The all-electric series predicts it will deliver 600kW of power - over 800hp - marking a substantial increase over current cars, with the Gen3 Evo peaking at 350kW (469hp).
The Gen4 package will also introduce permanent four-wheel drive, where the system is only activated in qualifying duels, at the start, and in attack mode.
It will additionally feature two aerodynamic configurations - a high-downforce spec for qualifying and a low-downforce alternative designed for race running - and the car itself will be noticeably larger and wider than its predecessor.
Together, these changes support one of Formula E’s long-standing ambitions: establishing a world-class motorsport platform capable of competing with Formula 1.
Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds told Motorsport.com: “The jump we’re making with Gen4 over Gen3 is bigger than any single jump we’ve ever made in a generation. All-wheel drive, 71% more power, about 10 seconds a lap faster than the current Gen3 car. So there’s no question it shuts the gap right down on Formula 1.
F1 Dutch Grand Prix
F1 Dutch Grand Prix
“And actually, the next car for Formula 1 probably gets a bit slower, by the way. So the gap will be very small. But the cost of investing in building the car and owning a race team is a fraction of a Formula 1 team.
“So you’re basically getting 95% or 98% of the performance for a fraction of the investment. I think Gen4 gets us right on the heels (of F1), and Gen5 is probably faster.”
The mention of Gen5 is deliberate, as early development work on the car that will follow Gen4 is already under way.
“Of course, the thinking never stops,” Dodds said, expressing early enthusiasm for what lies ahead. “We don’t even race on slick tyres. We’re racing on road tyres. We don’t have a lot of aerodynamic downforce - we’re not in wind tunnels, and the teams aren’t developing different aero packages.
“We’re achieving this speed on the basis of the battery, the powertrain and the software. So yes, Gen5 will benefit from better battery development and battery development is incredible at the moment.”
Gen4 car will attract “best drivers in the world”
Formula E has recently attracted talents such as Taylor Barnard and Zane Maloney directly from Formula 2. This season, Pepe Marti and Felipe Drugovich will make a similar transition - although the Brazilian made the switch three years after winning the F2 title, having waited on the sidelines as Aston Martin’s reserve driver for an F1 opportunity that never came.
Taylor Barnard, DS Penske

But with the Gen4 package, Dodds expects drivers to begin viewing Formula E as a destination rather than a fallback.
“I could talk about lots of drivers, but the two I think are particularly interesting are Taylor Barnard, who made the decision to come straight from F2 to Formula E and not really look at F1. And you have Felipe Drugovich, who was obviously Aston Martin’s reserve driver and has come across and they’re doing that in anticipation of the next car,” he said.
“I think when people see the car and have the chance to drive it, you’re going to have a number of F1 drivers - the best drivers in the world - seeing this as a potential place to build their future.”
Coincidentally, Dodds believes the same logic applies to fans, as the series looks to expand its following heading into the Gen4 era.
“In the end, we can do a lot of things right, but motorsport fans want to see the fastest, they want to see speed,” he added. “So the fact that we can show a material jump in speed and power in this car, I think it’s just more exciting for everyone.”
As mobile gaming continues to surge in popularity, 2025 has emerged as one of the strongest years yet for gaming-centric smartphones. With powerful chipsets, high-refresh displays, advanced cooling systems, and massive batteries, the latest flagships aren’t just phones anymore; they are pocket-sized gaming rigs. Whether you’re into competitive shooters, open-world RPBs, or intense battle royales, there’s plenty of great gaming smartphones to choose from.
So here’s our list of the best gaming smartphones of 2025.
Red Magic 11 Pro+
There are only a few brands that have a pure gaming pedigree, like Red Magic. So if you want a phone built from the ground up for performance and long gaming sessions, look no further than the Red Magic 11 Pro+. Unlike modern flagships that aim to offer a balanced experience, the Chinese brand goes all in on gaming.
Red Magic 11 Pro+
It features a tall 6.85-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate for an immersive gaming experience. Powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it pairs up to 24GB LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, more than enough for even the most demanding mobile titles. But what truly sets it apart is the dual cooling system. Not only does it have an active cooling system with a physical RGB fan, but it also features a vapor chamber liquid cooling. You can even see this system in the words as the liquid moves around in the pipes on the back.
