Once toggled on, Galaxy users can send files directly to nearby Apple devices. There is one important condition on the receiving end. iPhone users must have their AirDrop visibility set to “Everyone.” Without that, the sharing will not happen.

Samsung just shipped a new software update for the Galaxy S24 series, which brings the March 2026 security patch and opens the door for One UI 8.5 Beta.

Over the past couple of months, Samsung has lost its update deployment streak. March is about to end and Galaxy devices are now starting to see the existing month’s security patch.

March 2026 Security Patch

Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra are getting the March 2026 security update. The initial rollout has started in South Korea, with a Global expansion likely to follow soon.

March patch includes fixes for 60 Android vulnerabilities and 7 One UI SVE items. Some stock apps may also be updated as you install the latest CZC1 OTA from Samsung.

The OTA also cleans up the internal storage occupied by temporary, unnecessary files. As the system cleans up, the overall performance improves as well.

One UI 8.5 Beta

Samsung is internally testing One UI 8.5 Beta for the Galaxy S24 series. The Beta Program may be announced this week; however, the company hasn’t made it official yet.

Recently, Samsung rolled out the March update for the Galaxy S24 FE. The company is also reportedly preparing One UI 8.5 Beta, for the first time, for its Fan Edition smartphones.

Whether you are interested in the March update or not, it’s a crucial release. Without the March patch, you wouldn’t be able to get the One UI 8.5 Beta even after signing up for the testing activity.

That said, installing the March OTA as quickly as it arrives is recommended. Open Settings > Software update > Download and install to update your Galaxy’s software.

The iPhone Fold launch timing couldn’t be worse for Samsung Galaxy S27 series if Apple actually sticks the landing, but there’s fresh chatter that the iPhone maker might push things back again.

Apple could delay the foldable iPhone from its September slot to December instead. Three months is nothing in the grand scheme. Apple fans have been watching Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, and everyone else flex foldable hardware for half a decade.

Another quarter won’t kill the hype. If anything, it lets the iPhone 18 Pro models breathe for a bit before the foldable steals the show. But the real reason this makes sense? Apple cannot afford to botch this one.

This isn’t just another iPhone with a slightly better camera, but an entirely new product category. The iPhone Fold conversation hinges on whether Apple’s first attempt actually works and Apple’s recent track record isn’t exactly inspiring confidence.

Reports claim Apple still hasn’t killed the display crease entirely, which was supposedly a big internal goal. Apple needs this thing to be flawless, or at least close enough that people forgive the crease.

Right now, Samsung’s sitting pretty with the Galaxy S26 lineup doing solid numbers and the Z Fold 7 still the default choice for anyone buying a foldable.

If Apple launches in September and stumbles, Samsung keeps that crown. But if Apple waits until December, tightens every screw, smooths every software edge, and launches something that actually works better.

In case the iPhone Fold comes out in December, foldable buyers would hold on to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Wide Fold. Buyers of the Galaxy S27 Ultra may also compare where their money is going in 2027 and find a better deal.

After a series of teasers, Huawei has officially introduced its new Enjoy 90 series smartphones. The line includes standard, Plus, and Pro Max variants, and as you might expect, the latter is the most feature-heavy option in the lineup.

Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max Specifications

The Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max runs on Huawei’s Kirin 8000 chipset and comes pre-installed with HarmonyOS 6. Huawei says the combination of its in-house chip and software, along with what it calls the Ark Engine, allows tighter integration between hardware, software, and cloud services.

According to the company, this setup results in a 38% improvement in overall performance. Huawei is also claiming smoother everyday usage, with a 64 percent boost in phone operation smoothness and a 35 percent improvement in page loading.

In gaming, Huawei says the device can sustain up to five hours of gameplay at 120 frames per second in Honor of Kings. 

The Enjoy 90 Pro Max packs an 8,500mAh battery and supports a combination of power management features, including what Huawei calls a “super energy pump” and system-wide power-saving optimizations.

On the front, the phone features a 6.84-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness and uses 2160Hz PWM dimming. 

Its camera hardware includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and support for dual-frequency GPS and tri-frequency Beidou for more precise location mapping. The device also carries IP65 certification and has passed multiple drop-resistance tests, including CQC and SGS five-star ratings.

Pricing and Availability

The Huawei Enjoy 90 Pro Max starts at 1,699 yuan ($250) for the 128GB model. The 256GB model retails at 1999 yuan ($290) while the highest 512GB flavor is priced 2399 yuan ($350). Availability starts from 2nd April.

The teaser released above shows the Realme 16 sporting a horizontal camera bar similar to Google Pixel phones and the iPhone Air. What sets it apart is the inclusion of a selfie mirror, which allows users to capture high-quality selfie shots using the rear cameras by relying on the mirror.

Realme hasn’t confirmed any details about the Realme 16’s specifications and features, but everything is already known through its Vietnam launch. This will be a new addition to the lineup, which already includes the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ handsets.

Realme 16 specifications

Starting from the front, the Realme 16 has a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen that offers an FHD+ resolution, up to 1,400 nits of brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on Android 16 with a layer of Realme UI 7 on top and features an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor for security.

Under the hood, the Realme 16 is powered by the Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset. In Vietnam, the device is available with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There’s also a hybrid SIM slot, which can be used to add a microSD card for additional storage.

The Realme 16 packs a massive 7,000mAh battery with 60W charging and reverse charging support. On the front, it has a 50-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 main camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens.

The Realme 16 also includes features such as dual speakers, a 6050mm² heat dissipation unit, and IP66/68/69/69K-rated dust and water resistance. It is expected to arrive with a sub-Rs 20,000 price tag in India.

