Google is finally fixing a small but annoying issue in Google Messages. For a long time, users could only copy the entire message even if they needed just a small part of it. This made things difficult when messages were long. Now, Google is working on a simple solution to make copying text easier.

In the latest Google Messages beta update, version v20260306, users can now copy only the part of a message they want. Users just need to long-press the message and drag their finger to select the text. This makes it easy to highlight and copy specific words, numbers, or links.

Earlier, if a message contained useful information like an OTP, link, or address, users had to copy the whole message first. Then they had to paste it into another app to select the needed part. With this new feature, users can select the exact text directly inside the chat.

The feature has been spotted on some devices, including the OnePlus 13R. However, it is not available to everyone yet because Google is rolling it out gradually. Since it is currently in the beta version, it may soon arrive for more users in the stable update.

Users can still copy the entire message if they want by tapping the “Copy” button. Google Messages is the default messaging app on many Android phones today. It will soon be available for all eligible smartphones including Galaxy phones.

Galaxy S26 Ultra screen controversy isn’t stopping anytime soon, but Samsung is still busy proudly advertising the Privacy Display technology. Recently, Samsung shared a set of infographics linked to the S26 Ultra’s coolest invention.

How the pixels actually work

Privacy Display manipulates light dispersion at the subpixel level. In Normal Mode, both narrow pixels and wide pixels fire at full capacity. You get maximum brightness, full viewing angles, the whole show.

Flip Privacy Display on, and the wide pixels drop to minimal output. Narrow pixels stay active; what you see head-on barely changes. What does the guy next to you see? Almost nothing.

It’s selective pixel behaviour, and it works in portrait or landscape.

Samsung’s recent Privacy Display infographics show this clearly.

Normal Mode disperses light across broad angles, whereas the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Privacy Mode funnels it forward. The difference is immediate and honestly kind of unsettling the first time you test it with someone standing beside you.

Traditional privacy films cut brightness by 30% or more. Colours look wrong and outdoor visibility craters. Samsung’s approach preserves the screen; the S26 Ultra’s display is still the S26 Ultra’s display when Privacy Mode is active.

The S26 Ultra lets you trigger Privacy Display manually or automate it based on context. You can set it to activate when you punch in a PIN or when you open specific apps like your bank, email, and WhatsApp.

Partial Screen Privacy mode shields just the notification bar if you want usability with some cover. Maximum Privacy Protection cranks the side-angle blocking to full strength, with all happening automatically after setup.

Samsung has quietly revealed a list of apps that can run over satellite on certain Galaxy phones, and the lineup’s more comprehensive than you’d expect.

We’re not just talking SOS messages here, but WhatsApp, X, Facebook Messenger, Google Maps, Samsung’s own Health app as well as Grok, as discovered by @theonecid on X.

Worth knowing before you assume your phone’s on that list: this feature only works if your carrier actually flipped the switch. Samsung apps satellite features are carrier-dependent, which is a very Samsung way to roll this out.

You find the compatible apps list buried in Settings > Connections > Satellite, assuming that menu option even shows up on your device. If it’s missing, your phone doesn’t support it, or your market hasn’t been blessed yet.

Hardware compatibility means nothing if T-Mobile or Verizon or whoever hasn’t inked the right deal yet.

Makes sense when you’re relying on satellites orbiting overhead instead of a cell tower three blocks away. Inclusion of Samsung Health feels borderline random unless the company is picturing hikers tracking their heart rate mid-rescue.

Apple partnered directly with Globalstar and keeps the entire experience locked down to emergency messaging. Samsung went the other direction, partnering with carriers who work with satellite providers like Skylo and SpaceX’s Starlink network.

Who gets what and where

In the US, T-Mobile users with select Galaxy devices after the S21 series got T911, text, and data services starting in 2025. Verizon only offers emergency SOS and texting on Galaxy S25 series and newer, while AT&T is still working on it.

Virgin Media O2 in the UK has satellite features live on certain Galaxy phones now. Spain’s MasOrange is kicking off trials in March 2026. Vodafone’s in discussion mode for future devices.

Japan’s actually the furthest along. KDDI has supported satellite text, data, and even earthquake and tsunami warnings on Galaxy S22 and later devices since 2025. Docomo and SoftBank are joining this year with expanded device support.

Apple is planning to jack up production of its first iPhone Fold and maybe even drop the price below what everyone expected, around $2000.

Korea’s Dealsite reports that Apple is boosting initial iPhone Fold production volumes by around 20 percent compared to original plans and considering slashing the price to around $2000.

That’s not great news for Samsung, which has spent six years basically owning this smartphone category and now has to figure out whether to keep prices steady or follow the rest of the industry into chipflation hell.

We’re talking about potential volumes climbing past 8 million units, maybe hitting 15 million. Originally pegged at $2,400, the foldable iPhone might actually land closer to $2,000, the same as the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Samsung is in a weird spot now

Samsung hasn’t locked in its pricing strategy yet. During Galaxy S26 Unpacked, Mobile Business head TM Roh mentioned long-term contracts with partners and hardware efficiency improvements to ease cost pressures.

One industry source said Samsung’s now sourcing specialized foldable components from China that used to come exclusively from Korea. If those parts get cheaper, memory shortages might not push foldable prices up after all.

If Apple actually nails the execution while undercutting or matching Samsung on price, the company that invented this category might have to defend it harder than expected.

Galaxy Wide Fold

Apple’s first foldable iPhone may bring a form factor similar to the OG Pixel Fold. Samsung is also experimenting with this form factor as Galaxy Wide Fold. This model could launch alongside the Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 this year.

The bigger issue is whether Samsung can fix this supposed flaw with a firmware update or if it is, in fact, a fundamental part of the new hardware and therefore can’t be changed.