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max
While Apple isn’t known to brand any of its devices as a gaming phone, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is a premium phone that delivers true flagship performance. Not only can you play some of the most intense mobile game titles, but Apple has also ported actual console-level games to its iOS platform.
Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max
So you can play popular games like Resident Evil 4, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Death Stranding, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and many more. So you have access to an impressive catalogue of games without relying on any particular streaming service.
iQOO 15
If you want flagship-class power without the premium flagship price, the iQOO 15 emerges as one of the best value flagships for gamers in 2025. It ships with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset that brings cutting-edge performance. Pair this with a tall 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display, and you get a smooth gameplay experience.
iQOO 15
One of its highlighting aspects is the massive 7,000mAh battery pack that promises long, uninterrupted gaming sessions. While it may lack some of the dedicated gaming-phone trappings like active cooling or shoulder triggers, its value-for-money positioning makes it attractive for casual and competitive gamers who don’t want to overspend.
OnePlus 15
The OnePlus 15 strikes a sweet balance between raw performance, everyday usability, and gaming-ready hardware. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 as well, but it pairs it with an even higher 165Hz refresh rate. The smooth display kicks in while you run certain titles, which brings an advantage in various competitive games.
OnePlus 15
This model outshines the iQOO 15 with its gigantic 7,300mAh battery pack that supports 120W wired fast charging as well as 50W wireless fast charging. It even supports bypass charging, which allows the device to run on a wired connection to prevent any overheating, so the battery doesn’t get damaged, and there is no performance throttling.
Honor GT Pro
Rounding out the list is the Honor GT Pro. A device that often flies under mainstream headlines but deserves attention if you’re serious about mobile gaming. While not always hyped, the Honor GT Pro has built a reputation for balancing performance, display quality, and capable cameras.
Honor GT Pro
Just like the rest of Android flagships in this list, you get the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite and a huge 7,200mAh battery pack. Honor announced this model earlier in the year, so it arrived ahead of the current flagship generation. However, the brand marketed this as a dedicated gaming smartphone since it packed the Leading Edition variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite along with a three stage cooling system that includes a 3D vapor cooling chamber, thermal conductive adhesive, and AI powered temperature control system.

If 2024 was a year of incremental updates, 2025 was the year the foldable form factor truly matured. We moved past the era of engineering curiosity and fragility into a time where these devices stood confidently alongside and often surpassed traditional flagship phones.
From Samsung’s meticulous refinement of its ecosystem to Huawei and Oppo pushing the physical limits of camera optics and hinge mechanics, this year’s lineup proved that foldables are no longer just experiments. They are now among the very best smartphones money can buy.
Here are our picks for the best foldable smartphones of 2025.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7
Samsung’s seventh-generation book-style foldable feels like the device the series was always destined to be. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 eliminates previous compromises, most notably in its weight; at just 215g, it is the lightest Fold yet, thanks to a new titanium-backed display and slimmer FlexHinge. The viewing experience has been significantly upgraded with an 8-inch main display featuring thinner bezels and the removal of the under-display camera, which has been swapped for a sharper 10MP sensor.
However, the headline feature is the camera system. For the first time, Samsung has integrated a 200MP flagship-grade sensor, allowing the Fold 7 to capture images that rival the best slab phones on the market. On the software front, the device acts as a premier mobile workstation. Running One UI 8 and Android 16, it leverages Galaxy AI for seamless multitasking, such as side-by-side editing and context-aware interactions with Gemini Live.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
Samsung also elevated its Flip line this year, turning the clamshell form factor into a productivity tool. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 introduced the biggest and brightest cover screen ever seen on the series, a 4.1-inch FlexWindow that genuinely feels like a standalone phone. This expanded real estate allows users to reply to messages, run full apps, or interact with Gemini Live without ever needing to unfold the device.
Beyond the screen, the Flip 7 is a powerhouse in its own right. It is the first in the series to support Samsung DeX, allowing it to double as a desktop computer, and it packs a larger 4300mAh battery despite being slimmer than ever. This combination of portability and power ensures that the Flip 7 offers a premium flagship experience that goes far beyond simple nostalgia.

