Jude Bellingham seemed to blame England teammate Jordan Pickford for the Enzo Fernandez goal for Argentina in the World Cup semi-final.
Chelsea midfielder Fernandez fired in a superb long-range strike for Argentina to make it 1-1, but it seems Bellingham feels the shot was actually quite central.

Watch below as some fans seem to have been able to lip-read Bellingham’s reaction to the goal, with the Real Madrid ace complaining that it was in the middle of the goal…

Make your own minds up, but that perhaps seems a bit harsh on England goalkeeper Pickford, who mostly had a really good game and another strong tournament overall.
Bellingham has been superb for England at this World Cup, but it’s moments like this that perhaps rub some fans up the wrong way, as he can be a little petulant when things aren’t going for him.
Who’s to blame for England’s World Cup exit?
England will likely need to do some soul-searching after this World Cup semi-final loss, as they were a goal up with just a few minutes left, but perhaps handed momentum back to Argentina by being overly defensive and cautious.

Still, this was a good tournament for England and there’ll perhaps be some optimism about what they can build for the future, even if it feels painful now to have missed out on a place in the final.
England still haven’t won the World Cup since all the way back in 1966, and to many this felt like the best opportunity to finally do it again.
Argentina are a fantastic team, however, and are now looking to retain the trophy in what should be a mouth-watering encounter against Spain this Sunday.
Argentina have beaten England and made it to the World Cup final, with Lionel Messi and co. now preparing to take on Spain.
Anthony Gordon gave England the lead in Wednesday night’s semi-final, but Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez scored twice late on to send the Three Lions out of the World Cup.

For England, the 60 years of hurt goes on, and they’ll have to look back at what ended up being a pretty negative performance against Argentina.
Thomas Tuchel went far too defensive after England went ahead, so it’s not exactly the players’ fault, but here’s our look at how the players from both sides rated…
Argentina 2-1 England World Cup semi-final player ratings
Jordan Pickford – 6
Reece James – 7
Djed Spence – 7
Marc Guehi – 6
John Stones – 6
Declan Rice – 7.5
Elliot Anderson – 6
Jude Bellingham – 6.5
Morgan Rogers – 7
Anthony Gordon – 7.5
Harry Kane – 6
Not too many stand-out performers there from England, but Rogers and Gordon combined well for the goal, while Rice also played his part and generally worked hard in a difficult midfield battle. James and Spence were also in good form at both ends of the pitch, with the latter particularly impressive with one last-ditch challenge in the second half.
Argentina were not exactly spectacular, but Messi and Fernandez produced when it mattered and that will give them confidence against Spain in the final. A word too to Romero, who hasn’t always been at his best in a Tottenham shirt, but who looked like a real leader at the back tonight in an important game, keeping Kane quiet throughout.

It seems that surprise talks could be about to begin for Fenerbahce to sign Manchester United misfit Marcus Rashford this summer.
The England international, currently at the World Cup 2026 and preparing for tonight’s semi-final clash against Argentina, has been left in limbo after his loan spell at Barcelona.
Rashford shone during his spell at the Nou Camp last season, but it seems that Barca will not be taking up the option to sign him permanently.

Rashford was once a star player for Man Utd and showed he’s still got what it takes to perform at the highest level with some fine performances for Barcelona in La Liga and the Champions League.
So, in many ways, it seems slightly surprising that Rashford might now be about to move to the Turkish league, which would represent a significant step down in terms of the competitiveness of the division.
Still, there are also a lot of good players at clubs like Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, and Besiktas, so perhaps Rashford can flourish there and make an impact in major competitions like the Champions League.

It would also be interesting to see Rashford linking up with his former United teammate Greenwood again, with the pair often combining well together at Old Trafford.
MUFC will now have a decision to make, as some fans might even feel that Rashford’s fine form at Barcelona last season should mean he’s in contention for a first-team role again.
Perhaps that ship has now sailed and a fresh start would be the best for everyone, but much of that will now hinge on whether or not Rashford himself is open to joining Fenerbahce, or if he waits for other opportunities.
The VinFast Limo Green is the best-selling vehicle in Vietnam in June.
According to data by VAMA, Hyundai and VinFast, the Vietnamese new vehicle market is up 11.1% year-on-year in June to 52,805 units, leading to a H1 tally up 29.1% to 328,818 (locally made vehicles only). Local EV maker VinFast continues on its dominant show, with sales up a whopping 57.7% to 34% share. This is however below the 35.3% it holds year-to-date. Toyota (+4.5%) and Thaco-Kia (+4.4%) are shy below while Hyundai (-10.7%) underperforms again. Suzuki (+35.4%) and Honda (+31.5%) shine but Ford (-34.2%), Mazda (-18.1%) and Mitsubishi (-13.8%) fall apart.
Over in the models charts, VinFast “only” monopolises the Top 4 vs. Top 5 over the past four months. The new Limo Green lodges a 7th win in the past 8 months at 7.3% share, distancing the VF 3 (-3.2%), VF 5 (+9.9%) and VF 6 (+140%). The Toyota Innova Cross (+100.2%) doubles its sales year-on-year, is up 13 spots on May to become the best of the rest at #5. Meanwhile the VinFast VF 7 (+98.2%) soars to #7 and the new MPV 7 is down three ranks to #7. Notice also the Toyota Hilux (+257.1%) and Honda City (+185.9%) posting fantastic gains below.