If it’s baked into the hardware because of those dual-pixel types, no software patch will save it.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 smartphones have been revealed in new official renders. These renders give a clear look at the design, colors, and features of both phones. The images show the devices from different angles and confirm design details before launch.

Samsung remained the leader in the enterprise solid-state drive (eSSD) market in the fourth quarter of last year. Even though competition increased, Samsung continued to hold the largest share of the market.

According to TrendForce, Samsung had a 33.8% share of the eSSD market in the fourth quarter. This was a little lower than its 35.1% share in the previous quarter. However, the company’s sales still grew strongly. Samsung earned about $3.656 billion from eSSD sales during the quarter, which was nearly 50% higher than the previous quarter.

Meanwhile, SK hynix, including its subsidiary Solidigm, showed the fastest growth among major companies. Its revenue jumped 75.2% to $3.26 billion, raising its market share to 30.2% and narrowing the gap with Samsung to 3.6 percentage points.

Micron Technology remained in third place with $1.4 billion in revenue and a 13.0% market share, slightly lower than the previous quarter. Overall, the eSSD market grew quickly, with total revenue of the top five companies reaching $9.92 billion.

TrendForce said the growth was mainly driven by the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI), which requires faster and more powerful storage systems. Upgrades of servers by AI service companies and a shortage of hard disk drives (HDDs) also pushed more customers to switch to SSDs.

Samsung has trimmed the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s S Pen, and it appears narrower than the S25 Ultra released last year. In a side-by-side comparison, we’ve found that the size of this new stylus has changed, once again improving the grip and user experience.

This year, Galaxy S26 Ultra has adopted a larger corner radius, which also influenced the S Pen’s clicker button. It means you will have to put the S Pen in the right direction to align with the phone’s frame. However, that doesn’t disturb the user experience. New users may not notice anything significant, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra owners could see what’s just unfolded with the S26 Ultra.

In our comparison, we’ve put the S26 Ultra’s S-Pen beside its former sibling and noticed it has a lower width. You can see that the middle button width has been slightly reduced alongside the body.

Meanwhile, the height and thickness are identical in both styluses. So, the only thing that has been affected this time is the width. We found that the new version is more comfortable in terms of grip and in-hand experience.

The real reason behind this narrow design is unknown, but it appears to be another move to match the frame design. We can speculate that a slightly reduced width enabled the company to maintain its S Pen’s position inside the chassis. Rather than pushing it to the very corner without interfering with the corner radius. In other words, the narrow S Pen supports the aesthetics of the device.

You should also see that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s S Pen clicker neck area is also narrower than its predecessor.

Swapping Test

I also tried to swap the S Pens; as you may expect, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen was wider than the S26 Ultra’s supported housing width. On the other hand, the S26 Ultra’s S Pen slipped easily inside the S25 Ultra, but it couldn’t stay put. Instead, it would come out every time you tilt the device down. One thing to mention is that the S25 Ultra was detecting the S26 Ultra’s stylus once it reached the very end of the housing.

Conclusion

It’s not the first time we’re seeing such changes in the S Pen, as last year, we explored the S25 Ultra’s S Pen for new changes. However, the worst catastrophe for users arrived when the S Pen lost its Bluetooth capability. Though Samsung gave a reason not to offer this feature anymore, we had our share of grief on this matter. We’ll wait for an S Pen’s teardown to see the internal components.

In One UI 8.5, Samsung has added a new option – Keep routine until. This setting lets users choose how long a routine should stay active. The default option is Forever, which means the routine will keep running as usual.

There are also two new choices. The first one is Choose date. With this option, users can set a specific date for the routine to stop working automatically. This is helpful for routines that are only needed for a short time. For example, someone could create a routine for travel, holidays, or a special event and have it end after that time.

The second option is Run only once. This means the routine will work a single time and then turn itself off. This is useful if you want to plan a one-time action, such as changing phone settings for an early meeting or an important reminder. However, this feature does not work with routines that use the Start manually trigger.

It is exactly what Galaxy users have been asking for: a magnetic wireless power bank designed for modern Qi2 charging. Well, there is a familiar catch: you cannot use it properly on the Galaxy S26 without a magnetic case.

Magnet Wireless Battery Pack is a compact 5,000 mAh portable charger built around Qi2 standards. It supports wireless charging up to 15W and can also deliver up to 25W if you plug in through the USB-C port.

Hisense has announced its 2026 ULED MiniLED TV lineup with new models in the U6 and U7 Series. The company says the new range focuses on delivering MiniLED performance, large screen sizes, and modern features at more accessible prices. The U7 Series is available starting today, while the U6 Series will begin reaching retailers in the coming weeks.

The new lineup comes ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will take place in the United States. Hisense expects the event to drive interest in larger televisions for watching sports at home. The ULED category, which includes the U6 and U7 models, sits in the middle of Hisense’s TV portfolio in terms of performance and pricing. The company will later introduce an RGB MiniLED Series as its ultra-premium tier above the ULED range.

Motorola has quietly introduced a new smartphone in its Edge 70 lineup. After launching the Edge 70 Fusion earlier this month and the Edge 70 in October 2025, the company has now added the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion+ 5G. The phone is currently listed on Motorola’s website in Brazil, with no confirmation yet about launches in other regions.

For now, the device appears to be limited to Brazil. Motorola may expand availability to other markets later, possibly across South America. It is also worth noting that the Edge 70 Fusion series can have different hardware depending on the region. The version sold in India, for example, differs from the one sold in other countries.

The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion+ focuses heavily on cameras. It features three 50MP cameras in its class. The main camera uses the Sony LYTIA 710 sensor. The phone also includes a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, there is a 50MP selfie camera. In addition to these, Motorola has added a 10MP telephoto camera to support zoom photography.

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. It comes with 12GB of RAM and Motorola’s Intelligent RAM Boost feature to improve performance during multitasking. Storage is fixed at 256GB.

