, $7.5 million deal with pitcher Michael Soroka. Soroka split the 2025 season with the Nationals and Cubs, posting a 4.87 ERA and 4.16 FIP over 16 starts with Washington before an injury limited him to 8.1 strong innings with Chicago. Soroka could function as either a starter or reliever in Arizona.

Red Sox, Mariners named suitors for Ketel Marte

Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte is in high demand this offseason, as a number of suitors have pursued the All-Star infielder. The Red Sox, Mariners, Pirates, Rays, Tigers and Jays are all listed as targets by New York Post's Jon Heyman.

Framber Valdez connected to Giants, Mets, Orioles

One of the top arms available on the market, Valdez has been travelling from coast to coast, as it's reported he's visited Baltimore, New York and San Francisco. The 32-year-old lefty finished his eighth season in Houston last year with a .366 ERA.

Pirates make pitch to Kyle Schwarber

The Pirates said they were looking to spend this offseason around Paul Skenes. How about Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber? Pittsburgh has reportedly put a four-year offer in for the free agent, while Red Sox, Cubs, Reds and others remain in the mix.

Mariners send prospect Harry Ford to D.C. for Jose Ferrer

The Mariners have acquire reliever Jose Ferrer from the Nationals, in exchange for catching prospect Harry Ford and pitching prospect Isaac Lyon. The 25-year-old Ferrer has unspectacular raw numbers as a major-leaguer, but a career 3.33 FIP, impressive walk rate and high velocity make him a potential high-leverage reliever for Seattle, while Ford is a consensus top-75 prospect in baseball and could be the Nationals' catcher of the future.

Twins planning to keep Joe Ryan, Byron Buxton

Despite July's firesale, the Minnesota Twins are not planning to trade Joe Ryan, Byron Buxton or Pablo Lopez this winter, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reports. The Twins discussed a Ryan trade with the Boston Red Sox at the deadline but decided against dealing their young ace.

Tigers 'engaged' on Tarik Skubal trade

The Detroit Tigers remain "engaged" with teams on a potential Tarik Skubal trade, according to ESPN's Buster Olney, but they are still unsure about dealing him and have an "enormous" asking price. Skubal, the back-to-back reigning AL Cy Young Award winner, is set to be a free agent after the 2026 season and is reportedly far apart in extension talks with the Tigers.

Məşqçilik fəaliyyətinə 2001-ci ildə köməkçi məşqçi kimi başlamış, 2011-ci ildən etibarən isə baş məşqçi postunu tutan Vernidub vətənində “Metallurq” (Zaporojye), “Zarya”, “Krivbass”, Belarusda “Şaxtyor” (Soliqorsk), Moldovada “Şerif” klublarında çalışıb.

Yuri Vernidub müxtəlif illərdə “Zarya” və “Krivbass” ilə Ukrayna çempionatının bürünc mükafatçısı, “Şerif”lə 2 dəfə Moldova çempionu olub. “Şerif”i UEFA Çempionlar Liqasının, “Zarya”nı Avropa Liqasının qrup mərhələsinə yüksəldən, “Krivbass”ı 24 ildən sonra avrokuboklara çıxaran təcrübəli mütəxəssis 2016 və 2018-ci illərdə Ukraynada, 2021-ci ildə isə Moldovada ilin məşqçisi seçilib.

Qeyd edək ki, məşqçilər korpusunda Vernidubun köməkçiləri – Valeri Mixaylenko, Dmitro Kara-Mustafa, Vitali Vernidub və İqor Fokin yer alırlar.

Vitali Vernidub məhz Yuri Vernidubun oğludur. Hansı ki, veteran futbolçu bir müddət ölkəmizdə “Qəbələ”nin formasını geyinib.

Denmark November 2025: Top 8 100% BEV, Renault 5 up to record #5

9 December 2025 at 07:40

The Renault 5 hits an all time Danish ranking record in November.

15,910 new cars hit Danish roads in November, a 6.5% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date tally is now up 6.8% to 166,163. Strikingly, 6 of the Top 7 carmakers easily beat the market with double-digit gains. Volkswagen (+13.3%) is on top with 13.7% share vs. 16% year-to-date, followed by Skoda (+28.6%) and Audi (+61.6%). Mercedes (-6.2%) disappoints at #4 but BMW (+20%), Renault (+33.6%) and Cupra (+70.9%) all impress below. Further down, MG (+781.8%), Citroen (+313.6%) and Mazda (+100%) stand out with surreal gains. Tesla is down -49.3%.

Over in the models charts, the Soda Elroq continues to dominate, signing a 7th win in the past 8 months. This month it distances the VW ID.4 (+100.5%) and Audi Q4 e-Tron (+54.3%). Leader a year ago, the Skoda Enyaq (-37.1%) falls to #4, a ranking it also holds year-to-date. The new Renault 5 is back up 8 spots on October to reach a record 5th place, also hit last September. The VW ID.3 (+31.1%), Mercedes EQB (+71.5%) and Tesla Model 3 (+28.3%) ensure the Top 8 is entirely composed of BEVs. The BMW X1 (+1100%) and VW ID.Buzz (+130.2%) complete the Top 10 in spectacular fashion. The Tesla Model Y is off -74.1% to #23.

Previous month: Denmark October 2025: Skoda Elroq and Enyaq on top, Mazda 6e in Top 10

One year ago: Denmark November 2024: Skoda Enyaq repeats at #1, Xpeng G6 up to #4

Yuri Vernidub “Neftçi”yə görə Bakıya gəldi

8 December 2025 at 21:00

Black Forest Labs valued at $3.25B after $300M Series B

Black Forest Labs has announced the closing of its $300 million Series B funding round, valuing the company at $3.25 billion post-money. Founded just last year, the Freiburg and San Francisco–based startup has quickly emerged as a leader in frontier models for pixels, building systems that go beyond traditional image generation. Its mission is to create what cameras cannot capture—tools that understand intent rather than simply executing prompts, enabling imagination to become reality for enterprises and independent creators alike.

Millions of users are already engaging with Black Forest Labs’ FLUX models, which have become the most popular open-source image models on Hugging Face. On the enterprise side, adoption is strong across platforms such as Fal.ai, Replicate, and TogetherAI, while industry giants including Adobe, Canva, Meta, and Microsoft are integrating the models to power new creative experiences. These achievements underscore the company’s rapid ascent in the generative AI ecosystem.

The Series B round was co-led by Salesforce Ventures and Anjney Midha (AMP), with participation from Temasek, Bain Capital Ventures, Air Street Capital, Visionaries Club, Canva, and Figma Ventures. Existing partners—including a16z, NVIDIA, Northzone, Creandum, Earlybird VC, BroadLight Capital, and General Catalyst—also deepened their commitments. This substantial investment will accelerate research and development, enabling Black Forest Labs to advance toward models that unify perception, generation, memory, and reasoning, laying the foundation for true visual intelligence.

The company’s compact but highly skilled team includes pioneers behind latent diffusion, Stable Diffusion, and FLUX, giving it a unique edge in pushing the boundaries of generative AI. With headquarters in Freiburg and San Francisco, Black Forest Labs is expanding its workforce to support global ambitions. The funding will be directed toward scaling product innovation, strengthening enterprise adoption, and building infrastructure capable of supporting the next generation of AI-driven creativity.

Looking ahead, Black Forest Labs aims to transform how humans interact with pixels by creating systems that anticipate intent and deliver imagination at scale. With strong investor backing and a growing ecosystem of partners, the company is positioning itself as a global leader in visual intelligence, driving the future of creativity from concept to reality.
