One UI 9 (Android 17) could add Motion Assist feature to Galaxy phones

14 December 2025 at 00:18

Samsung Galaxy users may soon get a helpful new feature, Motion Assist, with One UI 9. One UI 9 will be based on Android 17, and Google is reportedly working on this feature to make using phones in moving vehicles easier and more comfortable.

Several people feel dizzy or get headaches while travelling in cars, buses, or trains and using a phone. Motion sickness occurs because your eyes perceive a still screen while your body senses movement.

To resolve this issue, Google is developing a Motion Assist feature, which displays small dots on the screen that move in sync with the vehicle’s motion. These dots use the phone’s motion sensors to match to reduce motion sickness.

The feature has been spotted by Assemble Debug, who found that Motion Assist, also called Motion Cues, already exists inside Google Play Services but is not yet active. Currently, this feature cannot appear over the lock screen, notifications, or Quick Settings due to Android’s overlay limits.

Android 17 update might make these appear dots safely on all parts of the screen. Google might make it a part of the system rather than a separate app. It could also work with Transiting mode, which changes phone settings automatically while commuting.

Based on Android 17, Samsung’s One UI 9 is also expected to bring the Motion Assist feature to Galaxy devices. Stay tuned for more information.

Gemini’s image markup tool is now in testing

13 December 2025 at 21:47

Google is testing a new image feature for its Gemini AI, and it aims to make working with pictures much easier. This new tool allows users to mark, circle, or draw on images before asking questions. By doing this, Gemini can clearly see which part of the image the user wants to talk about.

The new image feature is currently under testing in the Gemini mobile app and also on the web version. When users upload an image to Gemini, they can now highlight or mark certain areas in the picture. It means users can point to just one ask question about it, if there are many people or objects in one image.

On Android devices, Gemini shows a short message when an image is added, which explains the new markup action. Users can use this tool not only for analysis but also for editing images. Early testing shows that Gemini understands marked areas well, even if it sometimes makes small mistakes.

Gemini Image Marked feature

Google has been working on this feature for the past few months. First, signs of it were found in app updates, and later it appeared in leaks showing Gemini on the web. Now, some users have started to see it live, which means Google is likely testing it more widely.

At the moment, not everyone has access to the image markup feature. Google has not yet confirmed when it will be available to everyone. So stay tuned for more information.

Gemini 2.5 Flash Native Audio brings more natural, smarter voice interactions

13 December 2025 at 01:36

Google is rolling out a big upgrade for Gemini AI, Gemini 2.5 Flash Native Audio, and it’s all about making conversations feel more natural and human. The new update makes voice interactions smoother, smarter, and far less robotic.

The update comes with major improvements in how Gemini handles tasks while you’re talking. Now, the AI helps to recognize when it needs real-time information without breaking the flow of the conversation. Instead of awkward pauses or replies, you will now get a smooth response after this update.

Moreover, it also enhances instruction following. Gemini used to follow developer instructions correctly about 84% of the time, but after the update, it now reaches around 90%. This means it can better understand complex steps and give more accurate and dependable responses.

The update also makes conversations more connected and natural. Gemini can now remember earlier parts of the conversation more effectively. It helps to stay on topic even if the discussion is long.

Google has also added two small but helpful features for Gemini Live. First, it won’t cut you off if you pause while speaking. Second, you can mute your microphone while Gemini is talking so you don’t interrupt them by mistake.

These new improvements are already rolling out. You can experience the updated Gemini 2.5 Flash Native Audio in Gemini Live, Search Live, Google AI Studio, and Vertex AI. With this major upgrade, Google aims to make AI conversations feel more natural and user-friendly.

Three budget-friendly Samsung 5G phones spotted on BIS

13 December 2025 at 00:48

Samsung is preparing to launch three new 5G smartphones, including the Galaxy A07 5G, Galaxy M07 5G, and Galaxy F07 5G, in India. These devices have just appeared on India’s BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) website.

The Galaxy A07 5G is expected to launch either later this month or in January 2026. The BIS listing shows its model number as SM-A076B/DS. The “/DS” means the phone will support two SIM cards.

Samsung has also created support pages for this phone. This device has appeared on Bluetooth SIG, Geekbench, and Samsung’s test servers, all signs that the launch is close.

Samsung Galaxy A07 BIS Listing

The Galaxy M07 5G and F07 5G have also been certified by BIS, with model numbers SM-M076B/DS and SM-E076B/DS. They are listed on Bluetooth SIG but have not appeared on Samsung’s test servers or Geekbench yet. This suggests that these two phones may launch slightly later than the A07 5G.