The BYD Atto 3 is the 2nd best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in June. (Evo model pictured)
According to our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, new car sales in Cyprus skid -15.9% year-on-year in June to just 1,133 units. The H1 2026 volume is now down -11.9% to 7,244. Despite a ghastly YoY fall, Kia (-36%) remains the most popular carmaker in the country, albeit by just one sale above Toyota (+19%) in outstanding shape. Newcomer BYD repeats at an all-time high #3 but smashes its volume (111) and share (9.8%) records. Hyundai (-43.8%) falls apart and #4 and Skoda (+30.6%) rounds out the Top 5. BMW (+24.4%) also shines at #6.
The Kia Stonic (-8.2%) confirms it is the best-selling nameplate in Cyprus at 5.9% share vs. 5.4% so far this year. The new BYD Atto 3 surges from outside the May Top 20 directly into a new record 2nd place, eclipsing its previous best of #3 reached last January. In fact BYD also places the Seal U at #7 and the Dolphin Surf at #11. The Renault Captur (+650%) stuns at #5 and the Toyota Yaris Cross (+81%) also impresses. The Ford Puma (+188.9%) also posts a surreal gain in the remainder of the Top 10. The Top 14 best-selling models are all SUVs.
New light vehicle sales in the U.S. are up 7.9% year-on-year in June to 1.4 million units according to GlobalData. The Seasonally adjusted annualised rate of sales (SAAR) is up from 15.95 million a year ago in June 2025 to 16.6 million, also ahead of May’s 16.21 million. Q2 volumes edge up 0.6% to 4,238,996. According to JD Power and GlobalData average incentives are up 13% year-on-year in June to $3,217. Incentives on non-electric vehicles are up 19% to $2,970 while incentives on EVs are up just 3.1% to $9,824. Hybrids account for 16% of the US market in June, up from 13.7% in June 2025 with EV’s share at 7.4%.
Over the second quarter of the year, General Motors (-4.2%) remains the most successful OEM in the country ahead of Toyota Motor (+1.1%). However this is GM’s third consecutive quarterly decline. Ford Motor (-10.4%) takes a big hit, but the next six manufacturers all beat the market. Notably, Nissan Group (+9.2%) and Stellantis (+5.7%) recover, with the VW Group also up significantly at +9.8%. American Honda (+8.4%) impresses while Hyundai-Kia (+3.5%) is also up.
Toyota (+2.6%) is once again the most popular marque and extends its gap over #2 Ford (-10.1%) to above 65,000 units over Q2. Chevrolet (-3.8%) is also in difficulty in third place. Nissan shoots up 10.2% in Q1 and announced it has posted 16 consecutive months of year-over year retail U.S. sales increases. Honda (+9.4%) also delivers a very solid gain, with Subaru (+6.8%), Hyundai (+4%) and Kia (+2.8%) in shape. Further down, Chrysler (+80%), Volkswagen (+24.9%) and BMW (+13%) stand out.
Model-wise, the Ford F-Series (-11%) hits a wall, as a fire at a key supplier handicapped production. The Chevrolet Silverado (-7.3%) also struggles at #2 but the Honda CR-V (+16%) confirms it is the new SUV champion in the US. Indeed the Toyota RAV4 (-24.2%) continues on its difficult generation changeover and is down to #7 for the quarter. The Ram Pickup (+14.3%) is in great shape as is the Toyota Camry (+18.5%) while the GMC Sierra (+5%) is softer. The Tesla Model Y (+2.7%) falls to #8 ahead of the Honda Civic (+8.1%) and Toyota Tacoma (+5%). Excellent performances below by the Nissan Rogue (+38.6%), Ford Explorer (+13.8%) and Honda Accord (+41.2%).
People love lists. Even if they don’t, the safest bet in the world is that the proliferation of list-based content will continue unabated. They drive conversation because, at their core, they are profoundly and proudly imperfect. There is no “correct” way to rank the top 150 high school football players in America or the concession offerings at all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums. If there were, the perfect list would drive zero conversation as consumers would nod silently through every paragraph and congratulate the list-maker on a job well done while clicking off the page. Getting it as right as possible is a goal but it’s not the ultimate goal.
That’s to drive conversation.