The device is said to feature a flat 6.36-inch display, putting it firmly in the compact flagship category alongside the upcoming OnePlus 15T. What makes the rumored Honor phone stand out, however, is its roughly 8,000mAh battery. If accurate, it could represent a significant jump in runtime over some already impressive numbers we saw last year.

For context, phones released in 2025 in this size range — such as the Vivo X300, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and OnePlus 13T — carry batteries between 6,000mAh and 6,300mAh. As the Galaxy S26 series hits shelves, Samsung has shifted its focus back to the One UI 8.5 beta program, which began in December 2025. For a long time, it remained exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series, but that changed today, as the brand has just released the first One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.

We knew it was coming. Earlier this week, One UI 8.5 beta builds for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 were spotted on Samsung’s servers, and shortly after, Samsung created One UI 8.5 beta program sections for the devices on its community forum.

For the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, the first One UI 8.5 beta comes with a firmware version ending in ZZC5 (via) and a hefty download size of 4.2GB. As of writing this post, the beta has been spotted in India and South Korea. It will also expand to a few more regions, including the US, the UK, Poland, and Germany.

Energizer is preparing to re-enter the smartphone spotlight with the Energizer P30K Apex, a rugged handset built around one standout feature: an enormous 30,000mAh battery. The device appears to target users who prioritize endurance over slim design.

If the specifications hold true, the P30K Apex could easily rank among the longest-lasting smartphones on the market. Energizer claims the phone can last up to a month on standby or light mixed use, thanks to its massive battery capacity. For perspective, that’s roughly equivalent to the combined capacity of around seven iPhone 17 Pro batteries. While real-world results will obviously vary depending on how heavily the device is used, it still represents a dramatic jump compared to the typical 4,000–7,000mAh batteries found in most smartphones today.

The phone supports 66W fast charging over USB-C. That should at least keep recharge times somewhat reasonable, even though filling a 30,000mAh cell will still require patience.

Beyond the battery, the hardware is fairly capable for a midrange rugged device. The P30K Apex reportedly runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This combination should handle everyday apps, multitasking, and moderate gaming fairly well.

On the front, the phone features a large 6.95-inch IPS display with a 2460 × 1080 resolution. Camera hardware also looks surprisingly ambitious. The rear setup includes a 200MP main sensor, alongside 50MP and 5MP secondary cameras, while selfies are handled by a 50MP front camera. As with many high-resolution sensors, the real-world results will depend heavily on processing, but the numbers certainly stand out on paper.

According to the latest details, the main camera is expected to use a 200-megapixel Sony LYTIA 901 sensor with optical image stabilization. The sensor reportedly measures 1/1.12 inches. The device is also expected to include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera using Samsung’s JN5 sensor.

On top of that, the Find X9 Ultra will have two periscope cameras, including a 200-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom powered by the OV52A sensor, and a 50-megapixel periscope with 10x optical zoom. There’s also mention of a 3.2-megapixel “Danxia” color restoration lens.

On the front, the device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel autofocus selfie camera.

The display, according to the leak, will likely be a 6.82-inch flat OLED panel with 2K resolution, likely with a 120Hz refresh rate.

What else can you expect?

Inside, the phone is rumored to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The software is expected to be ColorOS 16 running on top of Android 16.

iQOO has launched the Z11x 5G in India as the successor to the Z10x 5G that was introduced last year. The new Z series phone brings a new processor, a larger battery, and improved durability features while keeping the same overall mid-range positioning.

The iQOO Z11x 5G features a 6.76-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 2408 × 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen offers up to 1200 nits peak brightness. A 32MP front camera with an f/2.45 aperture is placed inside a punch-hole on the display and supports 4K video recording.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor built on a 4nm process. It replaces the Dimensity 7300 chip used in the previous model. The octa-core chipset runs at up to 2.5GHz and uses a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. According to the company, the processor can reach an AnTuTu score of around one million. The device is offered with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

On the rear, the phone has a dual camera setup. It includes a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX852 sensor and f/1.8 aperture, along with a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera also supports 4K video recording.

The device runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6. iQOO says the phone will receive two years of Android updates and four years of security updates.

The Z11x 5G packs a 7200mAh battery, which is larger than the 6500mAh battery in the previous model. It supports 44W fast charging. The phone includes stereo speakers, USB Type-C audio support, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. An infrared sensor is also included.

The phone measures 166.64mm × 78.43mm × 8.39mm and weighs 219g. It comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Connectivity options include 5G SA and NSA bands, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and USB Type-C 2.0.

The iQOO Z11x 5G comes in Titan Black and Prismatic Green colors. Sonos has announced two new speakers, the Sonos Play and the Sonos Era 100 SL, expanding its multi-room audio lineup. Both speakers are designed to work within the Sonos ecosystem and can be connected with other Sonos devices to create a multi-room listening setup.

The Sonos Play is positioned as a versatile speaker designed for both home and portable use. It connects over WiFi, allowing users to group speakers across rooms or pair two units for stereo sound. The speaker also includes a Charging Base intended to keep it docked as part of a home setup.

For portable listening, the Sonos Play includes a removable utility loop for carrying and offers up to 24 hours of battery life. It carries an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. The speaker also includes a built-in power bank that can be used to charge a smartphone.

Sonos has also introduced a new Bluetooth grouping feature. Users can connect the Sonos Play to a phone over Bluetooth and then press and hold the Play/Pause button to sync up to three additional Sonos Play or Sonos Move 2 speakers. This allows multiple speakers to play the same audio when away from a WiFi network. The speaker also supports Automatic Trueplay tuning, which adjusts the sound output based on the surrounding environment.

The Sonos Play supports multiple control options, including voice services, Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, and the Sonos app. It also features optimized power management and a replaceable battery.