As can be seen above, the OnePlus Nord 6 Naruto Limited Edition moniker has appeared on the Repair & Services page on OnePlus India’s website, suggesting that this special edition will be announced alongside the regular version of the Nord 6.

This will be the second time a Nord series device will have a special edition version. To recall, the brand unveiled the OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition in 2021. The Nord 6 Naruto Edition may come in a special package with theme-inspired elements.

It’s not completely invisible, but it’s subtle enough that many users barely notice it while scrolling or watching videos. Even Apple is rumored to use a similar display technology in its first foldable, which could launch this September.

However, the Cupertino giant appears to be even more serious about making this display the best it can be. 

Apple iPhone Fold will use multiple layers of protective layers between the display

According to supply chain reports shared by tipster Digital Chat Station, Apple’s foldable display could use a dual-layer glass structure built from UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) and UFG materials.

In simple terms, this means the screen may consist of multiple glass layers rather than a single thin sheet. The display panel itself would sit between these layers instead of being placed directly against the hinge mechanism.

This design could help solve one of the biggest problems with foldables: durability. When a foldable phone bends thousands of times during its lifetime, the pressure around the hinge can gradually create a visible crease in the middle of the screen. By separating the display layer from the hinge area and using multiple glass layers, Apple may be trying to reduce stress on the panel.

The rumored display may also include a form of self-healing glass. The idea is that the display could gradually smooth itself over time, helping it maintain a cleaner look after repeated folding.

Oppo did something similar with the Find N6, which it says uses Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass, where the crease slowly smooths itself out over time.

None of this is confirmed yet, and Apple rarely comments on products before they launch. But we know for certain that a foldable iPhone is coming.

Vivo is preparing for a major product launch event in China on March 30, where it will unveil the new Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300s smartphones. Alongside these devices, the company has also confirmed the arrival of the Vivo Pad 6 Pro.

Vivo is positioning the Pad 6 Pro as a productivity-focused device. The tablet was previously showcased at Mobile World Congress, where it was seen paired with a keyboard accessory and stylus.

It also features a large 13.2-inch display with a 4K True Color screen that supports Dolby Vision. In terms of performance, the Vivo Pad 6 Pro will be powered by the current best Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. 

To further support its productivity angle, Vivo is bundling PC-grade WPS Office and CapCut Professional Edition with the device. These additions make it clear that the tablet is not just for media consumption but also for tasks like document editing, video editing, and general work use.

Vivo Pad 6 Pro Specifications (Expected)

As for other specifications, reports suggest that the tablet could feature a high refresh rate display, possibly up to 144Hz, for smoother visuals. Camera-wise, it is expected to include a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Typical for tablets, which are usually meant for general video calls and document scanning and not much more. 

Moreover, the Pad 6 Pro is said to carry roughly a 13,000mAh cell, up from 12,050mAh in the previous model. It will support either 80W or 90W of charging.

Vivo is likely to reveal more about the device in the lead-up to launch. As for global availability, there’s no word yet. But since Vivo showed off the device in MWC, we can expect a global announcement soon.

Xiaomi has announced a new pet feeding gadget called the Mijia Smart Pet Feeder 2 Visual Edition. It’s a follow-up to its 2023 model that, until now, handled feeding but didn’t let you actually see what your pet was doing.

The new version is launching on Xiaomi’s Youpin platform, with crowdfunding set to begin at 10:00 AM on March 30. It carries a suggested retail price of 549 yuan, though early backers will be able to get it for 449 yuan.

The feeder supports 24-hour real-time monitoring and offers both local and cloud storage options. Users can insert a microSD card from 16GB to 128GB, or opt for paid cloud storage if they prefer remote access and backups.

Outside of the camera, the core hardware remains similar to the previous model. The feeder includes a 5-liter storage container that can hold up to 2.5kg of dry pet food, which Xiaomi says is enough to feed an adult cat for around 30 days. 

It supports kibble sizes of up to 18mm and includes an automatic error correction mechanism that reverses the system if food gets stuck.

There are also a few practical upgrades focused on durability and food safety. Xiaomi is using a triple sealing and barrier design to help keep food dry and protected from moisture. Structurally, the feeder is built to maintain consistent operation, and it includes an emergency power supply system designed to keep feeding schedules intact during outages.

$500 is a sweet spot for a tablet, because you can get a good device in both the Android and Apple worlds. 

First off is the Google Pixel Tablet, which works as both a tablet and a smart home device. With its dock, it can act like a smart display when not in use. This makes it a good option for people who want a hybrid device for home use.

The compromise, you could say, is that Apple still doesn’t offer an OLED display in its $800 device. You’re still looking at a very high-quality LCD. However, unless you are a professional colorist or you spend your life watching movies in pitch-black rooms, you probably won’t care.

$1000: Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

At $1000, you’re entering true flagship territory. And the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is one of the most powerful tablets available right now.

This device is all about scale and performance. It features a massive 14.6-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and 1600 nits of peak brightness. Audio is handled by a quad-speaker setup, making it one of the best tablets for watching content.

Powering it is a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset with a massive 11600mAh battery. Samsung also pushes its multitasking features hard, with desktop-style modes that make it feel closer to a laptop.

The downside is obvious, though. It’s big, expensive, and not as easy to use casually. But if you want the biggest and most capable Android tablet, this is the one.

Oppo has just launched the Oppo Find N6 foldable phone along with the Watch X3 in China. There have been speculations that April will see the arrival of the company’s new flagship phones. Today, Oppo Product Manager Zhou Yibao officially confirmed that the new Find X-series phones will indeed debut next month.

While Yibao did not specify the names of the next Find X-series phones, rumors suggest that the new lineup includes the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro. Likely, the brand may share more details about the new X9-series models in the coming days.

