Samsung and Tesla aim to finish AI chip design this year

Tesla and Samsung are working together to build a new and powerful AI chip. This chip is very important for Tesla’s future plans, mainly for self-driving cars and robots. Now, there is news that the design of this chip could be finished this year. This shows that the project is moving ahead smoothly and quickly.

Elon Musk shared that the AI6 chip might reach a stage, tape-out, by December this year. Tape-out simply means the design work is complete and the chip is ready to be made in factories. It is a big step because it turns an idea into a real product.

Samsung is playing an important role in this project. As a well-known chip maker, Samsung will help produce the chip once the design is ready. This partnership is important because Tesla needs strong support to build such advanced technology in large numbers.

Elon Musk AI6 development

The AI6 chip is expected to be very powerful. It will help Tesla cars understand roads better, detect objects faster, and make quick decisions. This can make driving safer and more reliable.

If the chip design is completed this year, it will be a big achievement for both companies. It will also show how fast AI technology is growing. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung increases HBM4 supply to NVIDIA amid AI demand surge

Samsung is becoming a leader in making advanced memory chips for artificial intelligence (AI), mainly with its new HBM4 technology. At the GTC 2026 event, Samsung said it will supply a large number of these chips to NVIDIA.

These HBM4 chips are very fast and can reach speeds of 13Gbps, which is higher than what NVIDIA actually needs. Samsung also shared that all of its HBM4 chips are high-performance, giving it a strong advantage in the market.

A big reason for Samsung’s success is a part called the base die. This is like the brain of the chip, as it controls both speed and power usage. Samsung uses a modern 4nm process to make this part, which helps the chip run faster while using less power.

It also improves stability, so the chip can work smoothly even during heavy tasks. This is important because AI systems need strong performance but must also control heat and energy use.

Samsung is also preparing for the future. It is working on the next version called HBM4E, which is expected to be even faster, reaching 16Gbps. This is about 23% faster than the current HBM4 chips, but it will still use the same amount of power. This means better performance without extra energy use.

In the coming years, Samsung plans to use an even more advanced 2nm process to make its chips even better. Samsung is focusing on speed, efficiency, and large production, which is helping it stay ahead in the fast-growing AI chip market.

New court filing reveals Pentagon told Anthropic the two sides were nearly aligned — a week after Trump declared the relationship kaput

Anthropic submitted two sworn declarations to a California federal court late Friday afternoon, pushing back on the Pentagon's assertion that the AI company poses an "unacceptable risk to national security" and arguing that the government's case relies on technical misunderstandings and claims that were never actually raised during the months of negotiations.

What happened at Nvidia GTC: NemoClaw, Robot Olaf, and a $1 trillion bet

CEO Jensen Huang took the stage at Nvidia’s GTC conference this week in his signature leather jacket to deliver a two-and-a-half-hour keynote, projecting $1 trillion in AI chip sales through 2027, declaring that every company needs an “OpenClaw strategy,” and closing with a rambling Olaf robot that had to get its mic cut. ONE Friday Fights 147 Main Event Result: Asadula Imangazaliev Puts Nong-O Away To Stay Unbeaten

Asadula “The Dagestan Ninja” Imangazaliev produced the most electrifying performance of his career, knocking out living legend Nong-O Hama at 0:44 of round two in the main event at ONE Friday Fights 147, live in Asia primetime, on March 20 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

But the 22-year-old Russian was denied the vacant ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship after failing his hydration test at the pre-event weigh-ins.

Imangazaliev set the tone from the opening bell. “The Dagestan Ninja” opened with an immediate push kick to the face of the eight-time ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion, a statement of intent that made clear he had no intention of being overawed by the occasion.

Nong-O, the 39-year-old Thai legend, adapted quickly, moving in and out of the pocket to avoid his opponent’s unorthodox attacks while landing right body kicks at will to build his own rhythm. But the second round ended in a flash.

The two traded on the outside until Nong-O attempted to land a straight right to the body. Imangazaliev read it perfectly, stepped back, and fired a left hook to the head, right hook to the body, and left hook back to the head in a seamless combination that put the legend out before he even hit the canvas.