As for specifications, the Galaxy A07 5G is expected to come with 6GB of RAM, an Adreno 610 GPU, and Android 16. All three devices are likely to come with Samsung’s One UI 8. Later, they should get an update to One UI 8.5, probably around April 2026, after the Galaxy S26 series launches.

Previously, Smart Club offered three membership tiers based on how much customers spent- Plus, Pro, and Elite. The Plus Tier applied to those who spent between INR 15,000 and INR 75,000, earning 1.25% of their purchase value in reward points.

Samsung Health auto-pause causing GPS issues on Galaxy Watch

12 December 2025 at 22:05

Samsung Galaxy Watch is an amazing tool for tracking health, but some users are currently facing issues with it. Some users have reported that when they pause and resume their workout, the GPS and distance tracking functions don’t function properly.

Samsung Health app’s auto-pause feature is causing this Galaxy Watch issue. When you stop moving, this function pauses your workout, and when you start up again, it resumes. However, in some cases, after resuming your workout, your GPS location stops updating, and your workout distance doesn’t increase. This makes your workout data inaccurate.

Fortunately, Samsung has acknowledged the issue and explained that GPS and distance issues may arise when the auto pause functionality malfunctions. The community moderator also said that a software update is currently under development to resolve this problem.

Notably, this issue has been reported by many users, especially on models including Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 6, and Galaxy Watch 7 series. However, you can temporarily resolve the issue by disabling the Samsung Health app’s auto-pause function.

To do that, simply launch the Samsung Health app on your Galaxy Watch. Now, select the kind of activity you’re doing >> swipe right on the exercise screen to access the options >> on the exercise screen, swipe right to open the settings >> in the settings, turn off the auto-pause feature.  Your workout will continue tracking your distance and location without interruptions if you disable it.

Samsung advises updating the software on your Galaxy Watch to the most recent version. You can do this through the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. Simply navigate to Watch Settings, choose Watch Software Update, and then click Download and Install.

Samsung and BOE to discuss boosting LCD and OLED supply in upcoming meeting

12 December 2025 at 20:32

Chen Yanshun, the chairman of BOE, will visit Samsung Electronics next week to have important discussions about supplying screens for Samsung’s TVs and smartphones. The main aim of his visit is to talk about how BOE can provide more LCDs for TVs and OLEDs for smartphones.

During the visit, Chen is expected to meet with top Samsung executives, including Yong Seok-woo, who heads Samsung’s TV business, and Noh Tae-moon, who oversees the mobile and TV divisions. A big topic will be getting BOE back into Samsung’s TV supply chain.

In the past, BOE used to supply Samsung with 10 million LCD TVs every year. But that number dropped to only 1 million last year due to issues between the companies.

BOE specializes in making LCDs with IPS technology, which are known for better viewing angles. Samsung had previously relied on LG Display for these panels, but now buys many from CSOT, a Chinese company. BOE wants to reduce Samsung’s reliance on CSOT and increase its own share of the business.

Also, BOE hopes to supply more OLED screens for Samsung’s smartphones and smartwatches. Although OLED screens are a small part of BOE’s business, they are an important area for improving its relationship with Samsung.

The visit could also include discussions about the recent settlement of a patent dispute between BOE and Samsung Display. After the settlement, both companies are expected to sign agreements for using each other’s technology. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung has made it even easier for Galaxy phone users with its new feature in Samsung Wallet. The company has added a Climate Companion Card, which is a digital pass that lets users take public transport as much as they want for a set period, after paying a one-time fee.

Samsung Wallet also now supports other popular transportation cards like T-money and Eazle. If you have a phone with an eSIM, you can still use these cards, which makes the service available to even more users.

Samsung Dynamic wallpaper not working? Here’s the latest One UI 8 fix

12 December 2025 at 01:45

Some Samsung Galaxy users on One UI 8 have run into a problem with the Dynamic Wallpaper feature. This option is meant to change the wallpaper’s color throughout the day depending on the time, but for many users, it keeps switching back to the default wallpaper on its own.

According to the reports, when users set the Dynamic wallpaper on their Samsung Galaxy devices running One UI 8, the wallpaper is supposed to adjust its colors as per the time of day. But the bug causes wallpapers to revert to the default one, rather than changing to the colors as expected. This is quite frustrating.

Fortunately, Samsung has confirmed that the company is aware of this One UI 8 issue, and it affects the Dynamic Wallpaper feature. The company also mentioned that an update has been released to fix this issue. After that, the wallpaper will stay as you set it, and the color changes will occur correctly throughout the day.

Once the app is updated, your wallpaper will no longer reset, and the color changes will work smoothly. So if you are facing the same issue, install the update now.