Oppo K15 Turbo series may launch before Find X9 models

Apart from the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro, Oppo is also said to be working on the K Turbo-series of performance-focused phones. The alleged K15 Turbo and K15 Turbo Pro have surfaced in the database of China’s TENAA certification platform, revealing their core specifications.

The TENAA listing suggests that the K15 Turbo series may debut before the X9 models. Therefore, it is likely that the K15 Turbo may break cover in early April, while the X9 Ultra and X9s Pro may debut by the end of the month.

Oppo is also said to be working on the Oppo Pad 5 Pro and Pad Mini flagship tablets. The Pad Mini will be a performance-focused offering with a compact design. Likely, the Pad Mini may debut with the K15 Turbo lineup, whereas the Pad 5 Pro may debut with the X9 models.

Some of these devices are expected to debut globally in the near future. The X9 Ultra may debut in the second quarter in other markets, while the X9s Pro may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

Alienware has announced the availability of its latest Area-51 and Aurora gaming laptops as part of its 30th anniversary lineup, introducing updated hardware, revised thermal designs, and a new visual direction. The systems were initially introduced at CES 2025 and are now available to purchase.

The Area-51 series returns as the company’s flagship notebook range, focusing on high-end configurations and larger form factors. This generation introduces what Alienware calls its “Alienware 30” design language, which replaces sharper edges with curved surfaces. The chassis also incorporates a concealed hinge design and a softer palm rest layout aimed at improving long-duration usability.

The lineup includes 16-inch and 18-inch models with WQXGA (2560 x 1600) displays. The 16-inch variant can be configured with an OLED panel offering a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.2ms response time, and up to 620 nits of peak HDR brightness. The 18-inch model uses a 300Hz panel with 500 nits brightness and a 3ms response time. An LCD option is also available for the smaller model.

On the hardware side, both Area-51 models can be equipped with up to Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU with 24GB of VRAM. Memory support goes up to 64GB of DDR5-6400 in a dual-channel configuration. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Gigabit Ethernet. The system is backed by a 90Whr battery and supports up to a 280W charger on higher-end configurations.

Pricing

Pricing varies depending on the configuration. The Alienware 16X Aurora with a Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor starts at $2,919 for pre-configured models. The Area-51 16 and Area-51 18 with similar high-end specs are priced at $4,899 and $4,999, respectively.

Dell also offers lower-priced “build your own” options. Current starting prices for Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus variants are:

ASUS has announced the 2026 versions of its ROG Strix G16 and ROG Strix G18 gaming laptops, introducing updated hardware, higher-end display options, and a redesigned chassis aimed at easier user upgrades. PPP Cameras recently drew attention with its Leica-inspired Casio M-Edition watch, a modified version of the Casio AE-1200WHD that focused entirely on design changes rather than new features. The company is now following a similar approach with a new custom release called the N168. This model is based on the Casio A168WE, another widely used digital watch platform. Like the M-Edition, this is not an official Casio release but a third-party redesign focused on aesthetics.

The N168 keeps the original A168 digital module unchanged. It still includes standard features such as a stopwatch, alarm, and backlight. There are no functional upgrades, which makes it clear that the product is centered on visual identity rather than performance improvements.

This time, the design takes inspiration from Nikon cameras. The display features a yellow tint, referencing Nikon’s signature color. The strap uses a black canvas material with yellow stitching, similar to camera straps used on DSLR and mirrorless systems. The case design remains close to the original A168, and existing elements like the “Illuminator” branding are still visible, reinforcing that the base hardware has not been altered.

PPP Cameras has listed three versions of the N168: Chrome, Black, and Titanium. There’s also some customization, with categories like health, travel, and traffic. But from what many users are saying, the experience isn’t always as “smart” as it sounds. News can feel outdated, suggestions miss the mark, and a lot of it overlaps with apps people already check directly.

Where things get more interesting is in a setting called “Get richer insights.” This is where Samsung leans more heavily into personalization, with toggles for services like YouTube and Gemini. Turning these on is supposed to improve recommendations. More relevant videos, better suggestions tied to your habits or plans.

But there’s a catch, and it’s not a small one. Enabling these options means sharing a fairly wide range of data with Google. Huawei has started selling the Watch GT Runner 2 in more regions, including markets like Germany, as it expands availability of its running-focused smartwatch.

The Watch GT Runner 2 is designed mainly for runners, not as a general smartwatch. It uses a titanium alloy build across the case, bezel, crown, and buttons. The watch measures 43.5mm by 43.5mm and is 10.7mm thick. It weighs about 34.5g without the strap, making it light for long runs.

Huawei includes a new AirDry woven strap with a hollow design to improve airflow. The company says it increases breathability by 25 percent compared to earlier straps. A second fluoroelastomer strap is also included for workouts where sweat and water are more of a concern.

Huawei is focusing heavily on running features. The Watch GT Runner 2 includes an Intelligent Marathon Mode developed with the DSM-Firmenich Running Team. It offers structured training plans, race preparation tools, and support for major marathon events or custom runs.

The watch tracks advanced metrics such as lactate threshold, running power, training intensity, and a Running Ability Index. It can also predict finishing times based on past data. During runs, it shows real-time pace charts, estimated finish times, and how far ahead or behind you are compared to your target. It also includes a digital pacer and fueling reminders. After workouts, the Huawei Health app provides performance breakdowns and recovery insights.

Huawei says the watch uses a 3D floating antenna system for GPS tracking, with up to 20 percent better positioning accuracy compared to the previous model. Beyond running, it supports over 100 sports modes, including trail running, swimming, cycling, golf, with access to over 17,000 courses in some regions, and freediving up to 40 meters. It has 5 ATM and IP69 ratings, though it is not meant for hot showers or deep diving.