The Sonos Era 100 SL is a simplified version of the Era 100 with a mic-free design. It is designed as an entry-level option within the Sonos system while still supporting room-filling sound. The speaker can operate as a standalone unit, be paired with another speaker for stereo sound, or be added to a multi-room system. It can also be used as part of a home theater setup.

When will Samsung roll out the One UI 8.5 update?

Samsung hasn’t revealed any details about the One UI 8.5 rollout. However, now that the latest software has already made its debut with the Galaxy S26 series, it shouldn’t be too long before other Galaxy devices start to receive the update.

Currently, the One UI 8.5 beta program is live for the Galaxy S25 series, with six beta builds already released, and a few more could be in the pipeline. Samsung is also working to open the beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, as spotted recently on the official community forum. Hopefully, Samsung will kick off the One UI 8.5 rollout soon and not repeat the same mistake it made with One UI 7.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra display scratches less than last year’s model, and based on how the S25 Ultra turned out, that’s a bigger deal than it sounds.

Famous tech YouTuber JerryRigEverything recently released the Galaxy S26 Ultra durability video. The new flagship phone survives scratch resistance, flame test, and bend test, with its aluminum frame also proven rock solid.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has got Corning Gorilla Armor 2 on the front, same branding as last year. Zack Nelson (JerryRigEverything) found during the durability test:

• Level 6 scratches are barely visible even under close inspection
• Deeper grooves only surfacing at level 7

It reads like spec sheet noise until you remember what happened with the S25 Ultra.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra didn’t start getting scratches until level 7 on the Mohs scale. Then the Galaxy S25 Ultra came along with its so-called upgraded Gorilla Armor 2, and the screen started getting scratched at level six.

The S25 Ultra started showing scratches at level 6, same as phones from three years ago. Corning probably dialed back the brittleness after realizing the original Armor was too hard and prone to shattering.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s behavior at level 6 is noticeably better than the S25 Ultra’s. You’d need strong light and intent to spot them. That suggests a recipe adjustment somewhere between the original Armor and Armor 2.

YouTuber Jerryrigeverything has put the newly released Galaxy S26 Ultra on a durability test, including scratching and bending the flagship. The result was that the phone came out without any damage.

Starting with the S24 Ultra, Samsung jumped to a titanium frame design, which has high durability and strength. The frame continues with the S25 Ultra. Titanium’s high durability comes from its material density, which may have prevented the new device from getting a slim outlook.

On the other hand, the new aluminum armor supports improved molding and better color schemes.

With that said, the aluminum armor frame is doing a great job of enduring the applied pressure without sustaining any damage. Despite these advantages and good strength, aluminum is far behind in overall durability compared to titanium. A recent drop test shows that the new phone has good drop resistance, but titanium still rules the chart.

Since consumers are not throwing their Galaxy S26 Ultra to verify its durability and frame strength, the test is a clear indicator that the new Samsung flagship is quite strong. Therefore, don’t hesitate to place your order for this new Galaxy device.

One UI 8.5 hasn’t even rolled out properly, and the Internet is already flooding with One UI 9 leaks as the latest just surfaced Samsung Browser app’s upcoming “multiple windows” feature.

What’s interesting this time around is what Samsung developers are quietly fueling into Samsung Browser. The company now calls it Samsung Browser, not Internet, which has been ditched with the Galaxy S26 series.

The Ask AI feature, which had been floating around earlier, now has a beta tag slapped on it in the latest build. Debug settings revealed something called Enable Cross-Device Resume, which doesn’t do anything, for now.

One UI 9 is expected to launch sometime around July or August this year. Samsung’s expected to launch its Android 17-based One UI 9 with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and an alleged Galaxy Wide Fold.

Development of One UI 9 has already begun, though, which means leaks like this are going to keep trickling out no matter how hard Samsung tries to contain them.

A leak has revealed that Oppo is working on two flagship devices: a tablet with model number "OPD2511" and a smartphone believed to be the Find X9s. The Find X9s has also cleared NBTC certification, hinting at a global launch.

JerryRigEverything’s Galaxy S26 Ultra durability test just landed, and while Samsung fixed one of last year’s most embarrassing problems, they’ve quietly introduced something nobody expected.

The durability test shows how Galaxy S26 Ultra passes the brutal durability test with a sizzling rating. Samsung has also improved the screen resistance despite using the same Gorilla Armor 2 as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

S Pen – Toothpick again?

The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s S Pen is thinner this year, more curved at the end for ergonomics, with internal copper coils improving digitizer precision and triangulation.

It’s now a purely passive stylus with a spring mechanism for docking. Nelson snaps it during testing; breaks like a toothpick – no reinforcing backbone.

Screen scratch test

Gorilla Armor 2 is back, apparently with some recipe tweaks, and it performs noticeably better than previous flagships. Level 6 scratches are barely visible even under close inspection, with deeper grooves only surface at level 7.

Additionally, the phone survives direct flame from a lighter for roughly 20 seconds with minimal pixel damage.

Bend test

In the bend test, the phone exhibits zero flex from either the front or back. Nelson describes it as a “rock solid beast.” The armor aluminum holds up structurally, but scratches more visibly than titanium did.

Samsung ditched titanium for armor aluminum this year. The frame is constructed as a single metal piece instead of glued sections, which simplifies repairs and recycling.

Camera Rings – This is what “they [Samsung] didn’t mention”

Remember how the S25 Ultra’s camera lenses practically fell off if you try to pull them off, even with minimal effort?

It caused a ton of criticism for Samsung, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra fixes that. Lenses are now secured properly, and while there’s still a subtle gap visible under the protective glass, they won’t pop out accidentally anymore.

The surprise part: the lenses can be intentionally removed and clicked back into place without breaking the glass itself. Samsung turned a design flaw into something repair shops can actually work with.