Admit it. When you see a list you instinctively take up armor to see what they got wrong and where you disagree with the ordering. This morning I experienced that buzz when I hopped over to see what ESPN had cooked up for its ordering of the top NFL quarterbacks for 2026. It’s the latest installment of a series where they asked league executives, coaches and scouts to help in the work of slotting top players at 11 different positions. And since this is the most important one in all of sports, there are obviously going to be different points of view and strong emotions.
Top NFL quarterbacks
To no one’s surprise, Josh Allen is No. 1, a spot over Patrick Mahomes. Matthew Stafford sits at No. 3, followed by Joe Burrow. That’s where things get a bit strange. Lamar Jackson checks in as the last top-five QB with Dak Prescott at No. 6. Justin Herbert is at No. 7 and Drake Maye, on the heels of a Super Bowl appearance, has climbed to No. 8. Jared Goff edges out Caleb Williams as the NFC North signal-callers make up the rest of the list. Super Bowl champion Sam Darnold is among the honorable mentions that also includes Jayden Daniels, Jordan Love, Brock Purdy, Baker Mayfield, Trevor Lawrence and Jalen Hurts.
Let this be a reminder just how hard it is to be someone one who is universally perceived to be in the top half of NFL starting quarterbacks. Hurts barely makes it and Mayfield isn’t entirely comfortable in his spot either.
There’s room for nuance when it comes to sports debate. Ask 100 people outside of Seattle to name the top-10 quarterbacks in the league and you might not hear Sam Darnold’s name more than a few teams. And yet he was awesome as his team captured the ultimate prize. What makes the omission—even if it’s understandable—more interesting is that almost half of the top 10 QBs featured here did not make the playoffs last season.
What makes a good QB?
What does that mean? I honestly don’t know. Good things?
I’m old enough to remember when Trent Dilfer and Brad won Super Bowls and people would stubbornly claim they should be seen as the NFL’s best QBs because winning is all that matters. It was just as stupid then as it sounds today. Wins and losses are not quarterback stats anymore and that’s progress. One wonders if we’ll get to a point where the stats and eye test actually become too weighted and victories will not be as valued as much as they should. It feels like we’re close, though it’s actually hard to quibble too much with what should be a ground rife for debate.
All in all, pretty good list considering the depth of top-end talent at the position—something that cannot always be said.
The Slovenian new car market shoots up 29.8% year-on-year in June to 6,684 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 17.3% to 35,343. Volkswagen (+17.9%) stays atop the brands charts at 12.9% share ahead of Renault (+0.5%) at 12%. Tesla (+323.6%) surges 21 spots on May to land at #3 overall with an exceptional 9.4% share, both records beating the previous best of #4 and 6.2% reached last March. The American brand now ranks #9 year-to-date vs. #16 over the Full Year 2025. Skoda (+0.7%) falls to #4 but remains #2 year-to-date. Opel (+100%), Ford (+39.2%) and Dacia (+38.6%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Leapmotor is the best-selling recent brand launch at #17 but is down five ranks on last month.
Model-wise, the Tesla Model 3 (+954.3%) is up 10-fold year-on-year to snap its second ever Slovenian win after last March and smashes its share record at 7.3%. The Renault Clio (-27.3%) is in complete freefall but manages to climb back up to #2 and to the #1 YTD place. The Renault Captur (-17.3%) and Skoda Octavia (-20.6%) also suffer greatly. In contrast the Ford Kuga (+182.4%), Peugeot 2008 (+92.2%) and VW Tiguan (+36.9%) all have a great month below. Produced locally, the new Renault Twingo is up 30 spots on last month to break into the Slovenian Top 10 at #8. This is believed to be the first Top 10 ranking for the new retro-styled vehicles, as it ranks #15 at home in France this month. The Telsa Model Y (+39.2%) and VW T-Roc (+45.2%) complete the Top 10 in solid fashion.
Manchester United could be preparing to reopen a chapter that appeared finished only a few months ago.
After spending more than a year away from Old Trafford on loan, one of the club’s most recognisable academy graduates is expected to return for pre-season and discuss whether he can rebuild his career under Michael Carrick.

