- Guenther Steiner rules out Kimi Antonelli in 2026 F1 title fight despite China win
Guenther Steiner rules out Kimi Antonelli in 2026 F1 title fight despite China win

Guenther Steiner has shot down claims that Kimi Antonelli could fight for the Formula 1 drivers' championship in 2026.
After two rounds of the 2026 season, the Italian driver sits second in the standings behind his Mercedes team-mate George Russell. Antonelli secured his maiden F1 victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, leading many to argue that the 19-year-old could fight for the championship this year.
While Steiner agreed that the milestone moment would have given Antonelli "a lot of confidence", he argued that under normal circumstances, he would struggle to beat Russell. During qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix, the Briton ran into issues.
"Definitely damage limitation," Russell said after securing P2 on the starting grid. "In Q2 the front wing broke – we were wrapping our heads around that – and then obviously went out in Q3 on track, the car wasn’t restarting, couldn’t change gear."
Steiner said of Antonelli's victory on The Red Flags Podcast: "I think it gives him a lot of confidence because there was an opportunity for him, because under normal circumstances, at the moment, to beat George it's very difficult.
"And I think he's aware of it, not because he's a better driver - George has got a lot more experience. He's doing this a lot younger and is very quick as well, but as soon as George couldn't [maximise] qualifying, he took the opportunity and kept it.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes

"He didn't make a mistake. He sees that and says, 'Actually, I can do this', and that will help him going forward. He didn't do anything wrong. It would be easy to do something wrong when you are in that position. He kept his cool."
When asked if Antonelli could fight Russell for the championship, the former Haas team principal added, "No. If something special happens, like it happened in China in qualifying. And the good thing is he took it there, but under normal circumstances... I think it is also understandable why not.
"The kid is 19 years old, second year in Formula 1, and George is a good race car driver. So I don't think he can do it this year, but there are other opportunities for Kimi. If he doesn't win it this year, he can win it another time because he's so young. For me, he doesn't have to put too much pressure on himself to win it this year. He has got a good future in front of him."

- Mercedes names Bradley Lord as deputy F1 team principal
Mercedes names Bradley Lord as deputy F1 team principal

Mercedes has appointed Bradley Lord as its deputy team principal to support Toto Wolff in the management of the Formula 1 team.
Lord joined the Mercedes F1 team in 2013 as communications manager and most recently worked as team representative and chief communications officer for the Brackley squad.
During his 13-year stint with the team, Lord's responsibilities have increased, according to a statement shared by Mercedes. As such, he has now been named deputy team principal to ‘formalise responsibilities that have grown organically over recent years,’ the team explained.
The move will not impact the responsibilities Wolff holds at the head of the team, and will instead see Lord take on more of a supporting position at the championship-winning side.
"With the growth of our team and F1, the scope of our operations and associated responsibilities at a senior level has grown significantly,” explained Wolff in the statement. “We have therefore taken this opportunity to put in place a change that has effectively been operating in practice for some time.
“While my role and overall responsibilities will not change one millimetre, Bradley’s work as deputy team principal will further enhance the capability of our leadership group and provide continued support for me as our team principal and CEO.
“Bradley is a dedicated and long-serving member of our organisation who has played an important part in the team becoming the most successful of the modern era. Aligning our structure in this way ensures our leadership group can focus fully on the areas where they can add the greatest value and is optimised to meet the demands of a rapidly growing sport.”
Read Also:Lord will step into the role of deputy team principal with immediate effect.
Mercedes was not the first F1 team that Lord worked with, having gotten his start in the series as a press office intern with Benetton back in 2001. He then held various positions in media and communications, including with the Renault F1 Team and Mercedes parent company Daimler AG.

Red Sox infielder to begin season on IL, miss Opening Day: report
Triston Casas’ long road back to the major leagues from a fluke injury last year will extend a little longer.
According to Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic, Casas is still not ready to play spring training games, and he’ll likely keep rehabbing his knee into April.

While the Red Sox return to Boston in a matter of days — Opening Day is March 26 against the Reds in Cincinnati — Casas will either remain in Florida at extended spring training or meet with a Red Sox affiliate’s medical staff before playing in games.
“I don’t have a plan to start Opening Day with an affiliate,” Casas said, according to McCaffrey. “I haven’t discussed with the team if they want me to continue rehab at a facility up north at an affiliate. We haven’t discussed where I’ll be in April, but we’re taking it week by week.”
Casas ruptured his patellar tendon last May running out a ground ball in a game against the Minnesota Twins. The injury not only required season-ending surgery, it set in motion a chain of events that led the Red Sox to trade star infielder Rafael Devers to San Francisco.
Casas, 26, is a career .241/.348/.452 hitter across four MLB seasons (2022-25) with the Red Sox.