“Zack Nelson calls it a huge improvement, and he’s not wrong.”

There’s a 60W USB-C port, a SIM tray with IP68-sealing rubber, and still no microSD expandable storage. Samsung’s giving a huge thumbs up for refinements like fixing camera issues and adding thoughtful repairability, but some annoyances stack up.

What matters is whether Samsung is learning the right lessons.

Many Samsung users recently noticed that Download Mode, the feature used to fix phones or install firmware, seems to be missing in newer phones. Some thought Samsung removed it, but that’s not true. Download Mode is still there, but it’s just hidden and mainly meant for service centers and advanced users.

According to TechDroider, the big change is that you now need to turn on Maintenance Mode before you can see Download Mode. In older Samsung phones, you could enter Download Mode with a special button combination.

Now, you first enable Maintenance Mode, and then the option to go into Download Mode appears. Once it’s active, you can still use tools like Odin to flash firmware or repair your phone.

Samsung reportedly made this change to keep regular users safe. Flashing firmware the wrong way can break a phone or cause software problems. By hiding Download Mode, only people who know what they’re doing can access it, reducing mistakes.

For users familiar with Odin, nothing really changes, as you can still flash firmware and repair your device. The only difference is that you need to take the extra step of enabling Maintenance Mode first.

It means that Download Mode hasn’t disappeared. Samsung just made it a little harder to access protected devices. Samsung is getting closer to making new artificial intelligence (AI) chips for Tesla. The chips have now reached an important testing stage before they can be produced on a large scale.

Recently, Tesla Korea began hiring Post-Silicon Validation Engineers. This shows that the chips made by Samsung are now ready to be tested after manufacturing. Earlier, Tesla’s Korean team mainly helped with early chip design work for the company’s headquarters in the United States.

The post-silicon stage begins after a prototype chip is produced at the factory. Engineers first turn on the chip in a step called “bring-up.” Then they run tests to check if the chip works properly. This helps engineers find and fix any problems before the chips are produced on a large scale.

The chips being tested are believed to be early samples made using Samsung’s chip manufacturing process. These chips may be used in Tesla’s future technologies.

Samsung’s chip factories in Hwaseong and Pyeongtaek are important for this work. Also, Samsung and Tesla have already signed a $16.5 billion agreement for Samsung to produce Tesla’s future AI6 chips. This shows that the partnership between the two companies is continuing to grow.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra features several design improvements, including a crucial change to the S Pen, and you may have to learn how to insert the stylus back into the device.

S Pen has been a part of the Note series since the very beginning, which later succeeded the S-series’ Ultra model. This built-in accessory offers a smart experience for millions of users despite losing its Bluetooth capabilities.

However, the biggest change arrived with the S26 Ultra. You see, the Note series remained boxy til the very end, enabling a flat click-to-release button. In that case, the user can insert the Pen facing upwards or downwards without verifying its head position.

This saga continued with the S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, and S25 Ultra, since these phones come with a proper flat bottom frame to continue the flat clicker. That changed with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, increasing the corner radius and taking the round curves all the way to the S Pen.

So, Samsung has to amend its clicker’s design with an arc to align with the new frame design. Since you no longer have that flat clicker, you will have to match its position in the right direction.

Does the wrong position matter? On the positive note, it doesn’t, the S Pen will still insert in either direction, but that will look odd. That’s one of the noticeable drawbacks of the S26 Ultra’s design, which wasn’t the case with the S25 Ultra.

However, everything moves forward, and we don’t know what the next chapter of the S Pen will bring. Once you start using the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s S Pen, it will come into your habit, or you can choose to keep the S Pen inside the phone, just like a typical Ultra user.

Samsung is reportedly working on its own credit card, the Samsung Galaxy Card. The news comes from a recent trademark application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on February 12. This is the first time a name for Samsung’s credit card project has been made public.

The USPTO documents describe the Galaxy Card as an “electronically encoded credit card,” which likely means it will be digital and used through Samsung Wallet. This suggests that users could manage and use the card directly from their smartphones. It is not yet clear if Samsung will also offer a physical card.

The company has not officially announced the Galaxy Card yet. Trademark approvals usually take around 10 to 11 months, so it may be some time before the card is ready.

Samsung has been thinking about launching its own credit card for several years. Reports from November 2025 said that Samsung has been in talks with Barclays, a UK-based bank, to launch the card. Barclays would handle the banking side of things, while Samsung could focus on adding the card to its ecosystem of phones, tablets, and apps.

The Galaxy Card would compete with Apple’s Card, which offers perks like 3% cash back on Apple products such as iPhones and MacBooks. Apple provides both a physical card and a digital one in Apple Wallet. It is still unclear whether Samsung will do the same or keep the Galaxy Card digital only.

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8.5 Beta 7 update for the Galaxy S25 series in the US. The update has been available earlier for users in South Korea and is now reaching beta testers in the US. This new beta version mainly fixes bugs and improves the overall experience before the final stable release.

One UI 8.5 Beta 7 update for the Galaxy S25 series comes with a firmware version that ends with ZZC7 in the US. Like most beta updates, this release does not bring many new features. Instead, it fixes issues reported by users in previous beta versions.

Samsung has fixed several problems in this update. One important fix is related to calls. Earlier, some users noticed that their phone switched from a voice call to a video call automatically. This issue has now been fixed.

The update also fixes a problem with the Material You color theme. In previous versions, the theme colors did not work properly with Google apps inside Work profiles and Secure Folder. Gmail also had a bug in dark mode where the search bar was hard to see. Both problems have now been solved.

Samsung also fixed issues in the Gallery app. The app sometimes crashed when users tried to start a new project. Exporting photos or videos from a private album also failed for some users, but the problem has now been fixed.