Huawei Mate X7
While others focused on refinement, Huawei chose to experiment with aggressive hardware. The Mate X7 turned heads with its unique Yun Brocade Collector’s Edition design, but it is the camera system that truly sets it apart. It features a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and Huawei’s Red Maple color sensor, all of which combine to deliver stunning results in any lighting condition.
The display technology is equally impressive, with a foldable OLED screen that reaches a peak brightness of 2500 nits. Running on HarmonyOS, the device makes excellent use of this extra screen real estate with improved multitasking features and satellite messaging support. To top it off, the 5600mAh battery and titanium-reinforced body make the Mate X7 one of the most rugged and longest-lasting foldables released this year.
If Samsung and Huawei aimed for raw performance and camera versatility, the Find N5 focused on ergonomic perfection. This was arguably the most comfortable and polished foldable to hold in 2025, featuring a crease so shallow it is barely noticeable. This is made possible by an aerospace-grade titanium hinge that is both lighter and tougher than anything Oppo has shipped before.
The experience is just as premium on the inside. The 8.12-inch LTPO inner display supports stylus input, while the outer display has been upgraded for higher brightness. The Hasselblad-powered triple camera system, which includes a 50MP periscope lens and 6x optical zoom, holds its own in low-light and portrait scenarios. Furthermore, Oppo addressed battery anxiety by packing a massive 5600mAh silicon-carbon battery into the device, complete with fast wired and wireless charging, features its predecessor sorely lacked.
Huawei’s Pura X took the idea of a flip phone and flipped expectations. The device features a unique 6.3-inch inner display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a rarity in foldables, while the 3.5-inch outer OLED is a perfect square, giving the phone a distinctive, mirror-like aesthetic. Both screens are top-tier, supporting high-frequency PWM dimming and full 120Hz LTPO refresh rates.
Unlike many flips that compromise on cameras, the Pura X is a serious imaging device. It houses a 50MP RYYB main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide, and a 3.5x telephoto lens, offering flagship versatility in a playful form factor. When you add in IPX8 water resistance, satellite communication support, and a 4720mAh battery with 66W wired charging, the Pura X stands out as a flip phone that feels like a true flagship.

ESPN closed the final season of its coverage of Formula 1 in the United States with an all-time viewership record.
The broadcaster has revealed that it experienced an average of 1.3 million viewers across ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC for each race in 2025.
The 2025 season featured a tense intra-team battle between McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. A late surge from Red Bull's Max Verstappen added to the excitement at the end of the season, with the drivers' championship coming down to the wire at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. While the Red Bull driver took the final victory of the year, Norris's third-place finish at the Yas Marina Circuit was enough to clinch his first drivers' title.
For ESPN, the tense season finale in Abu Dhabi brought in an average of 1.5 million viewers, peaking at 1.8 million, according to Nielsen Big Data + Panel data.

The Disney-owned broadcaster had held the broadcasting rights to F1 in the US since 2018 and also had a stint of broadcasting the championship from 1984 to 1997.
"We’re incredibly proud of what we and Formula 1 accomplished together in the United States and look forward to a strong finish in this final season. We wish F1 well in the future," a statement from ESPN read at the time.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali added: "I think that our duty is to look into the future and try to make sure that F1 can have the right platform of developing our growth. And therefore I really want to thank ESPN for what they did today together, because they invested in us when no one was really ready to invest in us many, many years ago."
Honda's 2026 Formula 1 engine is almost here, but before we slip into our Christmas food comas, the Japanese manufacturer has offered the first hint at what next year's power unit will sound like.
An audio clip, posted by Honda and shared by Aston Martin on social media, has received huge praise after the sound of the 1.6-litre turbo V6 was recorded on a test stand. You can cleanly hear the honky bark of Honda's power unit as it rips through its rev range. On the downshift - lightning quick - burbles can be heard as the revs blip.
Within hours, the video received over 200,000 likes on the Aston Martin Formula 1 team's Instagram account, with it also collecting over 2000 comments. "Okayyyy Honda we hear you LOUD & CLEAR," one commenter posted as another added: "Best sounding engine since the V8 era."
Unfortunately, Honda and Aston Martin failed to give any more information on the build, but the sound was good enough to keep us all going for the time being.
From 2026, F1 will see a substantial change in the regulations. One of these changes sees powertrains increasing their reliance on electrical power, and many fans have been worried that this would result in a softened soundtrack on track. Fortunately, Honda's tease has partly put this worry to bed, with it suggesting that these new powertrains will have plenty of character when the time comes while also being more sustainable.
