Lords of the Fallen 2 Delayed to Q1 2027 as Another Game Escapes GTA 6 and 2026’s Jam-Packed Schedule

23 June 2026 at 23:23

A warrior in ornate armor holding a sword stands in front of a fiery background with the title 'Lords of the Fallen' prominently displayed.

Lords of the Fallen 2 has officially been delayed out of 2026, developer CI Games has confirmed via a statement from the studio's chief executive officer Marek Tyminski posted to his personal X (formerly Twitter) account. It's the latest game to move out to 2027 rather than try and hold its 2026 release window where it would inevitably duke it out with GTA 6 and an already packed back-half of triple-A games in 2026. The statement, like others from the likes of Valor Mortis makers One More Level, does reference the team's desire to give Lords of the Fallen 2 […]

UW’s voice of Huskies football, basketball hired by Tampa Buccaneers

Tony Castricone, the man who spent nearly the last decade as the voice of Husky football and men’s basketball games, is leaving the University of Washington for a role with the NFL.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that Castricone will be taking a broadcasting position with their team.

β€œHusky Nation, it has been an incredible 9 yearsβ€”more than I could’ve ever dreamt or asked for,” Castricone shared in a video online:

Thank you, #HuskyNation. πŸ’œπŸ’› pic.twitter.com/dapyPCkfxM

β€” Tony Castricone (@Castricone) June 23, 2026

β€œHusky Nation, I will always be a Dawg until the day I die,” he said in his farewell video.

He joined UW in 2018, replacing long time voice of UW Football, Bob Rondeau, who held the position for 37 years.

Castricone won’t be the only Dawg on the Bucs staff. The team currently employs five one-time UW football players: quarterback Jake Browning, tight end Devin Culp, wide receiver Jalen McMillan, tight end Cade Otton and defensive tackle Vita Vea.

Castricone will replace Gene Deckershoff who is retiring. He held the position for 36 seasons. The team announced his retirement in December.

β€œThere will never be another Gene, and I’ll miss hearing his larger-than-life voice on gamedays,” Castricone said. β€œThe thought of following in his legendary footsteps is humbling and exhilarating. My family and I cannot wait to be Buccaneers, to be Floridians and to meet as many members of the Krewe as possible.”

Castricone will work alongside analyst and former Bucs tight end Dave Moore.

23 June 2026 at 19:12

Epic Games launched Unreal Engine 5.8 last week, bringing new features such as a Lumen Lite Mode that holds quite a bit of promise for games running on handheld gaming systems such as the Nintendo Switch 2. However, the biggest concern for both gamers and developers is general performance, which has been problematic since day one on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. According to Epic EVP of Development Marcus Wassmer, the final major update to the engine is the most stable release to date, and its features are an answer to developers asking for better optimization to deliver […]

CAPCOM Pushes Switch 2 To Its Hardware Limits with Devil May Cry 5, But Exposes Nintendo’s Biggest Docked Fumble

23 June 2026 at 13:45

CAPCOM is one of the third-party publishers that's been supporting the Nintendo Switch 2 the best, releasing excellent ports of many of its games powered by the proprietary RE Engine like Street Fighter 6, Resident Evil Requiem, and PRAGMATA. With Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition, the Japanese publisher truly worked its magic, pushing the system to its absolute hardware limits to deliver high framerates gameplay in handheld mode, which makes the platform's lack of docked Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support even more of a missed opportunity. Valve’s $1049 Steam Machine Either Hides a Fat Margin or Got Rinsed by Suppliers, Says AMD Leaker

23 June 2026 at 12:00

A Steam Machine priced at $1,428.00 features a semi-custom AMD Zen 4 CPU, AMD RDNA3 GPU, 16GB DDR5, a 2TB NVMe SSD, and includes extra faceplates and a Steam Controller.

The opening of pre-orders for the Steam Machine inevitably sparked heated discussions about Valve's decision to price the base SKU (512GB with no controller) at $1049, with the most expensive option (2TB with a Steam Controller) priced at $1428. That's a far, far cry from the $600 to 700 that people imagined when the console-like hardware was first announced in late November 2025. Some even hoped for $500, though Valve's choice not to subsidize the Steam Machine cut that option right away. Then came the massive price increases for both memory and storage components, which caused Valve's internal price targets […]

Galaxy Watch Ultra 2’s latest leak reveals design changes

23 June 2026 at 08:10
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra

Samsung’s next-generation smartwatches are once again in the spotlight ahead of their expected debut next month. Leaked renders and details related to the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9 have surfaced online, giving an early look at Samsung’s design direction and some of the upgrades that may be in store.

Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 may focus on refinement

πŸ‘€ Final wave pic.twitter.com/ih4uQIAiy5

β€” Galaxy Techie (@GalaxyTechie) June 22, 2026

As per a leak by tipster Galaxy Techie, Samsung appears to be retaining the overall design language of the original Galaxy Watch Ultra. The leaked sketches show a familiar squircle-shaped chassis instead of a traditional circular case, suggesting the company is sticking with the look introduced last year.

While the overall appearance remains largely unchanged, a few refinements are said to be on the way. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 could feature slimmer bezels around the display, potentially allowing for a more immersive viewing experience. The side button area is also expected to receive adjustments, while the signature orange Quick Button may adopt a subtler design with an orange outline instead of being fully coloured.

The renders currently circulating online appear to be software illustrations rather than actual photographs of the smartwatch. As a result, some design elements could differ from the final retail version that Samsung eventually unveils.

The same leak also sheds light on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 9. Unlike previous generations, the standard model is tipped to feature a boxier design. Samsung is reportedly skipping a Classic variant this year, leaving the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 as the main smartwatch offerings.

The Galaxy Watch 9 is expected to arrive in beige, black and silver colour options paired with new band designs. Both watches could ship with updated watch faces and new features as part of One UI 9 Watch, which is based on Wear OS 7.

Battery details have also emerged, with the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 rumoured to include an 800mAh battery, while the Galaxy Watch 9 may feature a 400mAh cell. Samsung is expected to unveil the new wearables alongside its next foldable smartphones at a Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 22 in London.

What are your thoughts on the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2’s leaked design? Do the slimmer bezels and refined buttons sound like meaningful upgrades to you?

HMD Luma2 surfaces with renders and key specs: 6000mAh battery, 6.75β€³ HD+ 120Hz display

21 June 2026 at 18:43

Only four months after the launch of the HMD Luma 4G, its successor has already surfaced online with renders and key specifications.

According to reliable tipster smashx_60, the HMD Luma2 comes with a big 6.75-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On the front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera. Around the back, you get a 50MP main sensor plus a secondary lens for everyday photos.

Power comes from the Unisoc T7280 processor (basically a rebranded T620). It’s an octa-core chip with two performance cores and six efficiency ones, paired with 4GB of RAM (which can be virtually expanded) and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. You can expand it further with a microSD card.

Battery life should be good enough thanks to a hefty 6000mAh cell with 18W wired charging. Other handy features include a 3.5mm headphone jack and Nokia’s OZO Audio technology for better sound. It’ll be available in three colors: Ice Blue, Light Sand, and Midnight Lake.

The Luma2 builds on HMD’s successful partnerships with M-Kopa. M-Kopa’s pay-as-you-go system has helped a lot of people in emerging markets get smartphones by bundling the phone with data, insurance, and other perks.

HMD has been smart about releasing region-specific and carrier-branded phones lately to reach more people. We’re still waiting on full details like exact pricing, full software support, and launch timing, but everything points to an affordable, reliable option coming soon.

For folks in M-Kopa’s main markets, the Luma2 could be a great way to get a smooth 120Hz display and strong battery life without spending a lot. It’ll be interesting to see how this customized version compares to the predecessor and other budget phones once it’s official.

Thursday’s opening round was disrupted by a more than two-hour fog delay and ultimately suspended because of darkness, forcing several players to return Friday morning to complete their first rounds. Former U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark emerged as the player to catch, reaching 6-under through 16 holes and building a four-shot advantage before play was halted. Clark took advantage of calmer late-afternoon conditions with a birdie-birdie-eagle stretch that vaulted him atop the leaderboard.

The chasing pack remains loaded with major champions and contenders. Rory McIlroy battled difficult conditions to post a 1-under 69, while Jon Rahm, Matt Fitzpatrick, Dustin Johnson, and Gary Woodland all remained within striking distance with holes left to complete. Meanwhile, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler opened with a 2-over 72 as he continues his bid to complete the career Grand Slam after winning the PGA Championship and The Open last year.

Friday figures to be a marathon day at Shinnecock. Players still on the course will finish Round 1 beginning in the morning before quickly turning around for their second rounds, creating the possibility for significant leaderboard movement. Shinnecock’s firm fairways, punishing fescue, and ever-changing coastal winds have already proven capable of producing big numbers, and with the cut line looming, every shot will carry added importance as the field tries to survive one of golf’s toughest major tests and earn a spot for the weekend.

Kazakhstan May 2026: Changan cracks podium, helped by new CS35 Max

16 June 2026 at 08:19

The new Changan CS35 Max is up to #3 in Kazakhstan in May.