One UI 8.5 Beta Program has just gone public for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. A little earlier, Samsung released the first Beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The latest clamshell foldable phone has also joined the party with the Fold 7.

Samsung is bringing an expansive One UI 8.5 Beta Program. For Galaxy Z Fold 7, it has already landed in India and South Korea. More countries are expected to be followed, such as Germany, the UK, Poland, and the US.

One UI 8.5 is a major visual upgrade over One UI 8. The quick panel has become heavily personalizable and notifications management turn smart. The interface has adopted dynamic colors and elegant blur for better UX.

How to get it now

Galaxy Z Flip 7 users can install the One UI 8.5 Beta update with the least effort. An enrollment form is all you need to join the Beta testing. To access it, open Samsung Members, scroll to the bottom and hit the Beta banner.

Agree to the terms and conditions and proceed with Enrollment. Once done, return to the Software update section and hit Download now. It might take a few minutes for the firmware to arrive as you tap the final key for the upgrade.

The first Beta comes with a build version ending with ZZC5, the same as the Fold 7. It carries the February 2026 security patch, not the March’s. Make sure stable internet connection as the package weighs more than 4 gigabytes.

Samsung has quietly expanded the One UI 8.5 Beta Program to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The company’s most expensive phone has just joined the Beta Program, and its clamshell counterpart will soon join the party with the Beta update.

So far, the One UI 8.5 Beta Program has been limited to the Galaxy S25 series. The entry of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 marks the first expansion. Notably, Samsung already launched official One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series.

Samsung is already rolling out the One UI 8.5 Beta 1 to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Users can identify the first Beta update through the PDA build version ending with ZZC5. Note that it would only arrive after successful enrollment.

One UI 8.5 is based on Android 16 and elevates the entire user experience. It tweaks various aspects of the interface and applies a beautiful blur across the UI. You also get new features and extended Galaxy AI capabilities.

How to download and install

To get the Beta update, you will need to join the Beta Program manually. To do so, open the Samsung Members app and scroll down to access the Beta banner.

The Program is currently live in India and South Korea, so you may not see it outside. As Samsung expands the testing program, it could be available in the US and Europe.

Tapping the Beta banner triggers the expanded joining page, which takes you through the terms and conditions of the Beta Program before allowing you to hit Enroll now.

Once done, head toward the Software update page from the Settings page. As soon as the OTA arrives, hit Download now and get it installed on your foldable device.

Samsung just dropped One UI 8.5 Beta 7 for the Galaxy S25 series, and on paper, it’s their least chaotic Beta in months. Starting in South Korea, the update has been expanded to Germany and India, with US following soon.

One UI 8.5 Beta 7 (PDA: ZZC7) brings eleven targeted fixes that suggest Samsung’s finally stopped breaking things in the rush to ship. Notably, there’s no latest security patch embedded in the Beta 7 release, which looks weird.

What’s new in One UI 8.5 Beta 7

Video calls were switching modes without permission. You’d start a voice call and the phone would just decide you meant video. That’s fixed.

Material You color palette wasn’t syncing to Google apps inside Work and Secure Folders. Gmail’s dark mode search field was invisible. The Gallery app was crashing when you tried starting new projects. Private album exports were failing outright.

DeX users were getting no warning when their phone overheated. Weather widget was clipping Fahrenheit temps when you added cities. Wi-Fi recovery during roaming with certain access points supporting Multiple BSSID was failing.

Samsung Messages was stuttering badly when you first opened unread inboxes. Notifications weren’t displaying under specific conditions. There’s a KT carrier fix in here for a service called WhoWho – limited to Korean models.

A significant portion mentions improvements for Android’s GMS, such as Material You. What’s striking is the absence of new features.

After three months of testing and six prior Betas, that’s where Samsung landed. The S26 series shipped with stable One UI 8.5, and the S25 lineup is still in Beta in March.

People who actually bought last year’s flagship are still testing software that’s already shipping on new phones. This way, Stable won’t hit the S25 series until at least late March, maybe April.

Firmware version S93xBXXU8CZC9 just surfaced on Samsung’s servers with the March 2026 security patch, and that’s usually the last step before things go live.

The Galaxy S26 series has already hit market shelves yesterday in major markets. The expansion will continue over the days ahead, as Samsung plans to bring this year’s flagship phones to up to 120 countries globally.

While this firmware seems ready for prime time, there’s always a chance they spot something ugly in testing and swap it out. Samsung has rolled out six Beta builds for the Galaxy S25 series before getting here.

Rollout will probably kick off in South Korea first, then expand to Europe, the US, and India over the following days or weeks. That’s been the pattern for years, and there’s no sign they’re changing it now.

Samsung is patching a long-standing S Pen Air Command bug through Good Lock. The company is rolling out an updated version of Pentastic plugin. It patches an issue linked to the stylus on Galaxy devices running One UI 8.

Good Lock plugin Pentastic is getting a March 2026 update, bumping the version to 2.3.19, which carries improvements for the S Pen Air Command feature.

The changelog mentions “fixes for Air Command” section inside Pentastic. Samsung also acknowledged that the bug has broken Air Command types on One UI 8 devices.

Pentastic is a plugin that extends the usability of Samsung’s stylus menu. It elevates the user interface and lets users unlock experimental features that aren’t enabled by default.

Even though the Galaxy S25 Ultra dropped Bluetooth-powered S Pen, Air Command is still available. Previous Ultra models and foldable phones, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 6, would also benefit from this Pentastic release.

Like others, this new release also improves the overall functionality. It would clear the app cache and wipe unnecessarily stored data. With storage freeing up, the plugin will work even better and seamlessly on Samsung phones.

Samsung has restarted development of its QNED display technology. It is a hybrid quantum dot nanorod LED project, which the company shelved back in 2022 after failing to solve a rather fundamental problem.