- How Red Sox's Roman Anthony Discussed World Baseball Classic Experience
How Red Sox's Roman Anthony Discussed World Baseball Classic Experience

How Red Sox's Roman Anthony Discussed World Baseball Classic Experience originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Roman Anthony played high-stakes baseball before the Boston Red Sox begin their 2026 season next week.
At the encouragement of former Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman, Team USA added Anthony to the World Baseball Classic roster as a late injury replacement for Corbin Carroll. The team's youngest player delivered on the grand stage by batting .280/.400/.520 with two home runs, including the game-winning solo shot in Sunday's semifinal win over the Dominican Republic.
Now back with the Red Sox to finish spring training, Anthony reflected on his WBC experience. The 21-year-old explained, courtesy of NESN's X account, why it was "100 percent" the most impactful moment of his young career after an oblique injury cost him a chance to play last postseason.
"Playing in this environment this early in the year, and getting to experience that before my first full season," Anthony said. "Getting to be around the knowledge of not only the players, but the former players, the coaching staff, just the people you come across every single day. Getting to sit in the cage and talk hitting to guys like Ken Griffey and the guys that come across that clubhouse, it was an unbelievable experience."
Anthony spent the tournament as Team USA's starting left fielder. He went yard in a pool play victory over a Team Mexico squad led by Red Sox teammate Jarren Duran before watching Wilyer Abreu homer in Venezuela's championship win over the U.S.
After going hitless in Tuesday's 3-2 loss, Anthony intends to take lessons learned from the WBC with him into the Red Sox's 2026 campaign. His power display could bode well for a breakout.
"I'm just super glad that I got to take all that in. Kind of just take it here now and apply it to my game," Anthony said. "Again, I think playing in front of that atmosphere for someone like myself who hasn't experienced a postseason game ... you couldn't ask for more."