With the 2025 season coming to an end, Honda will join Aston Martin, which will become a works team for the 2026 season. This comes after a long stint of success with Red Bull, with the pairing achieving four drivers' and two constructors' championships. Red Bull will instead bring Red Bull Powertrains, backed by Ford, into 2026.
As with everything in F1, Honda's time in the championship has been mixed overall, but its peaks have been incredible. It won its first grand prix in 1965 and saw success through the late 1980s and early 1990s with Williams and McLaren.
The Red Bull Racing team celebrate and Thank Honda
The Red Bull Racing team celebrate and Thank Honda
Since then, Honda struggled when it powered McLaren in 2015, but its partnership with Red Bull was a prosperous one, with it powering all of Max Verstappen's championship wins.
With Aston Martin now adopting what has been a very successful manufacturer, supporters of the team will be more than happy with what they're now seeing - and hearing.

So yes, HUAWEI did it too. The Mate Pro+ series has now been renamed as Pro Max this year. Xiaomi taught us through its own sales numbers that, as long as the product is powerful enough, the name doesn’t matter. In fact, HUAWEI probably thinks the same way, which is why the Mate 80 Pro Max has become the new peak of HUAWEI smartphones. Also, this is the most impressive Pro Max I’ve ever seen. With a major redesign and a launch price lower than last year’s Mate 70 Pro+, there’s no reason the Mate 80 Pro Max would be anything less than great.
Design & Features
Let me answer the question you’re most curious about. No, this ring on the back doesn’t support magnetic accessories. Why the Mate 80 Pro Max has such a ring here it’s simply to prevent the functions of the wireless charging coil from being blocked by its metal back cover.
Compared to the Mate 70 series, the frames of the Mate 80 series have changed from round to flat. The benefit is that it looks slimmer. As for the downside, your hand will tell you.
The Mate 80 Pro Max is a phone with many holes. The three holes on the screen are nothing new; basically, the 3D facial recognition module and the front camera.
There are also five holes along the frame, including the microphone, speaker port, and SIM card slot—most of them are familiar to us. But what is this hole on the side for? HUAWEI told us that this is also one of the speakers. The difference is that it’s mainly used to cancel out the sound waves leaking during calls, to protect your privacy during phone calls.
Many of HUAWEI’s target users are outdoor explorers, so HUAWEI also designed new features for them. The Mate 80 Pro Max adds a new Expedition mode, which turns a modern smartphone into a professional outdoor tool. In addition to satellite communication and emergency messaging, it also extends battery life a lot. The map has also been optimized, automatically recording your path and allowing you to retrace your route anytime.
With IP68 and IP69 ratings, and the second-generation Kunlun Glass, treating the Mate 80 Pro Max as an ultimate rugged phone is absolutely justified.
Display
If you have the budget to buy the Mate 80 Pro Max or RS Ultimate version, your display will be upgraded from regular OLED to a Tandem one. Tandem OLED is not a new technology. The iPad Pro and HUAWEI Mate 70 RS Ultimate both use Tandem OLED.
The benefits of this panel are obvious—higher brightness, wider color gamut, and lower power consumption. Higher resolution may not be noticeable for everyone, but higher brightness is something you will definitely feel. I placed it next to several flagship phones we own, and at a glance, you can see how high the Mate 80 Pro Max’s brightness is.
Not only is it easier to read under sunlight, but it also excels at HDR content. The blinding highlights are hard to capture in video. Trust me, if you get a chance to see the Mate 80 Pro Max’s display in a store, you’ll definitely feel tempted to buy it.
The only downside of Tandem OLED is expense; however, the Mate 80 Pro Max is probably the cheapest Tandem OLED phone at launch right now. So this should be one of the strongest reasons for you to buy this phone.
Performance & Battery
The Mate 80 Pro Max uses the latest and most powerful Kirin 9030 Pro platform. Compared to the Kirin 9020, the 9030 Pro has one extra P-core, and both CPU and GPU frequencies have been improved. It’s worth noting that the four phones in the Mate 80 series have three different Kirin processor models. If you want the highest performance from a HUAWEI phone, you need to get the 16GB RAM Pro version at least.