According to ETNews, late last year, Samsung Display formed a QNED research team buried inside its M Commercialization Team for small and medium displays.

These are the same people who worked on the tech the first time around before it all fell apart, and word is they’ve regrouped because somebody cracked something in the nanorod placement problem.

QNED theoretically outlasts QD-OLED because it ditches the organic blue emitter layer that degrades over time in favour of inorganic gallium nitride nanorods.

Samsung’s QNED may also be brighter, which matters in a market where brightness numbers have turned into a marketing arms race.

Pay attention, Samsung originally kicked off development in 2019, showed a TV prototype, then quietly walked away two or three years ago when uniform light emission stayed out of reach.

Samsung originally planned to commercialize QNED between 2024 and 2025. Restarting R&D now means any actual panels are years away, minimum, and the window for premium display dominance isn’t sitting still.

The company won’t confirm what breakthrough, if any, actually surfaced. One display expert said the engineers “found a technical clue” to the alignment mess, which is about as specific as saying they figured something out.

Samsung doesn’t get to just pick the winner by announcing research. QNED has to actually work this time.

Two IDC analysts revealed stats last week at MWC: foldable market share sits at 50% for Motorola in the US. This is despite the presence of Samsung, but it remains to be seen how it holds after the arrival of the Apple iPhone Fold.

The 50% market of Motorola is purely built on the back of those Razr flip phones that people actually want to buy in the US. The company officially announced its first Razr Fold (book-style foldable), coming stateside.

Samsung has got the bigger lineup, the deeper R&D pockets, and the brand recognition in foldables. Still, it’s getting torched by a company that basically said, “let’s make flip phones fun again” and picked some decent colors.

Here’s what’s working

Motorola priced the Razr lineup where normal people can actually afford it. They picked colors that don’t look like they came from a corporate boardroom. Fun sells when the tech actually works, and the recent Razr models work well enough.

Meanwhile, the real nightmare hasn’t even started yet. Apple’s foldable iPhone is no longer an “if” as mass production is planned for the second half of 2026.

The device will use a book-style folding mechanism similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold, and it reportedly has no visible crease, a problem Apple has pursued eliminating “regardless of cost.”

It’s rumored to cost around $2,200 to $2,400, which is insane money but won’t matter to the people who line up for launch day iPhones every September.

Xiaomi has started teasing its new laptop for launch in China, called the Xiaomi Book Pro 14. It’s the first Xiaomi-branded laptop in three years since the launch of the Xiaomi Book 14 in 2023.

According to teaser images shared by the company, the laptop will arrive in three colors: Soft Fog Blue, White, and Elegant Gray. As you can see, the laptop has a flush and slim metallic look.

The Book Pro 14 uses a unibody die-cast magnesium alloy body paired with a high-strength carbon fiber bottom shell. Xiaomi also says the keyboard support plate has been upgraded to a lighter titanium alloy structure. All of this contributes to a surprisingly low weight of just 1.08kg.

As for performance, Xiaomi confirmed that the laptop will feature the latest Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor. To keep that chip running efficiently, the company says it has added a large 10,000mm² vapor chamber cooling module along with a high-speed silent fan and a three-dimensional airflow system. Xiaomi claims this setup allows the laptop to sustain up to 50W of performance.

What else can you expect?

Fortunately, a previous report tipped a few more details about the device. The Xiaomi Book Pro 14 will come with a 14-inch display and weigh roughly around one kilogram. It will reportedly also be offered with the slightly more modest Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor alongside the Core Ultra X7 chip.

The Ultra 5 325 is built on Intel’s 18A process and includes an 8-core layout in a 4P + 4LPE configuration. It runs with 8 threads and can reach boost speeds of up to 4.5GHz.

Meanwhile, the Ultra X7 358H has a 16-core structure arranged in a 4 + 8 + 4 configuration. That chip can reach speeds of up to 4.8GHz, comes with 18MB of L3 cache, and integrates Intel’s Radiant B390 graphics.

Memory options could include a configuration with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, and another with 32GB of RAM paired with the same 1TB SSD.

Vivo has launched the Vivo Y51 Pro 5G in India as the successor to last year’s Y31 Pro. The phone brings several upgrades, including a larger display, a new MediaTek processor, improved durability, and a much bigger battery.

The device features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1570 × 720 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1250 nits peak brightness. The display also carries TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and is designed to reduce flicker during long usage sessions.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo 4nm processor with clock speeds of up to 2.5GHz. It replaces the Dimensity 7300 used in the previous model. The phone comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and offers 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6. The device supports dual nano-SIM cards and includes 5G SA and NSA band support.

For cameras, the phone includes a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera supports 4K video recording. On the front, the phone has an 8MP camera with an f/2.05 aperture for selfies and video calls.

Durability is a major highlight of the device. The phone comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and is MIL-STD-810H compliant. According to the company, it has undergone multi-angle drop tests from heights of up to 1.7 metres. It has also received the SGS 5-Star Premium Performance Mark for overall drop resistance.

The phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, USB Type-C 2.0, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C audio.

Philips has launched its new fully automatic coffee machine, the Baristina Bar Pro 500, in China. It is now available for pre-order on JD.com for 3796 yuan ($552). The machine replicates the taste of traditional 12-hour cold brew in just 90 seconds using advanced cold extraction technology and features a zero-preheat system, enabling users to brew coffee in about one minute.

The Bar Pro 500 comes with AuraPress low-temperature cold extraction technology, which combines high-pressure extraction, low-flow permeation, and low-temperature brewing. This system produces smooth and aromatic cold brew coffee that meets the SCAA Golden Cup standard. The machine also includes a 16 Bar pump pressure system, ensuring stable extraction for rich crema and balanced flavors.

Philips designed the machine with a compact form factor. Huawei has launched the Vision Smart Screen 6 series in China. These are now available for pre-order on JD.com. The series includes four screen sizes: 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch.