The referee waved it off immediately, which improved the knockout machine’s overall record to 12-0 and 8-0 in ONE Championship. His seventh highlight-reel finish on the global stage cemented him as the most dangerous man in the flyweight Muay Thai division.

Although the divisional gold remains vacant, Imangazaliev, in his post-fight interview, entertained the idea of battling former divisional king Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon for the crown.

Samsung is about to land massive AI memory deals with Google and Microsoft

Samsung is pushing long-term AI memory deals with Google and Microsoft. The structure is apparently closer to a purchase guarantee than a handshake.

Dr. Young Hyun Jun told shareholders they’re looking at three to five-year commitments, and according to one industry source, Microsoft alone could be on the hook for over $10 billion in upfront payments.

If they don’t take the volumes they promised, Samsung deducts from that deposit, as per the EBN report (via Jukan). Prices still float with spot rates, but the volumes are locked, and it’s a flip from where things stood in January.

Just a couple of months back, Samsung and SK Hynix were trying to jack server DRAM prices up 60 to 70 percent, and both Microsoft and Google told them to get lost. Wouldn’t lock into anything beyond a quarter.

Samsung apparently expects the memory shortages to end by 2028, which means they’re trying to lock in pricing and volume now. Jun said this kind of supply stability helps both sides, which is technically true.

Earlier, Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Jun Young-hyun stated at a shareholders’ meeting, “It is very important for the semiconductor division to minimize mid- to long-term uncertainties and maintain a healthy balance of memory supply and demand. Through multi-year contracts, long-term supply can enhance business stability and visibility for both customers and us.”

ChatGPT is getting a Samsung upgrade thanks to this HBM4 deal

OpenAI just picked Samsung to be the only supplier of HBM4 for their first homegrown AI chip, codenamed Titan. It’s not a huge volume win yet, but this ChatGPT Samsung HBM4 supply deal matters more for what it signals.

Samsung’s been behind SK Hynix in the HBM race for two years straight. Their HBM3E stumbled through NVIDIA’s quality tests, while rivals continued to secure orders. But now they’ve clawed back a win that actually matters.

OpenAI plans to launch a self-developed AI chip, codenamed “Titan,” by the end of 2026, using TSMC’s N3 process. Samsung is getting a chunk of over 5.5 billion gigabits of HBM4 production, making it the third largest deal after NVIDIA and AMD.

Lee Jae-yong met Sam Altman in October and signed a letter of intent. OpenAI gets guaranteed access to next-gen memory, whereas Samsung gets validation that its redesigned tech works.

Titan’s being built for inference workloads, not training. OpenAI is at a scale that almost requires it to co-design its own hardware to better match its own software and also reduce its costs.

The OpenAI deal gives Samsung a customer that doesn’t care about NVIDIA’s approval stamp. It validates that their redesign worked. If Titan Gen 2 and Gen 3 stick with Samsung memory, this becomes a multi-year revenue stream.

‘I Won’t Let It Slip Away’ – Yonis Anane To Showcase Killer Instinct Against Zhao Zhengdong At ONE Friday Fights 147

Yonis Anane is ready to forge his own identity in the world’s largest martial arts organization.  A statement finish at ONE Friday Fights 147 is his first step out from behind the shadow of his older brother, reigning ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane.

The 18-year-old phenom is set to return to action against China’s Zhao Zhengdong in a strawweight Muay Thai bout this Friday, live in Asia primetime on March 20 from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Entering the global stage carrying the family name was never going to be simple for the young Anane. While his older brother had set an impossibly high bar, the teenage prodigy rose to meet it.

Armed with long-range striking, composed footwork, and technical patience beyond his years, Anane won his first three bouts in ONE. His most recent — a clinical unanimous decision over Riamu Matsumoto at ONE Friday Fights 142 last February — only reinforced the belief that something special is brewing.

Yet his impressive 48-8 record tells only part of the story. For all the control and pressure Anane has imposed in the ONE ring, a definitive finish on the global stage has eluded him.