Since the benchmarks we commonly use are all blacklisted by HUAWEI, we won’t be running benchmarks this time—the scores can’t prove the strength of a chipset anyway. So let’s jump straight to gaming performance.
Fortunately, miHoYo developed a HarmonyOS-exclusive version of Genshin Impact. This makes it one of the very few games that can fully unleash the Kirin 9030 Pro’s performance. And when you enable high-performance mode, you can disable frame interpolation.
HUAWEI also designed a new performance monitoring tool for all HarmonyOS phones: HiSmartPerf. With this, we can finally capture accurate frame rate curves from HarmonyOSI devices.
Wow, look at this perfectly straight frame rate graph—can you believe this is from a HUAWEI phone? This is the native frame rate without interpolation. I can’t believe that. It’s beautiful. Thanks to the full metal back cover, heat is evenly distributed. From this, the gaming experience seems comparable to other Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 phones.
Well, the Kirin 9030 Pro has indeed made great progress, but there is a cost—its power consumption still has room to improve. And with the battery capacity only increased by 300mAh compared to the previous generation—less than we expected—so battery life in gaming does indeed fall behind. Fortunately, under light workloads, it’s power-efficient enough to rival phones with 7000mAh batteries if you don’t play games.
Wired charging supports 100W, and wireless charging goes up to 80W. It only takes 50 minutes to fully charge in our tests. Overall, I think battery and charging performance are still satisfying.
Camera
All four camera sensors on the Mate 80 Pro Max come from SmartSens Technology. Honestly, I’m very happy with all four of them. The ultra-wide has a sufficiently wide field of view, and 2 telephoto lenses let me capture subjects far away.
There are two things to note: First, the ultra-wide camera is not compromised like in many other flagships. It uses the same sensor as the two telephotos, meaning image quality at every focal length remains excellent. Secondly, every sensor uses an RYYB filter, increasing light intake and greatly improving low-light performance. And the color shift caused by RYYB can be corrected with the second-generation color temperature sensor. Combined with the variable aperture on the main camera and SmartSens’s new HDR technology, this is the most feature-rich and balanced camera system I’ve seen. Whether it’s dynamic range, white balance, or focal coverage, I can’t find any faults.
Some phones try to use a 200MP mid-telephoto camera, rely on in-sensor zoom to cover longer focal lengths. Although in most cases, the cropped photos look similar to the Mate 80 Pro Max’s 6.2x optical zoom, this approach has two major drawbacks you might not know: One, their telephoto cameras cannot shoot macro photos. The Mate 80 Pro Max’s 4x telephoto has a minimum focusing distance of 5cm—the best macro performance we’ve ever seen on any phone, period.
Two, if you need to shoot video using the telephoto lens, the quality difference becomes huge. So, between a single large-sensor telephoto and two smaller-sensor telephotos that cover longer ranges, I’ll always choose the latter.
Speaking of video recording, the Mate 80 Pro Max has improved a lot as well. Shaking caused by stabilization has been reduced significantly. The ultra-wide sensor is also larger than that of other flagships, performing better than expected in low light.
The front camera is also from SmartSens, but with a smaller sensor. Selfie quality is average.
Conclusion
After reviewing this phone, I realized I like it more than the time I bought it. Although it looks more ordinary now, and its performance can’t compete with other Pro Max devices, HarmonyOS 6 is very smooth, and battery life is excellent if you don’t play games. The camera system is my favorite—full-range quad cameras—and it also has the brightest display I’ve ever seen.
Add long-held advantages like signals and Face ID, and you’ll understand why HUAWEI phones remain popular. Oh, and it’s also cheaper now, so for longtime HUAWEI users, this is the perfect time to upgrade.
A video of Lando Norris revealing that McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown had promised to purchase the Briton his dream car if he won a Formula 1 drivers' championship has resurfaced after his 2025 victory.
Norris secured his first drivers' championship victory in Abu Dhabi after finishing the race at the Yas Marina Circuit in third behind championship rivals Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri.
Since his win, footage has resurfaced which would indicate that if Brown keeps his side of the deal, he could owe Norris a Pagani Zonda.