Samsung and Meta might bring display equipped AI glasses in 2027

11 December 2025 at 23:06

Smart glasses are gaining popularity, and both Meta and Samsung are preparing to launch their own display-equipped AI glasses in 2027. This will mark an important year, as several big brands will compete to bring the best AR and AI experience to users.

Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, is currently the leader in AI smart glasses. It has been working on a new pair called “Phoenix.” These glasses will have a small display and will connect with a wire to a separate puck that holds the battery and main computer parts.

Samsung is also working on its own smart glasses. Unlike Meta’s wired design, Samsung’s glasses are expected to be completely wireless. They will connect to a phone using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Samsung’s glasses will also include a small display on one lens, making them useful for simple AR tasks.

Samsung Galaxy XR Glasses

Talking about the launch, Meta first planned to release Phoenix in 2026, but decided to delay it to 2027 for design and quality improvements. On the other hand, Samsung plans to launch basic AI glasses without a display next year, but then follow up with display-equipped glasses in 2027.

Both Samsung and Meta are working on smart glasses, but with different approaches. Meta’s glasses will run on its own Meta Horizon OS, while Samsung’s will use Android XR, Google’s new operating system for XR devices. With these developments, 2027 is expected to be a significant year for AR, XR, and AI technologies.

One UI 9 (Android 17) might bring long-awaited App Lock feature globally

11 December 2025 at 01:55

Samsung is currently preparing an Android 16-based One UI 8.5 for Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, we have some information that One UI 9 might bring the long-awaited App Lock feature to Samsung Galaxy users globally. This feature will let people lock their apps using a PIN, password, fingerprint, or face unlock, keeping private apps safe.

Earlier reports suggest that Samsung will add a native App Lock feature with One UI 8.5, but it will only be available in China. One UI 8.5 will also introduce a new Smart Manager with several AI features and security tools for Chinese users. App Lock will allow users to secure apps without relying on third-party apps.

Now, new information reveals that Google is working on a native App Lock feature for Android 17. This will allow users to lock apps directly from the system without using Private Space or third-party apps. Some code for this feature has already been spotted in a test version of Android 17.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Apps

Source – Sammyfans

At the moment, Android doesn’t offer a simple way to lock apps. Private Space exists, but it’s not very convenient. Apps in Private Space can’t appear on the home screen and require extra steps to open. They also run separately from the main profile.

Many phone makers created their own App Lock solutions, but still, some users often rely on third-party apps. But these apps can be unsafe or easily removed. Google’s new App Lock will make the feature official and secure.

If One UI 8.5 brings the App Lock feature to Galaxy devices in China, it is expected that this new feature might expand globally with Android 17-based One UI 9. Stay tuned for more information.

Google Brings Live Video Sharing to Emergency Calls on Android

10 December 2025 at 23:40

Google is launching a new safety feature, Android Emergency Live Video, which lets people share live video from their phone with emergency responders. This feature is now starting to roll out across the United States, as well as in some regions in Germany and Mexico.

The new feature works on Android phones running Android 8 or newer with Google Play services. It is very simple to use. When you call or text your local emergency number, the dispatcher may ask to see what is happening around you. They will send a request to your phone, and you can choose to accept or decline it by tapping “Share” or “No thanks.” You are always in control.

If you choose to share, your camera will open in a small window on your screen. You can make it bigger, stop sharing at any time, turn on your flashlight, or switch between the front and back cameras.

Also, Google says that the video is encrypted, which means it is protected while being sent. Emergency services may view and record the video only for your active situation.

Google explains that this feature can help responders understand what is happening faster. During an emergency, it can be hard to explain everything clearly, especially when you are stressed. Live video can help dispatchers quickly see the scene and guide you through important steps.

This new tool shows Google’s effort to improve safety on Android phones. It builds on features like Emergency Location Service, Car Crash Detection, Fall Detection, and Satellite SOS. Google is also working with safety organisations worldwide to make this feature available in more places.

Samsung has officially announced that it will be shutting down the Samsung Free app. The app, which offered news, articles, and games in one place, hasn’t been very popular with users. Now, Samsung is finally putting an end to this Free app.

Moreover, Samsung also explains that all personal data collected through the app will be deleted immediately after the shutdown. Any information that the company must keep by law will be stored only for the required period and then deleted. Users can check Samsung’s Privacy Policy for more details.

If you are still using Samsung Free, it’s important to save anything important before the app closes. Notably, gamers won’t lose their progress as games can still be accessed via Gaming Hub.

Samsung DeX may get smarter with Circle to Search in One UI 8.5

10 December 2025 at 19:11

Google’s Circle to Search is one of the most helpful AI features on Android phones and tablets. It lets you look up information about anything on your screen by simply long-pressing the home button or navigation bar. However, people using Samsung DeX have not been able to use this feature, but One UI 8.5 might change that.