The WBC Muay Thai World Champion said:

“For that fight with Riamu, I came in with a specific game plan to dominate him, and everything went exactly as planned.

“I saw the openings and had several chances to finish the fight, but unfortunately, I couldn’t close the deal. I have to admit, Riamu is incredibly tough. Plus, my strikes lacked stopping power, which is why I couldn’t put him away.”

His next challenge, however, will demand more of him than anyone he has faced. Zhao wasted no time making his mark, stopping Keisuke Monguchi by TKO in his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 139. The Chinese striker carries dangerous hands and sharp footwork into this matchup.

Rather than shy away from the challenge, Anane has leaned into it. Back at Team Mehdi Zatout’s base in Pattaya, he has spent this camp transforming precision into power.

The Algerian-French fighter said:

“Looking back at my last three outings, I feel like I’m constantly evolving, especially in adjusting to the small gloves. My timing is getting sharper, and I can handle the impact much better now. I know I can go much further.

“The main thing I’ve been grinding on is my finishing ability. I’ve gone back to fix that, focusing on making my strikes both heavier and more precise for this upcoming fight.”

Grinding out decisions is no longer enough for Anane. He wants to leave his mark in the most emphatic way possible, and against Zhao, he is ready to put his full arsenal on display.

This time, he is not leaving anything on the table.

Anane declared:

“I’m determined to get my first knockout win to make up for the last fight. I’ve prepped some heavy weapons for both long range and the inside.

“I promise if I get the chance to finish him, I won’t let it slip away again. I want to prove to everyone that I’ve got that finisher mentality too.”

Anane Ready To Make It A Family Night To Remember

Sharing Lumpinee Stadium with his older brother was an opportunity Yonis Anane had to seize.

Before Yonis makes his walk to the ONE ring, Nabil Anane will defend his ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title against Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon in the headline attraction of The Inner Circle Superfan Club Fights earlier in the evening.

For Yonis, the occasion adds fuel to an already burning fire.

The 18-year-old striker said:

“I’m so happy. This is the second time we are fighting on the same card. Having the whole team there made it an easy decision to take this fight.

“I’m confident we’re going to sweep the board. There’s a good chance we can finish our fights early because we’ve all been training like beasts.”

His older sibling’s success at the summit of the sport is the greatest motivation Anane could ask for.

Even while the reigning champion is preparing for a World Title defense, Nabil has found time to pass on the lessons that matter most to his younger brother.

On Friday, the younger Anane has every intention of repaying that guidance with the best performance of his life.

The Team Mehdi Zatout standout said:

“Nabil kept emphasizing the finish. He told me if the chance comes again, I have to take it, because that was the only thing missing from my last performance. He thinks I’m doing great in every other area, so I’ve been adding more power to my strikes to fix that one missing piece.

“He is already proud of me for making the move to this promotion and performing well in my first three fights. But getting a knockout would definitely make him even prouder.”

Samsung commits historic $74 billion for AI chips, Texas factory

Samsung announced an investment of over 110 trillion won, roughly $74 billion in AI chips, Texas semiconductor factory expansion, and R&D in 2026.

That’s meant to secure leadership in the AI semiconductor era, according to the company’s corporate value enhancement strategy disclosed on March 19th.

Samsung thinks this is the moment to go all in on AI chips. The Taylor, Texas Foundry is expected to reach mass production sometime in 2027, which means most of the equipment installs and process work have to be wrapped up this year if that timeline stays remotely intact.

On the memory side, HBM4 is now in mass production, delivering speeds of 11.7 gigabits per second that exceed the industry standard of 8GB, while the company’s already pushing HBM4E and HBM5 development simultaneously.

Samsung posted 20 trillion won in operating profit in the fourth quarter of last year, and brokerages have forecast annual operating profit exceeding 130 trillion won this year, so this $74 billion isn’t a gamble.

It’s Samsung doubling down at the exact moment the memory supercycle and the foundry recovery overlap. The company’s betting it can convert HBM momentum and the Taylor ramp into sustained dominance before the window closes.