The footage is a compilation of clips following on from a 2024 interview Norris did with The Telegraph. "I’ve got a deal with Zak – that if I win the championship he has to get me a car," he said at the time. "I’ve specified which car. We shook on it, but that’s all I’m saying. There’s a long way to go, it’s still a lot of points. But who knows?"
The video then cuts to an interview with Heart Radio, where he confirms that the car that he and Brown have made a deal on is his dream car since he was a child. "I can't say it! It's my dream car since I was a kid but it's not a McLaren," he explained.
In a later on-stage interview, the 26-year-old confirms his dream car is the Pagani Zonda. The sports car can range from hundreds of thousands to millions of pounds for a special edition.

A pivotal moment in aviation history is being marked by the inauguration of a new, direct air service. This monumental connection is being forged by Royal Air Maroc, which has officially announced the launch of its first-ever nonstop route linking Los Angeles (LAX) and Casablanca (CMN). This highly anticipated service is scheduled to commence on June 7, 2026. The establishment of this route holds immense significance, as it represents the first direct air linkage between the African continent and the vast expanse of the U.S. Pacific Coast, effectively closing a geographical gap that has long existed in transcontinental travel networks.
The new intercontinental trajectory is set to be facilitated with a high level of frequency, being operated three times per week. The journey across the Atlantic is projected to require approximately an 11-hour connection, providing a vastly superior alternative to the multi-stop itineraries that have previously been necessitated for travelers journeying between these two vibrant regions. The introduction of this direct link is viewed not merely as an operational expansion but as a substantial step forward in the solidification of the airline’s long-haul network, particularly within the crucial North American market. Extensive demand for this type of intercontinental travel has been duly recognized and subsequently addressed through this strategic initiative.
Strategic Response to Global Demand and Diaspora Links
The necessity of this direct service has been rigorously determined by growing travel demand across continents, a surge that is notably occurring ahead of major global events. The service is being meticulously designed to cater to a diverse clientele. It is anticipated that the large Moroccan and African diasporas residing on the West Coast of the United States will be significantly served, alongside American tourists seeking to explore the rich cultural tapestry of Morocco and the wider African landscape. Moreover, the route is intended to facilitate seamless passage for business travelers requiring swift and efficient access between the two continents.
A considerable impetus for this accelerated expansion is the proactive preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which is scheduled to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. A significant volume of soccer fans is expected to travel from Morocco, the greater African region, and Europe to the United States for this worldwide celebration of sport. The Casablanca hub is strategically positioned to act as a crucial gateway, collecting passengers from various originating points before facilitating their direct, convenient transit to the U.S. West Coast.
Casablanca: The Growing Intercontinental Hub
With the successful launch of this new service, Casablanca is expected to further solidify its already robust position as a pivotal major hub within the global aviation map. The city’s airport is strategically vital, acting as a crucial linkage point connecting the continents of Africa, Europe, and the Americas. This launch is in direct alignment with the strategic development blueprint that has been adopted by Royal Air Maroc. This plan encompasses several key areas of growth, including the essential expansion of the airline’s fleet size, the consistent opening of new and strategically important routes, and the overall increase in both international and domestic service frequencies. This systematic approach ensures that Morocco’s flagship carrier is not only maintaining its competitive position but actively enhancing its capability to serve as a world-class transit facilitator.
Enhanced Passenger Experience Aboard the Dreamliner
The successful operation of the new Los Angeles to Casablanca route will be entrusted to the esteemed Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This specific aircraft model was selected due to its globally recognized attributes of comfort, superior performance metrics, and the incorporation of cutting-edge aeronautical technology. Passengers are ensured a high-quality, comfortable travel experience that is consistent with Royal Air Maroc’s established standards for long-haul service.
The aircraft is designed with the modern traveler in mind, featuring advanced cabin pressurization and humidity control systems that are known to significantly reduce the effects of travel fatigue and jet lag. Aboard the Dreamliner, passengers are afforded the convenience of individual entertainment systems accessible from every seat, ensuring that the 11-hour journey is as enjoyable and productive as possible. The utilization of this specific aircraft underscores the airline’s ongoing commitment to delivering a premium, reliable, and technologically advanced travel environment, making the journey itself an integral part of the overall positive travel experience that is being offered to customers traveling to and from the U.S. Pacific Coast.