Health features include ECG, heart rate variability tracking, blood oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking with breathing awareness, stress tracking, and pulse wave arrhythmia analysis. These features are for reference only.

Battery life is rated at up to 14 days under light use, around 7 days with typical use, and up to 32 hours in outdoor workout mode with precise positioning. It supports wireless charging, NFC, Bluetooth calling, standalone music playback, and QR code scanning. It works with Android and iOS, though some features are limited on iPhones.

The watch is priced at £349 in the UK and around $420 to $466 depending on the region.

TCL has launched the T7M Ultra SQD-Mini LED TV in China, which it describes as the first SQD-Mini LED TV for the living room. It comes in four sizes: 64-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, and 98-inch, with prices ranging from 6,799 yuan ($987) to 15,999 yuan ($2,323).

TCL T7M Ultra Specifications

The T7M Ultra uses SQD-Mini LED technology, which upgrades traditional Mini LED backlighting. TCL has equipped the TV with up to 2,176 local dimming zones, delivering precise light control and better contrast. The display achieves a 100% BT.2020 color gamut, using enhanced quantum dot technology for purer red, green, and blue tones.

The TV features the Super Butterfly Wing Starlight panel, designed to improve contrast, create deeper blacks, and enhance light transmission. TCL has included XDR technology, which enables the panel to reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The TV supports 4K resolution with a 150Hz refresh rate and a high refresh mode that pushes performance up to 300Hz.

The T7M Ultra features an HVA 2.0 panel for better contrast and reduced reflections, dual-layer coatings for bright environments, and a reduced optical distance design for improved light control. It is 60mm thick, allowing near wall-flush installations.

For audio, the TV comes with an Onkyo 2.1.2 channel Hi-Fi audio system, which includes upward-firing speakers and a dedicated subwoofer. TCL has also added support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

In terms of performance, the T7M Ultra is powered by a quad-core A73 processor, G57 MC1 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of storage. It runs on Lingkong UI 3.0, featuring a card-based interface with no boot ads and smooth multitasking. The system uses Fuxi AI, offering features like AI-based content recommendations, image enhancements, and smart controls.

The TV includes four HDMI 2.1 ports with full 48Gbps bandwidth, USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, and dual-band WiFi. TCL has also added advanced gaming features like variable refresh rate (VRR) and motion enhancement, ensuring smoother gameplay.

Philips has announced the full details of its revived Moving Sound audio lineup, a product range that draws design inspiration from the company’s 1980s-era devices while incorporating current wireless and smart audio features. The lineup includes two portable Bluetooth speakers, a pair of on-ear headphones, and true wireless earbuds, all expected to launch in Q2 2026.

The larger of the two speakers, The Tube (MS80), is positioned as a modern take on the classic boombox. It delivers 140W output through two 12.7cm woofers and two 19mm tweeters, along with dual passive radiators for low-frequency support. The device includes Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast sharing, and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours. A built-in display shows an animated cassette graphic, referencing older cassette players. The unit measures 51 x 20 x 16.5cm, includes a carry handle and shoulder strap, and is priced at €350.

The Roller (MS60) is a smaller portable speaker with a 60W output system comprising a woofer, tweeter, and passive radiator. Samsung’s S Pen has long been synonymous with its flagship Galaxy Note series, and now the Ultra line of the Galaxy S series. For over a decade, it has been a defining feature, beloved by power users for its precision, versatility, and productivity features.

But recent changes, from the removal of Bluetooth functionality to the complete absence of stylus support on foldables, have raised concerns about the future of the S Pen.

Is Samsung quietly phasing out its iconic stylus, or is it simply rethinking how it integrates the technology?

Quiet Downgrades

Samsung began scaling back the S Pen with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The company removed the Bluetooth LE module from the stylus, which eliminated its Air Actions functionality. Features like remote camera shutter, media playback controls, and gesture-based navigation all disappeared.

These capabilities turned the S Pen into more than just a writing tool. Their removal frustrated many fans, with online communities still voicing their disappointment.

Choi revealed that Samsung is working on more advanced technology within S Pen. He explained that this would involve structural changes to the display to eliminate the trade-offs associated with including the stylus.

Choi did not provide technical details. However, the term new structure of display suggests significant innovations could be coming. Samsung may be exploring thinner digitizer layers, alternative input methods, or better integration with Qi2 charging technology.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Wide Fold just cleared China’s 3C certification with 45W wired charging. The Fold line’s been stuck at 25W since the Fold 2, but the 2026 lineup is getting the most-anticipated upgrades.

Model numbers SM-F9710 and SM-F9760 popped up on the 3C platform, supporting charging at up to 15V and 3A. This puts the Fold devices in line with Samsung’s Galaxy S Ultra lineup. Four years late, but better than never showing up at all.

Samsung reportedly rearranged internal components to create more space inside the foldables and aims to bump up the charging speed to 45W.

Earlier reports suggested the Fold 8 might break past the 4,400mAh battery size that’s remained unchanged for several years, with some insiders believing the upcoming Fold could reach 5,000mAh.

Galaxy Z Flip 8, with model number SM-F7760, showed up on 3C supporting 25W charging at 9V/2.77A. Samsung hasn’t updated wired charging speeds for the Galaxy Z Flip lineup in quite some time, and apparently, not starting now.

Previous reports indicate the Flip 8 will likely use a dual-battery system with a combined rated capacity of 4,174mAh, which would likely be marketed as a 4,300mAh battery, exactly the same capacity found in the current Z Flip 7.

The Wide Fold’s positioning is interesting.

Galaxy Wide Fold is clearly Samsung’s attempt to counter Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone before it even launches. The idea with the Wide Fold is to have a wider cover screen that is 18:9, unfolding into a square 18:18 or 1:1 inner display.