New vehicle sales in Kazakhstan drop -5.1% year-on-year in May to 18,393 units, pushing the year-to-date tally further into negative territory at -1.8% to 84,002. This month, after a freak surge by Chevrolet in April, Hyundai (-27.6%) reclaims the top of the brands charts with 15.8% share and despite a sharp year-on-year fall. Chevrolet (-0.2%) is relegated to #2 with 12.7% share vs. 17.2% so far this year where it stays #1. Changan (+17.5%) advances further to a record this place, the carmaker’s first time on the Kazakh podium. In contrast Kia (-24.9%) drops to #4 ahead of four Chinese carmakers: Chery (+9.8%), Haval (+19.7%), JAC (+58.4%), all rising apart from Jetour (-7.8%).

Over in the models charts, the Chevrolet Cobalt (+19.7%) stays on top even though it drops from 25.5% share last month to 12.2%. The Hyundai Tucson (+0.6%) remains at #2 while the new Changan CS35 Max ascends to the podium for its third month in market. It distances its big brother the Changan CS55 Plus (-26.3%) while the Haval M6 (+2.2%) rounds out the Top 5. The Chery Tiggo 2 (-6%) is up four spots on April to #5 and the JAC S3 (+78.2%) is up 20 to #7. The Toyota Camry (+147.8%), Haval Jolion (+49.7%) and Jetour X70FL (+20.1%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10.

Malaysia May 2026: Proton Saga back in charge

15 June 2026 at 10:59

The Proton Saga is the best-selling vehicle in Malaysia in May.

It’s a difficult month for new car sales in Malaysia with May volumes off -10.7% year-on-year to 66,053. The year-to-date tally remains in positive, just, at +0.07% to 335,853. Perodua (-22%) skids down to 37.1% share vs. 38.9% year-to-date and 42.5% a year ago in May 2025. In contrast other local carmaker Proton (+26.6%) jumps to 24.4% share vs. 17.2% last year. The Top 7 brands are unchanged on April and YTD, with Toyota (-13.3%), Honda (-37.8%) and Omoda Jaecoo (+16.3%) rounding out the Top 5 ahead of Mitsubishi (+6.5%) and Mazda (+50.4%). Jetour (+1263.4%) celebrates one year in market with a record 8th place while newcomer iCaur is up to a best ever #13.

Model-wise, the Proton Saga (+37%) lodges its second win of the year after last January with 11.1% share. The Perodua Bezza (-22.7%) is in trouble at #2 but remains in the lead year-to-date. The Perodua Axia (-21.3%), Myvi (-28.9%) and Alza (-34.1%) complete the Top 5, all in a rut. Meanwhile the Proton S70 (+34.2%) aka Geely Emgrand is up to #6 ahead of the Proton e.MAS 7 (+141%) aka Geely EX5 up 9 spots on April to #7. The new Perodua Traz slides down three ranks to #12 with fellow newcomers the Toyota Yaris Cross (#15), Proton e.MAS 5 (#16) and Jetour T2 (#22) in tow.

Previous month: Malaysia April 2026: Proton up 47.9%, total volume up 20.9%

One year ago: Malaysia May 2025: Perodua Bezza at 12.4% share

Portugal May 2026: Tesla Model 3 #1, BYD Atto 2 inside Top 10

11 June 2026 at 14:47

The BYD Atto 2 breaks into the Portuguese Top 10 in May.

25,080 new cars hit Portuguese roads in May, a 6.5% improvement which is a great result given May 2025 was already up 18.6% on the year prior. The year-to-date tally is now up 9.8% to 110,731. This month Volkswagen (+10.8%) takes the lead of the brands charts with 7.3% share, only 16 sales above traditional leader Peugeot (-27%) in freefall. Mercedes (+3.6%) completes the podium. The best performer in the Top 10 is clearly Tesla (+348.8%) up 4-fold year-on-year and 19 spots on April to #6 with 5.8% share vs. 4% so far this year. BMW (+15%) and Toyota (+14.5%) are also strong in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, BYD (+68.3%) and MG (+39.1%) stand out.

Model-wise, the Tesla Model 3 (+1616.4%) surges ahead to land in pole position for the 5th time in Portuguese history after November 2023, May 2024, September 2024 and September 2025. The Citroen C3 (-2.9%) is back up six spots on last month to #2 while the Peugeot 2008 (-25.6%), in great difficulty, rounds out the podium but remains #1 year-to-date. The Dacia Duster (-9.8%) and Renault Captur (+6.8%) round out the Top 5 ahead of last month’s leader, the Peugeot 208 (+4%). Outstanding month for the Hyundai i20 (+32.9%) up to #8. The other performer of the month is the BYD Atto 2 (+585.7%) up 47 ranks to break into the Top 10 at #10.

Previous month: Portugal April 2026: Peugeot scores 1-2 with 208 and 2008 in the lead