Yevlaxda “Karvan-Yevlax”a qarşı oynamaq çətindir.
– “Zirə” əvvəlki mövsümlərdə autsayderlərlə oyunlarda xal itirmirdi, bu mövsüm isə çətinlik çəkir. Səbəbi nədir?
– Arxayınlıq deməzdim. İki dəfə “İmişli” ilə, bir dəfə “Kəpəz”lə, bir dəfə də “Şamaxı” ilə matçda xal itirmişik. “Şamaxı”nı zəif komanda kimi görmürəm.
– Təbii olaraq. Bunu gözləyirdik. Qış fasiləsində futbolçularımıza demişdik ki, avrokuboklara vəsiqə qazanmaq asan olmayacaq. Futbolçuları buna hazırlayırdıq. Hər oyun vacibdir. Kimin harada xal itirəcəyi bilinmir. Yarış bu şəkildə gedəcək. Dünən “Araz-Naxçıvan”ın oyunu ağır keçdi, xarakter göstərib, qələbə qazandılar. Bu gün də bizimçün ağır keçdi. Xal itirə bilərdik.
– “Zirə” 4-cü yeri tutmasa, necə dəyərləndirəcəksiz?
Məsələn, “Kəpəz”lə oyunda qolları standart vəziyyətlərdən buraxdıq.
– Növbəti oyun “Turan Tovuz”a qarşı səfərdə olacaq.
– Milli fasilə xeyrinizədir?
– Qələbə qazandıqdan sonra təbii olaraq fasilə istəmirsən. Sadəcə olaraq zədədən dönən futbolçularımız var. Qismət bu gün tam hazır deyildi, amma oynadı Bu baxımdan bəlkə faydası ola bilər. Digər tərəfdən bir neçə futbolçumuz milli komandalara gedəcək. Necə təsir edəcəyini zaman göstərəcək. Fasilədən dərhal sonra kubokun yarımfinal oyununun olması bir az narahatlıq yaradır. Çalışacağıq ki, həmin matça ən yaxşı formada hazır olaq. Qısa müddətdə bir neçə oyunumuz olacaq. Təqvimə baxanda qorxulu yuxuya bənzəyir.
– Rəqibin qolunda dərhal dördüncü hakimə etiraz etdiz.
Əvvəl Hakimlər Komitəsinin sədri əcnəbi idi. Sədr elə şərhlər verir ki, hakimləri qorusun. VAR-a baxılan 4 dəqiqədə çox stress yaşadım. Düşünürdüm ki, oyunu dəyişmək çətin olar. Planlar qurmuşdum əvəzləmələrlə bağlı. Bizə köməklik edilir demək düz olmaz. 6 ildir, komandadayam. Bizim xeyrimizə verilən qərarların 1-2-si müzakirə edilə bilər. Amma bizə qarşı səhvlərdən 6 saatlıq videorolik hazırlamaq olar.
– Sizcə, Rəhim Həsənovun şərhlərinə ehtiyac var?
Sabah mən 5 il işləyə bilmərəm… Sirr nədir? Bizim klub rəhbərləri əcnəbilərə üstünlük verir. Məsələ budur. Kim kimdənsə üstün və ya zəifdir yox. İllərboyu bizdə əcnəbilərə sevgi çox olub. Yerliləri nə vaxt gətiriblər? Kimin büdcəsi az olub, gətirib ki, nəsə et. İmkanları yüksək olan klub rəhbərləri əcnəbilərə üstünlük verib. 20 ildir, futbolumuzda var. Gördülər ki, əcnəbilər tənqid edilir, yerlilərə üz tutdular. Yenə tendensiya dəyişmək üstündür. Səbəbi nədir, bilmirəm. Bunu klub rəhbərləri bilər. Samir Abasov “Neftçi” ilə çempion olub. Elmar Baxşıyev “Qəbələ” ilə kubok qazanıb. Sənan Qurbanov iki dəfə kubok udub. Ani sual verdiniz, gərək saatlarla danışaq. Yerli məşqçilər əcnəbilərdən geri qalmır. Milli komandaya yerli gəldi, qısa müddətdə fərqi gördünüz. Futbolçu da olmuşam, məşqçi də. Futbolumuzda ən çox inkişaf edən məşqçi mövqeyidir. Yerli oyunçumuz hansısa türk ulduzla mübarizə apara bilməz bəlkə də, amma məşqçilərimiz onların mütəxəssisləriylə başabaş gələ bilər.
– Ölkə futbolunda Qriqorçukdan başqa böyük uğuru olan əcnəbi olmayıb. Maraqlıdır, bəs niyə əcnəbilərə çox güvənirlər? Məşqçiləri, futbolçuları dəyişirik, amma rəhbərlik qalır. Bəlkə, doğrudan problem rəhbərlərlə bağlıdır?
– Murad Musayev, Kaxaber Sxadadzeni də danışmaq olar. Lakin son dönəmlərdə yerli məşqçilərin nailiyyətləri var. Bu günün söhbəti deyil. Uzun illərboyu legioner hakim gətirildi, əcnəbi baş məşqçi gətirildi, futbolçular gətirildi. Amma bir dəfə millini idarə etməyə əcnəbi gətirilmədi. Bütün mövqelərə əcnəbi təyin olundu, amma əsas idarəedici adam əcnəbi olmadı. Bu tendensiya illərdir, davam etdi. Bu təfəkkür bizdə həmişə olub. Əcnəbi, əcnəbi… Məndən yaxşıdırsa, olsun. Məsələn, bu il Dambrauskas, Vernidub, Berdıyev kimi məşqçilər var. Onların bizim çempionatda olmasına sevinirəm. Faydaları olacaq. Lakin illərlə o qədər faydasız əcnəbilər gəlib ki… Həmişə də tənqid olunan yerli məşqçi, futbolçulardır.