Recently, Google released Android 16 QPR2, which includes several new improvements. It brings changes to Circle to Search, and it now works in Android’s Desktop Mode. This mode appears when your phone is connected to an external monitor or TV.

According to the latest information via Android Authority, you can start Circle to Search by long-pressing the app drawer button while in Desktop Mode. This means users can now quickly search for information even when using their phone like a computer.

One UI 8 External Display feature

With One UI 8.0, Samsung’s newer version of DeX introduced, which is also built on Android’s updated Desktop Mode. Because of this, there is a chance that Circle to Search will soon be available on Samsung DeX, probably with One UI 8.5.

However, the feature is not working just yet. When tested on a Galaxy S25 Ultra running the first One UI 8.5 beta, Circle to Search still didn’t appear in DeX. Long-pressing the home button showed a message saying it can’t be opened on a connected display. But long-pressing the app drawer button also did nothing.

This likely means Samsung hasn’t added the feature to the current beta version, or the Google Search app needs an update to enable it. But early leaks suggest that Circle to Search will arrive in Samsung DeX in a future One UI 8.5 update

Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 may miss Galaxy S26 launch – Here’s why

9 December 2025 at 23:07

Samsung Galaxy Ring is the best option for those who want to track their fitness without wearing a smartwatch. After Samsung released the first Galaxy Ring last July, many people are now hoping for the next version, the Galaxy Ring 2. However, it seems that the new ring may not come as soon as we thought.

According to the latest information, Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 may not launch with the Galaxy S26 series in early next year. While the Galaxy S26 series is expected to be unveiled in February, it looks like the Galaxy Ring 2 won’t be part of the event, which will disappoint many fans who were hoping for a quick launch.

There are several reasons why the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Ring might be delayed. The first reason could be a legal issue with Oura, a company that also makes smart rings. Oura has filed a complaint against Samsung, saying that the company used its patented technology without permission. It could affect Samsung’s plan for the Galaxy Ring 2.

Samsung Galaxy Ring

The second reason for the delay might be that Samsung wants more time to refine the Galaxy Ring 2 after launching the original Galaxy Ring in July. The upcoming ring could feature better and more useful tracking capabilities.

While the delay is disappointing, it seems we’ll have to wait a little longer for the Galaxy Ring 2 to arrive. But there’s also hope for bigger changes with it.

  • Magnetic Rugged Clear Case for all models

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Cover

In addition to this, Samsung will also sell anti-reflective screen protectors. While only the Ultra model may get the special anti-reflective Gorilla Armor glass, films will still be available for the other models.

The Dual Magnet Holder Ring is interesting because of the “dual” name. It’s unclear if it has two magnets itself or if it counts the phone’s built-in magnet as the second. No images are available yet, so we’ll have to wait for more details.

Aside from this, Samsung is also planning a Magnetic Wireless Battery Pack (model EB-U2500) with 5000 mAh capacity for wireless charging. A new 25-watt wireless charger (model EP-P2900) will also support faster wireless charging.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch at the end of February 2026. With new cases, faster wireless charging, and the S Pen for the Ultra, Samsung aims to make the Galaxy S26 series more powerful and stylish.

Leaked Samsung prototype shows a four camera TriFold phone

9 December 2025 at 18:14

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z TriFold is getting a lot of attention as it prepares for launch. The company is about to release its first tri-folding phone in South Korea, with a US release expected soon. But a surprising prototype with four cameras has now been spotted, which sparks new discussions among fans.

The Korean tech giant already announced that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will be available on December 12, 2025, in South Korea. As Samsung gets ready to introduce its first tri-folding smartphone, an unexpected twist has appeared.

A prototype of the Galaxy Z TriFold has surfaced in a LinkedIn post shared by Omar Saheb, VP of Marketing and E-commerce at Samsung Electronics MENA, which shows a four-camera setup. This has made people curious about what Samsung tested before finalizing the design.

Samsung Galaxy TriFold Prototype

Image via Linkedin

At first glance, the device looks like the official model, but the camera setup is different. Instead of three rear cameras, the prototype has four. The extra camera, placed at the bottom, is thinner than the other three, which suggests Samsung tried out different camera plans while designing the phone.

The official Galaxy Z TriFold reportedly comes with a strong 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, and a 10MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and OIS. The fourth camera seen in the prototype might have been a 50MP sensor with 5x optical zoom.

It’s normal for companies to try different ideas before deciding on the final design. This four-camera prototype was likely one of the many test versions created during development. Samsung may have chosen the three-camera setup to keep the design simpler.