The device may feature a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer screen, potentially bringing back S Pen support that Samsung removed from the Z Fold 7 for slimness, with plans including around 1 million units production.

Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphone users can now send files directly to AirDrop-compatible Apple devices using Quick Share feature. No cables, no third-party apps; just native sharing between Galaxy and iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

As of March 23, Samsung users can send files directly to Apple devices using the AirDrop-supported Quick Share feature. This change arrives with the latest firmware update for the Galaxy S26 lineup.

It took time, but it’s here.

Google quietly introduced cross-platform sharing support on select Pixel devices late last year. Now Samsung has picked it up and pushed it further. With the AZCF firmware, Quick Share gains interoperability with Apple’s AirDrop protocol.

This is not a separate app. It’s built into the existing Quick Share framework.

How to enable “Share with Apple devices”

Samsung has kept the setup simple, but it’s buried under Quick Share settings.

Here’s the exact path:

1. Open Settings
2. Tap “Connected devices”
3. Go to “Quick Share”
4. Look for a new toggle: “Share with Apple devices”
5. Turn it on.

Once enabled, your Galaxy device can detect nearby Apple devices that are ready to receive files.

What needs to be set on the Apple device

The receiving iPhone, iPad, or Mac must have AirDrop visibility set to “Everyone.” If it’s set to “Contacts Only” or turned off, your Galaxy device won’t see it.

Requirements you cannot ignore

The feature depends on updated backend services. If it is not working, check these first:

• Google Play Services: version 26.11.33 or higher

If either of these is outdated, the Apple sharing toggle may not appear at all. Samsung’s latest update for the Galaxy S26 series automatically updates both services to the latest versions.

The rollout of AirDrop has started on Galaxy S26 phones, and Samsung just revealed a crucial step to activate the features.

Google was the one who made AirDrop sharing real on Android phones. Samsung, through its community moderator, has now revealed the activation steps, which involve updating the Google Play Services app.

Samsung says its Quick Share-AirDrop sharing compatibility requires Google Play Services version 26.11.xx or above. If you’re running an older version, it needs to be updated to let you access AirDrop-style file sharing.

The statement says it loud that AirDrop is backed by core Android services. Without having the required version of Google Play Services, even Samsung won’t be able to provide you with access to the AirDrop feature.

Samsung also shared a tutorial to update Google Play Services. Galaxy users are required to open Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > App source info > Update.

Google Play Services mostly comes as a server-side update. They install when you use your phone or restart it. A software update also brings an updated version of core Android apps to improve performance and functionality.

Samsung has backed away from one of its more ambitious S Pen experiments for next year’s Galaxy S27 Ultra, choosing to stick with its long-standing digitizer-based input system after testing a radically thinner alternative.

According to ETNews, Samsung had been exploring a new pen technology that could eliminate the digitizer layer inside the display. The goal was simple on paper: to shave off roughly 0.3mm from the device thickness.

Well, chasing millimeters is no longer enough if it compromises core functionality. For the Galaxy S Ultra lineup, the S Pen is not optional. It is part of the identity; removing or downgrading that experience was never seriously on the table.

The S Pen experiment

The alternative under review was a hybrid approach, blending EMR with active electrostatic technology, or AES. AES shifts the power requirement into the pen itself, meaning it needs a battery and internal circuitry.

Samsung’s idea was to combine the strengths of both systems while removing their weaknesses, essentially building a pen that needs neither a digitizer nor a battery. It sounds elegant, but the engineering reality is not.

While the S27 Ultra will retain its familiar EMR-based S Pen, the broader question remains open. Can Samsung eventually make digitizer-based input and magnetic ecosystems coexist without compromise?

For now, the company is choosing stability over experimentation. The S Pen stays as it is, reliable, battery-free, and deeply integrated, even if it costs a fraction of a millimeter in thickness.

It’s been a busy week if you follow Samsung leaks as closely as I do. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 battery story broke earlier, but it didn’t quite sit right to just report it and move on. This one deserves a second look; a slower, more critical read.

For the first time in years, Samsung might actually be doing something about the Fold’s weakest link.

Here’s what the leak tells us.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to be equipped with a dual-cell battery setup rated at 2,369mAh and 2,485mAh. The combination brings the combined rated capacity to 4,845mAh, which Samsung will almost certainly market as 5,000mAh.

If that number sounds familiar, it should; that is in line with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Meanwhile, the Fold is not a slab phone. It is running two displays, one of them tablet-sized, with a hinge mechanism and internal constraints.

Still, numbers only tell half the story. Efficiency, thermal headroom, and software tuning will decide whether this finally fixes the Fold’s long-standing battery anxiety. If you have used the Fold 7 as a daily driver, you already know what I mean.

If you’ve been following the Fold series, you’ve probably noticed the pattern. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 pushed things to 4,500mAh back in 2020. Then came the Fold 3, and Samsung actually stepped back to 4,400mAh.

Since then, every new foldable, including the Z Fold 4, Z Fold 6, and Z Fold 7, has stuck at 4,400mAh. Now, with the Fold 8, we are potentially looking at a jump to 5,000mAh. That’s roughly a 13 to 14 percent increase.

Samsung’s engineering team has finally hit the wall with the 4,400mAh limit. While it’s not revolutionary, but significant enough to matter. More importantly, it breaks a five-year plateau, taking the Galaxy Z Fold near S Ultra.

At present, there is no clarity about the final moniker of the phone. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether it will be called the iQOO Neo 11 Pro or something else. Apart from featuring a Dimensity chip, the rest of its specifications could be identical to the existing model.