The 65-inch model is priced at 6,199 yuan ($902), while the 75-inch costs 7,399 yuan ($1,077). The 85-inch model is priced at 10,299 yuan ($1,500), and the 98-inch version costs 16,499 yuan ($2,402).

According to the latest information from leaker Jasper Ellens, several European retailer listings have revealed possible pricing for the upcoming DJI Avata 360 and its bundles. The base model is reportedly listed at €459, which would make it relatively affordable compared to other high-end 360-degree camera drones.

Several bundle options are also expected. One version, the Avata 360 Fly More Combo with the RC 2 controller, is said to cost €939. Another configuration, called the Motion Fly More Combo, includes the RC Motion 3 controller and Goggles N3, also priced at €939. A higher-end Premium Combo, which includes Goggles N3 and the RC 2 controller, is listed at around €1,159.

Accessories appear fairly reasonably priced as well. Leaked listings suggest the Intelligent Flight Battery may cost about €79, while replacement lens kits and propellers could be sold separately for around €21 and €9, respectively.

If these details are accurate, DJI may be aiming to compete directly with drones like the Insta360 Antigravity A1, particularly by keeping entry pricing relatively low while still offering features such as replaceable lenses and larger batteries.

A recent teasers from DJI also hints at some of the drone’s capabilities. The company described the Avata 360 as an “8K Flagship 360° Drone,” confirming support for 8K 360° video recording. The teaser also reveals a launch date of March 26, 2026, while current leaks suggest shipments in Europe could begin around April 9.

Meanwhile, a few hands-on images shared online have offered an early look at the drone’s design. The photos show a compact quadcopter with a protective propeller cage and a central camera system designed for dual-lens 360-degree capture.

OnePlus has finally shown its upcoming OnePlus 15T in public, giving fans an early look at the company’s next compact flagship. The phone appeared during a livestream, where OnePlus highlighted the design and some of the hardware features. From what we’ve seen so far, the company is clearly aiming to deliver strong flagship performance in a smaller, easier-to-handle phone.

The OnePlus 15T will be available in three colors: Pure Cocoa, Relaxing Matcha, and Healing White Chocolate. The white version seems to be the most distinctive. OnePlus is reportedly using a micro-arc oxidation process on both the metal frame and the rear panel to create a uniform white finish.

The other two colors use a more familiar AG frosted glass back, designed to keep fingerprints under control while maintaining a slightly matte texture. Overall, the design looks fairly minimal. The edges are rounded, and the camera module sits close to the back panel rather than sticking out dramatically.

OnePlus also spent some time talking about ergonomics. The phone measures around 71.82mm in width and weighs roughly 194 grams. The company claims the weight is evenly balanced, which should make the phone feel comfortable during longer use.

On the front, the OnePlus 15T features a 6.32-inch flat display with slim bezels. What’s more surprising is the battery. Despite the relatively compact size, the device is set to pack a 7,500mAh battery, which is unusually large for a phone in this category. Charging support includes 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, along with bypass charging for gaming.

Camera details are still somewhat limited, but OnePlus confirmed an upgraded LUMO periscope telephoto lens. The rest of the camera setup hasn’t been fully detailed yet. Other features mentioned include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, improved haptics, stereo speakers, and IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.

Vivo’s upcoming X300 Ultra is starting to appear more frequently in leaks and teasers, and the company is once again putting a strong focus on camera hardware. In the latest teaser, Vivo executive Han Bo Xiao shared early camera samples on Weibo.

The posts highlight the phone’s primary and telephoto camera, which uses the 200MP Sony LYT-901 and 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPO sensor, respectively. Unlike many smartphones that stick closer to a 23–24mm focal length for the main camera, this one uses a 35mm equivalent lens for the main camera. The camera is tuned in collaboration with Zeiss, something Vivo has relied on heavily in its flagship models.

The sensor is reportedly capable of capturing about 30 percent more light per pixel compared to previous generations. Some of the shared images show strong details and fairly natural colors. The size of the main sensor is also quite large at 1/1.12 inches, which should help with low-light photography.

Vivo is also said to support external teleconverter accessories, allowing focal lengths around 200mm or 400mm. In one of the examples shared online, zoom levels equivalent to roughly 1600mm have been demonstrated, though that clearly involved heavy digital cropping.

Beyond cameras, the phone has also surfaced on Geekbench under model number V2562. The listing points to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, along with 16GB of RAM and Android 16. The benchmark scores themselves look fairly average, but that’s not unusual for early tests on a camera-focused device.

Vivo hasn’t confirmed an exact launch date. However, a well-known Weibo tipster, Bald Panda, claims the X300 Ultra could arrive in China before the end of March 2026. Some speculation points to March 30 as a possible launch day.

Samsung announced on March 10, 2026, that its Galaxy S26 series has started strongly in the United States, with pre-orders showing solid growth compared with the previous generation.

According to the company, Galaxy S26 series pre-orders in the US are nearly 25% higher than those of the Galaxy S25 lineup. The figures include orders placed through Samsung.com, major US carriers, and national retailers.

The data also shows that buyers are strongly favoring the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which represents around 80% of total pre-orders in the US. This suggests the top-end model is driving much of the early demand for the lineup.

Carrier channels recorded particularly strong momentum. Pre-orders through major US carriers increased by more than 70% compared with the Galaxy S25 generation, indicating strong interest through operator sales channels.

Retail performance also improved significantly. At major retailers such as Best Buy, Galaxy S26 pre-orders were more than double those of the Galaxy S25 series.

In South Korea, the Galaxy S26 series reached 1.35 million pre-orders, setting a new record for the Galaxy S series. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 lineup reached 1.3 million pre-orders in 11 days, while the Galaxy S26 series surpassed that figure in just 7 days.