If you have multiple Samsung devices, then you can easily see files from one device on the other with this new One UI 8.5 feature. Android could soon optimize your phone settings on public transit

6 December 2025 at 22:26

Google is testing a new Android feature that could make riding buses and trains easier. Right now, commuters often lower the volume, turn on Do Not Disturb, or change settings manually to avoid distractions.

Android phones can already detect when you are driving. They use motion sensors and Bluetooth to know you are in a car. Driving Mode then silences calls and notifications to help you stay focused.

Now, Google seems ready to do something similar for public transit. The new feature is called “Transiting Mode.” It could automatically adjust your phone settings when it detects you are on a bus or train.

Modes in Android let you set custom sound, notification, and display profiles. Some Modes turn on automatically, like Driving Mode, when certain motions are detected. Transiting Mode will likely work the same way.

In the Android test version, developers found a new option – While Transiting. When this is active, your phone could automatically lower volume, limit notifications, or change display settings like dark mode.

It may also work with Google’s upcoming Motion Cues feature. Motion Cues is designed to reduce motion sickness while traveling in moving vehicles. Together, these features could make commuting much more comfortable.

Transiting Mode is expected to appear in the Android 16 QPR3 update, possibly next March. Google has not confirmed the release yet, but more details should come when the beta version launches. Stay tuned for more information.

Shocking Rumor: Future phones may bring back microSD card support

6 December 2025 at 20:47

We are in December 2025, and a strange rumor is spreading about smartphones that can surprise many users. Some smartphone companies are reportedly thinking about bringing back the microSD card slot. This comes after years of removing it from most modern phones.

The reason behind this sudden change is rising memory prices. Internal storage has become more expensive because the cost of memory chips is going up fast. This makes higher-storage phones cost a lot more for users.

A well-known tipster, @Jukan05, shared that some smartphone manufacturers are discussing new ideas. They are looking for ways to help users save money on storage by considering expandable storage again with the SD card slot.

If the microSD slot returns, it will give users a cheaper option. Instead of buying a costly phone with large internal storage, people could simply add a microSD card. This makes storage upgrades easy and budget-friendly.

Smartphone SD card Leak

Image via Jukan (X)

The new information shows that manufacturers are also exploring a SIM and SD combo slot. This means one slot can hold both the SIM card and the microSD card, like older phones. This would not require changing the phone’s outer design or adding extra openings.

In the past, companies removed microSD slots to make phones slimmer, better performance, more water-resistant, and for other reasons. But now, the sharp rise in memory prices is making them reconsider. Bringing the slot back could help attract users who need more space.

Many people are wondering if this change could happen by 2026. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the idea is gaining attention. For now, it is only a rumor. But it has already created excitement among users who miss previous expandable storage phones. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung Clock app to get Now Bar and Live Activity support in One UI 8.5

6 December 2025 at 19:15

Samsung is currently working on its next major software update, One UI 8.5. Early test builds of this update have already started to show new features and improvements over the current version. Now, new information about One UI 8.5 has appeared, which reveals a fresh look at what’s coming to the Samsung Clock app.

According to the information via TarunVats, the early build of One UI 8.5 shows that the Samsung Clock app now supports Now Bar and Live Activity integration. This means the app can show real-time updates on your screen.

This integration makes the Samsung Clock app more useful and easier to access during daily tasks from the lock screen. Now, if you have a timer or alarm running, you may be able to see it live without opening the app.

The addition of Now Bar and Live Activity will improve the user experience. These features help users get quick information at a glance.

Samsung Clock Now Bar support

Earlier reports show that  One UI 8.5 will also bring a big redesign to the Samsung Clock app. The interface now looks more fancy and modern in both Light and Dark mode. Samsung has moved away from the old flat design and switched to a more elegant and polished look.

Samsung Clock app has also removed the old navigation bar. Instead, it now uses a floating menu. The text labels are gone, so users must rely on icons to switch between tabs. This new navigation bar appears as a small, hovering pill at the bottom of the screen.

With One UI 8.5, Samsung is reportedly improving both the look and the ease of use of its apps. The update will bring a fresh design and several handy features that make everyday use smoother. More details will be available soon. Stay tuned.

Samsung’s Korean Masterpieces presented in the US for the first time

6 December 2025 at 17:52

Samsung has helped bring an important Korean art exhibition to the US. The family of the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-Hee donated his huge art collection to Korea in 2021. This generous gift made it possible for many of these treasures to be shared with people around the world.

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art is now showing “Korean Treasures: Collected, Cherished, Shared.” It is the first large US exhibition of artworks from the Lee Kun-Hee Collection. The show is open through February 1, 2026.