In a new development, a new OnePlus phone has been approved by India’s BIS. While there is no concrete evidence to support the claim, this could be the forthcoming OnePlus 15s.

To recall, the OnePlus 13s, launched last year, is the company’s first phone with an autofocus-enabled 32-megapixel front camera. Therefore, it is likely that the said feature could be retained on the OnePlus 15s.

A new report has revealed that the OnePlus 15T, on the other hand, will have a 16-megapixel front camera like its previous generation. The rest of the specifications could be identical on the OnePlus 15s and 15T.

The chip is accompanied by 16GB of RAM, 16GB of virtual RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. The screenshot also mentions the inclusion of Vivo’s VS1 and V3+ chips. The VS1 reportedly handles image pre-processing (before ISP), while the V3+ takes care of post-processing (after capture) to enhance final photo and video output.

Coming to the elephant in the room, the Vivo X300 Ultra does not pack a 7,000mAh battery as rumors claimed. Instead, it features a 6,600mAh unit, which is still larger than the 6,510mAh battery that powers the existing Vivo X300 Pro. Therefore, the X300 Ultra’s battery is expected to last more than a day with normal usage. Several Chinese brands like OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, and iQOO have already nudged prices upward for their budget devices. Meanwhile, Samsung has also increased smartphone prices in markets like India.

And while prices are rising, consumers’ willingness — or ability — to spend more on phones might not be increasing at the same pace. As a result, manufacturers could be looking for ways to keep retail prices in check, even if that means leaning on older hardware and design choices.

What makes this leak interesting isn’t any single feature. It’s the combination. A return to waterdrop notches, expandable storage, and plastic builds suggests manufacturers may be re-evaluating what they can realistically deliver as smartphone prices continue to climb globally.

The OnePlus Watch 4 has started appearing in leaks and certification listings, which usually means a launch isn’t too far off. But going by what’s surfaced so far, this might be one of those updates that focuses more on refinement than anything dramatic.

The latest bit of info comes from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, who spotted the watch on the EMVCo database. That certification mainly relates to contactless payments, and devices tend to show up there fairly close to launch. What’s a little interesting is that there are two model numbers listed: XL905 and XL907. It’s not clear what the difference is yet, but it could point to multiple variants, maybe different sizes or a slightly tweaked version.

As for the hardware, things look… familiar. The Watch 4 is expected to stick with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 from last year’s Watch 3. The chip itself dates back to 2022 and has since been succeeded by the newer W5 Gen 2 series, announced in August 2025.

The display also doesn’t seem to change—a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 466 × 466 resolution, which is basically what we’ve already seen before. There is mention of a slightly larger 47mm case, though, so the overall feel on the wrist might be a bit different.

Battery capacity is said to be 646mAh, which again sounds very similar to the current model. So expectations here should probably be in line with what OnePlus already delivers. One area that does stand out a bit more is durability. The watch is tipped to come with an IP69 rating, which, if accurate, would make it more resistant to harsher conditions than before.

There’s also some mixed info around the software. One leak mentions Wear OS 5, while the certification listing points to Wear OS 6, which seems more likely at this point.

Put together, the Watch 4 looks like a careful update. Not underwhelming, but not trying too hard to surprise either.

The phone looks similar to the standard Mate 80 Pro Max, but there are visible changes in the camera area. The rear camera ring is wider and includes small ventilation holes. These vents house an active cooling fan placed inside the camera module. This setup is designed to control heat during heavy usage.

The fan is expected to help the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset maintain performance during long sessions such as gaming or intensive tasks. It may also help with heat management during extended video recording. To make space for the fan, Huawei has removed one rear camera. The Wind Edition features a triple-camera system instead of the quad-camera setup on the standard model.

Other specifications remain the same as the regular variant. The device has a 6.9-inch AMOLED LTPO display. It is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro processor and includes a 6,000mAh battery. Charging support includes 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.

Sony looks like it’s preparing its next big step in console graphics, and this time the focus is on AI. PlayStation’s lead architect has confirmed that machine learning-based frame generation feature is on the roadmap. It aims to improve the frame rate without needing a raw jump in hardware power.

The update comes from Mark Cerny, who spoke about Sony’s plans in a recent interview highlighted by Digital Foundry. According to him, Sony has been working closely with AMD under a joint initiative called Project Amethyst. The idea is to co-develop graphics and machine learning tech specifically tuned for PlayStation hardware.

A big part of that effort revolves around AMD’s upcoming FSR Redstone suite. This includes not just upscaling, but also frame generation and something called ray reconstruction. Cerny pointed out that Sony’s PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) already shares core elements with the same tech stack, at least on the upscaling side. So this isn’t a completely separate path. It’s more like an extension of what’s already there.

The key takeaway is that improved AI-driven frame generation is coming, though not anytime soon. Cerny made it clear that nothing new on this front is expected for the rest of 2026. Still, the groundwork seems to be well underway, and both Sony and AMD appear fairly confident about where things are headed.

Vivo showed off the first images of the X300 Ultra earlier this week in an official teaser, revealing the phone in a new “Film Green” color. Now the device has surfaced in real-life photos in a beige shade, showing it from nearly every angle.

As you can see, the X300 Ultra features a massive camera module on the back with Zeiss branding. It’s particularly noticeable in the side-angle shot (the second image), which also shows the power and volume buttons. This beige variant also appears to have patterns on the rear panel.

The frame looks to be made of metal, while the bottom houses the usual hardware: microphones, a USB-C port, a speaker grille, and a SIM tray.

More interestingly, one of the leaked photos shows the settings page with key specs for the X300 Ultra. According to the image, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It also includes Vivo’s in-house VS1 and V3+ dual imaging chips.

The device also packs a 6,600mAh battery.