Last year Samsung spent 90 trillion won total, which was already a company record. This year’s number shatters that by more than 20 trillion won. It’s also the fattest single year inside the company’s already massive five year, 450 trillion won investment roadmap.

Google may refresh Circle to Search with a colorful twist

Google may soon update the look of its Circle to Search feature. This change is only about design, not new functions. The aim is to make the feature look more colorful and modern while keeping it simple to use.

Currently, when you use Circle to Search, you draw a circle or line on your screen, and a white outline shows exactly what you selected. There is also a very light colorful trail, but most people hardly notice it because the white line stands out more.

In a new beta version of the Google app, Google is testing a different look spotted by Android Authority. Instead of the white outline, the feature shows a bright, colorful gradient trail when you circle something. This trail uses colors similar to Google’s logo, which makes the experience feel more lively and Google-like.

Circle to Search Colorful Makeover

Image via Android Authority

There is no change in how Circle to Search works. Users can still circle, tap, or draw on the screen to search as usual. The update only improves the visual experience. The new animation looks smoother and more fun. Even though it is a small change, it can make the feature more enjoyable to use.

Since this update was found in a beta version, it is still under testing. Google has not confirmed if or when it will be released to all users. It is also not clear if users will get an option to choose between the old and new designs. Stay tuned for more information.

NVIDIA’s CEO Just Described the World’s Most Expensive “Five-Layer Cake”, and It’ll Cost Trillions to Bake

NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang

NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, has posted a rather interesting blog post about the state of the AI industry from a much broader perspective, and he has summarized it in a "five-layer" cake. Jensen Has Basically Summed Up AI Into a Five-Layer Cake, Claiming that the Opportunity Still Hasn't Been Realized There is no doubt that Team Green is one of the biggest catalysts of the ongoing AI infrastructure buildout, given that the company not only provides essential compute resources but also several other utilities to the world that we'll discuss ahead. As we move towards GTC 2026, NVIDIA's CEO recently […]

OpenAI to acquire AI security startup Promptfoo

OpenAI has announced its plans to acquire Promptfoo, an established AI security platform widely used by enterprises to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in AI systems during development. The company confirmed that once the acquisition is finalized, Promptfoo’s technology will be integrated directly into OpenAI Frontier, the platform designed for building and operating AI coworkers. The move reflects OpenAI’s growing focus on strengthening evaluation, security, and compliance capabilities as enterprises increasingly deploy AI agents into real‑world workflows.

According to OpenAI, organizations adopting AI coworkers require systematic methods to test agent behavior, detect risks before deployment, and maintain transparent records to support oversight and governance. Promptfoo, led by co‑founders Ian Webster and Michael D’Angelo, has built a suite of tools trusted by more than a quarter of Fortune 500 companies. Its open‑source CLI and library for evaluating and red‑teaming large language model applications have become widely used across the industry. OpenAI stated that it will continue supporting the open‑source project while expanding enterprise‑grade capabilities within Frontier.

Srinivas Narayanan, CTO of B2B Applications at OpenAI, said the acquisition brings deep engineering expertise in evaluating and securing AI systems at scale. He noted that Promptfoo’s work enables businesses to deploy secure and reliable AI applications, and integrating these capabilities into Frontier will strengthen the platform’s native security features. OpenAI highlighted that the integration will introduce automated security testing and red‑teaming directly into Frontier, enabling enterprises to identify risks such as prompt injections, jailbreaks, data leaks, tool misuse, and out‑of‑policy agent behaviors.

The company also emphasized that security and evaluation will be embedded into development workflows, allowing teams to identify, investigate, and remediate risks earlier in the lifecycle. Enhanced reporting and traceability will support governance, risk management, and compliance requirements as AI oversight expectations continue to rise globally.

Promptfoo CEO Ian Webster said the company was founded to give developers practical tools to secure AI systems, noting that the increasing connectivity of AI agents to real data and systems makes validation more critical than ever. He added that joining OpenAI will accelerate efforts to deliver stronger security, safety, and governance capabilities for teams building real‑world AI applications. The acquisition remains subject to customary closing conditions.