Lee Kun-Hee spent more than 70 years collecting art. His collection includes over 23,000 pieces to make it one of the biggest and most important in Korea. The museum chose more than 200 artworks for this exhibition, which includes several National Treasures that are considered extremely valuable.

The exhibition is divided into 10 galleries and each focusing on a different aspect of Korean history and culture. Visitors can see the evolution of Korean art over 1,500 years, from ancient times to the present day.

One gallery features a sarangbang, a study used by scholars during the Joseon Dynasty. The exhibition hall contains simple wooden furniture, writing instruments, and books, differently illustrating the life and work of scholars.

There’s also a hall that focuses on court life, displaying palace paintings, exquisite ceramics, and objects used in important ceremonies. These exhibits showcase the luxury and splendor of Korean royal life.

A large part of the exhibition presents Buddhist art, which has played an important role in Korean culture. Visitors can see statues, religious objects, and bright altar paintings that were used in temples.

The exhibition also shows modern Korean artists who mix traditional styles with new ideas. Their works show how Korean art continued to grow and change in the modern era.

After Washington, the exhibition will travel to the Art Institute of Chicago in March 2026. A special book and an international symposium on Korean art will also be offered.

Samsung Galaxy S26 models to feature Exynos 2600 chipset in South Korea only

6 December 2025 at 01:51

Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra are the next Galaxy S series phones. A new leak has revealed some interesting details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series.

According to the latest information, Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus models may only feature the new Exynos 2600 chipset in South Korea. This could be good news for buyers in Samsung’s homeland, but it raises questions for other regions.

Samsung recently launched its Exynos 2600 chipset, which is expected to power some of its flagship Galaxy S26 devices. While the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip globally, it looks like only the South Korean variants of the S26 and S26+ will come with the Exynos 2600.

Samsung Exynos 2600 Processor

Source – Samsung YouTube

There are some reasons behind this decision. First, previous Exynos chips weren’t as fast or energy-efficient as Snapdragon processors, which made many customers and mobile carriers prefer Snapdragon. However, Samsung believes that the Exynos 2600 will fix these problems and offer better performance.

The production of the Exynos 2600 is another reason. The chip is made using new 2nm technology, but only about half of the chips are usable right now. This means Samsung can’t produce enough to sell in more regions.

And Samsung has a contract with Qualcomm that requires 75% of its Galaxy S series smartphones to use Snapdragon processors. If Samsung used Exynos 2600 in more than 25% of the Galaxy S26 units, it could violate this agreement.

It seems that only buyers in South Korea will get the Exynos-powered Galaxy S26 and S26+, while other regions will likely see Snapdragon versions of the device. Still, the details are not officially confirmed, so stay tuned for more information.

5 December 2025 at 23:13

Grok 4.20, a new AI model from Elon Musk’s xAI, has surprised many people by winning the Alpha Arena test. While other big AI models lost money or dropped in performance, Grok 4.20 stayed strong and kept making profits.

Elon Musk has now confirmed that the Mystery model was an early test version of the upcoming Grok 4.20 model. It was in first place on the leaderboard from start to finish.

The Alpha Arena is a tough test where AI models start with $10,000 and trade in real-world-like market conditions. Most AI models fail or lose money, but Grok 4.20 succeeded by making a 12.11% return over two weeks and even reaching a 50% gain in some cases.

Samsung Galaxy A-Series takes the spotlight in Q3 2025

5 December 2025 at 22:12

In Q3 2025, Samsung‘s latest Galaxy A series phone sold more than its flagship Galaxy S25 series globally. Samsung and Apple are currently the top smartphone makers, with each company selling five of the top 10 phones. But Q3 brought some interesting changes.

According to Counterpoints Research, Samsung’s Galaxy A36 was the most popular phone in the A series, reaching 7th place in global sales in Q3. Its sibling, the Galaxy A56, also made it into the top 10, coming in 8th. Other A-series phones, including Galaxy A16 5G, Galaxy 06, and Galaxy A16 4G, also made it into the top 10.

These mid-range phones are popular because they offer amazing features at a lower price. Samsung added new features like Awesome Intelligence, Best Face, and Nightography, which helped make these phones more appealing.

 Counterpoint Research Q3 2025

Image via Counterpoint

On the other side, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which was a top-seller in the first two quarters of 2025, did not make it into the top 10 in Q3. It shows that even expensive flagship phones can lose sales when mid-range phones give buyers more value.

Aside from this, Apple remained at the top, with the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max holding the first three spots globally. While Apple dominates flagship phones, Samsung’s Galaxy A series is attracting customers who want the latest features at an affordable price.

The sales of Samsung phones in Q3 2025 clearly show that people are buying more mid-range phones. Samsung’s Galaxy A series proves that mid-range smartphones can be very successful, even beating high-end models like the Galaxy S25 globally.