Broadening the North American Horizon
This monumental direct service to Los Angeles is being seamlessly integrated into and significantly strengthens Royal Air Maroc’s growing presence across the North American network. The airline already maintains established and successful operations in several major cities on the continent, which include New York, Washington, D.C., Miami, Montreal, and Toronto. The Los Angeles route acts as a complementary western gateway, balancing the existing strong presence on the eastern seaboard and in Canada.
In tandem with this major new launch, increased frequencies have also been announced for other strategically vital long-haul gateways. These include enhanced services to Miami and Washington, D.C. in the United States, as well as boosted capacity on routes serving São Paulo in South America and Dubai in the Middle East. This coordinated expansion across multiple strategic points globally demonstrates a unified approach to maximizing network reach and optimizing connectivity for passengers across the globe. The new service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Casablanca (CMN) represents a bold and confident statement regarding the future vision of African air connectivity, and tickets for this historic journey are already available to be secured by customers via the official Royal Air Maroc website, through their global call centers and sales offices, or by consulting their preferred travel agencies. This extensive accessibility ensures that demand can be readily met by the newly established, highly efficient air link.

Former Barcelona director Jordi Cruyff has admitted the club almost signed Antony from Ajax while he was there, though they instead chose to bring in Raphinha.
Antony ended up moving from Ajax to Manchester United and it’s fair to say he proved to be a major flop at Old Trafford, but he’s since revived his career in Spain with Real Betis.
It seems Cruyff remains a big fan of Antony, describing him as a “special player” on today’s episode of The Overlap.

Barcelona viewed Raphinha transfer as lower risk than Antony
Barcelona have been under a lot of pressure due to the Financial Fair Play rules in La Liga, and Cruyff felt that signing Antony might be riskier than Raphinha.
Although Cruyff is a fan of Antony, he felt that if he flopped at the Nou Camp it would be hard to make any money back on him later, whereas if Raphinha struggled he would probably have suitors in England due to shining at Leeds United.
In the end, Raphinha proved a big hit for the Catalan giants anyway, so this was clearly a good decision by Cruyff and co. overall.
Even if we’ll never know now, it’s perhaps a shame for Antony that he didn’t end up moving to Barcelona when they had an interest in him, as it could have been a better step for him when it came to leaving Ajax.
Many players have had a lot of joy going from Ajax to Barcelona down the years, including of course, Cruyff’s legendary father Johan.

Samsung Semiconductor reached out to us and shared an update on the memory shortage situation. The statement reads:
“Recent reports that Samsung’s DS division has rejected certain customer requests are baseless and not true. We are in close communication with global customers to address industry needs.”
December 1
Turns out that everything isn’t fine inside Samsung. A new report sheds light on an internal war, alleging that the Samsung chip team (DS Division) has refused Galaxy’s (MX Division) request, putting Galaxy S26 at risk.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 series early next year, but the MX Division has reportedly failed in securing a long-term deal with the DS Division on memory chip.
Sources citing SEDaily claim that Samsung’s DS Division has recently rejected the MX Division’s request for a long-term contract of DRAM for a year or more. The Division is only entertaining contracts on a quarterly basis at its best.
The report also suggests that there were high executive level discussions between the MX and DS divisions. However, the Mobile Team has just managed to secure DRAMs for the fourth quarter of the year, ending on December 31.
DS Division falls under Samsung Elec’s umbrella, but the business is reportedly sidelining DRAM and NAND contracts. The present focus is aimed at securing orders for beneficial products like HBM for AI data centers.
Galaxy S26 series will use DRAMs from Samsung Electronics and Micron. The supply will be split between the two firms, while the exact proportion is currently unknown.
Earlier this year, the price of Samsung’s 12GB LPDDR5X RAM was around $33. The prices have been skyrocketed in the past few months, with the same DRAM now costing around $70.
Seeing a potential spike, MX Division tried to score a long-term deal with DS Division. At this stage, the chip team is prioritizing its growth opportunity, but it has led the mobile business to face a chipflation and profit decline.
There’s a simple logic: MX is concerned about increasing DRAM and NAND costs. At the same time, DS isn’t bowing down, even for its sister division, as it aims to secure growth and revenue, benefiting from the memory super cycle.
Google’s Circle to Search is one of the most helpful AI features on Android phones and tablets. It lets you look up information about anything on your screen by simply long-pressing the home button or navigation bar. However, people using Samsung DeX have not been able to use this feature, but One UI 8.5 might change that.