Greece February 2026: Citroen C3 repeats at #1
The Citroen C3 is the most popular vehicle in Greece again.
After losing -5.4% in January, the Greek new car market returns to positive territory in February at +2% to 10,015 units. The year-to-date total is now down -1.8% to 20,102. Toyota (-3.7%) remains by far the dominant force in the brands ranking with 14.7% share and despite a small year-on-year decline. In contrast Citroen (+84.8%) surges ahead and is up two spots on January to a fantastic 2nd place. Peugeot (-33.3%) struggles year-on-year but still manages a strong third position. Opel (+17.7%) and BMW (+10.3%) round out the Top 5 in dynamic fashion. Dacia (+266.7%) and Renault (+583.5%) compensate for particularly low year-ago volumes, with BYD (+26.2%) manages its best banking since December 2024 at #11. All-in-all, Chinese manufacturers hold 8.4% share in February, down from 10.4% in January and 13.3% in December which was boosted by a year-end registration push by importers.
Model-wise, the Citroen C3 (+50.3%) has found its groove and repeats at #1 with an improved 6% share. This is well above the Opel Corsa (-4.2%) and Toyota Yaris Cross (+2.5%) which was leader over the Full Year 2025. The Renault Clio (+1627.3%) and Dacia Sandero (+695.6%) soar on paltry year-ago results, wit the BMW 1 Series (+113.6%) and Toyota C-HR (+46.1%) also very strong. The new Chery Tiggo 4 is the best-selling Chinese nameplate in the country again at #15, distancing the BYD Seal U (#28) and MG ZS Max (#30).

BAIC sales are up 410.6% year-on-year in February.

Volkswagen (-21.5%) is in drab shape but repeats at #2 with 14.9% share, while Fiat (-17.7%) is #2 at 13% of the market. Leader over the Full Year 2025, Toyota (-26.9%) implodes to #3. In fact the entire Top 8 is unchanged on last month, with Ford (+55.9%) and Chevrolet (+10.1%) the only carmakers in positive just as Citroen (-29.8%), Renault (-28.9%) and Peugeot (-24.7%) struggle.
As it is the case in more and more countries around the world, Chinese carmakers are the most dynamic here. Newcomers BYD (#11) and MG (#21) progress, while BAIC is up 410.6%, Chery up 632.7%, Haval up 407%, Jetour up 922%, Changan up 5550%, Foton up 203.2%, JAC up 123.1% and DFSK up 72%… All in all, the Chinese are up a whopping 635.6% year-on-year and go from 1% share in February 2025 to 7.5% now.
Over in the models charts, the Toyota Hilux (-10.9%) remains dominant at 5.6% share ahead of two freefalling nameplates: the Fiat Cronos (-32.8%) and Peugeot 208 (-34.1%). Boosted by a new generation, the Ford Territory (+222.9%) threepeats at a record 4th place. The Ford Ranger (-21.2%) rounds out the Top 5 like it did last month. Once again the best-selling recent launch, the VW Tera repeats at #6 and remains the brand’s best-seller in Argentina. The VW Amarok (-45.6%) completes a Top 7 identical to last month.
Previous month: Argentina January 2026: Ford Territory repeats at record #4

The VinFast VF 3 is the best-selling vehicle in Vietnam in February.
New light vehicle sales in Vietnam drop -13.1% year-on-year in February to 32,261due to the Lunar New Year negatively impacting the number of opening days. Thaco-Kia (-21.1%) struggles but repeats at #3 ahead of Hyundai (+1.9%) and Ford (-10.3%).
Over in the models charts, the VinFast (-56.3%) is back to the #1 spot it held over the Full Year 2025 despite collapsing year-on-year. #1 last month and YTD, the VinFast Limo Green holds 5.6% share. Our Own Testing Shows A Laptop RTX 4090 Is 63% Faster In Average FPS Than M5 Max MacBook Pro With A 40-Core GPU In Cyberpunk 2077
The first batch of gaming benchmarks to test Apple’s latest and greatest M5 Max is here, and what better way to kick things off than to fire up Cyberpunk 2077, which is a title that has been ported to the macOS platform. Even though the technology giant has switched to a superior Fusion Architecture for both the M5 Pro and M5 Max, the maximum GPU core count is limited to 40. While we should still witness a slight framerate boost, what’s disappointing to see is that our laptop RTX 4090 ends up being 63 percent faster. Newest Cyberpunk 2077 benchmark comparison also […]

M5 Pro Is Just A Hairline Slower Than The M5 Max & M3 Ultra In New Multi-Core Comparison, Beats M4 Max To Become Apple’s ‘Price To Performance’ SoC
Apple’s M5 Max delivered some decent performance gains over the M4 Max in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core results, with the most impressive feat for the 18-core CPU configuration being that it beat the top-end M3 Ultra in both tests. Now, it is time to look at the technology giant’s ‘middle of the pack’ SoC, the M5 Pro, and according to the latest single-threaded and multi-threaded benchmarks, it nearly matches its powerful brother while trading blows with Apple’s current-generation workstation-class SoC.