Leaked One UI 8.5 shows big changes for Samsung Galaxy S24 series

5 December 2025 at 20:34

Samsung is getting ready to roll out One UI 8.5, the next major update for its Galaxy devices. Now, a leaked version of Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S24 Ultra has revealed many new features and design updates.

In the early build version of the Galaxy S24 series, One UI 8.5 build shows a fresh look, smarter features, and more ways to personalize your phone. The Quick Settings panel has been completely redesigned. Brightness and volume sliders can now be vertical and resized.

You can move some toggles outside the main panel, and all options are grouped into categories, similar to the iPhone’s Control Center. This makes adjusting settings faster and easier.

Several Samsung apps have been updated. The Device Care app now looks cleaner, with bigger usage bars and smaller text. The Settings app has a search bar at the bottom instead of the top, and descriptions under each category are removed.

Samsung’s My Files app now has a horizontal layout for file categories, with downloads moved to its own section. The search bar floats at the bottom of the screen. The Phone app also gets a redesign, with floating pill-shaped buttons for the keypad, contacts, and recent calls, matching the overall style of the system.

The stock Camera app has been improved too. Options like video format and saving to external storage are easier to access. Pro photo and video modes now include a button that hides other UI elements, which lets you focus on the shot.

The lockscreen also gets smarter as it can detect faces or pets in a wallpaper and adjust the clock and widgets so the subject stays visible. These new improvements show that One UI 8.5 is shaping up to be a big update and looks more advanced than One UI 8. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra designs spotted in One UI 8.5

5 December 2025 at 18:37

Samsung has accidentally revealed the designs of its new Galaxy S26 series. The leak comes from the company’s own One UI 8.5 software. The images show the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

One UI 8.5 build software shows three device codenames – M1, M2, and M3. Reports say M1 and M2 are the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, while M3 is the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This matches previous leaks from trusted sources.

The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus have a triple-camera setup placed vertically inside a small camera island. The design of the phone is simple and clean, which is similar to recent Samsung phones. It also matches earlier renders shared by popular leaker OnLeaks.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra shows a larger camera island with three main cameras in a vertical line and two extra sensors beside them. This confirms earlier leaks and shows that Samsung is keeping the familiar Ultra look.

Moreover, the One UI 8.5 software hints at faster charging features. There are mentions of Super Fast Wireless Charging and Super Fast Charging 3.0. This suggests both wired and wireless charging might be faster in the new phones.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 series early next year. These software leaks give a good idea of the phones’ designs. Fans can now imagine the new Galaxy S26 lineup even before the official announcement. Stay tuned for more information.

One UI 8.5 code hints at new smart summary tool for My Files

5 December 2025 at 17:51

Samsung‘s One UI 8.5 is currently under development for Galaxy devices, and it will reportedly arrive with several new and improved features. New information reveals that Samsung is working on a helpful new feature for the My Files app in One UI 8.5 software.

In the early One UI 8.5 firmware, AssembleDebug found new code, which indicates that the My Files app will soon have a feature, Short summary. This new tool makes it easier to check what’s inside your documents.

When the feature is turned on, the app can automatically create quick summaries for PDF and TXT files. These summaries may appear right in the file list, which helps users understand what’s inside each file at a glance.

The leaked strings suggest that Samsung will include a toggle switch, so users can choose whether or not they want file summaries. The app also seems to avoid summarising documents with inappropriate content, which hints at built-in safety checks.

Samsung Apps

Samsung hasn’t mentioned AI directly, but the summarising files usually require some kind of AI processing. It is still unclear whether Samsung will generate these summaries on the device or through the cloud. At this point, we also don’t know if there will be limits on the size of the files that can be summarised.

It is worth noting that this summary feature was not included in the earlier leaked changelog for One UI 8.5. That means Samsung may still be developing or testing it.

Earlier reports suggest that One UI 8.5 beta could start as early as next week, so users might soon find out whether this new feature will show up in the first beta release. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold user manual surfaces online

5 December 2025 at 01:25

Samsung has announced its new foldable phone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, and a leaked user manual now reveals even more details about the device. The manual gives an early look at how the phone works, its features, and safety tips.

The leak comes from well-known tipster Evan Blass. He shared the 174-page user manual, which explains the basics of the Galaxy Z TriFold, including its apps, settings, and layout. It also has diagrams showing the phone in folded and unfolded states.

Obviously, the manual contains several important details about the phone. It shows a USB-C port in the unfolded view, which looks like a headphone jack but is not a 3.5mm headphone port. It also explains the phone’s special features, like Samsung DeX, which lets you use the phone like a small computer, and the multi-window view for using multiple apps at the same time.