What can you expect?

As you know by now, the X300 Ultra is all about the camera. Its rear setup is said to include a 200-megapixel Sony LYT-901 main lens with a 1/1.12-inch sensor and 35mm focal length, along with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB periscope telephoto camera at 85mm with Zeiss APO certification

A 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 ultra-wide lens and a multispectral sensor complete the system.  For selfies, you are likely to get a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. 

A previous leak also suggests that the Vivo X300 Ultra could arrive in four configurations: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB. The top-end model is also tipped to support satellite communication.

One UI has come a long way, and the on-device global search has become one of its key capabilities to find anything on the phone without going through specific directories and wasting your valuable time. Finder works perfectly fine in this direction, but One UI 8.5 has made it more accessible than ever.

Usually, you need to open the app drawer to access the finder feature. Here you can see suggested apps, settings topics, recent searches, and type new queries or use voice input. Besides these, on-device categories, the search also expands to online content, Play Store, Galaxy Store, and web results.

The execution is fast and accurate due to Samsung’s search algorithm optimizations. Meanwhile, the One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy S26 series has introduced a dedicated Finder button that launches the feature with one tap without opening the app drawer.

However, the feature may not be accessible by default, so you have to enable it from the home screen settings. To do so, go to Home screen settings from the home screen and tap on the slider in front of the “Show Finder on Home Screen” option. This option will now show on the home screen, and you can tap to see the feature to expand its options.

How to customize it

Finder is entirely customizable, and you can check all of its options from the Finder settings. Go to Now Brief and open Finder, then tap on the three dots outside of the search bar. Enable or disable search options to see the content in the results. You can also manage Personal data intelligence and dive deep into the data sharing for added services.

For now, there’s no confirmation whether it will come to old devices with the stable One UI 8.5, but we’ll have to wait for an official statement.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series shipped with the newest features of Now Brief, an automated daily briefing feature that curates important information, tasks, and notifications that may improve your user experience.

Despite it being a good idea, the Now brief failed to impress users due to its low-accuracy of what Samsung promoted it to be. Most of the time, the feature shows weather, news article and YouTube video recommendations from your subscribed channels. And sometimes, it includes your photographs (from a particular day) and weekly screen time. Beyond that, the “Content to include” section has numerous categories that are part of the daily briefing.

However, the feature execution matters. The company has added a weather widget in the briefing, a news article that doesn’t refresh; if so, it’s not interesting. Most Galaxy S26 series and previous device owners may have been scrolling through videos on the YouTube app instead of waiting for them to appear slowly on their daily briefing. These might be a good example of how useless the feature could be.

That said, I recently started using Now Brief on a daily basis to test “Get richer insights“. It has YouTube and Gemini toggles; once enabled, they promise to deliver personalized content inside daily briefings. Yet, the company is asking for almost all of the important user data for personalized videos. Below is an example for YouTube.

“If you turn on this option, your schedule, reservation, and booking information from Samsung Wallet, Notifications, Messages, Calendar, Reminder, and Gmail information, and sports information from your Google Account, sports information from apps you use, the titles of websites you visit, and YouTube videos you watch that are analysed on your phone by Personal data intelligence will be shared with Google, who will collect and process this data to provide recommended travel and sports videos” reads the agreement pop-up.

So, it’s not a normal slider; Samsung wants you to give consent for Now Brief to access all of this information in exchange to get video recommendation. It’s hard to say, there will be a person who reads this information, and gives Now brief consent in exchange for YouTube video recommendations. All they need to do is open the app and explore whatever they want to watch or see.

It’s not like they can’t disable the feature, but the feature will start sipping this data as soon as you tap on the slider.

The other side of the matter is the depth of such information, including your wallet. Why should we be providing this information to see videos? It doesn’t mean that companies don’t farm data to train AI, but Samsung offering YouTube video recommendations in exchange for vital user data should only be called “data farming.”

Of course, it’s on the user to decide on the consent, but you should not overlook the intent.

Samsung continues to add new AI features in the Galaxy AI Suite and also updates the old ones, such as Now Brief, to make it user-friendly. This feature gathers the important moments from your device, such as Gallery pictures, energy score, sleep schedule, alarm, wallet, and more, and puts them in a single briefing curated with AI.

Talking about the new stuff, the Galaxy S26 series has brought a few additions to the Now brief that aren’t available for the Galaxy S26 series.

There’s a new section in the Now brief settings, “Get richer insights”. It shares your personal data with Samsung’s partner companies to receive “relevant” and “personalized” content in your daily briefings. There are two partners currently added in the settings: YouTube and Gemini.

YouTube will suggest more videos to you, and Gemini will give you some insights into your daily Gemini use case. After enabling these two, I am not getting anything useful, and whatever you may call it, it doesn’t make Now brief any more interesting, an element that’s lacking from the very beginning.

The concept of the Now brief is great, but its results aren’t nowhere near “great” word. So, Samsung should focus on providing some user-centric statistics that are not based on AI fantasy. It lacks preciseness of all of the things that the phone maker has promised to offer with content addons. These two features might expand to other Galaxy S25 series devices with stable One UI 8.5, but we’re not sure about that.

Samsung has been testing One UI 8.5 beta for the past three months and left one premium Galaxy S-series phone out of the One UI 8.5 beta equation. Initially, the S25 series entered beta testing, specifically S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Yet, the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung’s slimmest S-series phone to date, has not received the beta update.

The phone comes with flagship specs and a high-quality camera system, but the most interesting quality of the device is its outlook. On the other hand, it has the same price tag as the newly released Galaxy S26+. These reasons convinced me that the phone deserved a shot at the new beta.