Recently, Google released Android 16 QPR2, which includes several new improvements. It brings changes to Circle to Search, and it now works in Android’s Desktop Mode. This mode appears when your phone is connected to an external monitor or TV.
According to the latest information via Android Authority, you can start Circle to Search by long-pressing the app drawer button while in Desktop Mode. This means users can now quickly search for information even when using their phone like a computer.
With One UI 8.0, Samsung’s newer version of DeX introduced, which is also built on Android’s updated Desktop Mode. Because of this, there is a chance that Circle to Search will soon be available on Samsung DeX, probably with One UI 8.5.
However, the feature is not working just yet. When tested on a Galaxy S25 Ultra running the first One UI 8.5 beta, Circle to Search still didn’t appear in DeX. Long-pressing the home button showed a message saying it can’t be opened on a connected display. But long-pressing the app drawer button also did nothing.
This likely means Samsung hasn’t added the feature to the current beta version, or the Google Search app needs an update to enable it. But early leaks suggest that Circle to Search will arrive in Samsung DeX in a future One UI 8.5 update

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is equipped with advanced touch technology and an ultra-narrow fingerprint solution. Samsung-partner Goodix has now revealed the technological breakthrough behind the tri-fold device.
Goodix announced Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold phone uses its touch screen technology and ultra‑narrow fingerprint solution. The two hardware components are tailor-made for Samsung’s first multi-fold device.
As mentioned in the press release, Goodix supplies industry‑leading main & sub touchscreen controller and ultra‑narrow side‑key capacitive fingerprint solution to Samsung for its Galaxy Z TriFold multi-fold phone.
Touch solution tailor-made for Z TriFold
Goodix says its customized touch solution delivers high driving capability and exceptional resistance to display noise. It’s backed by Goodix’s proprietary hardware sampling architecture and noise‑suppression algorithms.
As a result, the phone’s panel scores a high signal‑to‑noise ratio (SNR) to ensure reliable touch response. A customized algorithm supports different fold states to deliver accurate touch rejection, folded or unfolded.
Ultra-narrow side-key fingerprint sensor
Galaxy Z TriFold is strikingly thin at 3.9mm at its thinnest point. Despite this sleek profile, the device retains a fingerprint sensor on its side key.
To meet the thin body, Goodix developed an ultra‑narrow (1.65mm) side‑key capacitive fingerprint sensor. The solution incorporates ergonomic design with enhanced security to provide fast, reliable authentication.
Samsung’s first TriFold phone is set to release on December 12. The first sale is about to start in South Korea, while the US release is likely in 2026. The device will sequentially expand to markets as Samsung assesses durability.

Black Forest Labs has announced the closing of its $300 million Series B funding round, valuing the company at $3.25 billion post-money. Founded just last year, the Freiburg and San Francisco–based startup has quickly emerged as a leader in frontier models for pixels, building systems that go beyond traditional image generation. Its mission is to create what cameras cannot capture—tools that understand intent rather than simply executing prompts, enabling imagination to become reality for enterprises and independent creators alike.
Millions of users are already engaging with Black Forest Labs’ FLUX models, which have become the most popular open-source image models on Hugging Face. On the enterprise side, adoption is strong across platforms such as Fal.ai, Replicate, and TogetherAI, while industry giants including Adobe, Canva, Meta, and Microsoft are integrating the models to power new creative experiences. These achievements underscore the company’s rapid ascent in the generative AI ecosystem.
The Series B round was co-led by Salesforce Ventures and Anjney Midha (AMP), with participation from Temasek, Bain Capital Ventures, Air Street Capital, Visionaries Club, Canva, and Figma Ventures. NVIDIA has released a new GeForce Hotfix display driver, version 581.94. This is based on the latest GeForce Game Ready driver, version 581.80, which launched around two weeks ago with day-one optimizations for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Europa Universalis V, and Anno 117: Pax Romana. Following that Game Ready driver, users reported lower performance in some PC games after updating to Windows 11 October 2025 KB5066835 [5561605]. This GeForce hotfix driver resolves the issue, so if you've experienced that, you should download it right away. Otherwise, the fix will be rolled into the next Game Ready driver, anyway.