There are also safety warnings in the manual. Samsung advises that people with medical implants avoid keeping the phone near their chest due to the magnets inside. It also warns against blocking the air vent holes, as this can cause unwanted noises during calls or media playback.

The leaked manual gives a detailed look at Samsung’s newest foldable device. Even though the Galaxy Z TriFold will not be available until December 12, 2025, in Korea, and early 2026 in the US, the manual shows what users can expect. You can check the full manual here.

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 to bring back popular notification management feature

5 December 2025 at 00:35

Samsung is currently preparing to release One UI 8.5, based on Android 16. The update will bring a fresh design, new features, and better ways to manage notifications. Now, new information reveals that One UI 8.5 will bring back a useful Samsung NotiStar feature.

In One UI 7, Samsung NotiStar allowed users to lock important notifications so they wouldn’t be accidentally cleared. It meant that even if you tapped “Clear all,” important alerts would stay visible. However, Samsung removed this feature in One UI 8, leaving many users disappointed.

Now, a Samsung community moderator has confirmed that the feature will come back in One UI 8.5. It means that users will once again be able to protect important notifications from being dismissed.

As One UI 8.5 is currently under development, and if you don’t want to wait, there is a temporary solution. For that, you have to open the Samsung NotiStar app >> tap the three dots menu >> and select Information >> repeatedly tap the name “Kwangho Kim” until a Test mode message appears. After that, the missing option will appear in the Labs section.

NotiStar is a popular Samsung’s Good Lock suite and works as a notification history manager. It lets users see notifications even after they are cleared from the regular panel. With the restored feature, NotiStar will be even more useful for keeping track of important alerts.

Aside from this NotiStar feature, the One UI 8.5 update will bring several new features and improvements. You can check the full leaked changelog here.

Samsung’s new Qi2 25W wireless charger hints at magnetic Galaxy S26

4 December 2025 at 23:46

Samsung is currently working to launch the next Galaxy S series, Galaxy S26 series, in 2026. The company is reportedly preparing a major upgrade for its wireless charging technology with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.

For years, Samsung has supported wireless charging, but it never fully adopted the newer Qi2 magnetic standard. Now, new information suggests that this is finally about to change. The upcoming Galaxy S26 phones are expected to include built-in magnets.

According to the latest information via WinFuture, Samsung is working on a new Qi2 wireless charging dock with support for 25W charging. The product appears under the model number EP-P2900, though no pictures have been revealed yet.

This charger would be Samsung’s first official 25W Qi2 accessory. It hints that the Galaxy S26 series will support stronger magnetic alignment, which is required for the newer Qi2.2 25W speeds.

Until now, Samsung has used a halfway approach. Instead of putting magnets inside the phones, Samsung released “Qi2 Ready” cases that added magnets externally. Because the phones lacked built-in magnetic alignment, Samsung’s Qi2 chargers were limited to 15W, which was the maximum allowed by the older Qi2 version.

Rumors say Samsung may offer different Qi2 charging speeds across the S26 lineup. The Galaxy S26 Ultra might support the full 25W, while the Galaxy S26 and S26+ could be limited to around 20W.

If all these reports are accurate, the Galaxy S26 series will bring a more modern and dependable wireless charging experience. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung Calculator to get a glow-up in One UI 8.5

4 December 2025 at 18:11

Samsung is preparing a new software update, One UI 8.5, and it introduces some welcome improvements to the Calculator app. The design now looks more polished, with buttons that feel smoother and more responsive. The update also adds a smart tool that helps you work faster with copied data.

According to the latest information, the biggest visual change in the new One UI 8.5 beta is the depth effect added to the main Calculator buttons. The number keys and math operators now have a soft shadow, which makes them look slightly raised and easier to notice. Buttons for switching modes, opening the unit converter, or checking history remain simple without the shadow.

Another new touch is the glow effect when you press a button. As soon as you tap a key, a gentle glow appears around it. The colour of this glow changes based on the mode you’re using and whether your phone is in light mode or dark mode. This glow also appears in Scientific mode and Unit Converter mode, giving the app a more lively and modern feel.

One UI 8.5 also introduces a helpful feature called Nudges. If you copy a number or a formula on your device, the Calculator will automatically show it as a suggestion. With one tap, you can insert it into the Calculator without typing anything.

Even though the app is getting these improvements, Samsung still hasn’t added a currency converter, a feature users have been requesting for years. It remains the one big missing tool in the Calculator.

One UI 8.5 update gives the Calculator a fresher look and adds a smart feature that makes calculations easier. It helps users work more smoothly in their daily tasks. Stay tuned for more information.