However, it isn’t the first time that S25 Edge users have been neglected. Last year, the company refused to release the One UI 8.0 for this phone alongside the main lineup. Though the update arrived later on, that doesn’t summarize the course of this action.

Some might argue that the phone was released in May 2025 and has a different firmware development cycle. We can agree to that, but Samsung had enough time to match the software update release time for all four models. Yet, it didn’t bother.

Also, what about the price tag? The S25 Edge may have been demoted in Samsung’s launch cycle, but it still has a user base that paid a good sum of money that rivals its latest flagships.

Past report suggests that Samsung is working on the 8th One UI 8.5 beta. And the stable update will come in April, which may also be the time when the S25 Edge will get this new software.

But that doesn’t mean that the S25 Edge shouldn’t be included in a new One UI beta program. Eventually, we can say that Samsung wants to keep it effortless and continue the three-device testing model in its beta program. So, it can sit back, relax, and develop the firmware for these devices with limited effort.

Samsung One UI 8.5 Beta Program is running for some flagship devices even though the stable version debuted with the Galaxy S26 series. One UI 8.5 is not yet available for the Galaxy S24 series, not even as a beta version. But a first early look at One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy S24 Ultra has now appeared online, giving users an early glimpse of what the update has to offer.

Google has announced a new feature for its Google Messages app. The feature is named the Trash folder, and it will help users manage deleted messages more easily.

Before this update, when you deleted a message, it was gone forever right away. But now, things are changing. With the new Trash folder, deleted messages will not disappear instantly. Instead, they will go into a special folder called Trash.

These messages will stay in the Trash for up to 30 days on most phones. This means if you delete something by mistake, you still have time to get it back. On Android Go phones, which are simpler devices, messages will stay in Trash for only seven days.

You can open the Trash folder anytime to check your deleted messages. From there, you can choose to restore a message, which will bring it back to your inbox. If you are sure you don’t need a message, you can delete it permanently. There are also options to delete all messages or restore all messages in just one tap.

To access trash, you just need to tap your profile picture in the top-right corner of the app, and you will see the option there. Google has not said the exact date when this feature will be available to everyone. Stay tuned for more information.

CSOT, the display arm of TCL went after Samsung, Walmart, and Best Buy in federal court, accusing them of selling devices loaded with AMOLED screens that step all over three patents the Chinese company holds.

Wuhan China Star Optoelectronics Semiconductor Display Technology, the TCL subsidiary that filed the suit, didn’t mess around with the scope. Laptops, wearables, and Google Pixel phones are all in the crosshairs.

This countersuit follows Samsung’s previous legal action against TCL in June, when Samsung lobbed its own infringement claims at the Chinese display maker over OLED pixel tech used in TCL’s phones.

The Indian government quietly made a proposal in January that would see every new phone sold in the country come with the Aadhaar app already sitting on your Samsung phone’s home screen.

UIDAI, the body that runs Aadhaar, wanted the IT Ministry to pitch this to phonemakers. Samsung said no; so did Apple and Google. Samsung and Apple both flagged safety and security concerns when MAIT relayed the request to manufacturers.

These aren’t new worries, as the Sanchar Saathi app caused similar pushback in 2025. But this one’s actually more intrusive because Aadhaar isn’t some telecom fraud tracker. It’s a biometric identity system tied to over 1.34 billion people.

Here’s what UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said to justify it:

“underprivileged people who don’t have access to high-end mobile phones and cannot install apps that may occupy a lot of space on their devices” would benefit.

MAIT pointed out that forcing the app onto phones would require separate production lines for devices going to the Indian market. Reuters reported that MAIT told members the move wouldn’t serve a larger public purpose.

UIDAI’s new Aadhaar app dropped in January with face biometrics, liveness detection, age verification, and QR code sharing. Users can selectively share identity data and control consent instead of handing over full details.

It includes features like face authentication and biometric lock and unlock. The offline verification angle particularly makes sense for people in patchy connectivity zones. But utility doesn’t require mandatory preinstallation.

Reuters said the proposal was framed as a request, not an order. UIDAI’s official line after the story broke was that there’s no plan to make preinstallation mandatory, and MAIT characterized the whole thing as “preliminary exploration of ideas.”

Xiaomi has begun rolling out the HyperOS 3 update to Xiaomi 13T Pro and Poco F5 users globally. For the Xiaomi 13T Pro, the rollout isn’t new. It originally went live around one and a half months back, but pulled back later due to a critical problem that caused random reboots and bootloops.

HyperOS 3 rolls out (again) for Xiaomi 13T Pro

The new HyperOS 3 build for the Xiaomi 13T Pro should be free from critical bugs, given that Xiaomi has spent a lot of time resolving the problems. Besides HyperOS 3 and Android 16 goodies, the latest build includes the February 2026 security patch, not the latest one.

Here are the firmware versions for the revised HyperOS 3 update for the Xiaomi 13T Pro, as spotted by Xiaomi Time:

The HyperOS 3 update for the Poco F5 is rolling out globally with the firmware version OS3.0.3.0.VMRMIXM. The update also brings the February 2026 security patch, which fixes dozens of vulnerabilities to make the device safer.

Before you can test HyperOS 3 features on your Poco phone, you’ll need to download an update package weighing around 2GB. It’s best to use a stable Wi-Fi connection to download such hefty update packages. Also, remember to charge your device at least 40% and back up important data before hitting the install button.

According to Digital Chat Station (DCS), the K15 Pro lineup may include two models. While the exact names aren’t confirmed yet, the devices could launch as the Oppo K15 Turbo and the Oppo K15 Turbo Pro.

Will the S25 get it?

Right now, USB webcam mode isn’t available in the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25. Samsung could add it in the final public release since the feature doesn’t need extra hardware.