The situation has changed considerably since his breakdown with former head coach Ruben Amorim.
Carrick’s arrival has created a possible route back into the first team, although United remain open to a permanent transfer if the right proposal arrives.
The coming talks will therefore be important for both the player’s future and the club’s attacking plans.
Carrick could open door to Rashford’s return at Man United
According to Fabrizio Romano, Marcus Rashford will hold direct discussions with Carrick after England’s World Cup campaign ends.
The 28-year-old has already informed United that he is available for pre-season and will initially rejoin the squad before both sides consider any offers that may arrive.

The Guardian reports that there are no personal problems between Rashford and Carrick.
It adds that United expect to reintegrate the forward, although they would still consider a permanent exit and have no interest in arranging another loan.
Rashford remains under contract until 2028 after spells with Aston Villa and Barcelona.
United contacted Rashford’s representatives and made it clear he would be welcomed into Carrick’s pre-season group. Barcelona declined to activate their purchase option, leaving his long-term future unresolved.
Man United should give Rashford a genuine opportunity to impress before making a final decision.
Carrick offers a fresh tactical environment, and a motivated Rashford could still provide pace, goals and valuable Premier League experience.
Komanda həmin turnirlərin hər ikisində 1/4 finala qədər irəliləmişdi.
2017-ci ilin yayından “Everton”un formasını geyinən qolkiper İngiltərə millisinin heyətində iki dəfə Avropa çempionatının gümüş medalını da qazanıb (2020, 2024).

Klublar arasında gerçəkləşən transferin maliyyə detalları açıqlanmayıb.
Qeyd edək ki, Georgi Çakvetadze karyerası ərzində Gürcüstanın “Dinamo” (Tiflis), Belçikanın “Gent”, Almaniyanın “Hamburq” və İngiltərənin “Uotford” klublarında çıxış edib. O, həmçinin uzun illərdir Gürcüstan millisinin əsas oyunçularından biridir. Yarımmüdafiəçi indiyə qədər yığmanın heyətində 39 oyuna çıxıb, 10 qol vurub, 10 məhsuldar ötürmə verib.
Futbol üzrə İngiltərə milli komandasının keçmiş mərkəz hücumçusu Kallum Uilson bundan sonra “Brentofrd”un uğurları üçün çalışacaq.

Uilson daha öncə “Nyukasl”, “Bornmut”, “Koventri Siti”, “Ketterinq Tuan” və “Tamuort” klublarının da formasını geyinib.

The Territory (+167.1%) helps Ford up 28.4% this month.
It’s another poor month for new light vehicle sales in Argentina, with June volumes down -13.7% year-on-year to 43,199 units. The year-to-date tally is off -10.5% to 277,049. Toyota (-17.8%) leads the brands ranking for the 4th month in a row and finally ascends to the first spot year-to-date, displacing Volkswagen (-31.6%) in complete freefall this month. Fiat (-28.2%) also endures a harsh fall but Ford (+28.4%) defies the negative market and stays at #4 with 10.1% share. Chevrolet (-13%) evolves like th market and rounds out the Top 5 above sinking Peugeot (-37.3%) and Renault (-49.3%). Newcomer BYD equals its ranking record at #8 and is at an all-time high 1,740 sales. Chery (+1316.3%), BAIC (+302.9%) and Haval (+180.6%) stand out in the remainder of the Top 20.
Over in the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (+34.1%) goes against the depleted market and achieves its highest share so far this year at 6.9%. The Fiat Cronos (-34.6%) is back up to #2 ahead of the Ford Ranger (-16%) while the Ford Territory (+167.1%) continues to perform very well at #4. The VW Amarok (-34.7%), in poor form, rounds out the Top 5 which is better than the 7th spot it holds year-to-date. The VW Tera (#6) is the best-selling recent launch in the country above the Toyota Yaris Cross (#9), BYD Atto 2 (#24), BYD Dolphin Mini (#26) and BYD Song Pro (#27).
İngiltərə millisinin və “Brentford”un yarımmüdafiəçisi Cordan Henderson DÇ-2026-nın 1/8 finalından sonra aldığı zədə səbəbindən əməliyyat olunub.
Arena.az xəbər verir ki, təcrübəli futbolçu bu barədə sosial şəbəkə hesabında məlumat verib.
Hadisə İngiltərənin Meksika üzərində 3:2 hesablı qələbəsindən sonra yaşanıb. Henderson komandasının 1/4 finala yüksəlməsini qeyd edərkən reklam lövhələrinin üzərindən tullanmağa çalışıb, lakin uğursuz eniş edərək biləyini sındırıb.
Futbolçu meydanı xərəkdə və oksigen maskası ilə tərk edib, daha sonra isə təcili xəstəxanaya çatdırılıb. Müayinələrdən sonra onun bilək nahiyəsindən əməliyyat olunmasına qərar verilib.
Henderson bu zədə səbəbindən dünya çempionatının qalan hissəsini buraxacaq.
İngiltərə millisinin heyətində isə 90 oyuna çıxmış Cordan Henderson 3 qol vurub və 11 məhsuldar ötürmə müəllifi olub.
